「c h a p t e r - t h i r t e e n」

i need you

Today, I visit (Y/n) in the hospital.

I convinced Natsuya that I can go by myself and he said it was fine. I also stopped at a store to get a charm and finally found one.

I approached the front desk and asked for (L/n) (Y/n).

"And who might you be?" the lady asked.

"U-uh, I'm Kirishima Ikuya, (Y/n)'s... classmate," I told her.

She smiled and said, "Room 110."

I felt anxious as I ran to the room. I was told to slow down by a nurse but I couldn't. I couldn't help not wanting to see (Y/n).

I walked into the dimly lit room. I seen Aoki, (Y/n)'s older brother. He was holding her hand and his face looked stained with tears.

"I-Excuse me," I said, I felt uncomfortable.

Aoki looked up towards me being by the door. He looked at (Y/n) again and began talking.

"(Y/n) has Traumatic Brain Injury. We don't know for sure but we think she has mild TBI. Because of the bleeding." Aoki cringed at whatever he was thinking. "The blood was... terrible." He started crying. "I can't lose my sister!"

I stood there because I didn't know what to do. "H-hey, it's okay," I tried telling him and he calmed down.

"The doctor said when she wakes up, they're going to do some small tests. I just hope she does wake up," Aoki said with sadness filling his voice. Then he looked up at me. "Uh, do I know you?"

Oh, now he asks.

"I'm a... friend of (Y/n)... I'm Ikuya. Kirishima Ikuya," I told him.

"You are? (Y/n) talked about you. She really likes you, I can see why," Aoki said trying to smile a bit.

"She does...? Well"--I took out the charm and put it on the nightstand next to (Y/n)--"this is for her."

"Thank you, Kirishima. I'll be back real quick. Can you watch over (Y/n)?"

I nodded. He got up from his chair and walked to the door, stepping out. Before he left he gave me a smile.

I looked at (Y/n)'s face. There were bandages on her face. A big one taped her her forehead and one wrapped around her head. She had a (f/c) cast on her (dominant hand) arm. Her face was peaceful and still. More than ever, I wanted to see her smile and I wanted her to talk to me, to bug me. But not in this state. I took (L/n) (Y/n) for granted.

Wow! Three chapters in one day!
I planned on making a book two and end it here but I couldn't possibly do that.

Anyway, the next "chapter" explains what TBI is.
I would really appreciate it if you read a little bit of it.

Honestly I didn't plan for this story to be like this. I even had no idea what was gonna happen, to be honest. I didn't really think I would continue it, let alone think of finishing it.
But this is how the story is going and I'm glad for the people who are still reading from the prologue if you are one of them please comment your name. First two to comment and vote (has to be both) get to have a their own one-shot with their ideas in THIS STORY. And I'll go follow you and put you in my bio. It's a steal!!!!
(Please don't say you did and go vote on every chapter after, that's not how it works, hahaha. If you don't understand please tell me)

Thanks!!
