Its been a few days since the Vytal Ball and Black, along with all of Team RWBY, minus Ruby who was updating Ozpin and Ironwood of the situation she found herself in at the ball, were in their dorm relaxing.

"Hey. You guys Wonder why our classes have stopped again?" Black asked the group of people around him while laying down on one of the unused beds.

"I heard it was about some kind of assemble and some big thing that was going on." Weiss told him from her bunk.

"Well it better be enjoyable, I've never been so bored." Black told her.

After a few minutes Ruby came in.

"So how'd it go?" Black  looked at Ruby without moving so his head was upside down.

"Well, Ozpin knows about the White Fang's guys base in the south east." Ruby told him.

Black twisted and sat up "The base where now?"

"The base in the south east? Oh right, we never told you did we?" Blake asked him.

"Oh come on, we could have been out there kicking white fang buts and you girls never told me? The disappointment." Black told them shaking his head.

"Sorry." Ruby offered.

"Hey Rubes, we got a package from dad." Yang told her before grabbing a cylindrical package from the desk I'm the room.

"OOOOHHHH ITS A GIFT!" Ruby shouted before shooting towards Yang and wrapping herself around the arm that was holding it.

"Well open it up, I need something to take some of the boredom away." Black told the sisters.

Yang opened up the package and a ball of black, white, and grey fell out.

Two ears on the sides of its head popped up and it unrolled into a tiny dog.

The two sisters screamed when they saw it.

"ZWEI!!!!" The dog hopped up on its tiny legs and barked.

"Is that a dog?!" Black asked.

"Did your father ship it through the mail?!" Weiss asked them.

"Yeah, dad sends stuff like this all the time." Yang told her while Ruby scooped up the dog and held him like a baby.

A note floated out of the package.

"Oh look a note." Yang said.

She grabbed it and then told Ruby what it said.

"Dad went on a mission and needs us to look after Zwei."

Black got up and looked at the dog.

It woofed at him.

"So, you mean to tell me that this little-" in the middle of her sentence the dog rolled and looked at her from Ruby's arms with his tongue hanging from his mouth.

This alone changed Weiss's entire sentence.
"- is going to live with us forever! Yes he is!"

"Don't let in near me or my things." Blake said.

Black looked up towards her voice to see her at the top of one of the bunks curled into a ball.

Zwei jumped down and ran up to the base of the bed and barked a couple of times at her.

Then the intercom came on.
"Will all first year students participating in the Vytal Tournament please report to the assembly hall."

"But, how are we gonna feed him?" Ruby asked her sister.

Yang picked up their father's package and shook it.

Zwei ran back to her side just in time to be buried under a pile of dog food.

A can opener fell out and landed on the top.

"Problem solved, let's go." Yang told them and started to leave followed by the rest of her team except for Ruby who just looked at the now exposed Zwei.

Black walked out and saw Vegeta standing in the corner propped against the wall. Vegeta was starring right at him.

"Hey girls why don't you go on ahead. I'll be right there." Black told them.

"Alright, you better catch up later." Yang told him.

"I will, now get going don't be late like me." Black told her before walking over to Vegeta.

"Come on, we need to talk." Vegeta told him.

"About what?" Black asked him.

Vegeta pushed off the wall and started to walk away.

"Him." Was Vegeta's only reply.

Black frowned before following Vegeta.

After a while they were outside on the roof of the school.

"Alright, so I'm assuming you sensed him?" Black asked Vegeta.

"Yes, it was small but I don't need much I remember his stench on me. It was south east of here. I'm pretty sure your teammates said they found out about a base up there." Vegeta told him.

"Yes they did, you don't this m that they teamed up do you?" Black asked.

"I don't care if they have or not. If Baby has already taken them over or if he has joined up with them makes no difference to me, I'll annihilate them all at the same time." Vegeta told Black.

