"I'll go first!"  Memory volunteered.  Everyone looked shocked, "You all are family so why is everyone scared that they're going to get something bad?" She asked.

"Alright, who is giving Memory the dare?" Emily asked.

"That would be me!" Vera said with a smirk.  She stood up and walked towards the child, "Memory, sweetie I dare you to give Jose a makeover!  I know he's always been wanting one."  Vera said with a sing-song voice.

"Wait!  That should not be allowed!"  Jose protested.

"Why?" Emily asked.

"Because Vera's just using this as an excuse to make fun of me!"

"Are you afraid of a child?"  Vera asked.

"Why would I be?" Jose asked,

"Then you should have no problem with this dare."  Emily said.  Memory led Jose to her room while Jose was stomping through the corridors and muttering curse words.

"No cussing in front of a child!"  Emily yelled down the hallway.

"I'm 99% sure he won't abide by that rule!"  Vera said.

"Anyways, who gets to give Ms. Nair a dare?"  Emily asked.

"Her number one bestie of course!"  Martha exclaimed

"Very well, what is her dare?"  Emily asked.

"I dare Vera to... go outside and dance to summon the rain.  I don't know honestly."  Martha stated.

"Easy!"  Vera exclaimed, she pulled Martha along with her and the duo went outside,

"They're actually doing it together!" Eli exclaimed.  He had sent his owl out to see what they were doing.  

Jose marched in, wearing a pink dress, pig tails and a whole lot of make up which was surprisingly well done for a child.  "Where the hell is Vera?  I need to kick someone right now!"  Jose yelled.

"Vera and Martha are busy dancing outside, they'll be back later."  Helena reasoned.  Jose slammed open the front doors and stepped outside.  Martha and Vera had finished their dance a long time ago and were now chatting.

Jose cleared his throat, causing the two girls to stare at him and laugh,  "Man!  Memory did an amazing job!"  Vera yelled.  

"Why you little-"  He stopped as Memory walked outside, 

"Emily said to go back inside."  She said, holding the door for the trio to hustle inside.

"I'm going to undo this foolish makeover!"  Jose muttered, going back to his room.

"D-does he not like it?"  Memory asked, about to cry.

"I'm sure he does, but he's just too prideful to admit it."  Martha said in a hurry.

"B-but I worked hard on that outfit."  Memory said, sniffling.

'Emily's going to kill us.'  Vera thought.

"Please don't cry!  You've encountered really scary monsters already and you've been so brave during every match!"  Martha exclaimed.  Praying to God that Memory would not start crying on the spot,

"But it hurts my feelings when I work hard on something and someone destroys it!"  Memory yelled, tears were now forming in her eyes.

"I actually loved your makeover so how about, tomorrow, you can give me a makeover."  Martha proposed.  That cheered Memory up a little bit,

"Really?"  She asked,

Martha nodded, "I'll even throw in a piggy-back ride now and later, I'll get you some ice cream... somehow."  Memory started squealing and Vera had to cover her ears.  Martha waited for Memory to climb onto her back before running through the hallways.

(Meanwhile with the rest of the group)

"What's taking them so long?"  Emma asked.  Eli sent his owl and saw that Memory was about to cry,

"Mr. Baden went up to his room and the girls are weaving flower crowns."  He lied.

"Can you go get them?"  Emily asked.  Eli nodded and quickly snatched up a lollipop before running off.  He almost collided into Martha,

"Agh, everyone's been looking for you!"  Eli yelled.  Martha was busy spinning around and trying to keep the ride exciting for Memory,

"Well it was either take a while or death, which option would you prefer?" 

"Martha!  Can we go faster?"  Memory asked.  Martha rolled her eyes,

"Of course."  She then pushed Eli aside and then charged into the main room.

(With the rest of the group)

Naib was nervously pacing back and forth.  He knew that Martha was perfectly capable of finding her way back so he was obviously afraid that Memory got lost... right?

