Chapter Text

Just keep your head up. Stay calm. Breathe. Stay alive.

It was the mantra you continued to repeat to yourself in your head as Gretchen walked you to her apartment. She was humming and although there was an innocent smile on her face, you could still feel the malicious grip of her hands and the steel of the gun pressed against you. You breathed through your nose, staring ahead of you and hoping that everything would be alright.

Just keep your head up. Stay calm. Breathe. Stay alive.

Stay alive. It was a weird thought. You never thought you'd have to worry about dying, really. It seemed so far away in the grand scheme of things. And when Loki was around - when he used to be around - you felt like there were thousands of shields erected around you at all times. It seemed like he had ensured that nothing in the world could possibly hurt you, no matter how much they tried.

But Loki wasn't around. So that wasn't the case anymore.

Just keep your head up. Stay calm. Breathe. Stay alive.

Gretchen said she wanted to sacrifice you - you still didn't know what that meant. If it was anything like the movies, the tales, or whatever was swimming in your head, it wouldn't be pretty. It wouldn't end with you alive. It would end with you cold, lifeless, dead.

Stay alive. Stay alive. Stay alive.

Your body moved on its own accord, your mind doing nothing to aid you. The only things you could process were that a gun was pressed to you and that you were completely and utterly alone. Cooper was at home, right where you told him to stay. But right now, you'd do anything to bury your fingers in that thick fur of his. He was safer where he was. You just hoped someone would take care of him if you were gone.

And then, there was Loki. The man who vowed to protect you from everything bad in this universe. The man who swore he would love you until he withered and died - and even after that, he proclaimed his love would carry on. The man who made you feel like you were worth something, like you were whole.

The man who left you.

He wasn't here to save you. You had to figure out how to save yourself. It was ironic, actually, that your life was going to end in order to summon Loki, the one person in your life who swore to never leave you. If it worked and your death brought him back, you wished you could see him one last time before you died. Because truthfully, even through all of this depression and decay, all you wanted was Loki.

All you wanted was to see him again, to laugh with him and love him. You wanted his arms around you, his lips on yours, his hands on your face. You wanted to feel his breathing and touch his hair and taste his tongue. You wanted him over you, under you, inside of you. You wanted him everywhere.

Because you loved him.

You loved him and you were going to die because of him.

No, stay alive. You need to stay alive!

Why? There's no point.

Stay alive. Stay alive for Cooper.

A piece of you hoped, prayed, wished that Loki would appear in front of you and whisk you away. But prayers didn't work for you, not anymore. Loki stopped listening. Maybe Gretchen would try to sacrifice you and it wouldn't work. Loki wouldn't come. Then maybe all of this would be for absolutely nothing.

Your feet continued to carry you blindly up the steps to Gretchen's apartment. When she got you inside, she locked the door and pushed you towards her room. Her smile was glowing as she pointed to her bedroom.

"It is time to prepare for our god."

*

Cooper did not know what to do.

You told him to stay and that you would be back. But he was smart, and he was pretty positive you would not be coming back. He whimpered just thinking about it. But what was there to do? Gretchen had swept you from the house without looking back. He could try to chase her down but he didn't know where she lived. He could probably scent her down but would trying to follow you bring her to violence? He saw the gun, he knew what that meant.

Cooper plopped onto the ground and began to whine. You were his best friend, his best girl. He would do anything for you. Because you had saved him. You saved him when he was a puppy from being brought into a bad household or tossed into a shelter. You gave him a home and a heart, all of your warmth and love. You were the best thing to ever happen to him.

And now, you were gone. Just like Loki, you were -

Fuck. That bastard! Loki!

Cooper shot up and sniffed around the room. The smell of his collar was faint after weeks of hiding but he had to get to it. That was the only way! Gretchen wanted to summon Loki but fuck it, Cooper would do it first.

He caught the scent of his collar on the highest shelf of your bookshelf. Dammit, fuck humans and their height. Also fuck those opposable thumbs too.

Cooper stared up at the bookshelf. There was no guarantee that calling to Loki would work. After all, he hadn't listened for the last month. He had to try, though. It was the only thing that he could do to save you.

