TWENTY ONE

Dil Udaas, Zubaan Khamosh
Aur Ye Aankh Nam Kyu Hai,
Tujhe To Kabhi Paya Hi Na Tha
To Phir Aaj Khone Ka Dar Kyu Hai.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Her heart stopped, watching the scene in front of her. Every insecurity, every pain, every fear was forgotten as soon as her eyes landed upon him; her father.

There he was standing with slugged shoulders in the vast living room of Kirmani mansion, looking like a restless man on mission.

His eyes, they were swollen red, screaming tales of sleepless nights he had. All in all he looked a broken, dead man!

But the question was... Was her father really there ? Or was she seeing the most beautiful dream of her life ? If she was, then she prayed for it to never get over! Never!

Musa too on the other hand wasn't able to believe what he was seeing, but unlike his wife he knew it was true. Her father was really there and it was no dream of his!

He knew his fate! It could never be soft towards him. Could it be ?

A soft inaudible chuckle escaped his lips as he raked fingers through his hair, messing them using his free hand. So, that was it!

The end of Mariyam and Musa!

You both never began Musa. Khatam hona to door ki baat hai.

Oh how much his heart was paining watching her father. He was finally here to take his Mariyam... And he couldn't even do anything. He was helpless.

She herself wanted to go away from him. She wanted to be with her family and it didn't included him.

How much he wanted to embrace her tight and plead her not to leave him. How much he wanted her to forgive him and give him another chance.... But he knew he couldn't do that.

Her happiness was hindering him.... The happiness he snatched from her. The happiness which was devoid from her life from the last ten days.

Her eyes were shining at the sight of her father and he couldn't help but feel happy for her.

Atleast one of them would get their happiness.

And thus he gazed at her like a starved man, stranded in a dessert without any water, and watched her like she was the only way to his survival, like she was the last drop of water and after her he would be left with nothing. Nothing to survive...

Look at her for the last time Musa. Capture this moment within your heart forever!! Kya pata ab ye pal aaye na aaye...

Adhering to his hearts pleads, he gazed at her with all the love and affection he had in him. He took in her beauty from close for the last time, knowing the doom was close.

Chest constricted with pain, heart thudded wildly, eyes became heavy with ache, lips quivered with sorrow, as he watched his everything slipping away from his hands in the mirth of passing time, but all of it came to halt, when he saw her lips wobbling.

“Mariyam!” watching his wife lost in her trance Musa squeezed her hand, making her whimper painfully for breaking her beautiful dream.

Why couldn't this man let me be happy for once ? Inko meri khushiyon se itni pareshaani kyu hoti hai ?!

A small frown marred Musa's handsome face, as he saw Mariyam glaring at him wiping the fat tear leaking out of her eye.

He wasn't able to understand why she was crying now. Wasn't she feeling happy seeing her father ?

Oh no!! Had he been too rough on her while squeezing her hand ? Or was she afraid to meet---

Yes! She definitely was. How could he forget her breakdown ?!

Pushing a forced smile, he caressed her back, encouraging her to meet her father, even when his heart was begging him not to let her go. “G-go meet him. He will be so happy---” his heart, it cursed him, angry at him for betraying it, playing with its emotions, but all it's pleads went onto deaf ears, because now something else came before it's own wishes and desires. It was---

....Her hapiness! The sparkle her misty eyes were emitting was more important to him... And that time he could trade off anything of his, for this sparkle.

“....I-i...I-is this t-true ?!” Mariyam gasped in shock, registering Musa's words and covered her mouth, to keep the surge of emotions at bay, stopping herself from crying out loud in happiness.

He was really there! Her Abba was really standing there and she wasn't dreaming.

A soft chuckle escaped her lips as she met her gaze with Musa, and smiled widely at him. Her eyes crinkled from the corners, her lips stretched in a perfect smile, making his heart flutter wildly inside his chest.

She smiled at him for the first time... And he again lost his heart to her, to her smile, which was directed towards him, exclusively and entirely!

Mariyam was happy because he was the one who gave her the news. The biggest news of her life.... He showed her light when her life was engulfed in darkness and she was thankful to him.... So thankful!

“Yes, it’s true... Now go!” he then left her hand with a heavy heart and squeezed her shoulders, confirming her elated heart once again, encouraging her to meet her father, matching her genuine smile with his fake one, coming out as painful frown.

