6.The new neighbour

Jade's p.o.v. (point of view)

What a beautiful morning! I love sunny days. They are a chance for me to go out and hang out with my best friend Leigh-Anne.
My phone rings. It's Leigh-Anne. I answer it.
J(Jade):Hello, beautiful!
LA(Leigh-Anne):Good morning sweetie!
J:How are you?
LA:I am fine! Thank you! I called to say that we can't hang out today, because I write a lesson in the university on Monday and I have to study. Sorry!!!
J:Don't worry, Leigh-Anne! It's ok!
LA:Ok, goodbye then! I have to study!
J:Bye, Leigh!
We hang up and I look outside of my window. What a sunny day is today!
Suddenly, I hear a knock on my door. I go there and I open it. It is an unknown girl.
J:Hello!
P(Perrie):Hello! I am Perrie! Your new neighbour! I live next to you!
J:Hey, I am Jade! Come in!
P:Sorry, but I have a lot of things to unpack in my apartment.
J:Ok, I can help you, if you want it.
P:You are very sweet. Come on!
We go to her apartment and we start to unpack things. I have to say that she has a lot of things and I don't think the apartment has so much space to put them.
I keep looking while I do what she ask me to do. She is really beautiful. Really sweet. And I think she is kind. Her blonde hair is really shinning.
J:What do you use to keep your hair so shinning?
P:This is a really tricky question, which a lot of people have asked me. I do not use anything!
J:Seriously?
P:Yeah!
J:So, you have the best hair I have ever seen in my life!
P:Thank you so much.
We finish and we head to the kitchen.
P:Sorry, I didn't have anything to offer you, because I have not went to the supermarket yet.
J:Don't worry about it! Do you want to come to my house for a cup of tea?
P:Of course!
We go to my house and we spend the afternoon together.
P:Ha ha ha! That was very funny Jade!
J:Yes, and then my sister started screaming, because she thought that I got hurt.
P:Ha ha!
J:Perrie.
P:Yes, Jade!
J:Do you want to stay here for dinner?
P:I don't want you to get more tired because of me. That's enough for today.
J:I am not tired. I just want to spend more time with you.
P:I am so happy I am hearing it, but are you sure that I am not tiring?
J:Sure,Perrie! We have already became friends.
P:Ok! What are going to eat?
J:That's my girl!
I can say I love being with her. I know her just for a few hours, it is like I know her for ages.
P:I really like this.
J:What, Perrie?
P:You are really hospitable! I did not think that you would be so caring with me.
J:Why, Perrie?
P:I have lived in so many houses, but my neighbours was always looking at me in a strange way. No one of them was my friend. I was the weird guy for them. I was really anxious when I knocked your door. I didn't know who are you. I thought you would no accept me.
J:Why would somebody not accept you?
P:I am not like the other girls.
J:What do you mean?
P:I will tell you, but you have to promise that you won't tell this to anyone first.
J:Ok, Perrie. I promise. What's it?
P:Well, I like people who have the same gender as me.
J:This is not bad!
P:Really? Don't you have any problem with this?
J:No, Perrie! It's ok!
P:You are the first person who accepts me for who am I. Not even my parent's are good with this.
J:Why? This is not something illegal.
P:They always say that I have to do what is right for me. They tried to introduce me a lot of men, but there was nothing to make me change my mind. One day my parents told me that if I don't have a relationship with one of them or another man, they will not allow to me to enter their house again. So, I took my clothes and I left. I went to a hotel the first night and the next day I started work to a bar near the hotel I was living.  It was terrible. I was alone. After a few months, I had earned enough money to rent a house near to the bar. But, it was not a good idea. I was always bringing my girlfriend to my new house to hang out with her, but my neighbours were really old fashioned and they threw me out. I was looking for a house. But, I didn't find anything. My girlfriend suggested me to live with her. I agreed with her and I went to her house. We lived together for two months. Then, we broke up and I left. I knew that a friend of mine was renting a house and I asked him to rent it to me. I thought that I had find the right place for me. It was really wonderful. A kitchen, a big living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. I loved it. I lived there for six months when the person who rented this to me told me that I had to pay more to stay there. I couldn't afford it. It was already so expensive for me. I finally left this house. Then, I was looking for something cheap. I found a little apartment, where I lived for a week. It was really far from where I was working and I had to pay a lot of money to move to the bar.  I left this house , also, because that day my boss at the bar told not to come there again. He said that he can't pay two waitresses. He didn't say that to the other girl, because she was the owner's daughter and he couldn't. I left the bar in tears. It was really bad. This night I went to the house and I took my stuff, because I knew that I could not pay for it. I was sleeping outside at the park. It was awful. I slept like that for a couple of weeks. Afterwards, I met a lady who offered me work and a room at her house. I was working as a cleaner and a cooker at her house and for the first time this year I was happy. She paid me a lot of money and I finally rented the apartment next to this. I still work at her house and I am so glad she found me. She is my saver. I depend on her. That was my life the last year. That's why I think that being like me is bad.
I feel my eyes being full of tears.
P:Jade are you crying?
J:...
P:Oh, Jade...
J:It was an extremely terrible period for you. I can't believe how you coped with all of these. It must be so hard.
P:It was, but you don't have to worry about it. I am fine now. This is an example why it is bad to like people who have the same gender as me.
I was crying. It was really for me to handle all this situation.
J:No, Perrie, it is not bad.
P:Why do you believe this?
J:The reason why I believe this is because I like them too...
