Do you believe in the quote called "the more you hate, the more you love" well back then I don't believe in it, but now I believe in it.

I'm Kang Y/n a swimming athlete, I'm currently 17 and still in highschool.

My parents move alot so that means, many highschools, I don't know how to make friends because I know I have to leave them eventually, but this time, we are staying in Seoul permanently.

My dad is a CEO of a very famous clothing brand while my mom is a nurse, so whenever I get sick or have injuries Because of swimming my mom will take care of it.

It's actually my first time here, even though we move alot, but we move from country to country and our last stop is our home country.

It's going to be my first day here in my school called IZ highschool, and all the elderlies here say that, that school is the best when it comes to sports.

I looked at myself one more time at the big ass mirror infront of me as I let out a heavy ass sigh. "Kang Y/n..you can do it."I mumbled as I heard a knock.

"Ms.Kang we have to go now."My dad's Butler said as he bowed. I nod and grabbed my backpack and excited my room.

I walked downstairs as I saw my dad joking around with my older sister and Mom. "Oh Y/n! Eat first."Dad said as he signalled me to come over as I just obeyed.

I sat beside my sister as I just quietly ate a little breakfast. "Why are you quiet? Back then you usually joke around or something."Dad asked as I just shrugged my shoulders.

"She is in puberty stage dad, let this little puppy be."Hyewon unnie said as she pat my head and continued eating.

I looked at my watch as I saw that we have 20 minutes before class starts and we still have to get our schedules.

"Hyewon unnie, we have to go now."I said as I stand up and bowed at my parents, "ok then we will go now mom, dad."Hyewon unnie said as she also bowed.

"We will go now."I said as they replied. "Ok have fun and be safe.", We entered the car as I sighed and we exited our house.

"Why so gloomy?"Hyewon unnie asked. "It's just I'm not excited."I said as I stared outside. "Hey we are staying here for good, you have nothing to be afraid of."Hyewon unnie said as she hold my hand.

I smiled as dad's Butler told us that we arrived. We exited the car as we bid goodbye to Dad's Butler and walked towards the school.

A lot of people where staring at us as me and unnie just shrugged it off, people see us as cold and arrogant rich kids but we aren't what you expect.

Me and Hyewon unnie are close since we are just 1 year apart. We walked towards the faculty as a hard shoulder bump made me stop.

I looked at the person's back profile , as I scoffed. "Aren't you going to say sorry?"I asked as I was waiting for a sorry.

"Y/n, we have no time to fight."Hyewon unnie said as I sighed and nod. We were going to walk away when a hand was placed on my shoulder.

"You should be the one saying sorry."I high toned voice said as I looked at the person's hand and turned around.

She was shock and so as I, she was really tall as my height was just around her ear. I stared at her as I suddenly remembered a bunny.

"You look like a bunny."I mumbled as she her eyes suddenly became wide. "What did you say?"she asked as I just shake my head.

"I won't repeat it twice, and I have no time for you or you're nonsense, and I'm not going to say sorry."I said as I walked away as Hyewon unnie followed me.

We got our schedules and as I looked at mine, it's just full of activities, no educational activities needed. "Hey are you Kang Y/n?"Someone asked me as I just nod.

"You're  a swimming athlete right? You're ranked 2 on the freestyle competition in the US."she asked as I just nod again.

"Would you mind joining our swimming club?"she asked as I looked at my sister as she then gave me a smile.

"Do you mind if I look at your swimming area?"I asked as she nod. We walked towards a big indoor swimming pool as I heard whistle blows.

"I didn't introduce myself but I'm Hani you can call me couch Hani. I'm the couch of the swimming team."She Introduced herself as I did the same. "Kang Y/n."

"Here we are! This is the swimming area, this is where we train."Coach Hani said as the swimmers lined up and bowed at her.

"Goodmorning everyone, we have a new member here."Coach Hani said as I looked at her  shocked. "I didn't agree yet!"I shouted as Coach Hani just laughed.

"I know you couldn't ignore the water,"Coach Hani said as she gave me a smile. "welcome her."Coach Hani said as they all did.

"Where is wonyoung?"Coach Hani asked as a hand was raised. "I'm here Coach!"A tall girl walked up to the front as I analyze her features I then recalled she was the girl earlier.

"You?!"both of us shouted as we both pointed at each other.i clicked my tongue as I sighed. "You have to get in this team, you can't ignore the water when it's calling you."I mumbled as I decided to look somewhere else.

"Ok then Y/n, meet wonyoung. Wonyoung meet Y/n, both of you are going to be partners in the relay with Yena and Mia."Coach Hani said as I looked at her.

"I'll agree, if I do freestyle."I said as wonyoung walked towards us. "no you can't, I'm going to do freestyle."Wonyoung said as I just rolled my eyes.

"Then it's a no."I said as I walked away and self toured myself in this indoor swimming pool.

*Coach Hani's P.O.V*

"Wonyoung-ah, we need Y/n, please just this once."I begged wonyoung as she just scoffed. "No is a No."wonyoung replied as I looked at Y/n looking around.

"Let's settle this with a swimming competition?"I asked as wonyoung looked at me. "Sure I'm going to win anyways."Wonyoung replied as I nod and called Y/n over.

"Both of you are going to compete for the freestyle category."I said as Y/n looked at wonyoung up and down before nodding.

Both of them proceeded to change as I sat at a near down chair. "Jang wonyoung..Kang Y/n.."I mumbled as I looked at the pool.

"Interesting."I said as I got ready.

*Y/n's P.O.V*

"I'm going to crash that wonyoung."I mumbled as I then felt a tap at my shoulder as I looked around I saw a duck looking person.

