Chapter 9

Five grabbed my hand and lead me through out the empty, dark clothing store. We walked down the millions of clothing aisles until we came to a display in the center of a store.

"Delores," Five mumbled to himself, "It's good to see you.". I looked at the mannequin he was staring at. I have a confused look to Five, why was he talking to a mannequin? "I missed you, obviously. Well, it's been a rough couple of days," Five said to 'Dolores'.

I felt anger build up inside of me, a sort of jealousy. It's uncanny of me, I know. But, I felt like this 'Dolores' was more important to Five than I was...

Bang!

We both whipped our heads around to see two figures holding guns. "No!" Five shouted. The figures starting shooting at us. Five grabbed me and pulled me to the ground. He held my hand as he ran behind a clothing rack. "Oh shit, it's them!" Five said worried.

"Who Five, who is it? Why are they shooting at us?" I asked. He ignored me and ran towards the mannequin that was now laying on the ground. "Five, get back here!" I called. He ran back to where we were hiding safely. He looks down at the mannequin in his arms.

"I'll be right back for you. Y/n stay here with Delores, make sure she's safe," Five ordered, spatial jumping away. 'What the hell is wrong with him?' I thought. I watched as the two people shoot at Five as he jumps around the store. I didn't want to just stand there, I had to get out of here before one of us gets killed. I grab Delores and run towards the door, but before I could get out, the one of the shooters grab me by my shirt.

"Where do you think you're going?" He asks, "Cha-Cha! I got someone!" The man shouts, dragging me over to "Cha-Cha". They both stopped going after Five and turned to me.

"Who are you? What are you doing here? Are you with the boy?" She asked. I just started at both of them in fright hoping they wouldn't hurt me.

"Let's take her back to the room, maybe she'll talk there," The man holding me suggests.

"Sounds like a plan, Hazel. And take the mannequin too," Cha-Cha says before walking out of the store with me being dragged along.

No one's POV

After spatial jumping around the store, Five stops after no guns were to be heard. He looked around the store to see Delores and Y/n being dragged out by Hazel and Cha-Cha. "Delores! No!" He shouts, running over to them. But he was too late, because they already sped off. "Dammit," Five says under his breath.

Y/n's POV

I sat tied down to a chair in the middle of a hotel room. Delores was on one of the two beds next to my bag. "Whats your name?" Cha-Cha asks.

"Y-Y/n," I answer.

"Who are you working for?"

"Nobody."

"What is your business with the boy?" Hazel asks.

"He's my..." I hesitate, not wanting them to know I have powers too, "he's my...friend."

"How did you meet him?"

"Well, I-I saw him at that donut place, Griddy's, a-and  we just started talking," I lied.

"Ok, I think that's enough. She doesn't seem dangerous. Maybe we shou-"

"Stop right there!" Five barges in out of no where.

"It's him!" Hazel yells.

"Oh my god, Delores! You're safe!" Five says in relief, running over to the mannequin.

"Delores?" I scoff. It's like all Five cares about is that lifeless piece of plastic. Five grabbed Delores and immediately special jumped out of the room. How can he forget me?

"Wow, looks like y/n here really is worthless, let her go," Cha-Cha ordered. Hazel unwrapped the rope, making me free from the chair. I grabbed my bag and sped out of there as fast as I could. I ran all the way across town to my apartment. I unlocked the door and slid down in the wall. I cried, and cried, until I had to tears left.

I felt so vulnerable, like Five didn't care about me anymore. I thought I was his number one, his top priority. That's what he used to tell me when I was upset. Now, all he cares about is Delores.

I sat against the wall by the door for a while, just thinking and thinking. After 20 minutes, the front door opened.

"Y/n? Is that you?" Vanya asked, seeing me huddled on the floor in the dark.

"Yeah," I answered with a shaky breath.

"Have you been crying?" She questioned while sitting down next to me. I nodded my head a little bit, starting at the ground. "Do you want to talk?"

"I-I guess so," I said. I proceeded to tell Vanya about Hazel and Cha-Cha, Delores, and how Five completely ignored me.

"Oh, y/n, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Next time I see him, I'll talk to him for you. Why don't you get some rest and stay home tomorrow. You still haven't finished that painting that's supposed to be done," Vanya suggested.

"You're right Vanya, I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight," I said before heading to my room. I plopped omg my bed and stared at the ceiling.

Five, what a bitch
