{Flashback}
Six years old.

I sat on my mommy's Leg laugh giggling as she bopped my nose and peetended to be a horse and winey as she would bounce the knee that I am sitting on up and down. School was canceled today because it was snowing!

My baby sister, Piper was rolling around in her crib whining and screaming which I was used to by now. I pouted as My mommy sat me down and began to treat Piper.

When there was a loud knock on the door, My dad walked downstairs on a phone call and opened the door. A man stood there with a gun in his hands. I wasn't really sure what was going on until four loud bangs from the gun went off and my family was on the floor.

"NO!!" I sobbed and looked at the guy who smirked and then aimed the gun at me. I instantly started running, I ran upstairs and hid in my bedroom shutting the door on the man's face and locked it. In adventure movies that daddy and I always watch on Friday's when Indiana Jones had to escape he jumped out of a window.

So that was exactly what I did. I landed in the snow breathing heavily as the killer tried to get to me but the super hero of our town Captain Man stood over me protectively and Punched the guy in the face causing him to fall to the ground unconscious.

Tears were streaming down my cheeks as I remembered everything that had just happened...
My family is up in heaven and I'm still on earth...Captain man looked at me with a sad smile and bent down to my level.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't here in time Kid.." He spoke quietly instantly bringing me into a hug. I didn't return it and just looked down.

"I will have to bring you to the adoption center kid-"

"NO!" I instantly cried wiping the tears away with my sleeve. "I AM NOT GOING THERE!" I cried out remembering what had happened in the show Annie how the person that ran the center was mean and made them wake up early and do chores. Captain man must had seem My fearful expression. He smiled sadly at me and sighed looking up at the sky as if he did not know what he was about to say.

"...You can live with me..."

"Hey Henry!" My best friend Jasper greeted as I entered the school doors. I forced a smile and waved at him as I made it towards my locker and began to collect my text books. You must think that it must be super cool to live with Captain Man, but to admit it... I hate it.

Ray and I don't usually get along and he told me that I can't even tell my best friends that my parents are murdered! That's just messed up. They should get to know my past, since that happened when I was six and now I'm fifteen.

I dress Emo and don't wear any fun colors some people judge me...And they just don't get it. How would you feel if your parents got murdered! I have a few nice memories of living with them but some are still faded. It hurts. Still. Even ten years later.

Nobody gets me.

"So Henry, how are your parents doing? You haven't mentioned them in a long time?" Charlotte then asked happier then ever. I shrugged and shut my locker.

"We have these movie nights where we always used to hang out and eat popcorn together." I force a smile but then noticed my mistake. Jasper tilted his head in confusion.

"What do you mean used to?" Charlotte then spoke up for the both of them. I ignored their question and began to walk to my first class by myself.

Time skip, After School

I walked into the man cave and heaved my backpack onto the ground with an annoyed and frustrated groan. Ray walked into the room with concern and worry painted across his face.

"You okay, Hen?" Ray quizzed using my nickname that my mom had always used to call me that. Tears threatened my eyes. "Can you please not call me...... Hen?" I question shakily. Ray patted my shoulder.

"I'm sorry kid. Now to answer my question before?"

"To admit it I'm not! Okay? Jasper and Charlotte are getting suspicious about my parents.." I whimpered. Ray brought me into the first hug that I have ever gotten in ten ears. Yeah I know, Sad. I hugged back tightly and this was all I really need.

"Jasper, Charlotte don't need to know about how you're parents were gone. They are your best friend and think your life is normal! Don't you want to take that as an advantage?" Ray quizzed with a playful raised eyebrow. I nodded with a smile on my face for the first time in years.

"thanks Ray..."
