Chapter 31

NO ONE'S POV

That night Hayley couldn't sleep, so she went to the kitchen to make some tea, as she walked down the stairs she bump into a figure. "What are you doing here?" She said.

"I could ask you the same thing Little Wolf,". Klaus said. "I asked you first, therefore you need to answer first," She said still pissed of at him for what he said to Rebekah at dinner.

"You mad at me Little Wolf?" He asked while tilting his head to the side waiting for her answer. She looked at him a little shocked. "What do you expect. Do you have any idea how much you hurt your sister? You can't keep on hurting people because you don't want to talk to them, and then storming off without an explanation. Your sister is furious with you, and so am I." She finished needing to air out all that was bothering her when it came to his behaviour.

"I'll speak to Bekah in the morning and apologise. Will that make you happy?" He asked her looking her straight in the eyes.

Hayley scoffed at his words, "what would make me happy is if you talked to your family, and had a conversation with them instead of blowing up. I know you don't want to talk about what happened, but one day you will have to. And until then just explain that you don't want to. There is no reason for you to blow up at them. They're just worried about you. You talked to me, why can't you talk to them." She finished while back at him.

"I don't need anyone's pity, "He told her, starting to get angry at her. "You think that we're gonna pity you. We care about you, you idiot. Do you have any idea how much worried I was before you told me what happened?" She told him, and quickly continued before he interrupted her. "Can you imagine what they must be feeling? Look just be honest with them. That's all I'm saying," She told him while going to turn around and head back to her room, the tea she was going to make long forgotten.

"Wait," He told her before she could even take a take back. "I'll apologise to Rebekah and I will try to do my best to speak to them," He finished.

For Hayley, knowing that he was going to try was all that mattered. She didn't know what came over her, but at that moment it felt right and so she just went for it. She quickly walked back in front of him, no more words needed to be said, and she easily slipped her arms around him. Giving him the hug she knew he needed, but knew that he would never ask. Klaus had a moment of hesitation before slowly wrapping his arms around her, as she slowly laid her head on his chest and just breathed his scent in, as it calmed her worrying thoughts down.

And so that night for the second time in a row two hybrids laid in each other arms quietly holding each other, without speaking no more. Little did they know that there was an watching them as they embraced each other.
