"I wish I could believe you" those words kept repeating in Ava's mind as she walked into her lonely apartment. how could he not believe her? how could he take his fathers word before even listening to her? she did not sleep with Connor's father, she knew that and so did Cornelius but, but for some reason Cornelius just wanted to ruin what she had with his son.

[Five days later]

It had been five days. Five days since Connor broke things off. Five days since Ava had turned up at work. Five days since anyone had seen her. Connor just thought that she had taken time off after he broke up with her, until people started talking saying that she was not answering Ms Goodwin's calls to ask why she had not coming into work, she had abandoned social media and had cut all contacts.

Connor was in the middle of a surgery when the phone rang, Beth picked it up and answered.

Beth: Dr Rhodes, its for you

Connor: tell them im a bit busy right now

Beth: its Ms Goodwin, she says its urgent

Connor: *sighs* right, fine. page Dr Lathem to finish up the surgery

Connor ripped his gloves off and left the OR, heading to Ms Goodwin's office. He knocked the door and walked in, he saw Ms Goodwin sitting at her desk and Jay Halstead standing to the side.

Sharon: Dr Rhodes, thank you for joining us. please sit. so as you know Dr Bekker has been absent form work for the last five days.

Connor: yes

He was confused. why was Jay here? and what did this have to do with Ava?

Jay: The hospital received this package this morning

Jay handed over a brown envelope

Jay: Inside you'll find only two things, a note addressed to you, Dr Rhodes, and a photograph

Connor took out the photo first and looked at it.

Connor: im sorry, im confused.

Sharon: the image is a close up of Dr Bekker name on her uniform, with what appears to be blood stains

Connor then pulled out the note,

Dear Connor Rhodes, Mr Rhodes, Dr Rhodes, or whatever you want to call yourself.

just thought we would let you know that we have her.

Jay: below the note as you can see there is a finger print in what we presumed was blood, we had the figure print examined with Dr Bekker's ID barge and it's a match. we also had the DNA from the blood tested and it is also a match for Dr Bekker.

Connor: so what are you saying?

Sharon: Dr Rhodes, we believe that Dr Bekker had been abducted.
