. Chapter 7 .

The first person to say anything since the two were practically kicked out of the house was Gabriel.

But that wasn't until about 30 kilometres out from Bobby's and the silence that filled the air (well, besides Cherry Pie playing on the radio in the background) was beginning to eat the Archangel from the inside out.

He cleared his throat before glancing at Sam.

"I-uh..."

Sam frowned, but still didn't say anything, keeping his eyes on the road and awkwardly running a hand through his hair.

"I...figured out what you meant."

Gabriel said, giving Sam a firmer stare, making Sam glance at him unintentionally.

"Yeah?" He said softly.

Gabriel nodded and swallowed slowly. "You asked me what happened, right?" His words were slow and cautious. "So. Remember when Luci stabbed me in the back, literally, and that was last you saw of me?"

Sam nodded faintly at the memory.

"Well, Dad-God-he kinda brought me back. But... I don't know...something in me changed, something had opened a new door, and I became a little unsocial and a little less of the tricks. I just...what's the word for it? Became more human."

Sam's eyes widened, but he allowed Gabriel to go on.

"Not human human, but...I now begin to have feelings. I mean, I did before, but now they're stronger."

Sam spotted an old barn on the right of the road, parking and getting out, the cool air hitting him as a blast to the face.

He finally looked at Gabriel, right into his whiskey coloured eyes, as he came around to lean on the bonnet of the car, Gabriel next to him.

"What kind of feelings?" Sam said gently, pulling a strand of Gabriel's blonde hair out of his eyes, tucking it behind his ear.

Gabriel couldn't help but lean into his touch, closing his eyes.

Sam could feel light, cool spots of snow falling, but he ignored it.

"You know, I've had different feelings too." Sam whispered, cupping the angel's cheek.

His touch tingled down Gabriel's spine, causing butterflies to start up up in his stomach.

"Have you, Sammy?" Gabriel whispered, opening his eyes to look at him, a new spark flashing in them.

"Yes." Sam said, glancing nervously at his lips, wondering what they would taste like.

"Huh." Gabriel mumbled, before crashing his lips into Sam's.

Sam's hands went the smaller man's hair, and Gabriel's tense body softened, sinking into the embrace.

His lips taste like...lollies and strawberries. Sam thought, and before he could deepen the kiss, Gabriel pulled away, a smirk on his lips.

Sam pouted, but Gabriel just chuckled.

"No hunter in sight, huh?" He said, melting in Sam's gaze.

Sam cleared his throat, stuttering out, "Uh, uh, no...wait a minute! That means Bobby tricked us!"

Gabriel rolled his eyes. "Well duh. The Trickster got tricked."

Sam smiled.

"Shall we head back then?" Sam asked, ruffling Gabriel's hair up lovingly.

The angel grinned, yelling, "Shotgun!"

Cas stood, patting the packed snow down, Dean on his tiptoes as he straightened the snowman's rocky smile.

Bee, the teddy that Dean had bought Cas only a number of days ago, was clutched in his other hand.

Cas's hand brushed over Dean's and they both looked up at each other, but quickly looking away.

A small snowflake gracefully fell onto Dean's nose, and he gasped, his green eyes going cross eyed, trying to look at it before it melted.

He huffed, and the two little boys looked up at the clouded sky.

More fell, and Dean giggled.

"C'mon, Was!"

He cried, taking Cas' hand and he lead him over to a flat spot.

"Wet's make snow angels!" He said, laying down in the snow.

Cas cocked his head, his blue eyes bluer then ever before.

"A snow...angel?"

Dean nodded, grabbing his hand and pulling him next to him.

"You put your arms and wegs out, and then back in awain. Then you keep doin' it." Dean explained, showing Cas in doing so.

Cas' face was that of concentration, and Dean watched in awe, sitting up.

"You're very pretty."

Cas froze, looking up at Dean. Dean's cheeks flashed red.

Cas blinked, sitting up. "Uh, you, uh, are too."

Dean looked from the snow in front of him before looking into the angel's sea blue eyes.

"Ya wanna know why the sky is so gwey, Was?"

Cas nodded, glancing up at the sky before looking back at Dean.

"Why, Dean?"

"'Cause the bwue is all in your eyes." Dean mumbled, and Cas was quiet.

"Where did you get that from?" Was all he could say.

"Gabriel." Dean murmured.

It was silence before the youngsters blurted simultaneously, "I like you."

They both turned as red as cherries, not looking at the other.

Then Dean reached forward and kissed Cas on the cheek.

Cas went to put a hand up to his face in shock, when suddenly a bright light filled their vision.

They both blinked the spots from their eyes before looking at one another, both red from embarrassment.

At least our clothes change to size, Dean thought.

Cas sat before him, embarrassed, looking at the suddenly very interesting new teddy that sat next to him, but that just made his blush deepen.

Dean put a finger under his chin, forcing Cas to look at his hunter.

"Cas-"

Dean was stopped by lips catching his, and he froze, before eventually kissing back.

He wrapped his arms around his Angel, who sunk into Dean at the movement.

When they finally pulled apart, green and blue boring into each other, Dean cupped Cas' face with a gentle hand.

Then Cas sneezed.
