After you got dressed, you walk towards Ruby's room and open the door, handing the clothes to her. She thanks you before shutting and locker her bedroom door. You chuckle a bit and walk into the bathroom, inspecting your outfit in the mirror to make sure that you don't look stupid. You had on a pair of black ripped jeans, a gray (your favorite band) shirt, red converse, and a red flannel that was wrapped around your waist.

After you eventually decided that it wasn't gonna get any better or worse, you heading back to Ruby's room and knocked on the door.

"C'mon Rubes, I'm bored. Let me in," You say. You don't get any response, and just as you were about to knock again, the door opens and Jack steps out with Ruby behind him.

You blush a bit when you see him. He was wearing a pair of lightly colored jeans, a black shirt, a blue flannel that was unbuttoned, and his black converse. He had the black mask Ruby was talking about over his eyes, which you assumed he could see out of considering what he said.

"You're so cute when your face is red, Y/N!" He says, hugging you.

You roll your eyes and hug back, looking over at Ruby who seemed to be internally fangirling.

"Don't worry about anything, the makeup won't come off unless we use my makeup remover, so you two just go out and have fun!" she said, pushing you both towards and out the front door.

You and Jack laugh a bit, him handing you your backpack before heading out. Jack grabs your hand as you two walk down the street. You listen to his stories about what Ruby put him through behind the locked door. You didn't mind not getting a word in, as Jack was having fun and that's what truly mattered to you.

You decided that you didn't want to take Jack on a 'traditional' date for your first date, so you decided to head to the nearby arcade. Jack wasn't really paying attention to where you were going, so it would be a nice surprise.

"Woah! I didn't know we were going here, Y/N!" Jack says excitedly, grabbing your hand and pulling you inside. You manage to get him to calm down long enough for you to pay for tokens so you both could play the games.

"So, which one do you want to play first, Jack?" You ask, allowing him to pick the games, as you have been here several times before and have played every game.

"Hmm, oh! This one looks fun!" He says, dragging you towards a two player zombie shooter game. You nod and you both sit inside the box. Jack grabs the gun while you put the tokens in.

It didn't take long for Jack to figure out how the game worked, and you both got pretty far in the game before there were too many zombies for you both to keep up. Although you did beat your previous high score, so that made the loss better.

Jack dragged you around, and both of you played almost every single game until you eventually ran out of tokens. You open your bag for Jack to put the last bit of tickets in, and you both smile at how many you've won. You lead Jack over to the prize counter.

"Pick anything you want, Jacky," you say, smiling and blushing a bit as his eyes light up.

He looks around at all the prizes, eventually seeing a couple Nerf guns that were small enough to fit into the backpack and a whole case of ammo for it. He pays the tickets for them, and holds them up to show to you. You chuckle while also internally sighing, knowing that he was just going to randomly shoot you and Ruby throughout the day.

You end up getting a squshmallow with the remaining tickets, allowing Jack to put that in your backpack too before you both head out. You decide that it was probably time for food, so you decided to take Jack to a buffet, cause he basically eats everything.

Once you pay and you both get food, you sit across from each other at the table, making jokes, talking, and eating. But as you both were almost done and ready to go, a group of students from your college walks over to you.

Your only real friend was Ruby and a few friends from high school that you still kept in touch with, so these people were probably just trying to start trouble with the quiet kid that they barely even know.

"Oh wow, is that Y/N?" One of them says.

"Yeah, I think so. Hey Y/N! Who's this guy? I've never seen him before."

And that's when it hit you, these are Ruby's friends. They're pretty nice, but they are very intrusive and always trying to get into your business. Though you weren't ashamed to be with Jack at all, nor did you care what they thought anyway.

"This is Jack, my boyfriend."

Jack gave a little wave before going back to finishing his food. They look at you, shocked and saying things like 'oh my god I didn't know you were gay.' It eventually got annoying, as they wouldn't shut up, so you looked at Jack and motion for him to get up.

"Oh, are you guys heading to Ruby's?" They ask.

"No," you say quickly, taking Jack's hand before quickly leaving.

"Well they seemed like a delight, but I though we were heading back home?" Jack says, confused.

"Oh we are, but they don't know that. I just didn't want them to walk with us and annoy me when I'm trying to spend time with you boyfriend."

Jack chuckles and kisses your cheek, "such a smart boy I'm dating."

You roll your eyes and smile. Despite the last bit, the date was fun, and you're glad that Jack had a great time. Plus, you were really excited to see when Jack would shoot Ruby with the Nerf gun.