All of a sudden, Martha came charging into the room and started spinning around.

"Ms. Behamfil, put Memory down.  You're going to hurt the child."  Emily exclaimed.  Martha set down Memory,

"But I wanted her to go fast and spin around!  It was quite fun."  Memory explained,

"Alright, just don't do it again!"  Emily said to Martha, she turned around to face the group, "So who has to give Ms. Behamfil her dare?"  She asked.

Aesop raised his hand, "I dare Martha to become a decoder for a whole entire match!" 

"Wait... But we have no match notifications and the bus left, how do I complete my dare?" Martha asked.  Emily held up her tablet,

"I have a little handy device that can call the bus no matter what."

"Ugh... Who else is going?" Martha asked.  Eli pushed Naib forward,

"Naib wants to go!"  He shouted.  Naib glared at him,

"I do not!"  He yelled.

"Perfect, so we have Ms. Behamfil, Mr. Subedar.  We just need two more people."

"I'll go as well!" Vera volunteered.  Kevin also stepped forward and put his hand on Vera's shoulder

"I'll go to keep this fine young lady safe."  He said.  Vera slapped his hand off and ran behind Martha.

"Get ready all of you, the bus will come in an hour."  Emily said.

"Before they go, can I give Naib his dare pleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaseeeeee?"  Memory asked, looking at Emily with puppy eyes,

"Go right ahead! Just make it quick."  Emily exclaimed.  Memory turned to Naib,

"Naaaaaaaiiiiiiiiib, can you kiss Marthaaaaa?"  She asked,

"Memory!  I'll give you a lollipop as well as two scoops of ice cream if you change that dare right now."  Naib bargained,

"Awwwwwwwwwwww, but I thought you were a couple..."  Memory huffed.  Eli burst out laughing,

"See!  Even a child ships you two together!"  He yelled.  Naib grumbled and quickly pecked Martha,

"There, I've done it.  Let's get ready now!"  He yelled, covering his face and running to his room.

Aesop bent down and patted Memory on her head, "Why was Naib covering his face when he left the room?"  Memory asked.

"He's probably hiding something he doesn't want everyone to see."  Aesop explained,

"Like what?"  Memory asked.

"Most likely a red face!  You picked an amazing dare by the way."  Aesop said.  Memory jumped up and down,

"So are Naib and Martha a couple?"  She asked,

"Oh, not yet.  But before long, they'll soon come to terms with their feelings and eventually, confess."  Aesop explained.  The foursome going into the match came marching back in the hallway.

"Hey!  Where do you think you're taking that gun?"  Emily asked Martha,

"To the match?"

"Did you actually forget about the dare already?"  

"Of course not!"

"Well then give me that!"  Emily yelled. She grabbed a pile of clothes which she somehow keeps around and grabbed a weird globe from the shelf.  "You are now, for this match The Astronomer.  Once every minute you can use your globes to speed up your decoding progress by 30% for 25 seconds.  The other globe counts as an ability locker for the hunter (around 5 seconds) and this can be used once per match.  Your final ability is that you can use your last globe to speed up the decoding of the gate by 5 seconds.  You now have a 40% vaulting debuf and because you despise people, decode 20% slower with someone else.  Lastly, you get healed 10% slower because you can't trust people. "

"that's so stupid!"  Martha yelled.

"It's time to learn to depend on your teammates once in a while."

"Wait, what is this?  Martha asked, holding up the clothes.  The only garment that was actually there was a large robe.

"Your new costume!"

"No wonder I can vault slower."  Martha muttered, 

"What was that?"  Emily asked,

"Nothing!"

"Now get outside, you're going to miss the bus."  

"Yes, mother."  Vera and Martha responded, somehow in unison. They headed out the door, laughing.

After 30 minutes, the bus parked outside Lakeside village, "Are you ready?"  Vera asked.  Martha nodded.  The barrier separating the survivors has shattered and the survivors ran in different directions.  The game has begun.
