chapter five

The quidditch match between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor was set to start in five minutes. Harry knew because as he peered through the curtains over the tunnel where Gryffindor would exit from, he saw Madam Hooch moving the trunk of balls to the middle of the pitch.

The five minutes seemed to fly by because before Harry knew it, the sharp noise of Madam Hooch's whistle alerted the two teams that it was game time.

Harry released a breath of air he didn't realize he was holding, before heading out onto the quidditch pitch with the rest of the Gryffindor team behind him. Harry tried not to focus on the seven players walking towards him, all decked out in their blue uniforms with broomsticks clutched in their hands.

The two teams met in the middle of the pitch, waiting for Madam Hooch's signal to start the match. Harry noticed Cho and Willow within the Ravenclaw team as the quaffle was released into the air. Then the bludgers, and both Harry and Cho watched as the golden snitch fluttered away.

"Now I want a nice, clean game! From all of you!" Madam Hooch declared before blowing her whistle again. Fourteen players were quick to fly into the air as the match began. One that wouldn't be as clean as everyone hoped, thanks to the annoying tactics of Gryffindor's captain.