How could he smile when his heart was overflowing with pain ? How could he smile when he knew his life was going away from him ? How could he----

Mariyam was about to leave but halted her steps watching his painful look and held his hand with a frown, breaking him out of his trance and look at her green orbs filled with concern towards him. “Aap theek hai ?”

(Are you okay ?)

She didn’t knew why she was questioning him. Heck! she didn't even knew why she stopped, when her Abba was standing in front of her...

Why was she bothered about whether Musa Kirmani, was fine or not ? Why was his uneasiness bothering her so much ?

Maybe because his eyes were emitting sadness that she wasn’t able to overlook. Her heart wasn’t letting her leave knowing Musa Kirmani was sad. But why was he sad ? Wasn't he happy she was going away from him ? Wasn't he happy seeing her Abba ? He was finally getting rid of her, then why was he sad ?

He wants your forgiveness Mariyam. Wo shayad isiliye ghamgeen hai kyuki abhi tak tumne unhe maaf nahi kiya hai.

It finally clicked and she bit her lip, contemplating what to do, when Musa answered her, pulling his hand off her hold, answering her coldly. “Mera theek hona, na hona mayne nahi rakhta Mariyam... You just go and meet your father.”

( It doesn't matter if I am okay or not.)

It had to be done. It was important. He knew he won’t be able to let her go if she stops.... even for a second. It was already difficult for him to see her father waiting for her. His heart wasn't able to bear pain and thus to save himself from more hurt he asked her to leave, turning his face to the side, not sparing her any glance.

It would have been a lie if Mariyam would have said that didn't hurt because it did, it pricked her heart.... Watching him behave distant again made her feel sad. Here she thought they have conquered their dislike towards each other, but Musa Kirmani being the stubborn man was still on the same page of hating her.

Did she repelled him so much that he wasn't even looking at her ? Her eyes welled up and she took a deep defeated sigh, watching him. Some things never change and guess what ? Musa kirmani’s hate for her would never change.

Aware of her piercing gaze Musa looked up and took the final step.... He lightly pushed her away from him with trembling hands, whispering her to leave, maintaining his stoic cold face.

It is for her own happiness Musa. Do it!!

“Go... janam.” the last word he wasn't able to speak up loud, pain blocking away everything as sadness loomed over him, watching her giving up with a painful sob and turn around to leave.

She gave up!

God! How much he wanted to stop her and hold her tightly so that she won't be able to leave. How much he wanted to kiss those big emeralds of her's which were spewing tears on his harshness....

But he didn't stopped her and she left.

She left like a speeding wind, not even turning to glance back at his weakened form which breaking at sight of her departure.

“Abba---” forgetting everything Mariyam dashed towards her father like a free bird, as tears of happiness strolled down her face. Her screams pulled everyone's attention, as they were anxiously waiting for her arrival. Everyone except amma bi, zara Kirmani and Zareen were present in the living hall and with bated breaths they watched everything.

Her cousin Asfandyar, who was accompanying her during the shopping found her picture with Musa on social media and quickly rushed to his residence with her father, telling about her whereabouts.

He didn't had the time to inform him about her marriage as it was something personal and he didn't wanted to reveal something to him. It was Mariyam's right, not his. Although he was sure his aunt aka Mariyam's mother would have got the news of her nikaah by now, courtesy of his sister's who were Musa's die hard fans....he still maintained his silence over the topic, happy that they finally found Mariyam.

His gaze first fell over Mariyam who was running down blindly, followed by Musa Kirmani who was watching her each step like a hawk.

His presence was magical, just like his appearance over the big screen but in addition he had that dangerous aura around him, which intimidated him to no ends.

A small smile made its way to Asfandyar’s lips when he noticed the same intimidating man worry for Mariyam. His eyes were laced with worry as if he was afraid that she would fall----

“Araam se!”Ahh!! She indeed was about to slip but thank god he held her waist on time, saving her from falling down.

(Be careful.)

“I-i am so s-sorry for....that d-day M-mariyam....” passing her a guilty look he took the opportunity and  apologized her for that day but Mariyam jerked his hands and ignored him, continuing her steps towards her father, relaxing Musa who was raging, his nostrils flaring up, ready to beat the little guy, for touching his wife.

How dare he touch her waist ?! It belonged to him! She belonged to him, wholely!! She was his.... Mrs. Mariyam Musa kirmani! His wife!!

Standing one hand distance from her father, Mariyam whimpered as she took in his presence. He had bags under his eyes, his beard was grown, and it looked like he lost his weight.

