Chapter 67

Jungkook was silently dragging his suitcase after he had retrieved it, having went through the airport checkout successfully.

It was one day before new years and after you had left to visit your parents he had decided to do the same and spend this new year with the people that were his family but also felt like a curse to him.

He fixed his black mask that he had worn to cover his face in hopes of not recognizing him, as he was sure that his father should already know that he was going to visit even though he hadn't informed him.  Nothing could really escape from him though so he didn't need to inform, Jungkook knew well that he was always informed for everything that he does, every second, every move, every breath he took, would reach his father's ears for sure.

He stepped out of the airport, the cold breeze hitting against the parts of his skin that he had exposed making him shiver a little.

Mediterranean weather was something he always liked, it had it all. The Warmth of the Spring the hot of the Summer, the light cold of the Autumn and the frost of the Winter.

He looked around soon finding a taxi which he approached it and talked to the driver, asking him if he was free.

After taking a positive response from the man, he went to leave his baggage on the back but as he was about to play his suitcase in the car, a hand grabbed it, taking it away from his.

He looked at the man dressed in a black suit in surprise for a moment, but as he turned around he was met with a black car, at it's side standing two other men dressed in black, one of them being someone familiar to Jungkook.

Jungkook sighed as the man approached him, his hand pulling of the mask he was wearing as he had no need of it anymore.

"Welcome home young master." The man greeted him with a small bow and Jungkook observed him for a moment, noticing how the years had taken no mercy on his old friend.

"It's been a while Luigi. You look awful." He commented making the - by many years - elder man smile before in a blink of an eye, getting him into a lockhead.

"Your reflexes are what's awful here kiddo. It seems i need to train your ass." Jungkook heard his voice say as he laughed, not resisting to get out of his hold as he knew he would leave him and he soon did.

"Let's go, your father is waiting for you." He informed him, as he walked ahead, the door of the car already opened by the other man, for him to enter.

Jungkook quietly did so and they soon hit the road with him silently gazing outside the window to the city that he would visit in summers when he was a kid. A city with extremely rich culture, a glorious history on it's back that gave great fame to it. From the architecture of the building, to the ancient wealth, to great artists. Italy was a great country and Rome it's capital pearl. However Italy wasn't famous only for good things such as the ones mentioned above but for criminal organizations as well and unfortunately, Jungkook was part of that famous aspect of this country.

If only his mother hadn't gotten married to a Italian mafian boss, he wondered many times, how different his life would have been. How free he could have been.

---Time skip---

You were walking around the park near your parents house. The coffee shops were still the same as you had left them, the bakery owner still shouts loudly all the time, the old ladies at the third balcony opposite your house still gather there and gossip about the neighborhood, the cars can still be heard perfectly well, before reaching out of the alley to get on the main road. Nothing had changed around there and somehow, you were glad it hadn't.

Sometimes people need something stable in their lives, especially when our lives seem ready to crumble, and you couldn't say that your life has been stable lately.

Actually since you had gotten involved with Jimin only stable that it hadn't been, from experiencing the fear of getting expelled from university if he was to tell on you, to living with the stress of pleasing him and following his commands, to his personal problems that somehow you ended up involved in.

Thinking back on those times, you would have never thought you would end up crushing on him, not with that crappy attitude he had and the way he used to behave with you, not when he had made you suffer by cleaning up all his mansion and his garden and every other time he had demanded to do chores for him.

If i only hadn't digged farther and had just stayed on that jerk like character of his. I wouldn't be such a mess now.

You thought to yourself as your steps were slowly taking you home, in mind having the same thing you had had since Christmas night, after you bit him goodnight.

You had arrived home with Jungkook that night only to stay till morning on your bed, unable to sleep as you couldn't stop thinking about his face when you had opened the door for him, how he looked, how he smiled at the dinner, how he hugged you by his car.

His warmth hadn't left your mind since then, and neither his words.
"Out if work, i am just Jimin." Those simple and logical words that somehow gave you a tiny bit of hope, you knew well you shouldn't be having.

However you couldn't help but interpret those words in ways that benefitted you or even justified a little your feelings. Because if he was to be just Jimin, your crush for him wouldn't be so unacceptable, it wouldn't sound so wrong, it wouldn't be so forbidden as you make it in your head.

But he wasn't just Jimin. He was a Professor, your professor and you had to remind that to yourself as constantly as possible, in hopes that you will move on from these feelings that you have for him, as soon as possible.

You were bound to get hurt after all, this agreement was going to come to an end at the end of the semester and you would have no place in his life anymore. He would be gone and you would be nothing more than just one more face among the many students that sat on his auditorium.

That's for the best. I will finally be free, that's what i wanted. He can take care of his problems on his own. He is no kid.

You reassured yourself before shaking your head and taking a look at your surroundings only to realize that you had just passed by your house.

You sighed, disappointed at your silly action and turned around with a quicker step, hoping no one had noticed this mistake of yours.

You grabbed your keys from your coat's pocket quickly, noticing your finger tips that had turned red from the cold.

You shot your head at the dark sky at that moment, looking for clouds as the possibility of snow came to your mind, but you found non, as the night sky was clear and some stars had started appearing as it was still early for them all to surface.

You opened the door and got inside, leaning down to take of your shoes as at your ears traveled the voices of your mother and father talking.

You assumed that they might be having a conversation about something till you caught up to a third voice that you could hear clearly to make out what it said.

It seems we have a guest over.  I just hope it's not a relative.

You thought as you had really been fed up with relatives these days and there calls. The funny thing is that they usually never care, but that was till they learned about your academic success and all of a sudden they become, carrying a curious about your personal life. Seriously why can't humans just mind their own lives for once.

You fixed your clothes a little before taking a deep breath and calm your nerves, to face what you assumed to be some relative of your that had come to pay a visit.

However once you stepped inside the living room, your fit came to a halt at the absolutely unexpected presence that was sitting nonchalantly on your couch, engaged into a conversation with your parents.

"Oh, Y/N dear, you came." Your mother took notice of you, her words making the attention of your father and Jimin, turn your way.

"Welcome home Y/N" He said as you kept staring at him, speechless.
