It's another day to break my ass off to get something to feed myself.

"But Lifen, I could leave everything for you, all these richest. you're my world." and the male lead grabs my hands. I want to puke.

This scene is where I'm being forced to leave him despite my character loving Zhang because technically he's engaged and rich, and Lifen is not that girl.

I bit the insides of my cheeks and stared at his hands before pushing them away.

I smiled at him bitterly, "But you're not mine in the first place Zhang. I'm sorry but we should stop this. For everyone. For the better." and I walked away to the kitchen.

And there I started crying, even though the staffs were staring at me, "I-I'm okay. Get back to work everyone!"

"Lifen!" Shuxin, one of my best friends in this film too, came in and ran to hug me.

There, I bursted to tears again.

The camera zoomed into us as Shuxin comforted me.

"And cut! That's all for today's shoot everyone! you all did great jobs, you did great Keran! Shuxin!" Yuxin shouted which caught me by surprise.

"Thank you, Director Liu." I replied and bowed before thanking the whole crew and the other artists.

After so, Yu Yan went to fetch me and accompany me to my tent.

But I didn't know that someone was following us.

"You did great Keran." Shuxin said in a mocking tone. I turned to her and raised my brows.

"What? Oh please, she's obviously hitting on you!" I rolled my eyes at her.

"She is not!" I replied and sat on my chair, "Also, she said your name too. How can you conclude with that?" I said while staring at Shuxin through the mirror.

"Hello? My scene was like what? A freaking minute? Five minutes for all of the scenes we took today?" she stated but I'm so not backing down.

"How about Xue'er? If she was here—"

"But she's not! She has other things to do that's why we filmed the scenes without her right?" she replied.

"And why didn't she mention the male lead then?"

"Well, obviously because she's gay?" I answered her. That's too obvious not to notice. Besides, the day I saw her in the condo, she was definitely with a girl.

Shuxin crossed her arms over her chest and rolled her eyes at me, "Yes, and she obviously likes you."

Now it was my time to roll my eyes at her, "Whatever. Just go back to your tent!"

Shuxin stayed and pushed the idea for a few minutes more before she completely left.

Finally, some silence.

And I think it's the exhaustion again but I fell into slumber until Yu Yan woke me up.

I needed to adjust my sight before I followed her out of the tent as she read my schedule for tomorrow.

"We'll be picking you up at 7AM tomorrow for a shoot at 9AM. It'll last for maybe two to three hours. Then we'll move for another magazine shoot at 2PM" she stopped as we reached the front of the van.

"Then here again for your filmin— Oh, Director Liu." Yu Yan said which made me turn and yeah, there she is again.

I'm already so tired and I really got to be bugged by her?

What sin did I do in my past life to deserve this?

"Hey, Yu Yan." she greeted and smiled at her before turning to me. But unlike Yu Yan, I welcomed her with my bitch face.

What? I'm tired!

"You seem tired." she pointed out and chuckled. You bet I am.

"Obviously." I replied.

"Then, I wouldn't take much of your time." she said and started ruffling one of her bags.

"Here," she handed me a food container, "We didn't have enough time to eat today so here." and she smiled a little.

"Plus, I owe you this for pissing you off last time. Sorry." she continued.

I rolled my eyes at her before taking the container, "You know you could have stopped at your first statement right? I'd be happier." I said, "But thanks."

I looked away the moment Yuxin's smile grew a little wider.

Why do I feel embarrassed?

"Well, then umm see you tomorrow and take care!" she said before turning away.

I opened the food container and it's a sandwich with plenty of filling, and I mean a lot like lettuce, some cheese, meat and tomatoes.

"By the way Keran," I looked up and Yuxin was walking backwards while shouting. What the hell?

"About the food deal?" ugh, again?

I rolled my eyes at her, "Deal." I shouted back and I don't know if it's shocking that I agreed or she's just careless but she almost tripped.

Dummy.

"Thank you, Keran! See you at breakfast I guess!" she shouted and gave a big goodbye wave before running back to help packing with the crew, I think.

I just looked at her back running away as I held unto the container she gave me, not minding the midnight breeze.

"You're smiling."

"Wh-What?" I looked at Yu Yan beside me but instead she pointed at my face.

"You. Are. Smiling." I was confused for a second and yes, I realized that I was.

I asked myself, why but I didn't have any answer rather than my hands tightening around the food container I was holding. 

"I'm not. It's just your illusion." I replied and cleared my throat before looking away.

"Keran you literally stand a meter away from me."

"So?"

"So, I can clearly see how right Shuxin is."

I scoffed, "What?"

Yu Yan shook her head but I can clearly see her trapezoid smile, "That Director Liu likes you and I think you l—"

"NO!" I lifted a finger in front of her face to stop her, "No, Yu Yan. No." I said and went inside the van.

I heard her chuckling behind me, "But you didn't even let me finish!"

"Because I don't want to!" and replied, "And this conversation is over! I'm sleeping!" I stated and tightly shut my eyes while facing the window.

I can still hear Yu Yan murmuring stuff but I just ignored her and pretended to be sleeping.

What was she even about to say?

I—I like her?

Oh, please. I think I'll be sick.

Yuxin and me?

No way.

Definitely no.

But the sandwich.
