Chapter Thirty-Three

Stephan's Point of View

I walked towards her pushing through the crowd and then sat myself down beside her as she twisted in her seat to face me while swinging her straight hair over her shoulder. She bobbed her head to the music while staring at me with her beady little eyes.

"What do you want to drink?" I asked as she leaned towards me, reached out her arm and allowed her index finger to swipe smoothly across my lower lips.

"Don't touch me Gracie." I said seriously with attitude as I snatched her wrist and pulled her hand away from my face and then she chuckled. "What do you want to drink?" I asked again hoping that this time she wouldn't do anything stupid.

"An apple martini would be grand." She said licking her lips. Gracie was really hot and if I had never met Blueberry, I would have probably would have fucked her tonight but things were different now because I had met Blueberry and I'm completely in love with her.

"Hey what can I get you guys." A perky male bartender showed up wanting to take our order.

"Umm...an apple martini and nothing for me." I said and then he replied before walking off. "Coming up."

"So why are you here, what you want?" I said turning my head to see her twirling her hair as she narrowed her eyes.

"How rude." She giggled while shoving my shoulder lightly. "Not even "How have you been or what you doing with your life Gracie?"" She smiled.

"I'm doing good by the way Rossy." she said holding up her hand exposing her ring finger, and on there was a huge diamond stuck to a sliver band. I hadn't noticed it earlier but now that she had made it obvious it had stuck out like a sore thumb.

"You engaged?" I narrowed my eyes and then the bartender placed the martini in front of her as I thanked him and handed him a hundred dollar bill. "Keep the change man." I said and then he thanked me.

"Yeah, I'm engaged."

"You're nineteen and you're engaged?"

"I don't see a problem with that. I'm planing to marry Paul next summer, he's a French golfer you know." She bragged. "and I'm moving to France with him next week." She squealed.

"Out of all of the amazing sports, a golfer? wow he must be exciting." I laughed sarcastically under my breath while she rolled her eyes. "So you came to say your final goodbye, I suppose?"

"Something like that." She smiled taking a sip of her drink. "It was never my intention to run into you tonight. I was actually going to stop by your place tomorrow." She flipped her bangs from her eyes.

"Why do you care? why not just moved to France without saying goodbye to me." I paused. "Don't tell me you still love me and was hoping to jump on top of my dick one last time before marrying your boy." I laughed while cocking my head back as a cheeky smirk lit up my face. "Cause that's not a fuck going to happen." My face serious.

"Rossy!" She chuckled. "Don't flatter yourself. We're not in high school anymore and plus I'm not as pathetic as Lana to still be in love with you, I've moved on to better things."

"I'm glad you have." I half smiled.

"Speaking about high school, word on the street is that you're in love with a high school girl, don't tell me it's true."

"It's one hundred and ten percent true. I'm in love with her." I nodded as I watched her face turn sour and then she tried to hide it by shaking her head and brushing it off.

"Anyway Rossy, it was great chatting. I'll be stoping by your place tomorrow." She smiled as she hooked her finger around my chain and pulled me closer to her face but then I shoved myself back with a confused look in my eyes as she began to smile at me rejecting her. She let go of my chain and tried lifting herself from her seat and then I pushed her down gently before she could leave. I could tell she was hiding something and I wanted to know what it was.

"Where you going, we're not done talking yet."

"Still so dominant. It was always a quality I liked about you." She said staying seated.

I brushed off her words completely ignoring them and then said. "You've already said goodbye to me now. So why feel the need to stop by tomorrow?"

"Well...I have something that belongs to you and I want to return it." She grinned and then I narrowed my eyes not saying a word as I waited for her to continue and then I finally remembered what she had taken from me a few years ago.

"The hoodie? You wana give me back the hoodie? Grace keep the hoodie, I don't want it." I said and then she bit her lip nervously.

"Please, I already tossed that shit in the trash along time ago. It's not the hoodie." She rolled her eyes.

"Look whatever the fuck it is you can keep it, goodbye Grace we're done talking." I said lifting myself up onto my feet and then she latched her fingers around my bicep causing me to turn and face her.

"She has brown hair, my gorgeous grey eyes, your pink lips and she'll be turning two in two months...on the 19th." She said to me before I had escaped her clutch.

My heart began to explode in my chest feeling as if it was about to collapse any second, my eyes darted over to hers, searching it to find a trace of dishonestly but there was none. My body had struggled to move as if I was paralyzed and I had suddenly forgotten how to breathe. I could feel my face reddening with every second that passed as the veins in my neck grew thicker while she sat there smiling as if this was funny.