Cooper pawed at the bookshelf. Growling, Cooper hit his side against the shelf, but it still wouldn't budge. Letting out a sharp huff, Cooper managed to wiggle beside the bookshelf and slip his paws behind it.

And he pushed.

He pushed and pushed and pushed until the shelf moved out from the wall just a bit. Then, he slid more of himself behind it. He continued this process until he could fit his entire body behind the shelf. Standing up on his hind legs, Cooper placed his paws on the bookcase and with a howl of power, he thrusted himself forward.

The bookshelf came crashing down.

It was cheaply made - you had said so. You bought a cheap, practically broken, bookcase from a garage sale because you couldn't afford anything more with the paycheck you had. When the shelf fell, the sides broke apart, allowing the back panel to be easily shifted. Cooper nudged the back panel off of the shelving and managed to find his collar. He grabbed it with his mouth and ran into the kitchen room. He placed it on the floor and stepped on top of it. And with a deep breath, he howled and howled as loud as he could.

"Loki! She's gone! Gretchen took her! Get your ass here now! LOKI!"

*

Loki stared at the ceiling, an open copy of an old book of love poems on his chest. It was tattered, even though he had only obtained it last week. Loki read it over and over every day, several times a day, losing himself in the words that reminded him so much of you.

Sometimes he drank while he read. Sometimes he cried. Sometimes he mourned. Sometimes he felt nothing at all. And sometimes he felt so much pain that a dagger through the heart would feel more pleasant.

But now, all Loki could feel was the haunting memory of your lips on his skin, your hands on his chest, and your hair tickling his skin. Tears blocked his vision as he imagined holding you close to him. He looked down at his sheets, picturing you beside him. He could see you perfectly - flushed cheeks, bright eyes, mischievous smile. You reached up and brushed his cheek with your intangible hand.

"My love," he whispered, wishing he could actually feel your fingers on him. But this mental ghost was weightless, no density or realness. His mind was simply conjuring up an image of you to make him feel better. Really, it only made him feel worse. Sighing, Loki let his tears fall from your eyes. The mental image of you smiled and when you opened your lips, Loki was startled.

"Loki! She's gone! Gretchen took her! Get your ass here now! LOKI!"

Loki shot up, blinking rapidly. The image he had conjured had disappeared, but he still heard that loud, wailing voice. But it wasn't your voice, it was Cooper's. Loki pressed a hand to his chest, trying to tame his racing heart. It was just a figment of his imagination, just like the ghost of you. It wasn't real. That couldn't possibly be -

"Loki, you bastard! She's going to die! Gretchen is going to kill her! She needs you!"

No...no, no, no! Loki felt his ears ringing. That was definitely Cooper and he was shouting to him.

He was shouting to him because Gretchen was going to...

Loki suddenly felt sick. He wanted to ignore this voice of Cooper, but the dog would not stop shouting, screaming, and begging for Loki to come back because you were in danger - serious danger. He wanted to believe that it wasn't real. He couldn't interfere with you on Midgard - he left for a reason! But the mere thought of you being in any sort of peril had Loki squeezing his eyes shut and tapping into the magic of the collar. He closed his fists and with a flash of light, he was back in your apartment.

"Cooper!" Loki said, staring down at the dog. Cooper stopped howling and stared at Loki, his dark eyes wide as if he couldn't believe he was there. Truthfully, Loki couldn't believe he was there either. It had been over a month since he was in your apartment. He looked around, his chest heavy with emotion. He could feel the emptiness that was here. He looked to your bedroom but before he could move, Cooper lurched forward and bit him.

"You left her! You left her and now she's gonna die! You sick fucking bastard! I'll kill you!"

"Cooper, stop!" Loki shouted, pushing the dog off of him. "What the fuck is going on?"

"You left her! You left her and she hasn't been able to get out of her bed for a month! I've been taking care of her because you abandoned her! And then, Gretchen shows up and says she's been praying to you too and you haven't come to her either! Now she's trying to sacrifice my girl to you in order to get you to show up!"

"Oh gods," Loki whispered, stumbling backwards. "What have I done?"

Cooper's face was hard and unforgiving. "You killed her, Loki. You broke her heart, sent her into a depression, and now you've killed her. You never even loved her in the first place."

