Chapter 25: Yoongi's Screams Intensify

        (Un-edited)

Doing your part in the hospital had been emotionally draining.

The first day of the new week consisted of you talking to Jonah who sat on the chair in the hospital. The boy was asleep, couldn't hear you or see you. You stood in front of him, your body laying on the hospital bed behind you as you face your greatest friend and spoke to him.

You had cried while speaking about his love, his respect for you, his care and genuine friendship that you didn't take seriously with all your heart. You apologized to him for not telling him how much you loved him on a daily.

You apologized to Jonah for not accepting the love he gave to you when you were alive.

The second day of the new week consisted you staring at your Mother that sat by the side of your bed. She would always hold your hand, read your stories, or just talk about her day and for the second day you did nothing but stare at her, smile to yourself and cry.

On the third day of the week, you finally talked to her. Alone and knowing exactly when she was to be here, you scheduled out your day to do what you had to do. You felt lighter after expressing your feelings to Jonah, both this third day, you expected to feel even better after showing appreciation for your Mother.

You apologized for the fights, the neglecting, the fact that you rarely sat next to her and talked when she asked you questions about your day. Too cool of a moody young adult you were, you refrained from letting your Mother in. You apologized to her for not telling him how much you loved her on a daily.

You apologized to your Mother for not accepting the love she gave to you when you were alive.

The fourth day was the hardest. You avoided going back. You didn't want to see her.

Jimin's smile was soft, his eyes hurting for you as he rubbed the side of your arms on the fifth day. The day was brighter for him and he smiled more as days went by. That only made you feel as if everything was okay, you smiled more in result. "You have to face her. You have to face how you hurt her because that in the end pulls you back and hurts you as well."

So, you went on the fifth day of the new week to face Iniko. You knew when she was in the room alone and scheduled yourself to stand in front of her blinking eyes that tiredly and worryingly still stared at the side of your lifeless face on the bed. You searched her eyes. Her beautiful eyes. She was pure when she cried and all you did was stare for a long while.

It took you long to bring out your words and as you did, the tears were back. This was hard. It was hard the first two times and it was hard now as well. You emotionally challenged yourself and spoke from the bottom of your heart.

You apologized. You apologized for breaking Iniko's heart. But then, you smiled and thanked her for being your first love. You thanked her for caring for you, for even being here by your bedside after all that you had done. You put her on a pedestal while bringing her down to be human because she was, she was human, and she hurt and felt just like you. That was something you had forgotten when you were alive. You apologized to her for not telling her how much you loved her on a daily.

You apologized to Iniko, your ex-girlfriend, for not accepting the love she gave to you when you were alive.

Sixth day of the new week was lighter. Even after everything, you were glowing and were brighter with your smiles. In Jimin's arms in the morning, you asked him about him and the boys and laughed at him sighed dramatically and explain them all talking again and trying to recover from the awkwardness. During your laughter, he asked with a smile, "I'm guessing you're all done this week?"

You tried not to smile. "Not yet, I've got one more person."

Jimin was confused. He watched you think to yourself, the last person on your list you had to face.

"Who exactly is that?"

The seventh day. The last day of the new week. You managed to find the slot of time where there was no one but one single body in the hospital room. Staring down at that one body, you looked at your body that looked to be in peaceful sleep surrounded by machines and tech. You stared at the last person longingly, the last person was yourself.

This was the hardest of all, the cherry on top of the shit-show.
You cried the hardest this time. But, you also smiled the largest while speaking down to your vessel.

You apologized to yourself. You apologized to yourself for the doubt, the negativity, the constant pull back and second guessing...

You apologized to yourself for forcing the dreading feeling that came with telling people around you your love for them.

You apologized to yourself for not accepting the love that was possible to be given. You could've loved yourself when alive, but you blocked all that need for self-love and appreciation with a shield of insecurity. You apologized to yourself.

The week was complete. Your duties and role for a brighter awakening was complete.

Coming back from the hospital, your smile was huge as you practically hoped into the dorm after phasing. It was quiet so that gave you time to dance and giggle at nothing. You felt good. You felt bright. You felt positive. Now, you were finally the other side to the holding cell equation that was essential when having to go back.

You qualified to go back.

Phasing fast through the hall with laughter, you moved into Jimin's room and expected to see and hear no one. Confused when hearing the sprinkle of water in the bathroom, your confusion grew into amusement when realizing Jimin was taking a shower and he was home alone.

Skipping over towards the door with your hands linked behind your back, you were perky and excited to surprise him so early as you phased through the door and moved to see the fog from the hot water in the room wash out from past the solid curtain.

Thinking to be cute and humourous, you shifted towards the end of the curtain. You moved the curtain aside slowly and entered the shower similarly to how you did the first time having met Jimin. Getting in with closed eyes, you giggled and whacked your hand over to the ass presented before you. Eyes fluttering to see the ass that jumped over with a jolt, your brows furrowed at how it didn't look familiar. It was a much paler ass and everything soon after clicked when the person turned around and screamed loud.

