The next morning I awoke still in Pan's tent. I parted the fabric just for a second and peeked out into camp. Light had only just begun to filter down through the trees and all the boys, who I knew to call themselves the Lost Boys, where still asleep. I had no idea where Pan was, I assumed he was in the only other tent next to mine. I wanted to get away. Killian had always told me that Pan was no good and lead to trouble. But as he hadn't hurt me yet, I didn't think he would. I slipped out of my tent and took one of the daggers that a boy kept at his side. Before creeping away without a soul seeing me.

I found my way back to the small beach easily. Sitting down in the sad I looked at the horizon and toyed with the small, but well crafted dagger in my hands. Without realizing I began to hum mine and Killian's song. It meant so much to us.

"This not the end of me, this is the beginning

                                                                              hold on

                                                                       I am still alive

This is not the end of me this is the beginning"

"You have a wonderful singing voice" a voice said behind me and I turned to see Pan behind me.

"Thanks" I muttered and turned back to the sea.

"It might be more beautiful than a siren's. But that would have to be tested...." he mused, I ignored him. "So you thought you could get away did you?" he asked and I shook my head.

"Why are you here then?" he asked. I managed to note that in my miserable little world, Pan's voice no longer sounded sly or smug, but his voice was much softer, more concerned. I shrugged, not wanting to tell him about Killian. "Well, whatever the reason, you might as well help me catch some fish for breakfast" he said and I nodded with a sigh and stood up.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" I asked and Pan shrugged.

"Why not, after all you are a guest in Neverland" he said and began to fashion a spear using reeds and his own dagger. I copied, but with some difficulty. On the Jolly Rodger, Killian's ship, we had fishing nets for this kind of thing. "Which is a good question. How did you end up here?" he asked and I shrugged.

"I honestly don't know" I said and waded into the shallow waters.

"Well what happened before you arrived here?" he asked and I thought about it. Should I tell him? I suppose he might have answers for me, or he could see my weaknesses though it all. I didn't know what to do. So I kept my secret not saying anything. Pan didn't press for any more information.

That evening I went for a walk around the main part of town unable to sleep, Henry's words playing on my mind. I was just passing Grannies when I saw Emma's little yellow car go past. Henry inside. He didn't look happy. I ran after them waving my arms around until Emma saw me in her mirror and stopped. I ran to Henry's window and looked inside. "Henry are you alright?" I asked catching my breath. His eyes where wide and he nodded. I relaxed a little and Emma smiled

"We where just going for a midnight drive" she said and I narrowed my eyes but nodded.

"You mum's not going to be happy about this, Henry" I said and he shrugged, Mayor Mills was his adoptive mother and not fond of Emma, his birth mother.

"She doesn't know" he said and I sighed.

"Well you should be back before she does" I said and he nodded.

"We will" he promised and I nodded.

"What are you doing up so late?" Emma asked and I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks as I blushed.

"I couldn't sleep, I was thinking about what you said" I told Henry and he beamed.

"Does that mean you believe me?" he asked and I shook my head, his smiled fading.

"Sorry, but would you mind if I borrowed you book?" I asked and he nodded.

"If you come round tomorrow I'll give it to you" he said and I nodded.

"Thanks. Well see you tomorrow kid. Bye Emma" I said.

"Bye" Emma and Henry said at the same time exchanging glancing looks before I stepped back letting them drive off.

I made my way back to house, a small one by the beach. I curled up on the sofa and stared out at the water outside the large windows. I must have drifted off because when I looked again it was light outside and no longer dark. The sea was the same grey blue color it always was and the sand was the same damp golden color. I stretched with and yawned standing up to put the kettle on and heading up stairs to change while I waited for the water to boil.

After a warming shower and a fresh set of clothes I had some breakfast and a coffee, before setting off to Henry's house.

I reached the large white house and knocked on the front door. It opened and Regina stood there. "Miss Young, what can I do for you?" she asked and I smiled as best I could. I knew she hated me.

"I'm here to see Henry, he asked me to come over this morning" I told her and she frowned

"Henry!" she called and a thump came from upstairs telling us that Henry was on his way.

"How are you at the moment?" I asked trying to be polite as we waited.

"Not to good, but why would you care?" she snapped and I shrugged.

"Am I not allowed to?" I asked, she didn't reply.

Henry appeared then peeking out from under Regina's arm "Oh hey Anna, come on up" he said and lead the way. I smiled at Regina who was speechless as I passed her and followed Henry up the stairs to his room.
