Tanner's POV

"Uuuughhh" I whined as I walked down the hallways of high school with Julia. "What are you complaining about now Tanner?" She says, obvious annoyance in her voice. "I just wish something interesting would happen in our town, like a robbery, jail break, murder for gods sake!" I whine as I let my head fall down as we walk into our Math class. "Why would you want that!?" She said with wide eyes, "I need to right a report for English class about something interesting going on in our town because I've been failing that class.......but there's NOTHING interesting about this place!"
Julia rolled her bright green eyes as she moved her long black hair that fell into her face. "I'm sure you can find something worth writing about Tanner" she days as she sat down at her desk. I sigh as I sit at my desk and wait for Mr.Lockwood to begin his boring math lesson.

The day soon ended and I walked out of the school doors to wait for Julia. I soon saw the crazy ponytail swishing back and forth as she ran towards my direction.
"How was the rest of your day?" She asked me with a smile. I avoid eye contact and sigh, "Annoying as usual, how about you?" I reply. "Nathan came over to my desk after class and gave me this rose!" She squealed in delight.
I laughed under my breathe as we walked over to the area where bikes are parked. Julia unlocked her bike and looked at me with a questionable face. "Where's your bike?", "my parents took it away since I was failing school". She laughs at me before she said bye and pedaled down the road. I waved at her until I couldn't see her anymore. I began to walk down the public side walk and took glances at people that walked by me. "God this town is so boring" I mumble under my breathe, I stopped at the bridge at looked out across the mountains at the setting sky.
"I don't even have that many friends that would know of anything interesting" I say as I put my head in my hands as I gaze off.
That's when I notice something.......at the bottom of our tallest mountain. I thought that is was a dead animal at first, so I didn't really care. (I wonder how that thing got killed) I began to turn away, when I take a glance back and my eyes focus on something white. I put my hands onto the railing of the bridge and lean closer, squinting my eyes to focus on the white.
That's when I realize that the white thing was a shirt, and I could see limbs and a head full of hair.
"That's a person!!!" I exclaim, I look around frantically, unsure of what to do. That's when I notice a stairway to the bottom of the mountain because it used to be a watering hole.
I run over to the staircase and almost trip down the whole thing as I went down them as quick as I could. I make it to the ground and sprint over to the body. They were face first into the ground, they had a backpack and I could see that they had shorts on in November. By the way their body was positioned, I guessed they had fallen from the mountain. (But that can't be......none of his limbs are broken!!Just...) I grabbed their arm and there were too many cuts and bruises for me to count.
I flip them over and the front was worse, they were covered in blood, cuts, and bruises. "What happened to you?...." I said to myself, I don't know why I looked around as I did this, but I put my head on their chest.
That's when I heard the faint sound of their heart beating. "Their still alive!!" I exclaim with excitement, but unsure why I did. (I have to get them to my house, who knows how much longer they have until they really die) I thought as I moved their white to black hair from their face. I grab their arms and throw them over my shoulder, they were light like a feather so it wasn't too hard to get up the stairs.
Thankfully, the sky was dark already so there was barely any people walking down the side walk now. I began to walk towards my house when I take one last look at the mountain and the emotionless body on my back.

"Who exactly are you?....and where did you come from..."