"Where the fuck is my kid!?" I yelled as I gripped my hand around her wrist tightly, lifting her from her stool and forcing her feet onto the ground as I guided her across the dance floor. I had to get out of this club because if I had had this conversation with Gracie inside of it, it would definitely cause a scene.

"Rossy, let me go!" I heard her yelling from behind me but I Ignored it. I wanted to get out of this club as soon as possible so I could handle this situation. The crowd had gone crazy on the dance floor as the dj began to play at his utmost best while I dragged her and myself away from it all. I walked past the VIP section and quickly glanced over. Orin's eyes then spotted me as he noticed me pulling Gracie out of the club while the anger revealed itself in my eyes, his eyes followed me until he could no longer see me. He watched me rush out as Lana had spoken to him but he completely ignored her as he had taken interest in what I was doing.

We had finally reached outside and then I let go of her wrist while the cold air hit against my skin like a boxer had beaten a boxing bag. It was freezing.

"That hurt!" She said holding her wrist. "Women abuse is not okay."

"Don't fucking play that shit with me! What the fuck is happening!?" I screamed. "I swear to God! Gracie if you're lying about my daughter being alive-"

"I'm not lying! She's alive!" She yelled in return. "I'll bring her to you tomorrow. Now can I please leave!" She rolled her eyes seeming annoyed with me.

"No are you fucking crazy! How can you take this so lightly, you fucking lied to me for years...for who knows what fucking reason!" I yelled louder as my veins thickened revealing it's ice blue color as the adrenaline started to pump "Are you fucked in the head!? How could you do this and pretend that it's not as big as it really is!? This is fucking huge, my daughter is alive!"

"Can you stop yelling at me!" She screamed.

"No! You fucking kept my daughter from me. She's my daughter Grace, I'm her father! How the fuck could you do that! " I said punching the wall that she had stood up against. I felt no pain from the adrenaline that rushed through me as my knuckles began to bleed from the impact.

"Explain!" I screamed as saliva flew from my mouth while my face was as red as a tomato.

"I'll explain tomorrow, calm down." She said and tried ignoring it all by strolling away.

"Don't you fucking dare." I said pulling her back. "Explain now!" I yelled holding onto her so she was unable to leave.

"Okay." She sighed. "I lied to you about the miscarriage. I was immature and you didn't love me so I decided to take revenge and hurt you the best way I could, by telling you that I lost our baby." She said as tears sat in her eyes but I could tell that it was just for show, she was a good actress and knew how to sell a story but I saw through her and she couldn't fool me anymore. "It just got out of control from that point. I didn't know what to do so I just continued to stick with my lie." She continued.

"You lied about my daughter to hurt me!? Gracie I was a good boyfriend, I took care of you, I bought us a house, I never cheated on you, I didn't run and say that Bree wasn't my kid when you told me that you were fucking pregnant. Everything you fucking wanted? I made it happen! Sure I wasn't in love, I couldn't help for that but you took this shit way too far! Why the fuck now? Why come back and tell me about Bree now!?"

"Because Paul wants to start a new life with me in France, a life that doesn't include Brie-ell because she's not good for his image he said. I haven't seen my parents since I fell pregnant so leaving her with you is my only option." Said the heartless gold digger.

"You willing to give up our kid for a golfer and his money, just like that!?" I couldn't believe that she would do that, I wouldn't have the heart to.

"I'm not marrying him for his money!" She lied.

"You fucking are!! Stop lying to my face! Do you even love her, do you even love Bree!?" I questioned.

"I do." She lied again, I could tell by the look in her eyes. "Look Rossy, I hardly spent time with her, she had like seven different nannies. Paul insisted due to his busy life."

"Well tell Paul to go fuck himself, who gives him the right to decide what's best for my kid!? Grace! Where the fuck is my daughter!?"

"I'll bring her tomorrow, gosh relax!" She brushed her hair out of her face while staring at me as if I was insane for reacting the way I did.

"Grace! I'm not going to fucking ask you again!" I growled.

"She's with Lexi." She sighed while pulling make-up from her bag and then applied color to her lips.

"Lexi the slut!?" I shook my head in shock. I should have figured. Lexi was her only friend in town, most girls stayed clear from Gracie because of her attitude and her need to be a bitch twenty four seven.

"You left my daughter with a lunatic! That girl is fucking crazy!" I screamed in panic. Fuck!

"Whoaa, what the fuck is going on here!?" Orin squinted his eyes as he came walking out of the club noticing my bleeding knuckles and the vein on my forehead that was about to pop in due time.

