|Don't leave me...|

Chester woke first, not because of another nightmare, but because he felt Parker moving around restlessly.

'Parker? Are you ok?' Chester said softly, gently moving a stray piece of hair away from his best friends face. Parker mumbled something unintelligible and turned around to grab Chester and hug him tightly.

'PARKER! Oh my god!'
That little shout made the sleeping Parker wake with a jolt.

'Chester! Are you ok?!'

'Yes Parker, you just grabbed me.'

'Oh, sorry.'

'Don't worry, you were asleep.'

Parker let out a yawn and slowly sat up, checking the time on his phone.

'God, it's already 10:27.'

'Damn, well, better get the day going.'

They both stood up and stretched, Chester going to the bathroom to brush his teeth and Parker finding some clothes to change into.

They swapped and when they were ready they went downstairs to get breakfast.

'Oh! You didn't eat all the food then!' Parker said with a chuckle.

'You thought I was actually going to?!' Chester said in a semi-angry tone, even though Parker knew it was a joke.

'Well, I'm quite surprised.'

'PARKER I WILL SLAP YOU SO HARD-'

Their doorbell rang, stopping Chester mid-sentence.
'I'll get it,' Parker said, already at the door, 'Probably that package I ordered.'

'What package?'

'A new camera. We need a new one since the other one got broken by the monsters.' Parker explained, but when he opened the door, he wasn't greeted with a package.

'Parker, who is it?' Chester asked, confused. Parker didn't respond. He just stood. His skin was now pale and sickly.

'Parker?'

'One second.' Parker stepped outside and slammed the door behind him.

Chester didn't really know what to do. Who was at the door? What did they want? Why did Parker react so weirdly to them?

Oh well. Might as well make the both of them breakfast.

Half an hour later, Parker still wasn't back and Chester had eaten already.

'What the hell is he doing? I'm starting to get worried.'

With that, he got up and went outside. Parker was no where to be seen. 'Parker?' Chester called, 'Parker? Where are you?'

Once again, no response.

Chester decided this was some kind of sick prank. 'Parker, this isn't funny!'

He then hear a familiar voice.

'Why are you here?! How did you find us?! You're SICK.' He heard his best friend say.

'I miss you though! We can start over! Don't leave me!' A female voice desperately replied. Chester assumed it was Parker's crazy ex. He had never heard her voice (or even met her) before.

'NO! My life has improved so much since you left it. I hate you. We will never be a thing again. I will never forgive you.'

Yep. 100% his crazy ex, Maya.

'Please babe! I love you! Get that weird blond boy out of your life instead! He's gross, and ugly. I'm way better!'

It was then Parker snapped. He slapped her hard across the face.

'Don't you DARE talk about Chester like that. You're the gross and ugly one. Now get out of here before I slap you so hard I dislocate your jaw.'

Jeez, he never thought Parker would be so protective over him.

Maya ran away crying, clutching her cheek with a- Wait. What the HELL was that in her hand?

A- a knife? No... Did she threaten Parker? She couldn't have.

It was then he emerged from behind the wall and stared at Chester with his dark brown eyes.

'Let's go.' He said, in an almost scary tone 'let her cry. I couldn't care less.'

'Okay...'

They walked back to the house, and Chester thought back to what she said,

'I miss you though! We can start over! Don't leave me!'

'Don't leave me...' he repeated out loud.

'What?'

'Oh! Nothing!' He quickly answered, not wanting to seem even more weird.

'Chester?' Parker randomly said.

'Yeah?'

'How did you find me?'

Chester didn't really expect him to ask that.

'Oh! I just got worried and then heard your voice. I'm guessing that girl was Maya?'

'Yeah.' Parker said, his voice now unusually tense.

'What's the deal with her?' Chester asked.

'Crazy ex. Tried to kill me. Threatened to kill you. That's when I walked out on her.' Parker quickly replied, still with that oddly tense voice.

'Oh...'

'Yeah.'

When they got back, Parker ate the food Chester made and sat on the couch next to him. They made a silent agreement to not talk about what happened earlier. Parker obviously didn't like it, so they wouldn't speak of it.

'Hey Chester?'

'Yeah?'

'Do you like anyone?' Parker knew this was a stupid question, and now he said it he regretted it.

'Uh- I- N-no?' Chester was caught off guard by the question and struggled to find an answer.

'Oh. Ok.'

'Do you like anyone?'

'Uhh... N-not particularly, no.'

'Ok.' That answer made Chester feel like crying. He still didn't know why. 'What do you want to do now?'

'Movie?' Parker suggested

'Sure, but I'M choosing the movie.'

'Ugh. Fineeee.' He replied in a mock-angry tone, a lot better than that tense one he had earlier.
