"hi" camila said her voice coming out soft and vulnerable, just like shawn scared about, 

"hi my love" his voice came out deep and hoarse, blood rushed to her cheeks at the endearment, she put her face in her palm trying to hide her blushing cheeks. 

"are you sleepy?" she asked him due to the deep rasp in his voice, he nodded. 

"i could not sleep without checking up on you, i know you are hurt" he said and she hid his face, knowing what he was talking about. she shook her head trying to convince him she was okay, but he knew her better than anyone else, he knew she was hurt from the articles and the comments being left by people on how she 𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚍 on matthew. but the truth was that they simply didn't know what occurred.

"it's okay, you can talk to me about anything. i love you" he said in a deep soothing voice, he didn't shy away from telling her he loved her, any moment he got. she didn't say it back, but her admitting that she had some kind of feelings for him was enough. he was going to give her time. 

"it just hurts you know? everyone is assuming i'm some kind of slut, who went behind my boyfriend's back and cheated on him and wasn't afraid to display it to the world. everyone has been calling me the one at fault, and ma-him the victim. i kept my relationship with him private, hidden from the public eye. we broke up and i didn't see a need in telling the world that we are over because it is my life, not their's to assume and decide for. he was my boyfriend and i ended it with him because he cheated on me, he wasn't the world's boyfriend that i had to inform them. i hate people who cheat, and i've talked about that before in public, i've talked about how i had been cheated on before, but still they like to assume the worst of me. i know that when i took a step into this industry things like this were going to take place, but they just have no right to hold false rumours against me like they are the holy ones" she rambled, letting shawn see her vulnerable self. a few sobs escaped her lips as she spoke, tears sliding down her cheek; no matter how hard she tried to hold them in.

she knew shawn wouldn't judge her, after all he loved her. but a part of her was embarrassed for breaking down in front of her crush on facetime, but then again; it was shawn. the shawn she had known for years. the shawn who she shared let herself be vulnerable in front of, the shawn who was there when she cried into his arms after her departure from the group. the same shawn she shared her insecurities with. 

he knew her

he loved her.

"camila firstly breathe" he directed

and she inhaled, then exhaled trying to calm herself down.

"honey i get how you feel. don't let those stupid rumours bring you down. you aren't the one at fault here. they don't know you, like i know you. they don't know what goes on in your life. they have no right to assume things about your life. but they will, they will post lies on the internet, but you can't let that affect you. you are correct, you don't have to inform them about the end of a relationship they never truly knew about. i really wish i could hold you in my arms right now, i'm sorry for not being there love, just please don't let the rumours impact you, who gives a fuck about what they say, they have no idea about what that asshole did, they don't know i've waited years for you, and then when i finally get you they have no right to accuse you of cheating on him with me, it's your life, live it like you want. and just remember i love you, and many people out there do to" he said, the anger visible in his eyes, but his voice was soothing and comforting to camila.

"thank you" she mumbled, blood rushing up to her cheeks at his words, "um, can i actually come visit you? it's okay if you don't want me to or something, but i just really would like to see you" she muttered shyly, 

he smiled, "i would love that, i can book you a flight to grand rapids, in michigan. i have a show there in three days, i'm flying tomorrow. do you want me to book a flight for tomorrow, los angeles to michigan?" he said, a smile visible on his face.

her lips formed into a smile, "i would love to, but you don't have to book the flight"
