"Time to wake up baby." Joe whispers as he starts giving his boyfriend kisses all over his face, in the hope to wake Ben up.
The blond stirs a little before groaning loudly.
Joe giggles softly when Ben yawns and buries his face into the fabric of Joe's purple hoodie. "Benny you really have to get up. The doctor will be here soon." The ginger says softly before giving the boy a kiss on the forehead. He runs his hand through Ben's messy hair.
Ben shakes his head. "I wanna keep cuddling." He whines.
Joe rolls his eyes with a smile. "I can to go home today." He whispers when Ben still hasn't opened his eyes.
Immediately Ben's eyes flutter open. "Really?" The blond asks with twinkling eyes.
Joe chuckles and nods. "Yes, really. But now get your ass out of bed, otherwise the doctor will get mad at us." He says.
Ben giggles sleepily and does what Joe tells him. He runs his hand through his blond hair, hoping it will get a bit less messy. He got out of bed just in time, because not even seconds later the doctor enters the room.
"Good morning." The man says with a smile. "Are you ready to go home?" He asks Joe.
The latter nods eagerly. "More than ready." The ginger says with a big smile.
The doctor chuckles. "Okay then. I'm going to do some final tests, and if everything looks well you're allowed to go home. I am gonna give you a bunch instructions though." He explains.
Joe nods, to say  he understands. 

After Joe's blood pressure is measured, the doctor asks him to get up out of bed. "Can you walk from the door to Ben?" The man asks.
Joe nods, and step by step he walks to his boyfriend. At first he doesn't get what is so difficult about this. But when he's close to Ben, he starts to feel dizzy.
Ben was already prepared, and gets up so he can help the boy to his bed again. "Don't worry, I got you." He whispers reassuringly.
Joe looks at the doctor in a bit of a panic. Does this mean he isn't better yet?
"That's what I expected. Don't worry, it's very normal to get dizzy while you're walking after all this. Try to walk a bit every day, it will get easier." The doctor says reassuringly when he sees Joe's look.

After some more tests, the doctor smiles at the two boys. "Everything looks great Joe." He says.
Both Ben and Joe smile relieved. 
When the doctor briefly leaves the room to alter Joe's file, Ben sits down onto the bed again.
The ginger doesn't give him time to speak, and connects their lips.
Ben immediately melts into the kiss. "Can't wait to take you home." He whispers with a smirk.
Joe giggles at that.
A minute later the doctor enters the room again, this time with three small bottles of pills in his hands. "I have some medicines here. I'll explain which one you have to take when and how often, and after that you're good to go." He says.
Joe nods, and listens sharply to the instructions. 
"So, these two pills are for your head injury. One will help it to heal faster, the other will help against your headache. Take one from both every morning and evening for the first three weeks. They do make you quite tired, so if you get drowsy just give in. Don't fight to stay awake, that will make your headache worse afterwards." The doctor pauses his explanation for a moment to make sure the boys both get it.
Both Ben and Joe nod. 
The doctor smiles and continues. "And these pills aren't mandatory, but when you start to feel dizzy or nauseous they will ease it a bit." He explains.
Ben shakes hands with the man. "Thank you doctor."

Once the doctor has left, Ben walks towards the hallway to call Rami so he can take them home. Since Joe can't walk more than a meter without getting dizzy, they need someone to drive them home.
While Rami is on his way, Ben is going to get a wheelchair for Joe, as the doctor told him.
The ginger giggles as soon as he sees Ben entering the room with the wheelchair.
"Your transport is ready for you Mr Mazzello." Ben says with a smirk.
Joe rolls his eyes with a smile before he sits down in the wheelchair. 
Ben gathers all their stuff, and after making sure they have everything, the two leave the room.
Ben pushes the wheelchair towards the exit.
There they see Rami waiting in his car. "So, ready to go home?" Rami asks with a big smile when the two sits down in the backseat.
Joe chuckles and nods. "More than ready."
Both boys fasten their seat belts, and immediately scoot closer to each other.
Joe puts his head on Ben's chest. He rolls his eyes when he sees a big smirk on Rami's face in the rearview mirror. He intertwines his fingers with Ben's before closing his eyes.
The smirk on Rami's face disappears when he sees the look in Ben's eyes.
The blond is running his hand through Joe's hair while looking at the boy with a sad expression on his face.
Rami sighs softly. He can't stand that Ben is still blaming himself for all this. Judging by the sad look Ben is still thinking about breaking up with Joe.
The rest of the car journey it's awfully quiet in the car.