You recognised that scream. It was your biases scream. The one you had accidentally slapped was Min Yoongi. Your face paled just as much as his and you watched in horror as the man with shampoo in his hair ran out the shower fast, slipping and sliding as he held a towel to wrap around him.

You stayed in the shower, seeing the water still running in horror.

Yoongi's scream was muffled but you could still hear it running around the dorm outside.

"Oh no," you said with a whine.

-

"'Oh no' is right," Namjoon sighed, eyes squinting over at the front door where Yoongi stood fully clothed, jacket and hat on with a giant suitcase trailing his tail. "Hyung, she thought it was Jimin, what else do you expect since we know they've been getting closer to one another. You should've have been in his room to begin with."

Yoongi snapped his head back. "He has the best temperature of water in his room and I thought was alone! Don't downplay this, not this, I was genuinely harassed this time!" Yoongi struggled in having his suitcase stop as he stood by the front of the opened door.

He was leaving to stay at the manager's home until, quote Yoongi, "the monster was done with."

"Hyung, please stop and just stay," Jimin sighed out, arms crossed over his chest. At first, he felt bad and apologized on the behalf of you, but at this point, he was just judgement as he stood by the other boys and rolled his eyes with them while watching the member leave.

Yoongi pointed a finger at him. "No," Yoongi said with a clench of a jaw, "Don't you dare sweet talk me into staying in the devil's house. I will not be apart of any of this. I will be going to stay with our manager until you fix this and get her back to where she deserves to be. She needs to be alive and human! Not running around trying to find your ass to slap as a ghost!"

Jimin shut his eyes in defeat when Yoongi dramatically moved to slam the door behind him. Instead, it all ended with a long leave as Yoongi struggled with getting his suitcase out with one tug. A pathetic mission it was, the members didn't help as they just watched Yoongi prance out.

"See you tomorrow~" Hoseok sang out before the door could fully shut.

The boys looked away from the door. Some were talking under their breaths, some were grunting as they went to be seated, others were still standing and glaring over at Jimin. The boy sighed, reading into their expressions well. He nodded, "I know I know, I'm on it."

"What's taking so long?" Jungkook asked, munching on chips as he sat on the single-seater. "I thought you mentioned on knowing exactly what to do at this point, shouldn't you be excited and hurrying in to save the day?"

Jimin tensed at that. He told them a bit, but he hadn't told them everything and he didn't plan on it. "I'll have it happen soon, I'm just waiting for the right moment."

Taehyung sighed, stealing chips from Jungkook as he shook his head and called Jimin out on everything, "No you aren't. You know exactly what to do but are stalling."

Jimin swallowed, arms still crossed as he looked over at the remaining member's that seemed to be eyeing him with similar expressions. "What do you mean by stalling?"

Taehyung shrugged, "I don't know the issues that are going on with you two, but there is clearly something that is holding you back from just doing what you need to do."

Jimin watched from the corner of his eye as you moved to stand by the end of the hallway. He didn't look at you as he focused forward and kept the conversation going.

"It's not that I'm holding back or stalling, I'm just scared."

Your eyes softened from where you stood and everyone else softened as well.

Jungkook was the only one that was clueless as he obnoxiously ate his chip. "I don't see what the big deal here is, do you want me to do it? Recite the plan and I'll have everything complete right now."

Jimin sighed, not wanting to talk to this out with the members especially since you overheard every word.

"It's not like that," Taehyung said to Jungkook, reading into Jimin's persona and attitude, "He's scared because he's afraid to lose her."

By the looks of all the members, they seemed to read Jimin well as they weren't shocked by that. Jimin swallowed hard, suddenly soft and a little in awe over all of them carrying similar caring exteriors. It was as if they knew so much about him and he didn't know it, he tried not to panic but none of it worked as Jin's voice spoke.

"You love her..." It wasn't a question.

Jimin's jarred mouth closed slow at that.

You stared at Jimin's side. You knew he knew you were present and you wanted to move and give him privacy to answer such a question, but you couldn't find yourself to move. You stood there, leaned against the wall with your vision soft.

Jimin's arms fell from his chest slowly as everyone waited. He could feel your ears hearing in from here but there was barely any curiousity in your gaze towards him. Its as if you knew what the answer was...

And surprisingly, for the first time in a while, Jimin was sure of his answer as well. He knew the same time you did. He nodded, he nodded and accepted the statement that was thrown his way with the weight of the word 'love' dangling off with inner pain and revolt. But Jimin embraced it with open arms and nodded.

"Y-Yes," he said with a whisper, "It's hard, and I'm stalling because I love Y/N."

You smiled. You weren't surprised.
