Chapter Ten

I woke up slowly, light from outside beaming into my eyes. I groaned in annoyance and looked at my phone. 6:45am. Great. I shifted slowly, hugging and spooning my pillow on my side. I felt something nudge me so I squinted my eyes to see a familiar brunette stare at me.

"No one else is awake, do you want to go outside?" He asked and I shook my head.

"It's probably freezing." I whispered back and stretched my legs under the duvet.

"This house is cold. Want to go in the hot tub again then? I heard Randy rented it so they've probably got to give it back today."

"Who the hell rents hot tubs?"

"Weird people who get drunk way too often. Come on." I got myself up and stumbled downstairs. It was a mess. Alcohol bottles knocked over, shot glasses smashed, Kenny lying on the ground only in his pants with piss stains, ripped wallpaper and my mother sleeping peacefully on an armchair at the other side of the room.

I sighed and walked over to her to cover her in a blanket that was on the sofa. I smiled. She couldn't have been happier yesterday, or now even. It's nice to know that so many people care about you.

I joined Cartman in the hot tub, getting into my boxers. He pressed a couple buttons to make it warmer and for light bubbles to fizz around us. I was sitting across from him, sitting in the deeper part to warm my shoulders too. He seemed fine, though, and was on his phone doing something.

"Are you going home soon? I've got to drop Stan and Butters off at the airport in a couple hours." I said and he dragged me by my arm to sit next to him. He showed me my phone and it was talking about how a KFC near us was closing.

"I mean, da fuck?!" He exclaimed and I rolled my eyes. "And no, I've got no where to be so I'll just tag along with you and the others."

"You'll be pretty squished then, I'm dropping Kenny off too. My mothers staying another night."

"I'll sit in the front with you then. That way the three skinniest bitches are in the back. How far is it again?"

"About 40 minutes." He pondered for a second.

"Yeah, sure. I'll go."

"And I was wondering, why did you shout at Kenny yesterday? When I kissed him, I mean."

"Because..because I kinda find it weird that you can kiss without feelings and I hate seeing him kiss everyone he can." I could tell he was lying a bit, but I ignored it.

"Kenny and I are just like that. I know, we need to stop, but being single and having a chance to kiss someone and feel loved is just the way I swing. I know he's kissed a lot of people, but he's better; honest. He's going on a date with a girl soon, he's really excited! And if they get together, I'll stop this all. She's a nice girl, and will surely change him for the better."

"If you say so. What will you do instead then? Kiss you're pillow?" I laughed at his sarcasm.

"No, I'll just get on with life. Who knows, I might get with someone too! Get a job will be a first though, I'm looking at working in a café, what do you think?"

"Sounds good. I'm receiving a few million from my grandma because she passed away and left everything to me. So, with that, l'll look at higher education and a house so I can finally get away from my slutty mother. She'll still give me money if I ask for it, though."

"That's good..I guess. I'm happy that you've got big plans for the next few months or so then. And that you want to get better education is a big change for you."

"I know, but I'm looking for a good big paying job. Not to be a hooker like my mother."

"No, no, never do that! You deserve a good wife, good jobs, nice house and kids."

"Oh, um, I'm not exactly.."

"Oh morning booby!" I heard my mother yawn out, gazing at me. I smiled back and let her go to the bathroom. She then stopped at the doorway, looking at me weirdly. "Did you injure you're eyebrow last night? You've got a slit." She commented then returned to her task.

"I- what?!" I yelped, running upstairs to look in the bathroom. It was true, I had a slit in my left eyebrow. Did I do that when I was drunk? I don't even remember that. "God what the hell did I- Cartman did you do this?!" I walked back down and he shook his head.

"No. You ran upstairs last night after dancing with me and I saw you asleep with that. You must have done it yourself after you brung a bottle of whiskey with you." He answered.

"I- no I didn't! I vividly remember going upstairs and going straight to sleep."

"Nope, I was more sober than you trust me. I was just slightly high."

"Ugh I'm so stupid!" I joined him again, sitting so only my eyes were above the water. He laughed down at me and dragged me lightly by my hair upwards.

"It looks sick dude! You should keep it like that, you look like a casual gay guy."

"I..do? I've always been against slits but..it suits me?"

"Yeah, go knock a couple guys up as you're so happy."

"Shush." I felt where the skin was removed then scooted next to the bigger person. "So, um..I also never let you finish you're sentence last night, after dancing."

"You uh..remember that?"

"Well of course I do! I've just been curious."

"I was just going to tell you that you're a better dancer than you say you are." Yet another lie. Oh well, I didn't want to ruin my good day.

"Well, thanks. You're a good dancer too." He grew a light shade of red and smiled down at me.

"Thank you, Jew."

I saw Stan slowly walk downstairs, holding his head. "You hung over?" I asked.

"Yeah, but of course I still need that lift if you're up for it." He answered.

"Yeah, sure. I'm driving Kenny and Cartman up too."

