[ The song, if she remembered right, was called "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen; she knew how much Crowley loved their music, a smile on his face as he drummed the song with his fingers on the steering wheel. ]

The pair of demons reached Tadfield in no time in the Bentley. Abaddon wasn't a big fan of cars. Ever since they were invented they had been nothing but an inconvenience to her. Crowley seemed to love them almost as much as he loved his plants. Abaddon quickly discovered that he could spend hours looking at the different engines in those car conventions. She had agreed to go to one with him once and got bored out of her mind as soon as she stepped through the glass doors. He kept a childish, almost innocent smile plastered on his face the whole time; that was enough for her.

Abaddon wondered when she had turned that soft. She had always been praised for her coldness. She still felt it towards humans, but not for Crowley. Abaddon was so used to feeling that coldness that when she first felt that warm feeling spreading over her chest she thought that she might be feeling what dying felt for humans. She asked Aziraphale about it, knowing that he was fascinated by human things, and he told her what he thought to be obvious; that she was in love. She pondered about it for a few days and nearly forgot about it.ย ย

Crowley and Abaddon walked out of the old Bentley, leaving it parked on the side of a road she didn't recognize. There was a green esplanade where Abaddon looked at the figures of a bunch of kids and a dog running after a ball. She had seen the sport on TV several times before when she went to bars, she found it stupid.

She wouldn't admit to anyone that she was getting used to a more humanized style of life. Abaddon still visited Hell from time to time, she wasn't overly welcomed but she had never really been. Demons had never learned (or wanted) to keep quiet; yet, she knew they would never dare to say any of the things they thought out loud, at least not to her face. She would still hear muttered insults, whispers in a hostile tone and looks of disdain every time she would pass by.

Crowley had been banned from entering Hell, of course. Demons weren't great forgivers (or used to forgive for any matter), all and all, they were the damned. Aziraphale had been banned from entering Heaven too, but neither of the two beings seemed to be bothered by this. They only used to visit when they had to report something anyways, they had never done a courtesy visit in their long lives.

When Abaddon realized she had been zoning out for some minutes, she blinked a couple of times, regaining her focus on a small figure that was walking towards her; Crowley no longer by her side.

"Hello," the girl stopped when she reached the demon's side, looking upwards to stare at her face, "you must be Abaddon."

"How do you know my name?" she frowned, slightly tilting her head unconsciously.

"Well... Crowley told us a bit about you," the small girl looked back at her friends when she said the word "us", smiling as the kid that was wearing glasses had the ball. He trampled over his feet and fell to the ground; his friends helped him while Crowley took the opportunity to snatch the ball and score a goal. Being the only one celebrating it, he looked ridiculous; soon enough the other kid on his team started cheering too. "and you also appear in some books too."

The voice of the girl made Abaddon turn her head, paying full attention to her again, "Do I?"ย

"Yes, in the Bible. I haven't read it but I heard people speaking about it and knowing you were demons and you also know an angel, I got curious and I..." Abaddon zoned out again as the girl spoke, the demon had heard of the said book but she never considered she could be in it. Still, it did make sense.ย

She looked at Crowley, sprinting through the field with his sunglasses off, his black shirt barely hanging onto his body, chest almost fully exposed. He had never looked that happy, and when he turned to her, Abaddon returned the genuine smile while she realized that the angel might've been right.
