In previous chapter, we saw that all of a sudden Vedant started talking normally and when the police team were about to leave, he suddenly stopped Abhimanyu and said he want to file a complaint against Ritesh.

This scene from the cafe continues in this chapter.

Also, in this chapter there is a scene of Viraj and Aniket after their conversation with Dhruv in Chapter 4.5.

" Umm... I want to file a complaint against sub Inspector Ritesh... ",

(•) Vedant said this to Abhimanyu. And once again his words left everyone by surprise.

(•) After hearing those words both Ritesh and Sumit were caught completely shocked while Suruchi was having a desperate look towards Vedant as if she was pleading something to him. And once again, Abhimanyu, even if he couldn't grasp what was Vedant's motive behind all this, he wasn't showing any signs on his face.

***Suruchi- Complaint against Ritesh... Ahh, I see, now that he mentioned I remember police asked someone to follow him, that's why they took his address from us... So that's where he was taking the conversation from the start but... why the hell he did so many extras... and this isn't the time to do this... Ved call this off for now, please...

***Abhimanyu- Huhh... Complaint... against Ritesh... Damn it , complaint for what ... I couldn't think of anything wrong Ritesh did right now and I don't believe ritesh have done any crime in past... so for what... Ritesh did took his gun out before but it isn't something for which you can complain against a police officer... Ahh , lets get going with this...

" Wha... What are you talking about ...!? " , - Ritesh said in loud voice.

***Abhimanyu- Ritesh , control yourself... You are pulling the trigger on yourself...

" Okay, Vedant. Tell me what do you want to report, I am listening " , - Abhimanyu said gently.

" But Sir ... " , - Ritesh.

" Hold on Ritesh, this isn't the way we treat someone who comes to us to file a complaint... " , - Abhimanyu

***Ritesh- Abhimanyu sir ... Does he too think I did something... !?

" Umm ... Actually... " , - Vedant said but Abhimanyu interrupted him.

" Before you start, lets have a seat first. I don't want to involve public in this... I hope you understand... ". ,- Abhimanyu

" Yeah sure. So ... What I am trying to say is .... " ,

(•) Vedant started speaking about the complain he was filing against Ritesh .

[ Location: At A Crossing Of A Busy Road , Mumbai ] [ Same Day ]

(•) Viraj and Aniket were standing on a roadside waiting for a cab. They were quarreling with each other.

" Ohh God !! where is the cab ... !? " , - Aniket

" Ahh, It's coming. Just wait a little more, the driver said he is almost here... " , - Viraj

" I told you to buy atleast a bike, we can buy a bike anytime... " , - Aniket

" You still saying something like that ... You know I don't use Anti-Gens money for anything except necessary living and the same goes for you, am I wrong ... !? " , - Viraj

" Okay okay, I agree on that. But we are getting late, all because of you. Why did you started saying everything to Dhruv ... " , - Aniket

" Oye, Hold on ... I didn't said anything... " , - Viraj

" Oh no, you almost said everything... Viraj... We still don't know whom to trust in Anti-Gens. I know Dhruv is a trust worthy guy, but still... He should be kept far away from all this for as long as possible... " , - Aniket

" Yup, I know ... Now calm down, you don't need to yell at me. " , - Viraj

" How could I calm down... What if they already leave before we reach there... I will really kill you for making us late, if I miss the action... VIRAJ " , - Aniket

" Okay... By the way, did you send the letter I asked you !?... " , - Viraj

" Oh ... yeah I asked a random guy to deliver it to his address... But don't you think it'll make things worse for Vedant... ?? " , - Aniket

" Umm ... No, it'll be alright... " , - Viraj

" Hmm, hope so. " , - Aniket

" Ahh... Here comes the cab... ". ,- Viraj

" Oye... Get in fast. We can't afford to waste another minute... " , - Aniket

" Yeah Yeah ... Umm, bro you know the destination address... ?? ... Please take us there fast... " , - Viraj asked the cab driver.