"Well knowing my team, they're already finding a way there. You can tag along and we can fight him then. If I can beat him senseless while he was merged with you, then both of us should be to more than a match for him." Black smirked.

"What, you thought I was going to fight him with you? No, he's mine, you can protect your teammates if you so wish, but Baby is my fight." Vegeta told Black.

Black sighed "We can discuss this later, I'd rather find him first before we can into an argument about how to beat him."

"Agreed. Alright let's go find your team." Vegeta told Black.

Black turned around and motioned towards his shoulder.

Vegeta grabbed his shoulder while Black searched for his teams energies.

When he locked on they instant transmissioned to them.

They appeared right behind them.

They were looking at a board labeled South east Vale missions.

"Told you they would already be looking for it." Black told Vegeta.

Vegeta scoffed quickly crossing his arms and stepping to the side of Black.

"Hey Black, nice timing were looking for a mission in the south east." Weiss told him.

"Right, how about the one labeled search and destroy?" Black offered getting closer to the screen.

"Sounds like a hood time to me." Vegeta told them.

"Oh are you going to be our shadow?" Ruby asked him.

"What do you mean by that?" Vegeta looked at the girl strangely.

"Were all going on missions with a huntsmen, were support to shadow them." Blake told him.

"No, I am merely going along for the ride." Vegeta told her.

Their attention was drawn by the ding of the mission board.

It said in red letters unavailable to first year students.

"Ahhhh!" Black pulled at his hair. "I wanna blow stuff up I've been bored all day!"

"And why is it that I'm not surprised you five have found your way to the south east?" Ozpin asked them coming around the side of them.

Ruby laughed nervously.

"How you five found yourselves fighting a paladin under a highway and found out about a secret white fang base are a few questions I liked answered." He said to them.

They all got kind of nervous, except for Black who was still starring at the monitor.

"These are questions I'm sure I'll never have the answer to, but I do know is that you five no matter where I send you will find your way there."

The whole group lighten and Black looked over to Ozpin.

"So instead of breaking the rules, why don't we just bend them a little instead." He pushed a button on a tablet he was holding and the search and destroy mission rebooted and assigned team RWBY to it.

"And I trust that Professor Vegeta will keep you five in line." Ozpin smiled at the group.

Behind the Vegeta cracked his knuckles "It'll be my pleasure."

Black smirked and Team RWBY was suddenly worried about their new tag along.

-At the heliport-

Team RWBY, Black, and Vegeta were walking towards their bullhead when a familiar person stood in front of them.

"Hello, students." Doctor Oobleck announced his presence to them.

"Professor Oobleck?" Weiss questioned.

"It appears that I am your shadow for this mission, which has now turned into a simple scouting-" Oobleck then got really close to Weiss's face.

"-And its Doctor, I didn't earn the Ph.D for fun."

He then shot back to where he was standing.

"You may leave your packs here, I've already packed all the essentials onto our bulkhead. Now come along we are already two minutes behind schedule." He told them and shot off towards the Bulkhead.

As all the girls except for Ruby took off their packs Black and Vegeta made their way to the bulkhead.

Doctor Oobleck finally noticed Vegeta "Oh Professor Vegeta, are you also coming along?"

"Yeah, Ozpin told me that this mission may require an extra hand. But I'm more or less just here to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid." Vegeta told him motioning towards Black.

"Ha ha, Vegeta so very funny. Where is the place we're going anyway?" Black asked Oobleck.

"A very old landmark called Mountain Glenn. I'll explain in more dept on the way there." Oobleck told them.

Black nodded.

"Hey you kids, let's get going!" Vegeta called out towards team RWBY.

"Yes we are five minutes behind schedule!" Oobleck added.

After a dew minutes they were in the air, Black and Vegeta opted to save energy for the fight they believed was coming and for the story of Mt. Glenn.

"So Mt. Glenn, what is it?" Black asked Oobleck.

Oobleck sighed "A failed attempt at a safe haven."

