My boyfriend and I were cooking dinner for ourselves since we wanted to try and do that together.

We decided to make spaghetti and chicken tenders since Jaden isn't a huge fan of meatballs.

Jaden boil the spaghetti and breaded the chicken and got ready to fry it.

"Babe we have frozen chicken tenders. We could do them in the air fryer. It's much safer and easier" he said "no but it's not the same" I said "the ones I made right here are going to be so crispy and full of flavor"

"Are you sure I'm fine with the frozen kind" he said "no I don't want you to eat the frozen kind when I just finished making them"

"All right, be careful.. Oh right, I forgot the basil let me go get it" he said and ran to our backyard, where my mother had some fresh fruit send vegetables there.

My family are huge food lovers and that's why we like things mostly homemade and fresh. Honestly fresh fruits and vegetables taste much better than you'd think.

I placed the chicken pieces into the hot oil and started frying them until they were crispy golden brown, and took them out.

Jaden was making the spaghetti sauce and had his back facing me. I tiptoed closer to him, and wrap my arms around him, hugging him for his behind.

He smiled and placed a hand on top of mine "hello" "Hii" I smiled and he pulled me to be next to him and placed his arm around me.

"You know I love it when you cook" I said and he smiled "yea?" "Mhmm you look hot, boyfriends, who cook are keepers" I said and he chuckled.

"You know I'm not that great of a cook but I'm learning" he said "I know and that's why my Abuela likes you"

"Honestly if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have started learning how to cook" "hold up so you started cooking because of me?" I asked surprised to hear that "yes of course I did"

"No way" "yea way" "why?" "I don't know something just hit me when I saw you baking cinnamon rolls with baby my brother that made me wanna learn" "oh and when you made Javon and I that was fire quesadillas at night, still my favorite thing in the world"

You don't know how happy I was to hear that, I turned around to quickly check on the chicken and saw my dog standing up on his feet and trying to lick the hot pot of oil.

"Jupiter no!" Without thinking I pushed the hot pot of oil with my bare hands away from him. I did not feel the pain until I close the fire.

"Shit!" I cried holding my hands "oh my god Y/n!" Jaden quickly came over and checked my hands "no don't touch it hurts!"

"Oh god Y/n what were you thinking?" Jaden took me to the sink and opened the water. "Its warm water don't worry," he said placing my hands under the water I hissed in pain and tears ran down my cheeks.

"It hurts" "sorry I know it does but you have to keep it under warm water for at least 10 minutes before you could add any cold symptoms or cream on it" he said.

After 15 minutes I pulled away "you stay here and I'll quickly grab the first aid kit" Jaden ran upstairs to the bathroom and take out the first aid kit and brought it downstairs.

He picked me up and sat me on the kitchen counter "this cream will help cool down the pain a little but might sting at first but I promise it'll heal faster" he said and started to apply the cream to the palm of my hand, rubbing it on my fingers.

He took out some medical tape and wrapped it around my hands "Babe not so tight" I squeaked "sorry sorry"

When he was done he pulled me into a hug and we stayed there for about five minutes. "I'm sorry are you okay" he asked and I nodded "don't be sorry it's not your fault" I said looking at him.

"Yea it's Jupiter's fault" he said looking at my golden retriever who looked upset, he whimpered and rubbed his head on my feet showing that he was sorry. It's okay bud" I smiled and ruffled his hair.

"Do you want to take it to the hospital?" he asked and I shook my head "it's okay I'm feeling much better already"

I looked over and saw the small mess we made "we still haven't finished making dinner" I said "don't you even think of doing anything" Jaden said and I chuckled.

"What are we going to do then?" "I'm going to keep cooking and you will just sit here and watch. You can tell me if I did something wrong" he said.

"But-" "no buts don't even try and argue with me missy, you just injured your hands there's no way in hell I'm letting you do anything"

"Babe you're overreacting" "okay maybe I am maybe I'm not in the end your not going to do anything end of discussion"

I laughed and pulled Jaden in for a kiss "okay Jdub I won't do anything but watch" "good"

I watched as Jaden cooked us dinner and told him what to do. In the end he was so happy and proud of the amazing food he did.

"I can't believe I made this" he said taking another bite of the spaghetti "believe it my love you did"

"Ughh I love you so much" he said and I giggled wiping the sauce off his face "I love you too"
