Gaster cheerfully picked up his kids, "morning you two! "

Papyrus mumbled a morning back while sans cheerfully said back morn!

Gaster nuzzled the two, he's had a lot of practice to be able to act so cheerfully and get it down fully along with other emotions he can act out now.

He's pretty sure he had a breakdown last night while his kids were sleeping though, but he's not completely sure about it.

Gaster cheerfully hummed as he walks downstairs with his kids in his arms, his acting lessons with himself since he got here really paid off, no ones been able to tell he's been acting the entire time!

He's got the tone, the smile, the cheerfulness down, he's pretty much got all of it down and is able to fully act like a parent that doesn't have problems with identifying what he feels or if he even feels anything and not being apathetic or indifferent.

It took him forever to get this far, he's had plenty of time though, skeletons take forever to age up enough to be able to talk let alone be able to remember more memories.

His kids are still at an age that they will eventually forget this too, even if he messes up he's still got years before they will remember things without forgetting anything like one does when they are young enough.

But he's pretty sure he's mostly perfected his acting skills down to a t, at least he's pretty certain about it anyways.

And even if he's not, he's still got some years to practice it anyways, who knew skeletons age so slowly compared to other monsters? Sure monsters age very slowly compared to humans, but skeletons and boss monsters age way more slowly and are practically immortal unless killed.

And he's not even growing! Not even an inch, he hasn't even felt himself age at all, which is good, he's got a lot of time with his kids now to.

He's pretty sure he's gotten used to acting even when thinking as well, at least mostly anyways.

Gaster carefully set his kids down in their high chairs, they look like they were four years old despite how many years went by, sure they aged a little fast when they were around one but now their growth slowed down before they hit four officially.

He guessed it was to help them be able to talk and walk more by themselves.

Papyrus let out a small yawn rubbing his eye sockets a bit as he woke up more, blinking a few times as Gaster set down two plates in front of papyrus and sans so they can start eating.

Which they did, Gaster himself got himself a plate to start eating, he can't afford to skip any meals, his kids will start noticing if he does and he doesn't want them to copy him, it's a bad habit to form, he's at least trying to get himself into a habit to eat three times a day, he mostly remembers to do so though due to feeding his kids three times a day.

So that's good, Gaster started to hum happily, he's gotten pretty good at this acting shit, that's a relief, he wouldn't know what to do if he hadn't been able to get this far.

Well so far so good, "how was your sleep?" Gaster asked sounding very cheerful.

"G..good pa..." sans mumbled while chewing on his breakfast.

"It w..was fine ma..." papyrus on the other hand, had a little trouble with his was, which was perfectly fine, all children have trouble with talking sometimes.

Gaster was pretty sure he was still trying to wake up fully too.

Gaster let out a hum as he finished eating pretty fast, even though it felt like he took too long to eat, it was probably only ten minutes when he finished it.

His kids on the other hand, took another 20 or so minutes to be fully done.

Gaster let out a happy hum before cleaning their faces with a soft cloth before picking the two up and setting them down to let them wander around as he started cleaning the dishes up and any messes they might have made accidentally.

Gaster kept one eye light on them though as he cleaned, "careful you two, no running in the house."

Both sans and papyrus slowed a bit, but went back to speed walking around as sans chased after his brother in a game of tag.

Gaster let a small smile form on his face, it's been a whole lot easier to smile now then it used to be, but it still felt straining a little bit every now and then.

It's fine, it's to be expected after all, either way he's felt like he's become a very good actor, though he's going to let his mask down when he puts them down to sleep later tonight, he needs to drop it every now and then, he knows it's an act but it can be easy to forget when you act and pretend for so long.

It's why he drops it a few times in a year, he would drop it more if he was confident that he wouldn't accidentally wake his kids.

Gaster started humming a little bit as he finished with cleaning the dishes and setting them up, he turned around and walks over to his kids who were still speed walking.

Gaster sneaked over and swiftly picked the two up before tickling them, making sure to always take pictures and videos every single day, not wanting to miss one thing.

He smiled at the sounds of his kids laughing from both the surprise and because they were getting tickled.

He only stopped when they started to squeal or shriek a little bit.

He picked them up again and started cuddling them, "I love you kids."

"Love you to pa/ma" both sans and papyrus replied at the same time.

Gaster smiled and nuzzled them a little bit, eyes closing briefly, smile almost fading before going back up.

Gaster hummed a little bit, eyes opening again, papyrus usually calls him ma, while sans calls him pa.

It's expected, since they can randomly use the other one sometimes since Gaster himself didn't care on about what gender he is.

Sure he's been calling himself a he, but that was because it was easy to do so, more so in his mind.

Gaster turned the tv on to let his kids watch some tv as he carefully set them down on the couch he had made.

It took him a good long while to make the couch, but it was now very comfortable and soft to the touch, soft enough for him to touch without recoiling back from it and shaking his hand as if to rid it of the very uncomfortable touch.

All of his clothes are very soft to touch, even his kids clothes are soft to the touch, everything he can change to make softer in his house, was very much changed so he can touch it without recoiling away from it.

It's not his fault, he's got.. Well it's a sensitivity to touch and even eating, some foods he's been able to handle more in this life then his last life that's for sure though.

But touch, no that stayed the same with him, things have to be soft for his hands to touch, if they are then he can wear them, if they aren't and are like pants, he tends to recoil a little bit and shake his hand that had touched it.

Heck too soft makes him do the same thing, there is such a thing as too soft for him to handle.

It's why he has to feel for things and see if it's soft enough for him to handle before he grabs it or uses it or buys it depending where he is at.

It took him quite a long while to get everything down in his house to be soft enough.

Which is fine by him though, he can touch pretty much everything In his home, though sometimes he feels the need to recoil away from his own kids due to not liking being touched without permission but he refuses to do so to his own kids.

Anyone else is fair game though, so he will just sometimes tense up when his kids hug him but they don't seem to notice due to how young they are, which is good, because he will hug them back after relaxing a little bit.

Gaster kept an eye lights trained on his kids who were preoccupied with the tv while his hands were twitching a little bit, he needs to move around.

Gaster moved so he was out of sight to just walk around and relax a little bit.

Which Gaster ended up doing until he went to go check up on his kids and walks over before sitting next to them, one leg moving back and forth without thinking about it as he watched the tv with them.

There wasn't much on of course, due to it being in the underground, but that was fine with him, though he would have preferred cartoons and anime to watch but it's fine. He can just blank out during the boring parts of whatever shows up on the tv.

Gaster laid his head back and eyes closed a bit, just listening to his kids and the tv for a while, almost falling asleep soon after but refrained from doing so, seems like he might go to bed early... after he takes his mask down of course...

Gasters eyes open back up and glanced to his kids who were playing with their hands and his own, a small smile appearing on his face with a little bit of a tired look.

Well, his new life is..Interesting and definitely worth it, he's got kids out of it even though he never had any before until this life, but he wouldn't change it for the world, even if he still doesn't know what love even feels like, he knows he cares about his kids...

Gaster shifted and pulled his two kids into a cuddle and let his eye sockets close a bit as he just relaxed.

Also I'm not doing the age thing, I'm not counting how long it takes for them to age or nothing, I'm horrible with that and I always mess up so you all can assume how long it takes for them to age a year in monsters years, and you all can guess due to how long it took Gaster to be able to get this far when acting even in his own thoughts.