Oh how much torment her poor abba went through in her absence!!

And now too she was making him wait.... Her poor abba was watching her like she was some kind of a dream, he had that anxious look over her face like he would blink and she would disappear.

Slowly living his dream he walked forward and pulled his daughter into his arms, his heart finding it's peace. Sobs wrecked both of their forms and everyone watched the union of father daughter duo with teary eyes.

Musa too smiled wiping the lone tear from the corner of his eye. Even when his heart was in pain, it was surrounded with strange peace watching his wife happy.

“A-abba... A-aap m-main--” she wasn't able to speak anything, it was like every word, every syllable flew out of her dictionary as soon as she found herself in her father's arms.  The long speech she had decided to deliver was long forgotten, and even the fear of meeting her father didn't mattered. All she had was her peace. The peace being in her Abba’s arms couldn't be traded for anything.

(You... I..)

Few seconds passed as she felt her father pulling away making her whimper from the loss of his contact. Her father chuckled as he wiped his tears from the back of his hand, cupping her cheeks, feeling her smooth skin under his fingers.  “Mariyam! Mera bacha! Meri jaan! Mere jigar ka tukda...” caressing her cheeks, he kissed her tear stained face, engulfing his baby girl in a tight hug once again.

“Kaha chali gayi thi meri gudiya ? Abba ki jaan nikal gayi thi apke bina... A-aur aapki ammi ne to ro ro ke apna bura haal kar rakha--” he blabbered, kissing her temples repeatedly, snuggling her more into his warmth, with teary eyes. He was so thanks to his lord for uniting him with his daughter, his jigar ka tukda.

(Where were you my doll ? Your father nearly died without you. And your mother she was a sobbing mess in your absence.)

“---I missed you so much Abba! I am so sorry for troubling you!” her voice came out muffled as she was busy inhaling the musk scent of her Abba, trying to calm down the tremors, reliving every bad memory in his absence.

“Main bahut dar gayi thi! Us d-din...wo a-aadmi mere p-peeche---” she stuttered, voicing out the happening of the terrible day crying like a child who was unable to complete her sentence, tears spewing out of her eyes, making her father rub her back in anxiety.

(I was so scared. That man was after me--)

He was so sorry to his angel. His poor, innocent girl went through so much... Only if he had been there for her. He would had protected her with his life... But he didn't and failed as a father! He failed to protect his baby!

“Mari--” Junaid Khan wasn't even able to start when he heard a snobby voice directed towards his daughter.“Itne aasu bahane ki zaroorat nahi hai ladki. Musa ne tumhe bacha to liya tha na?! Shukar karo---” His fingers clenched into tight fists hearing the same women spewing hate against his daughter but he was tongue tied. The family had protected his daughter when he wasn't there for her, and even when he wanted to shut her up he wasn't able to say anything....

(You don't have to cry so much girl. Musa saved you! Thank--)

Ignoring her harsh words, he concentrated towards his daughter who had now smuggled more inside his chest, whimpering at the woman's words.

“Alhamdhulillah! Bhai saved her but there won't be anyone to save you if you don't stop talking chachi! The looks bhaai is giving you, should be enough to shut you up!” unable to ignore her words like Mariyam's father, Kabir glared at Shireen chachi and held her arm, scowling at her to stop her nonsense, blackmailing her with Musa’s name, who was indeed digging glares upon her for traumatising his wife, seeing her tremble in her father's arms.

They couldn't believe Shireen chachi’s insensitivity but then the woman crossed her limit each and every time she got chance, so that was nothing new from her side.

They won't be any surprise if she was ready to spit some more venom of her’s---

“P-par--” just like expected she again tried to speak and defend herself but Kabir was quick to shut her just like last time, this time raising his tone, clenching his jaw at her shamelessness. “Can’t you see how much emotional she is right now chachi ?! For god’s sake spare her!” he was so irritated with her and so wanted to push her out and lock her inside her room, Forever!

(But--)

She was really testing his patience.

Samaira, who was standing beside Kabir squeezed his shoulder, winking at him as to signalling him to handle the situation, scaring the daylights out of Shireen chachi, reminding her of Musa’s anger.

“Sahi keh rahe hai Kabir bhaai. Aapki beti ke haath to bhaai ne ab waise bhi nahi lagna, par haan jo aap ye extra harkatein karke bhabhi ko pareshan kar rahi hai, isse bhaai ka paara chadh zaroor jaega aur phir---” watching Shireen chachi tremble Samaira smirked, meeting eyes with Kabir who was rolling his eyes at his so called chachi.

