Mallory's pov:
I begin to get ready for lunch with Matt. The amount of outfit changes I'm gonna have today is insane. I don't really care what I wear around matt, he's my bsf and I know he doesn't care either. I slide into my blue crop sweat set, with my blue lined adidas and topped it off with a claw clip and my dior handbag. Cute and simple.

I think I'm gonna post all of todays fits on Instagram.

My phone begins to ring, it's a call from Matt,

Matt; hey I'm on my way! Are you ready?

: mhm

Matt: alright I'm gonna stop and get some gas then I'll be there in 10.

:alrighty, bye

I sit on the couch and scroll through my phone while I wait for Matt to pick me up. As I get onto snap I see milo is typing.

Milo: hey so change of plans, turns out I didn't actually buy the movie tickets and I just added them to my cart soooo I'm gonna take you to this really nice restaurant instead!

: oh okay! Perfect :)

Milo: same time and everything and I can still have you back by 9:30.

: okay can't wait :))

I see Matt's car pull into the driveway and I grab my purse and make my way outside. Matt steps out of the car and walks over to the passenger side door and opens it for me. "Thank yooou" I say while taking a seat. Matt walks back around and sits into the drivers seat. "I'm loving the fit." He says eyeing me. "Really!? I wasn't sure what to wear." I say while fixing hair hair in the car mirror. "Yea, blue is your color." I close the mirror and smile.

"So where are we going?" I say while plugging my phone into aux. "I'm not really sure but there's this new place called Zoeys kitchen, it's like this organic, free range, fresh food place, it sounds like something you would like. But it's up to you!" "Oh yum! I'm down for that." He knows me so well.

I scroll through my phone to find a good song. I decide to play "Lovers Rock- by tv girl" perfect. Me and Matt bob our heads back and fourth to the music. "Who is this?" Matt says still vibeing to the song "Wdym..? It's tv girl??" "Who..?" "Matt are you being Fr? I say giving him a side eye. Matt still looks at me with a confused look. "Mmmm lemme put, you, ON!" I say getting ready to play many songs by tv girl. "Oh god, here we go." he says sarcastically.

For the rest of the ride I play songs like "Not allowed", "cigarettes out the window", "Birds don't sing", "my girlfriend", and "pantyhose". Matt seemed to really dig it. No surprise, my music taste is superior 😉

We pull into a cute little boho, Botanical looking restaurant. Matt jumped out and opened my door for me. I smile and he holds out his arm for me to grab. We walk inside and wait in line to order. I always loved when Matt takes me on little dates like this. I mean not really a date of course because he's my best friend, but I've always joked he's treated me better then any man every could... and I mean that. Matt gets onto his phone and I notice a piece of hair out of place. I gently raise my hand and pull back the piece behind his ear, he brings his eyes to meet mine and his face turns a million shades of red. "uh... you.. um. Yea. Go and uh.. *he clears his throat* order" "you... good?" I say almost laughing. "Me? Oh yea! Yea I'm great..." "okaaaay..."

I order a steak salad with hummus and peta bread and Matt orders peta pizza. We make our way to the register and pay. The man at the cash register waited for one of us to hand him our card, Matt is digging around in his pockets. "Here matt I got it." I say opening up my purse. "NO, no! I know I have it." "Matt really, it's fine!" I reach into my purse and Matt grabs my hand. "No, see, Found it." Matt hands his credit card to the man behind the register and the man laughs. Me and Matt give each other a very confused look.

Suddenly the man begins to speak. "Wow, I remember what it's like to be young and in love, oh how I miss those days! Don't grow up, before you know it your a middle aged man working at zoeys" Matt's face turns a bright red. "Oh no we're not uh, in um" this is painful to watch, "thank you. We're very happy!" I say while grabbing our food and walking away, I had to get outta there.

Me and Matt make our way to the outside seating and sit down. We make small talk for awhile until our food comes. "Sooo what are you doing tonight?" He asks putting hummus into his mouth. I probably shouldn't tell him about the date with milo... what if he tells Chris, but what if I tell him I'm going to a party with Chris and he gets mad... ugh!

"Oh Um idk yet, a friend invited me to dinner and another invited me to a party! Hbu?" "Oh wow busy lady, nothin much tho me and Nick are just gonna go to the movies." "Oh fun fun, what are you gonna see??" "I think Batman!" "Omg I heard it's so good!" "Yea me to!" He gets one of those excited smiles on his face, aww. We both giggle.

"I miss you mall! We've been so busy lately..." he says looking down at his plate. Shoot me now I'd rather do anything then hurt this boy. "I knowww! You know I'll always make time for you though matty" I say with a smile. He smiles to.

Not long after me and Matt finish our food and sit and chat for a while. As Matt is talking I feel a small water droplet hit my face, and then another, and another and before I know it we're getting covered in rain. Me and Matt both begin to laugh and quickly get up and make our way to the car.

I walk over to the passenger seat and pull on the door handle. It's locked. "Matt hurry!" Matt rummages through his pockets trying to find the keys. "I can't find the keys!" "Shit" at this point we're both soaked and cold. I start to shiver as the cold rain rolls down my back. "GOT EM!" Matt quickly unlocks the door and we both get in.

There was a pause of silence, I look over to Matt and we burst into laughter. "Hold on I think I have some towels or a blanket in the back." Matt leans back and looks through the back seat, he finds one towel and one blanket and brings them into the front seat. I grab the blanket and wrap myself up. Matt lays the towel in his lap and puts the car into drive. "Just our luck huh?" He says.

I play music and we just chill, Matt begins telling me about some lacrosse summer training thing, he sounded excited so I acted excited too!

We pull back up to my house, it's about 4, perfect time to start getting ready! "Thank you for lunch, i had fun!" "Yea ofc!" Matt gives me that sweet smile of his. I open my door to get out "Hang tomorrow?" He asks. "Obviously" I shut my door and walk inside.

Perfect. 1 down 2 to go!