"Hi! I'm Yena and I'm in the backstroke category! I know you think of me as a duck, but I am I float when I'm in the water, and I saw you in a competition once and I think you will crash our captain."Yena then said as I just looked at her.

"Captain?"I asked as she nod."yes captain, our captain is wonyoung."Yena said as I grabbed my goggles and nod."I'm indeed going to crash her."I said as I exited the locker room.

I got out as I saw wonyoung already standing in the diving board. I stand next to her as I can sense her staring at me as I just remained calm.

"Ok, both are already here then let's get started."coach Hani said as both of us nod. "Ready, Get set.."Coach Hani said as she whistled.

I jumped as I hard as I can as I was leading the race. But why am I feeling intimidated by her? Why am I feeling uneasy?

I already reached the turn point as I smoothly turned leaving wonyoung stunned. Wonyoung then tried to catch up but I already won.

I then removed my goggles as I got out of the pool and looked at wonyoung who was staring down. "Loosing makes you stronger, don't let it take you down. I expect next time we compete, you will beat me."I said as she looked at me with staring eyes as I walked away.

It's already my 4 month here and me and wonyoung keep getting on each other's bad side as Coach keep making us sit on the bench.

I sighed as I sat 7 seats away from her and looked at the others happily training. "The relay is coming up, and we keep getting on each other's bad side, do you want to continue? Or quit."I asked wonyoung as I stared straight at her.

"Who cares about the race, I wanna beat you.."Wonyoung said as she stared back.  "How can You beat me, if you're record is 2x slower than mine. I know you're not doing your best. And I'm gonna keep getting on you're bad side until you do your best."I said as I grabbed my towel and exited the indoor pool.

Later that night I was still at the school since I need to fill up some papers,when I was done I decided to look around the school.

My last stop was the indoor swimming pool as I heard water splashes so I decided to enter. I then saw wonyoung doing laps as I sat at the bench.

I grabbed a timer and timed her, and as she reached the wall I looked at the time and it says 23:09 seconds as I looked at her.

"Well done."i said as she got out of the water being greeted by my pretty face. "How long have you been there?!"She asked as I threw her a towel.

"Oh thank you."Wonyoung said as I nod. "I've been here for about 5 minutes."I said as I sat at the diving board.

"You know, you can beat me. If you do you're best, and I'm sorry for being rude."I said as I grabbed a water bottle and throw it towards her.

"I want us to do our best at the relay, it's not only your battle you have 3 more members, that means it's a team Battle. Teamwork we need that in order to win."I said as I looked at her.

"Your doing the Butterflystroke right?"I asked as wonyoung nod. "You know your better at butterfly than freestyle. And you can shine more if you do butterfly, I'm not saying this because I feel bad about you, what I am saying is the truth."I said.

"You know what, you're right. I'm being selfish, I'm sorry. But Y/n why does my heartbeat increase whenever I'm around you. Why do I want to impress you Everytime we practice?"Wonyoung asked as I smiled.

"You like me, eww"I said as I pretended to be discussed. "I'm just joking."I added. "No you are right. I like you.."Wonyoung said as I look at her.

"I'm going to win the relay! What I mean is not me but us! And if we win, let me court you!"Wonyoung said as she stand up.

"Deal."I said as I threw her the timer and walked out. "You better do your best."I shouted.

It's now the D-Day, we got out of the bus as I looked at the auditorium infront of me.

Wonyoung has been really clingy and I like it..well who wouldn't?! Well, we need to win inorder for her to Court me.

All of us headed to the locker area as we saw other swimmers. We changed to our attire as we still have 30 minutes before relay starts so we decided to wear our jackets.

We headed to the bench as this is the last competition before relay starts. I looked at wonyoung as she seems nervous.

"You look nothing like yesterday."I said as wonyoung looked at me. "Of course I'm nervous what if we didn't win then I won't be able to court you."Wonyoung said as our teammates look at us.

"Don't think about that for now, we have to win first."I said as wonyoung nod.

"Ok relay swimmers get ready!" The organizer said as all of us nod and take off our jacket and walked towards the swimming pool.

We stand in the 5th lane and in order, YENA-MIA-WONYOUNG-Y/N.

As I told them that we can do it. Yena was up first as I told her goodluck.

Yena had a nice start but then the 4th lane started to catch up. Yena then turned as her speed fasten then reached the wall and Mia then started.

We are now in the lead as Mia turned but then the 3rd lane catched up and now we are 2nd.

It's now wonyoung's turn as I pat her back and smiled at her. She then dived as her jump was perfect, she then fasten her speed as she already catched up to the 3rd Lane and now we are first.

Wonyoung smoothly turned and the gap came in wide. I stand in the the dive board as I saw wonyoung coming close. Wonyoung touched the dive board and I jumped in a perfect form, I then fastened my speed as I saw 4th Lane speeding up.

I reached the turning point as I I turned smoothly and now our gap is wide, I then touched the wall as we came in 1st.

I looked up and saw Yena unnie offering a hand as I gladly accepted it. I got out of the pool as I saw wonyoung ran up to me and gave me a bear hug.

"H-hey I can't breathe.."I said as I tapped out. "Kang Y/n! Can you let me court you?"Wonyoung asked as Yena and Mia squeeled and slapped each other's arms.

"Well..even if we didn't win I would still let you court me."I said as yena then cutted us off. "The more you hate, the more you love."Yena said as I then heard coach Hani shout.

"Date!" I just laughed and nod. "I wanna announce that nobody can have my Y/n! Because she is now mine!"Wonyoung shouted as the team cheered.
