The last week

Lol PoV

Things with James were going great! We had been happy for a few months. And now school is almost done. Soon we're going to leave hogwarts for good. I didn't know what would happen after that. What I was doing with my time after school. I said that I want to be an auror. And I do. I just didn't know if knead good enough. And what would happen with me and James? Would we split up, or move in together? I was just really scared about the future and life after school.

One Saturday evening, James and I were studying for our NEWTS under a tree by the black lake. I was studying ancient runes and James was studying for divination. I don't know why he took that class. It was just a bunch of baloney.

James then closed his book unexpectedly with a loud clunk. "Lily." He said.

"What?" I asked alarmed.

"School ends in a week."

"Why do you think we're studying?" I asked kind of sarcastically and playfully.

"No. Just. Let me talk for a minute. School ends soon. And I'm going to go train to be an auror. You are as well, but we would both be super busy. We would never see each other. Or be able to talk to each other."

I thought I knew where this was going. He was going to break up with me, I knew it!

"I suppose we will be a bit busy." I replied.

"I want to be able to talk to you and see you everyday though. I just love you so much." He continued as though I never said anything. "I love you with all my heart lily Evans and would love if you became Lily Potter instead." He brought out a beautiful diamond ring. It had a diamond the size of the top of a tack and it had two emerald stones on either side of it. It was the most gorgeous Thing I had ever laid my eyes on! "Will you, lily Evans, marry me?" He asked.

"Yes!" Yes may be a short word. But it was the smartest thing I had ever said.

James smiled put the ring in my finger and kissed me.

The rest of the week I was happy and giddy. I showed everyone my ring! I bragged about my amazing fiancé to anyone who would listen. I even told some people with Snape around so that he could hear about it too. He looked so angry, that just made getting married all the more better. Not only do I get to spend the rest of my life with James, the man I love, but I get to start a family with him! I wanted 2 little girls and a little boy. I also wanted a dog. Just a small one.

The days of the last week rolled by and he school year ended. And I was left to devote all my waking hours planning my wedding with my mother. Petunia wasn't to happy that my wedding was so close after hers. She had already been married to that whale of a man for a little over 2 months. They seemed happy. I don't see how anyone would be happy with a partner like either of them. But I guess a negative times a negative makes a positive.

My mother was thrilled with the news of my engagement. She had a while basket full of wedding magazines with lots of beautiful dresses in them and dress store recommendations. She seemed more happy about me getting married than me! And I didn't even think that was possible until I told my mother.

"I think one of our colors should be white. White goes with everything." I said to my mother one August day. We were sitting at my moms kitchen table planning the wedding. James was there too. But he was mostly relaxing and letting us do most of the planning. I could feel his eyes on me though.

"James, what do you think the other color should be?" I asked.

He gave a start he had been staring transfixed at me. He wasn't expecting me to address him.

"I chose white as one. You should choose the other. This is your wedding too." I said with a smile at the loving look in his eyes.

"Hmm. I think it should be emerald." He said, not taking his eyes off mine.

"Ooh! That would look so lovely!" My mother squealed.

We continued planning.

"Are you sure the dress is alright?!" I asked my mother and Marlene frantically. "This is my wedding day! It has to be PERFECT!" I said.

"Lily the dress is simply magnificent! And even if it wasn't, you wouldn't have time to change it. You're getting married in half an hour." Marlene said fixing my hair.

It was a nice April day. James and I had wanted a spring wedding so we could have it outside so we waited for a few months. We had already bought a nice small home in Godricks hallow that would be perfect for us and our two kids. We had moved into it only a week before our wedding.

"Oh! My baby girl! Getting married!" My mother was tearing up again. She brought me in for a tight hug.

"Oh Marie! Stop crying your embarrassing her!" My dad said walking in. "Hi sweetheart." My dad, ken, said.

"Hi dad." I said. My mom had released me so I hugged my father.

"Okay now let me put the finishing touches on your hair. The ceremony starts soon." Marlene said. She had done an elegant princess bun on top of my head. She also had a small tiara that was connected to a veil. She put that on. Then my mom went to take her place. Alice and Molly who were my other two bridesmaids came in. They were wearing white and green dresses. They looked amazing.

We stood outside the doors waiting. I was holding my fathers arm and I was shaking so much Marlene had to push my tiara thing back into my hair. Then the music started.

"Good luck" Molly whispered

"See you in there." Alice said.

"Lily you're my best friend. I love you." Marlene said.

Then they went in through the double doors Marlene first because she was my maid of honor.

"Sweetie, Your mother and I are so proud of you. It is a joy to have your beautiful face to see everyday. You'll always be my beautiful little princess." My dad said. Then he kissed me on the cheek and we walked in.

The wedding had a good turnout. There were lots of people. But k didn't really notice until the reception afterwards. Walking down the isle I saw only one person. My one true love.

He was looking at me like I was the most amazing thing to ever happen to him. And the feeling was mutual. He was the light of my life and I loved him with all my heart.

He had patted his hair down for this. You could she he had used a lot of water and hairspray and gel. He looked so different with it tamed. I liked it better when it was fluffy.

When I reached him and my dad handed me over I took my hands and messed up his hair. He was back to looking like normal. Then I took hi hands again.

I love you he mouthed.

I love you more! I mouthed back with a smile. His eyes were adoring. Anyone could see that he loved me more than life itself and no doubt would does for me. I knew right then that this was the best moment of my life, standing there with James and looking into his amazing brown eyes while the priest married us.