"They're not joining us on the flight, are they?" His eyes grew wide, horrified. I laughed in response and shook my head.

"Of course not! Have you got you're things packed at least?"

"Yeah they're in you're car. I used the spare car key you gave me."

"You gave him a spare car key?!" Cartman questioned with a surprised tone. "That's quite stupid."

"It's because he's my best friend and I trust him a lot. I bet you'd end up eating it." I mocked and Cartman gave me a little tantrum.

After a couple hours, everyone was awake and I said goodbye to my mother, starting the drive to the airport. It started off quite quiet but ended up with a small argument between Cartman and Stan. We stopped for a second so Butters and Kenny could go to the bathroom.

As they left, the voices got louder so I stormed out and slammed the door behind me. How bloody childish of them! I can't go one second without them two starting an endless argument about something stupid.

I sat on the fence of the small restaurant and Kenny came out with a drooling mouth and wide eyes. "Kyle! Kyle! They've got waffles and ice cream! They've got waffles and ice cream!" He panted like a dog.

"And..what about it?"

"Could we get one? I'm starving." I rolled my eyes and hit the car door, pointing to the building. They got out, both red and pissed, and I locked the door. Kenny stuck close to me, holding my hand in his pocket.

We got a seat in the corner by the window, Stan and Butters next to eachother, and me between Cartman and Kenny; Kenny next to Stan of course. We ordered waffles with ice cream and for the first time in a while had a casual conversation.

A boy approached the table and looked down at me. He was in the same uniform as the workers here, probably just checking up on our table. "H-hey!" He said, looking into my green eyes.

"Hi! Is there something we forgot to pay for?" I asked, trying to sound nice.

"N-no no! I was just wondering if I could um..get you're name?" He asked nervously. I smiled widely, this was the first time someone has confronted me like this.

"Of course! I'm Kyle! You?"

"David." He said with an accent and Cartman rolled his eyes.

"David." He said in a normal tone. He got a glare from both of us but he continued.

"I um..just thought you looked really cute from the counter and my co-workers convinced me to talk to you and ask you for you're um..number." I was taken aback. How could anyone want 'my' number?

"Oh uh..of course!" I wrote it down on his waiter notebook and he grew so red he looked like a tomato. "You've got a nice name and accent..and face." I complimented shyly, daring myself to wink.

"Same goes for you, hottie." He winked back, looked me up and down, then left to another table; stuffing the paper in his pocket.

"Ooooh! Look at you!" Kenny taunted and I grew redder than before.

"Shut up Ken!" I scolded and held his hand to reassure him that I was only flirting for fun. "Anyway, why do I need some..hot guy in my life when I have my friends? You guys are my boyfriends." It took a while, but everyone soon laughed lightly.

"Yeah, and you've picked Cartman to be you're bride!" Why did everyone have to keep bringing that up?! I told him to shut up quickly before getting up with everyone and exiting the restaurant. What an eventful lunch.

When we finally got to the airport, I hugged my two best friends goodbye then turned my back. I dropped Kenny off straight after at his new girlfriends house, as he confirmed this morning, and I parked my car in my driveway with Cartman by my side.

"Could I come in?" He asked and I nodded.  We entered and I stated that I was going to have a quick shower. I could hear him mess with the music for a few minutes, then the tv then into the kitchen.

My mind was stuck on that cute boy, David, who I gave my number to. He was so polite, well built, had a good buzz, clean, everything! But I couldn't jump to conclusions, I had only just met him. Besides, he would have probably rung me by now.

I dried off then got dressed in a white t-shirt and blue jeans with white socks. I peered into the kitchen to see Cartman cook up some bacon and eggs. "Waffles and ice cream not enough for ya?" I asked and he shook his head, focused on the sizzling food.

"Nope! Want some bacon with me?"

"I can't. I'm Jewish."

"Oh yeah..uh..eggs?"

"Sure." I sat at the table and watched how he mastered the cooker. He served up eggs and some peach squash and sat beside me with a mouth watering plate of bacon, eggs and Coca Cola. I was tempted to try the pork, but I held back and ate my food in peace.

Once done in silence, he returned to clean up and I joined him, drying the dishes. "Are you going to go out with that guy at the restaurant?" He asked suddenly and I smiled to myself.

"Probably not. He's hot, well presented and mannered, but if he works up there then he's got to live at least an hour away. I couldn't possibly go out with someone so far away. I'm always in need of hugs and attention, haha." I laughed up at him, but he gave me a slightly shocked look. "You okay?"

"Hugs?"

"Yeah, um, I don't get hugs so I'd crave them in a relationship."

"I could kinda tell from you hugging you're pillow this morning." I grew warm, but he didn't seem to care. "Are you okay?"

"Aha, I don't even know anymore."

Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't...cry?

I felt arms wrap around my skinny body, head buried into my back and the warm breath from the familiar brunette push onto me. I looked down at his hands. I held them in return and leaned back into his body.

"What did you do to deserve this all?" He asked.