"Fuck man, I need to go get my kid!" I said jogging over to my car." Ask Lana to drop you, I'm-" I said still speaking to him when he shut me off.

"Shut the fuck up man, I'm coming with you." He nodded without asking any questions and then hopped into the car as I started my engine, pushed my car to it's limit and left tire marks in the road while my ears had heard them squeak against the tar as I pulled away.

"Calm the fuck down man, you'll get us into an accident." Orin yelled as I slowed down my driving and then explained what had just happened between Grace and I.

"No offense man, I know she's the mother of your kid but she's a straight up bitch."

"None taken, call her what you want. I don't give a fuck." I said as I spotted Lexi's house down the road I was currently in and stopped directly in front of it pushing my foot down on the break while the blood from my knuckles dripped down my arm and onto the leather seat of my car, shit I couldn't care less right now.

Orin and I climbed out of the car as we rushed to her front door and then Orin banged on the wood with his fists as loud as he could. Not giving a fuck that it was 2am.

And then someone answered, pulling the door open. It was Lexi.

"Hey Steph, I knew you'd eventually leave that blue eye'd hoe and come running back to me. They always come back." She giggled as I moved her out of the way so I could enter her house, taking no notice of her as my eyes searched her home thoroughly.

"The blue eye'd hoe is my sister and I suggest that you don't call her a hoe when it's obvious that you've fucked about fifty guys, don't look now but your vagina's hanging on the floor." Orin smiled and if I wasn't as focused on finding my kid I probably would have bursted out in laughter. Orin was a very raw guy with no fucking filter, is what I had learnt while spending time with him and that I had actually enjoy his company.

"Lexi, where's my daughter!" I said staring her down.

"She's sleeping Steph, do you really wanna wake her?" She rolled her eyes back.

"What the fuck is up with you women and keeping me from my kid!? Lexi cut the shit, where's my baby?"

"Upstairs." She said softly and then I stomped up the staircase in a rush and opened the first door which was the right one because I saw my baby sleeping soundly beneath the blankets on a bed with pillows surrounding her. I watched her from the door frame sleeping like a little angel and then I stepped closer with caution trying my best not to allow my movement to wake her, I wanted to see her, I wanted to see her beautiful face for the first time and when I did, I believed in love at first sight even though I had loved her the minute I knew she had existed.

Her beautiful straight dark hair was tied in a cute little ponytail, her eyes were shut and her rosy cheeks stood out. She was so tiny. I smiled as I had seen her for the first time. My heart melted by just staring at her. She had my lips and ears is what I had noticed when I had allowed myself to live in the moment. Fuck sake, she was perfect. I leaned over and lifted her up slowly with my left hand while my right hand supported her. I didn't want to get my blood on her so I tried not to use my right hand as much.

She began to moan as her little eyelids lifted, exposing the grey infused blue color beneath them and then she scrunched her face up before she began to cry.

"Don't cry sweetheart." I said holding her against me as her head faced my neck with her cheek resting on my shoulder as she still continued to cry. "Daddy's here now baby don't cry." I spoke to her and began to slightly bounce on one spot in attempt to have her fall back to sleep. She was then quiet but still awake so I then carefully walked down the staircase holding onto her so tightly as she watched me in silence.

Orin waited for me at the bottom and when I had finally reached the front door Lexi had tried saying something but then Orin had shut the door in her face as we walked over to my car.

"Orin, I know I'm asking for too much but can you fucking hold her while I drive. I don't wanna get blood on her." I said and then he walked over and took my daughter from my arms.

While I took my leather jacket off from my body, now only wearing a t-shirt and covered her with it. It was cold and I didn't want her to freeze nor get sick so I decided to rather endure the cold air as long as she was comfortable and warm.

"Don't be crazy man, it's not fucking asking for too much." He smiled as he looked down at her.

We both then climbed into my car and then I started the engine. I drove slowly because brie-ell was in the car and maybe the slow drive would assist by putting her back to sleep.

I put the radio on softly as I exhaled and cruised down the road.

"Brie-ell right?" Orin asked as he had held her in his arms.

"Yeah." I paused. "Thanks you, you know...for coming with me."

"No problem man." He nodded.

After a long slow drive that sent Bree back to sleep, we had finally arrived at my house. Orin then carried my daughter inside as I had spoken.

"You can put her in the room across from mine. It's hers." I said pointing to the room Grace and I had decorated and filled with baby stuff when she was still pregnant while I wiped my hand removing the dry blood.

"You insane, I'm not fucking leaving her with you man. I'm ganna take her with me next door."