"No...no, Cooper. I love her more than anything, that's why I had to leave! But I...I can't explain it now. Please, where did they go? I need to get to them. I need to save her." Loki fell to his knees and let his tears fall freely. "Where is she?"

"Gretchen's apartment."

"Thank you," Loki said, reaching forward to pet Cooper. Cooper bit his hand and growled. Loki stood and sighed but nodded. "I understand."

"Just so you know, Loki, if she dies because of this, I'm going to fucking kill you."

"Good," Loki said as he walked to the door. He gave a sad, weak smile. "I hope you do."

*

Despite your struggling, Gretchen managed to get you on top of the altar. You thrashed around but with an angry slap to your face, you were stunned into stillness. Gretchen grabbed your face and turned it towards her so your gazes locked.

"Stop fighting this. It's going to happen whether you want it or not," Gretchen hissed. She was still wearing her long coat with the gun tucked inside, an unpleasant reminder of her power of you. You hissed in pain as she gripped your jaw tighter but you remained compliant. Gretchen smirked and pushed your head back so it hit the altar. "Good girl. No wonder Loki liked you."

You shut your eyes and fought the tears that threatened to leak down your cheeks as Gretchen bound your hands above your body. She then moved on to tie your legs but you managed to kick her. You landed a blow right in her mouth. You heard a crack and Gretchen held her face in shock. A few drops of blood dripped down her lips as she opened her mouth. You grimaced when you saw that you only managed to chip a tooth. She spat the broken tooth out and wiped her face.

"You shouldn't have done that," Gretchen hissed. She pulled you up by your hair and slammed your head back against the altar. You groaned, your vision swirling.

In your daze, Gretchen managed to tie your legs to the altar but kept them spread apart. You felt so weak, so humiliated, so alone. You heard the shifting of clothing and you turned your head, opening your eyes. Gretchen was stripping her coat. She tossed it onto the bed and placed the gun beneath it. Then, she stripped her dress off so she was completely nude.

"You know, honey," Gretchen chuckled as she began lighting a bunch of candles around you. "You should consider yourself lucky to be handed over to Loki as a sacrifice. It is such an honor to serve as such. Your death will please him greatly."

Death. So she did plan on killing you.

"Gretchen, he doesn't love me," you argued. "He won't come if you sacrifice me! I don't mean anything to him!"

"I don't care," Gretchen sighed, shaking her match out. She closed the curtains, shrouding the room in darkness. The candles flickered softly, reflecting off your skin. "You are the closest thing I have to him."

"Please don't do this," you cried, tears shamelessly falling from your eyes. "Please, Gretchen. I'll do anything."

"Enough!" Gretchen shouted. "This is your fate! Accept it!"

"I can't!" you sobbed. "This isn't right! This isn't you!"

"This has always been me," Gretchen whispered, reaching for a knife at the foot of the altar. You struggled against your bonds as she held the knife up. "I have always wanted Loki. I would do anything to get what I want. You know that."

"Does that include killing me, your friend?" you asked.

"Yes," she said plainly. She reached down and sliced the front of your dress with the knife. Your dress fell down on either side of you, exposing your nude body. You trembled with fear as Gretchen began smearing ashes over you, murmuring deep and dark prayers.

"We used to be such good friends. We used to do almost everything together in college. Does that mean nothing?" you tried to reason with her. Gretchen's eyes locked with yours and she shook her head, her face devoid of any emotion.

"You mean nothing to me. You have always meant nothing to me," she explained. "I never liked you, honey. You were always shooting too high above your status, trying too hard to be loved. You were a charity case to me, a way to make myself look better. After all, when compared to you, I'm practically irresistible. The money, the looks, the body - I had it all. I had everything but Loki. You didn't deserve Loki's love and you never will. But you will die for our love. And when Loki and I are together forever, I will remember what you did for us. Maybe then you'll mean something - just a bit. But otherwise, you are worthless to me. I will take great joy in this."

That silenced you. You rolled your head and stared at her wall, your portraits of Loki hanging above you. You took in his beauty, the allure of him, and wished that you could see him one last time. Maybe it would make death easier if he were here to get you through it.