(Kabir bhaai is right. Your daughter won’t be getting Musa bhaai either way, but yes, you really would get some action in your life from bhaai’s side as you are troubling his wife and--)

Such a scardy cat she was!!

You are such a hypocrite Kabir! Musa bhaai ke gusse se to tumahare bhi hosh ud jaate hai. Bheegi billi--- oops bheege bille to tum bhi ho!!

“Acha acha theek hai....” Shireen nodded meekly, shivering inwardly, mumbling few praises in Kabir's and Samaira’s praise, making them raise their eyes feeling offended. “In dono bhaai behno ki zubaan keechi ki tarah chalti hai!”

(This brother sister duo speeks too much--)

Looks like she wanted more of Musa’s terror to shut her up!

“Kuch bola aapne chachi--” Samaira smiled widely ready to scream at her but Kabir was quick to shut her up, watching the sensitivity of the situation and turned her face towards the father-daughter duo, who were crying in each other’s embrace.

(Did you said something chachi--)

“Shhh! Meri jaan bas! Aapko ghabrane ki zaroorat nahi hai! Abba aa gaye hai na ? I will not leave you alone now! Chalo shaabash ab chup ho jao.” Junaid Khan was trying all his efforts to calm his daughter, but she was shivering so badly, clutching onto him in a vice grip, not ready to let it lose. Her tears were another story! They were unstoppable seeming to behave just like a river, flowing endlessly.

(Shhh! Stop crying, my life. You don't have to worry now! Your father is here....Be a good girl and stop crying now.)

“I-i--”

“Do you want your mama to see you like this ? Your Leila jaan will cry so much after watching her apiya. You don't want that. Right ?” caressing her back her father cooed, wiping her tears for the umpteenth time, watching his brave daughter shook her head negatively just like a toddler, with a cute pout on her face. “No.” Musa who was watching her from afar chuckled with her father, witnessing her childish form.

His wife was so cute, just like a kitten!!

“Phir chup ho jayein, Abba ki jaan and show him your beautiful smile. I missed it so much!” tweaking her red nose, Junaid Khan ruffled her hair lovingly, watching her smile eagerly, wiping her tears hastily, adhering to his wish.

(Then stop crying.)

“Meri choti si billi...” chuckling at her antics Junaid Khan smiled and kissed her forehead, calling her with his favourite nickname, watching her pout in annoyance for using that nickname.

(My cute little kitten.)

Musa chuckled hearing her father call her kitten. They both shared same opinions. She was indeed a cute kitten, with green eyes!

“Now tell me who is Musa here ?” keeping Mariyam in his calming embrace, her father questioned her, draining color off her face. Her breath hitched along with Musa, who gasped hearing her father.

Did he knew about them ?

About their marriage ?

“...A-abba...” a soft sob escaped out of her lips, fretting about him abandoning her.... The old fear surged inside her heart once again as she looked at her father going insane about the possibility--

No!! It wasn't possible! She wasn't ready to lose her father! How could she lose him when she had met him after so long--

“Aap itna kyu ghabra rahi hai ?! I just want to thank him.” breaking her out of her thoughts, her father squeezed her shivering hand and answered her, raising his eyebrows at her wierd behaviour but let it go feeling she was traumatized and needed comfort... But then he saw her fear fly away with his answer, and she turned back to normal like someone breathed life into her.

(Why are you fretting so much ?)

Mariyam thanked god he did not knew anything! She couldn't imagine how she would had met her eyes with him, for letting him down in the worst possible way.

“Mariyam--” Junaid Khan raised his eyebrows at his daughter, telling her that he was waiting for her answer.

“..H-him...” feeling precipitation loom over her forehead, Mariyam bit her lip as she nervously pointed her forefinger towards Musa, watching her father nodding at her and walk towards Musa, releasing her from his embrace.

She felt scared!

Scared of Musa's confessing their truth to her father and thus pleaded him with her eyes not to tell him anything. This was something she wanted to do herself.... She knew even if the marriage was forced, she was indeed Musa’s wife and not telling her father about her marriage would hurt him so much. It would break him, it would wreck him. It was the biggest truth of her life and she wanted no secrets with her father, wanting to tell him everything as soon as possible, but for that she needed some time, to prepare herself mentally.