" Yeah, sure... " , - Replied the cab driver.

(•) Viraj and Aniket sat in the cab and left for somewhere.

[ Location: D2N Cafe ]

(•) ACP Abhimanyu was questioning Vedant on the basis of what he said in the complain against SI Ritesh.

" Hmm... So you are saying someone was following you when you were coming here... Right !? " , - Abhimanyu asked Vedant after he explained his point.

" Yupp... " , Vedant Replied to Abhimanyu.

" And according to you, that man was sent by Ritesh ?!... How do you know this...?!" , - Abhimanyu again asked Vedant

" Yeah, well... I saw him and then I directly went and asked him, he himself told me that he was sent by Sub Inspector Ritesh... " , - Replied Vedant.

***Ritesh- What ...!? Shiv himself told him...??

" Okay... so tell me this ... If you found and directly confronted him, how did he managed to escape from someone like you ... Cuz by looking at your physic I don't think you are an easy guy to tackle in physical combat... " , - Abhimanyu cross questioned Vedant.

" Well, I might look like a strong guy, but frankly speaking... I am the weakest in my group, even Suruchi can beat me easily... but what happened there was that guy took a gun out and pointed it towards me, I was afraid and then he left. So I decided to file a complaint against Sub Inspector Ritesh for this misbehaviour... " , - Vedant said.

(•) After listening this from Vedant , Abhimanyu had a silly smile on his face.

" Haha ... You were afraid from gun point ?! ... You Hypocrite bastard... " , - Abhimanyu spoke softly.

" What the fuck are you talking about... Nothing like this happened... You are just making things up ... " , - Ritesh again shouted on Vedant.

" Huhh ... You see Abhimanyu sir, this really means that he was behind all this... " , - Vedant said to Abhimanyu.

***Ritesh- What is happening here, he is lying... What should I do ... What is Abhimanyu sir thinking...

***Abhimanyu- Ritesh... He is just bluffing, why are you getting caught by him... get a hold of yourself... You are making things worse for me and you ...

(•) ACP Abhimanyu and SI Ritesh are completely stuck in a helpless situation. How will they win or evade this conversation against Vedant !?

DISCUSSION DESK

(1)- There is a lot to discuss in this chapter. The first thing is about the complaint. Yeah , police sending their undercover spies to keep an eye on suspect is usual and we can say that it's nothing which defies the law but in other words keeping an eye on someone means to take their privacy and this does sounds like defying the law. But here in the cafe , I think that Vedant isn't interested in filing complaint for his privacy concerns but he is trying to put police on backfoot that is , he is trying to manipulate the police's way of investigation. And this statement is proven by the way Ritesh has been reacting to all this , He is a good officer and should have been able to think that all this was a bluff but he couldn't. That's because vedant successfully deviated his way of thinking but I still can't think of a reason why is he doing this because in the end after all this , police is definitely not going to take their eyes off him.

(2)- when Aniket said about the bike , viraj replied that "I don't use Anti-Gens money except for necessary living and the same goes for you" , I guess this is something to be noticed and questioned , " why !? ". They are the leader of Anti-Gens and he says they don't use Anti-Gens funds for extravagant living !? Sometimes, I just get a feel that these people aren't happy with the way they are right now but to this extent, this means that they might have a lot of reasons for this.

(3)- Other thing Viraj said is " The letter " , and on that Aniket replied " it'll make things worse for Vedant " , What could be in the letter and to whom ?!... and why a letter , it's 2033 , so a letter is just as odd as was the bouquet on the table.

(4)- When Vedant said that " I was afraid of gun " , That really was a hilarious dilogue, Just a few moments ago when Ritesh took him on gunpoint and was about to shoot , he didn't even flinched , as if he didn't actually cared about the gun and yet he said he was afraid of gun... I actually ended up laughing out loud and probably the same happened with Abhimanyu, the Hypocrite word actually suits Vedant on that particular line of him being afraid of Gunpoint.