"Didn't a bunch of people build a city on and inside the mountain.?" Blake asked.

"It was more than a city, it was support to be a symbol like the four schools. A mountain of achievement if you would. You see, a large underground railway was supposed to connect the entire kingdom together, it even leads under Vale, but you all know how something like that gets stopped."

"Grimm." Ruby answered.

"Yes, the mountain was infested with them, a nest for them in fact. It has staid in  ruins ever since."

Black looked out the window to see the massive Mountain.

"Vegeta we need to suppress our ki. I would hate for Baby to be alerted before were here." Black whispered to him.

Vegeta nodded and began to suppress his ki.

"We are almost there, it is imperative that you all do exactly as Myself and Professor Vegeta say, alright?" Oobleck told them.

They all nodded.

Soon enough they landed in the ruins of the city and they all got out.

Oobleck then noticed Ruby's Bag.

"Miss Rose, I thought I told you all to keep your bags at Beacon?" Oobleck asked her.

Ruby nervously tried to excuse herself.

"Well you hadn't told us to listen to you yet, so I didn't." Ruby chuckled.

"She has a good point." Vegeta said.

"Alright Miss Rose, please leave your bag here and we will collect it later."

"But I-" she tried to argue.

"What could be so important that is I'm that bag?"

Then Zweis head popped out the side of the bag and he barked.

"Get back inside the bag...." Ruby whispered to Zwei.

"We are on an important scouting and excavation mission and you brought a dog?" Oobleck asked her.

"Well I-"

"BRILLIANT!"

As soon as Oobleck said that Black and Vegeta sweat dropped in shock.

Oobleck picked up Zwei and started spinning in circles with him.

"DOGS ARE WONDERFUL TRACKERS WITH KEEN SENSES AND HE WILL BE UTMOST HELPFUL IN OUR ENDEAVORS!" Oobleck said quickly and excited.

"What the hell is he on?" Vegeta asked himself quietly.

"Uh hate to rain on your parade but shouldn't we get going?" Black asked him.

Oobleck looked over at Black and then dropped Zwei before nodding and adjusting his glasses.

"Your right.........Grimm."

"What?" Yang asked him.

"Grimm, a creature of Grimm is 100 yards in front of us."

They all turned and saw one Beowulf walking across the road.

They four girls got ready to attack but Oobleck stopped them.

"Wait, one Grimm can lead us to the entire pack."

"And how long could that take?" Blake asked.

"Grimm can stay separated for hours, days weeks, and there's the whole pack." Oobleck told them.

And they looked back again and a horde of Beowulves came out from behind a building.

One turned and looked at them before growling.

"And now they've seen us." Oobleck told them.

"What?!" Yang yelled.

"AND NOW THEY'VE SEEN US!" Oobleck yelled back.

"Team RWBY, show me what you can do." He ordered them.

Team RWBY took off and started to slay the Grimm one by one.

Black grinned and was about to join in but Oobleck stopped him.

"Mr. Black, why don't you let them take on these Grimm. After all they need the practice, and you need to learn restraint." Oobleck told him.

Black looked at him then the Grimm then back at him before dropping his head in a sigh.

"Why don't you two find that Baby person Ozpin informed me of." Oobleck told them.

Vegeta and Black shot up "You know about him?" They asked him unison.

"Ozpin thought it would be vital if I knew what we could be facing. I'll keep an eye on Team RWBY, you two find him and when you do fire this." Oobleck told them while handing Vegeta a flare gun.

"It will alert me to your position in case your scrolls are damaged or receive no signal." Oobleck finished.

"Right. Thank you Doctor." Black told him.

Oobleck smiled and nodded.

"Alright, let's go." Vegeta told him and took of over the city and towards the center of the mountain.

Black looked at Oobleck "Keep them safe."

"Of course, its my job." Oobleck told him proudly.

Black smiled and took off after Vegeta.

'Ready or not Baby, here we come.'