“Thank you so much for helping my daughter and giving her a roof over her head to stay..... I don't have enough words to thank you. Aapko nahi pata aapne mujhpe kitna bada ehsaan kiya hai. Main chaahu to zindagi bhar bhi is ehsaan ko chuka nahi sakta--” Junaid Khan pulled Musa into a manly hug and patted his back smiling at him in gratitude.

He really was thankful to the young man for saving his daughter, not knowing the harsh reality behind it. He was thankful to Musa for being with her daughter as her shield, when there was no one to protect her.

The young man was an angel sent from heaven to rescue his innocent doll.

“You don't have to thank me uncle! Main aap par ya Mariyam par koi ehsaan nahi kiya hai. Ye to mera--” Musa didn't like the way her father was thanking him, he was looking at him like he was sort of some superhero, when he was actually the opposite.... He was such a bad guy! Yes, he saved Mariyam but he tortured her enough to leave bad memories to last for a lifetime. He didn't deserved any appreciation or anything....

“You did beta. Aaj apni bachi ko sahi salamat dekh kar, in das dino mein mere dil ko pehli baar itna sukoon mehsoos hua hai... I used to have sleepless nights in her worry. Ek to paraya mulk, paraye log aur uppar se meri bachi itni masoom! Wo to khuda ka khair tha aap use mil gaye warna---” Junaid Khan exclaimed with a horrified look, his soul churning at the thought of the consequences if Musa had not found her. Musa understood his point and rubbed his back, knowing he needed consolation.

“Aaj sirf aur sirf aapki wajah se meri bachi theek hai, mere aakhon ke saamne hai! All because of you! Meri gudiya ki hifazat karne ke liye aapka bahut bahut shukriya!”Smiling at Musa's gesture Junaid Khan folded his hands in front of Musa, grateful for his gesture, watching his daughter shook her head, not liking the way he was submitting to Musa, baring his emotions like a vulnerable man.

“Uncle...I-i---” gasping at Junaid Khan's gesture Musa quickly held his hand, feeling embarassed but he easily waved him off, chuckling at his red face and patted him back, telling him he would understand it when he himself would become a father.

“You won't understand it now, my child! Jab khud ki beti hogi tab ehsaas hoga meri in baton---” he wasn't even able to complete his sentence when he heard a loud voice vibrate inside the living room, halting his actions all together.“Junaid!”

The voice was so familiar. So known!!

He very well knew who it was.

It was the woman he hated the most! The woman who let him down, betrayed him and his family at their worst.

And she was none other than Zara Kirmani!

Taking a good nap, Zara Kirmani was  walking downstairs to go for walk, but instead she was graced with the biggest shock of her life...Tears polled in her eyes and she rushed downstairs with her wobbling feet, shocking everyone by calling Mariyam's father with his name. “JUNAID!”

Her children, along with her sister-in-law was shocked as to how she knew him, but she ignored all of their wierd glances and engulfed him in a bear hug.

She sobbed and cried happily on his chest as she held onto him. Mariyam and Musa who were standing beside them gasped watching her hold Junaid  khan, who was being a statue in her arms.

Closing his eyes he cherished her warmth and opened his arms to hold her properly, but the next second past flashed infront of his eyes and he stopped, clenching his fists for being such a fool.

“I am sorry. You're mistaking me for someone else ma'am.” with a jerk Junaid pulled her away from himself, denying to recognise her, his own heart heaving, churning with his own statement.

He was lying!

He knew he was... She was one of the most important woman of his life... Well she was! But not anymore. He broke all his ties with her. She was no one to him now.

No one!

“I AM NOT A FOOL WHO WOULD FAIL TO RECOGNISE HER OWN LITTLE BROTHER!” hurt with his statement, Zara Kirmani screamed as she hit his chest hard, making everyone gasp in shock at her revelation.

Recovering his shock, Musa faintly smiled as he remembered his uncle, who pampered him so much when he was a little kid.... But then one day everything changed--

Wait!!! Mariyam's father was his uncle so did that meant that she was his cousin?! Ofcourse she was.... And now he was feeling more guilty if that even possible.

Kabir, Samaira too recognised their uncle from the tales thier mother told them and cried sadly at their broken relation. They knew how one misunderstanding caused their relation to break. They knew how the best brother-sister duo got separated.

Their mother suffered so much! They knew how much she craved for her family each day, especially her brother, Junaid. They knew how much she cried remembering him and how sorry she was for betraying him by mistake....