"What the fuck, why?" I questioned him curiously.

"Let's be honest bro, you don't know shit when it comes to babies!" He smirked.

"And you do?"

"Yeah I fucking do. My girlfriend's cousin has a three year old son and we've been babysitting him since he was about eight months old. I bet you don't even fucking know how to change dippers." He chuckled.

"Shut the fuck up man." I smirked because he was right. I knew nothing about kids. I knew a lot about women, cars and money...but kids? Fuck sake, I knew jack shit.

"You can't fucking take her though, I don't want my kid to leave. I've been without her for long enough." I said.

"Fine, I'm staying over for the night then man, cause obviously you fucking need me." He laughed under his breath.

"Whatever." I smirked. "You can sleep in the guest bedroom it's down the hall, last door."

"Sure." He said and then walked over to her room and opened the door to place Bree into her little crib and then he slowly pulled the door closed without closing it completely as he walked out.

"You ready to be a father?" Orin laughed lightly.

"Fuck, I have to be." I replied.

"Yeah, some serious responsibility." He nodded as he walked over to the lounge and placed a few things from his pocket onto the coffee table. "I'm gana head next door for a minute, shower, get my shit, smoke my lungs full then I'll be back." He said as I nodded before he left.

I then felt the urge to check on my daughter so I walked over to her room and then began to hear a vibration, it wasn't my phone because my phone was in my pocket, it was coming from the lounge and then I walked over to see Orin's phone vibrating against the wood of the coffee table.

"Paisley." It read on the screen and then I contemplated about answering it as I watched it continue to vibrate for a moment or two.

Fuck it, I don't care. I thought before swiping to answer. I now held his phone to my ear as she began to speak.

"Orin! Where are you!? Dad's been worrying, I swear he's about to send out a search party." She paused "Hello Ori" I heard another voice. "That was Liv, anyway where are you!?" She seemed stressed as I automatically smiled while hearing her speak. My heart had missed the sound of her voice and it felt good to hear it again.

"Baby." I said smoothly as I sat myself down onto the couch.

"Orin! I'm your sister that's just..." She paused to process what she had just heard. "Stephan?"

"Yeah." I said simply.

"How? What? Stephan? What did you do to Orin? Why do you have his phone? Did you kill him?" She began to panic again.

"No. Calm down Blueberry." I laughed. "It's kinda a long story but Orin's okay, just tell your dad that he's by your mom and he's fine. Everything's fine." I said calming her down as I heard her exhale in relief.

"I miss you baby." I said. "When you coming back to me?" I smirked.

"I miss you too." She said and I could feel her smiling on the other side.

"We were suppose to get married remember, the last time I checked you accepted my watch which is kinda like a ring. So technically we're engaged." I joked and then I heard her giggle.

"You're making me sad." She said her voice hinting a bit of playfulness.

"What did I do baby? I never meant to make you sad." I smiled as I brushed my fingers through my hair.

"You making me miss you more than what I already do, so stop being so cute!" She giggled while I bit down onto my lower lip as a smile widened on my face.

"Baby?"

"Yes Stephan."

"We need to talk."

"About what?"

"Paisley, you know what about." I said calmly.

"Stephan I, I- " she tried saying something but then I heard a creaking door and noticed Bree standing in the door frame of her bedroom staring at me with her big pretty eyes while dragging one of the plush toys in her hand.

Fuck sake, she can walk?...well, fuck she's almost two so I guess it's expected.

"Stephan?" Blueberry had spoken when she had noticed my silence.

"Yeah, sorry baby. I need to go." I said and then hung up before she could say anything while Bree still stood in the same spot batting her long lashes as she watched me.

I then quickly cleared Paisley's name from Orin's call list so he would have no knowledge of our interaction and then placed his phone back onto the surface of the coffee table.

"Come here honey." I smiled not knowing how the fuck she had gotten out of her crib unless Orin had failed to secure it.

She didn't walk towards me instead she just kept staring at me while clutching the teddy.

"Come to daddy sweetheart, it's okay." I said holding out my arms and then she slowly strolled forward, towards me, wearing an elephant grey cozy crawler, while her tiny feet stepped on the surface of the ground, I bent low still holding out my arms as she walked directly into them and then I lifted her up along with her teddy and just held her in my arms and surprisingly she rested her head against my chest as she closed her eye's. I was unsure of whether Brie-ell wasn't use to sleeping alone or if she just wanted to feel loved. I don't exactly know how shit worked under Gracie's roof but what I had in my arms was a beautiful little girl, my little girl and Fuck sake I would never make her feel anything less than loved.
