Chapter 7

After Harry's tantrum he stayed in his bed room locked while the boys and I started eating breakfast. I wonder why Harry was so jealous. I was a bitch to him before! Why would he like me now?!

"Ok class you guys will be doing a project in pairs," all you could hear was 'whoo' 'yeah' 'aww man'. "But... I'm going to pick the pairs," aww man that's the worse I hope I don't get paired up with Josh he's the school jock and he's always trying to hit on me.

"Ok, Mike and Rose.... Joshua and Drake....." the list went on and on until I heard my name "Maria and Harry," oh c'mon not him!! He has this huge and when I say huge I mean huge crush on me.

I walked over to him and he smiled and waved at me. Ugh.

"Hey Styles," I murmured while sitting down in the seat next to him.

"Hi. S-so I was w-wondering at which h-house we should go," he said adjusting his big glasses in nervousness.

"Umm none because you're gonna do it alone!" I snap at him just as the bell rings. I walk back to my locker.

"But it's a pair work," he said running after me.

I sigh "I don't care Styles!" I say slaming my locker.

"Maria! Mary!" Louis said screaming in my face

"Ugh what Louis?! What do you want?!" I screamed right back at him.

"Nothing! It's just you were lost in la la land!" he said stomping off and closing his bedroom door hard.

"Well that's enough of that. Zayn would you please come with me to Simon's office we apparently are 'in trouble'!" Liam said interrupting the awkwardness.

"Sure. Bye guys," Zayn agreed and all of the sudden I was alone.

"Bye," I whisper.

Harry's P.O.V

Why was I jealous? Well I don't know!

Do I like Maria? I don't know!

I'm just afraid to tell her what really happened. Will she hate me after I tell her?

Does she really care about me? Well she did once...

"It's ok I'll do it myself," I said backing away but something hard stopped me. Josh.

"Well look who it is! If it isn't Harry 'Geekboy' Styles," Josh said pushing me up the locker making all my books fall. Once he lets go of me I went to pick my books up.

"Aw you care more about your pity little books than your own life! You geek," he said kicking me in my stomach making me groan in pain.

I looked over at Maria and she was fuming. Josh kept punching an kicking me.

"Josh! Joshua!!Stop it you're hurting him!" Maria said stepping in between Josh and I and blocking me. She started blocking her head for Josh's incoming punch. Instead I grab his fist and twist it. I smiled in success not just because I won but because I know that the girl that I've had a crush on since we met in preschool just risked her beautiful face to cover mine from the punch.

The thought of her saving me like that made me smile everytime I was upset.

I looked over at my wrists and I could see that my marks were still there but barely noticeable. Yeah, I used to cut but only back in high school when everyone was bullying me.

Knock knock

"Who is it?" I said readjusting my jacket sleeves. Nobody knows, not even my mother, that I used to cut.

"It's Maria," I heard her sweet voice echo through the room.

"Come in," I say looking at the door waiting for her to come in.

"Hey. How are you feeling?" she said opening the door and sitting down next to me.

"I'm fine," I lie. I wasn't fine. I had to tell her. But I can't it'll brake her heart. She can't know...

"Even though I know you're lying I'll let it pass," she smiles at me and continues "...So I was wondering if you'd like to come some place with me?" she said looking at me with puppy dog eyes.

God damn she's so beautiful!!

"Sure," I say adoringly.

"Max!! Max!!" she kept shouting down the dark alleyway.

"Umm Maria?" she looked back and nodded "What are we looking for?"

"My dog, Max. He's supposed to be here somewhere," she said looking behind a trash bin.

"Well well well, look what the cat dragged in"
