The night was something she never had the chance to truly experience. Falling asleep the moment the sun disappeared from the sky in layers of warm blankets and a mound full of pillows.

Never allowing her to feel the night air on her skin. Hear the sounds that only happened in the dark.

And see all that had to offer.

"Leave me alone."

Ever since the sun had started to set, she was followed by the nightly insects. At first, not being too much of an issue as she helped clean up the mess from training.

But within ten minutes she was fending off swarms of pesky biting insects from her skin.

Her only defense being the two fox kits who tried catching mouthfuls of them.

"I guess even she has limits when it comes to nature." Aizawa muttered, watching as she ran pass him. Mandalay came to stand beside him. "Aguni. Quit playing around and finish putting up the equipment."

"That's easy for you to say. You're not being chased like a prized pig due for the slaughter." [Y/n] swatted away another mosquito. The tattoos on her skin took on a soft glow. Citronella(1) flowers began to grow throughout her hair. Almost immediately did the insects stop their chase and leave. Buzzing with words of dismay.

That received excited barks and yips from the two fox kits.

[Y/n] scratched her skin that was already forming bumps, "My skin feels terrible now."

"Once you finish helping here you can head to the bathhouse with the others." Mandalay comforted. "Then you can prepare for the Test of Courage!"

[Y/n] picked up one of the boxes of supplies, "I can't believe your making me babysit a bunch of teens in the woods. I'm sure they can put one foot in front of the other. They aren't toddlers."

"You aren't babysitting them, Aguni." Aizawa sighed. "Your job is to keep the surrounding area safe, guard them from any dangers that might hinder the training and care for those who might end up injured due to the unfamiliar surroundings."

"You just described a babysitter with more responsibilities." Mandalay let out a laugh, earning a groan from Aizawa.

"Just finish cleaning." Aizawa looked to the entrance of the building. Taking in the mass of black fur that laid sprawled against the dusty earth. "Why is he at the entrance of the building?"

"I told him to keep watch while I work." [Y/n] answered

"For what?"

"I don't know." She shrugged. "It's just better to have someone reliable watching your back."

Without the biting bugs, the night wasn't all that bad.ย

It was quiet. Almost comforting as she strolled through the forest in search of any other potential 'dangers'.

So far, she met a family of sleeping hare in a den. A few bats who hung from the tree branches. Fireflies who were kind enough to light her path in exchange for nectar from her flowers.

And now, a Tanuki from what she could smell.

[Y/n] knocked on the bark of the tree, "Excuse me."

The scratching of claws on wood reached her ears. Eventually, the face of a Tanuki popped out from the hole in the tree. Odd paws clinging to the edges as it peered down at her in confusion.

"I'm sorry to bother you but my schoolmates have plans to use the forest for training purposes. Can you keep a safe distance from them?"

The Tanuki growled.

"They just tend to forget their surroundings when using their abilities." [Y/n] confessed. "Especially, the one with spiky blond hair." He tilted his head. "He can be pretty aggressive but he shouldn't do any harm to your person. And if he does, he'll be strung from a tree like a lizard caught by a northern shrikes"

The Tanuki scurried out the tree. Moving around her legs to tug on the laces of her boots, pull on the skirt of her dress and play with the end of her tail.

"It's nice to know your comfortable with being near me." She picked up the raccoon. Her fingers running over the dense gray fur on his spine. Resulting in a soft purr. She began walking again. "Is there anything I should be aware of when it comes to the night?"

He flipped onto his back with a mew.

"That would have been useful sometime ago but I already got bit." She waved her bitten hand in front of him. A soft smile on her face as she continued down the path. "Anything else to offer?"

The Tanuki looked to have fallen into thought before he finally spoke.

"A man?" She repeated, stopping in her steps. "What kind of man?"

"There's no way." [Y/n] pulled her phone from her bag. Brow knitting as she held it up to the sky.

No signal.

"This isn't good." She took off in the direction of Ragdolls checkpoint.

Everything seemed to happen within the blink of an eye. One second he was teaching theย remedial class with Vlad King in the building and the next he was watching the forest burn a bright blue in the distance. Black smoke billowing in the sky above.

"This is bad..." A bark reached his ears.

"Letting your worry get ahead of you, Eraser." A flash caught his eye. Just barely giving him the chance to grapple onto the side of the building and away from the blast of blue flames aimed at him. "Well, I guess you are a pro hero, after all."

Dabi raise his hand towards the hero, expecting another blast to come forth.

Before either of the two could blink, Dabi was on his front. Large paws on his back and his arm twisted back and held tight within jaws. Echo began pulling at the limb.

"Echo, stop." The wolf did as told. "Tell me your purpose, number, and positions."

"Why?" The wolf teeth dug deeper into his wrist. Echo brought his head up. A pop resonating between the three as the limb fell limp beside him.

"Your right arm's next." Aizawa warned. "Lets do this logically. If we get to your legs, it'll be annoying to transport you."

"Are you in a hurry, Eraser?" An explosion went off in the distant. The blue fire glowing brighter than before.

"Mr. Aizawa!" Four students ran from the forest. Unharmed but frightened none the less.

"As expected of a U.A. teacher." Dabi muttered. "Hey, hero. Are your students important?"

Echo quickly pulled away with a whine. Aizawa expected to blood coming from its mouth. Instead, it was something similar to sludge.

"I hope you can protect them all till the end." Aizawa could only watch as the once solid form melted into nothing but mud on the ground. Causing the wolf to whine and look to him in confusion and worry.

"Mr. Aizawa! What was that just now?!" Mineta question went unanswered as the teacher ran pass him.

"Get inside! I'll be right back!"

A whine made him nearly stop, "Go back to the camp. I'll find Aguni and bring her back."

Echo let out a small bark as he continued running beside him. Aizawa would have mistaken him for nothing more than a big wounded puppy if he hadn't seen him pull a grown mans arm out of place.

"It's just better to have someone reliable watching your back."

The soft buzzing of his phone made him look to it. He pulled it from his pocket.

Incoming Call From Aguni [Y/n]

He answered, "Aguni! Lead as many students back to the camp immediately! There is an undetermined amount of villains within the forest! Do not engage! Do you understand?"

"Aguni?" Gold blood dripped against the cracked phone below. "Aguni, respond!"

"I could hear Echo whine, Sensei." [Y/n] held her bloodied hand firmly to the wound on her side. Her fingers coated in a mix of red from the teacher and gold from the deep wound across her arm that left the soft tissue of her arm on display. "Is he alright?"

Her eye remained locked on the towering form below of her.

It's body made of pure muscle and colored mint green. But not in the shade she would find comforting. If anything it made her sick the longer she stared. Six arms stuck out from its body.

Each endowed with construction tools.

Three of which had golden blood dripping from them. Despite it being the one to spill her blood, she held little to no fear towards.

No.

She held caution towards the man who had ordered it. The man who wore a black and white mask.

"Your looking a little pale there, kid!" The man exclaimed, tossing her teacher into the air. Her body compressed into nothing but a tiny teal marble.ย "Are you not enjoying the show?"