She loved him so much! He was her first baby... And his memories pained her, made her remember him to the extent that she built her personal white rose garden at the backyard of their mansion. It was in his memory, he loved white roses and she loved him; her baby brother.

“I. AM. NOT! Mera aapse koi waasta nahi hai.” answering her in a cold tone Junaid replied, not daring to look inside his sister's eyes, knowing hell would break lose if he did, and thus grabbed his shocked daughter's hand, ready to leave.

(I don't recognise you.)

“Chalo Mariyam beta!” he couldn't nare himself under her roof anymore. It was too much!

(Let's leave.)

“Abba---She...” blowed with the new information Mariyam gaped as she  looked between her father and aunt, trying hard to understand the dynamics between the two....

Her father seemed so angry and hurt her aunt on the other side looked so guilty. She didn't knew what happened between them, that her father was failing to recognise his own sister but she knew one thing.... She knew the reason her father was avoiding to come to Pakistan.

It was all because of Zara Kirmani. Her aunt!

“SHE IS NO ONE. SAMJHI AAP ?!” Junaid Khan roared, clasping her shoulder in a tight grip, hurting her.
Musa didn't like the way his uncle hurt his wife but never said anything knowing he did worst and Mariyam would not be wanting him to interfere between her father and her.

(Do you understand ?)

Junaid Khan on the other hand felt guilty for treating his daughter harshly but he didn't wanted his daughter to ask him about anything related to Zara Kirmani! He absolutely abhorred that lady.

“O-okay...” Mariyam jumped in fear, when her father's fingers came into contact with her cheeks, silently apologizing for his behaviour, watching her nodding her head meekly not wanting to disturb her father. She could see how much his sister's presence was disturbing him.

“Asfandyar! beta gaadi nikaalo...” ordering Asfandyar with a heavy voice Junaid Khan took a few steps back, meeting gaze with his sister, giving her a hateful look, watching her whimper, pleading him to stop.

(Bring your car.)

His words alerted the siblings duo, along with Harris who gasped in horror, not wanting their bhabhi or uncle to leave.

How much they wished amma bi was here. Maybe she would had controlled the situation.

“Ji khalu.” Nodding his head, Asfandyar quickly moved towards the exit of the mansion, giving a quick look to a trembling Mariyam and a raging Junaid Khan who was clenching his jaw in rage, following him back with heavy steps.

(Okay.)

Musa moved towards her father with quick steps, ready to stop him but someone else beat him to it....

It was his own mother Zara Kirmani!

Her eyes, they were emitting rage but she was calm, unlike her stromy eyes. She completely transformed into a different woman she was few moments ago.

She looked like a woman on mission! The woman who was ready to stop her long lost brother and her niece, who was also her daughter-in-law.

“You can't take her Junaid! Wo kahi nahi jaegi!!” standing in front of her brother Zara Kirmani, spoke calmly in an authoritative tone, showing her palm to her brother, who automatically stopped at once, adhering to his old habit of hearing to every of his older sister’s commands.

(She is not going anywhere.)

Realising his folly the other second Junaid Khan glared at his sister, as he cursed himself for stopping for her.

Kya kar rahe ho Junaid ?! Bhool gaye kya kiya tha inhone. How could you forget everything so easily ? She is Zara Kirmani now. Ab wo tumhari behen nahi hai.

“What do you mean ? Meri beti hai wo!” pulling his daughter behind him, he questioned harshly, watching his sister flinch at his rough tone.

(She is my daughter.)

Her flinching got Musa alert as he quickly moved towards his mother and held her shoulder protectively, watching her eyes fill with tears.

He didn’t said anything to his uncle but he stood by his mother, knowing how much painful it was for her. Junaid Khan was surprised with his nephew’s actions.

He knew how much of a possessive  this man was as a child, and knowing his past self he was sure he would insult him for insulting his mother but he didn't....

Surely this boy was a gem and knew well on how to respect elders.

But you shouldn't be concerned about any of them Junaid. Just take your daughter and leave!!

Zara Kirmani had another plans and they didn't included what he was thinking and thus she put a stop on them by announcing Mariyam as her daughter-in-law as she pulled her from his hold, giving him the biggest shock of his life.

“MERI BAHU HAI MARIYAM! MERE MUSA KI DUHAN, AND SHE IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE, NEITHER ARE YOU!!”

(She is my daughter-in-law. My Musa's bride.)
