I quickly jumped up from my bed, as I was still staring at the screen of my phone in pure terror. Where is he? What did he needed help from me for? How is he? I don’t even know his location! Why didn’t I see this message before? I am so stupid! I just hope he is safe!

I ran out of my motel room and started banging the door of Justin’s room like a mad maniac until he opened up looking irritated yet worried.

"J-Justin….J-Jake… help…Jake….danger…."

I mumbled as I was trying to control the flow of my tears.

"Ma’am, please calm down! What happened?"

He said while pulling me in his room as other people were starting to come out from their rooms on the scene. I just showed him the Message I had received from Jake, still unable to properly form sentences. Just the thought of Jake being in danger, was enough to completely crush my heart.

Justin handed me a glass of water, still trying to calm me down.

"This is my fault! I should have seen this message earlier!"

"Ma’am, unless you calm down, we won’t be able to help him… You need to calm down in order to think straight."

I drank the cold water, took some heavy breaths, wiped the damn tears who had escaped from my eyes even though I didn’t allow them to, then looked at the time of the message.

"12:07 a.m. ……. Around the time we had left the Aurora…"

" What could he possibly needed help from you with?"

"I wish I knew!"

I messaged Jake over a 20 messages, asking him whether he was alright, begging him to reply to me…. But no success…

"Something is weird…" I observed.

"What? What do you mean, ma’am?"

"It’s showing that the messages have been read and he is online!"

"If it had been Jake who read these messages, then he would have surely replied?"

"I think so, yes."

"Does that mean that… someone else is reading the messages? Is he caught? But by who?"

"I don’t know…I don’t know anything! I am so worried! I can’t think of anything at the moment!" I cried in frustration as my mind had completely shut itself down.

"Maybe we should try to track his location?" Justin suggested.

"Do you think it’s that easy?? Jake is a hacker, for crying out loud! Its way difficult to track his location given the fact that he must have probably installed a number of encryptions as he was hiding from the government damnit!"

"But you know how to hack too. We should definitely try to track his location."

As I couldn’t think of anything else and my damn brain decided to shut itself and the only thing I was capable to do at the moment was cry and be worried, I followed Justin’s advice.

I sprinted back into my motel room, Justin followed behind. I opened my laptop and got to work. I knew it would be hard but I had to do it!

"Do you think he would have been caught?" Justin asked.

"By who?? His case is under my control! There’s no way the police or the government would have caught him without informing me anything!"

"What if the agent who was handling Jake’s case before you found him?"

"That’s no way in hell possible! THIS IS MY CASE NOW! ONLY I CAN TAKE ACTIONS ON IT! THAT DAMN AGENT COULD LOOSE HIS DAMN JOB IF HE DID THAT!"

I had not been this angry and distressed in a long time. Whatever spell Jake had caused on me, it was way beyond my control now. I felt like I was the one in danger! I was the one running from the government, from the world! I hadn’t even ever seen his face! How is it that I fell for someone this deep who I have never even met?!

Finally! It took me a whole damn 2 hours and 39 minutes!

"I did it, I did it, I did it!" I cheered.

"I knew you would be able to do it. But where is his location, ma’am?"

I took a long pause, trying to believe this fact myself that Jake's location was

"near b-bar Aurora…."

"What?" Justin asked in shock.

"His location is… near bar Aurora…."