Gretchen was praying again but you weren't listening. All you thought about was Loki and how even in your final moments of life, you loved him. You wanted him here. And maybe in death, you could watch over him and make sure he lived a long, happy life without you. You looked up at the ceiling and swallowed, your throat dry and cracked. You noticed Gretchen raise the sharp knife above your chest, a fire in her eyes, but you decided you couldn't watch her bring death upon you. Instead, you closed your eyes and felt your tears roll down your cheeks.

"I love you, Loki," you whispered.

You waited for the sharp tip of the knife to pierce your chest but it never came. The room was still, quiet, but you felt the coolest breeze brush past your cheek.

"Gretchen."

You opened your eyes and whipped your head around. Loki was standing across the room, his face set in cold, hard lines. His eyes were locked on Gretchen. She turned around and gasped. She dropped to her knees, letting the knife clang onto the ground.

"Loki! You came! You came to me!" Gretchen exclaimed, her naked body visibly shaking with excitement. But really, you weren't watching her. You were staring at the god who had abandoned you, the god you still loved. Slowly, he tore his eyes away from Gretchen and looked at you. You tried to reach out for him but your hands were still tied together. Wordlessly, Loki looked around at the altar and Gretchen's entire set up, then back at Gretchen and nodded.

"I have, pet," Loki purred, strutting up to Gretchen. Instantly, you felt something snap inside of your chest. Your heart broke when he called her pet. That was your name. You watched in horror as Loki's face contorted from hard and rigid to smooth and full of...lust. He crouched down in front of Gretchen and tilted her chin up, a coy smile on his face. "And I am so pleased with what you have presented me with."

"You are?" she gasped, resting her hands on Loki's breastplate. "Master...I love you so much."

You choked on a sob. No, this couldn't be right. Loki was actually seduced by Gretchen's sacrifice and she had not even gotten to it yet. Death would have been easier than this. Loki brushed his fingers along Gretchen's cheeks, a content hum escaping his lips.

"Oh, sweet Gretchen," Loki whispered. "You have worked so hard to get my attention. You have finally done it."

"You're not here to take her back, are you?" Gretchen asked. She looked down at Loki's armor and grew restless. "Why are you in your armor?"

"I just came from Asgard," Loki said. "I have no interest in that girl up there. You are the one I came for."

Gretchen huffed and pushed on the armor. "Take it off. Prove you're here for me and not her."

Loki sighed but waved his hand. His armor disappeared, leaving him in only his black leather pants and a dark green tunic.

"Better?"

"Much," Gretchen giggled, running her hands over Loki's shoulders. "Have you come to fuck me and designate me as yours?"

"I have, little thing. You will be mine," Loki said. You watched his eyes run down her nude body as she ran her hands along his body. You felt like you were suffocating, you could hardly breathe, as you watched them touch each other on the floor.

"Will you give me your baby, my Prince? My body is prepared for you. I have been taking supplements so you could impregnate me," Gretchen said, grabbing Loki's hand and moving it to her cunt. Loki hummed and swiftly moved his hand away from her pussy and back to her hip.

"In time. Not yet. I want to fully enjoy your body first before giving you my heir," Loki reasoned.

Gretchen nodded, but you could tell by her posture that she was disappointed. Still, she leaned in and began kissing Loki's neck. You tightened your hands into fists and let out a loud cry. Loki's eyes locked with yours and you couldn't figure out the expression that was clouding his face. He looked away when Gretchen pulled back, her lips curled into a sneer.

"Lower your defenses," Gretchen whispered, stroking her hands down Loki's chest. "Lower them. I want to mark you as mine."

Loki pressed his lips into a thin smile. "Very well."

There was a faint shimmer over Loki that you recognized as him dropping his defenses, the same thing he did that allowed you to mark up his body. You couldn't take your eyes away from them but you also couldn't watch what was happening. Your eyes were filled with tears and your heart burned inside of your chest. You cried silently, praying that this would be over soon. The sooner this was over, the sooner you could...could...you didn't know what you could do. Now that you knew Loki wanted Gretchen, your time of longing and hoping for his return was over. He no longer wanted you, that was official. You just had to accept that somehow.

"Prince Loki," Gretchen purred. She stood up with Loki and pressed herself against him. Loki's hands settled on her waist and you bit your lip, trying to contain the sob that was settling in your throat. She sank to her knees and ran her hands up his thighs. "Allow me to thank you with my worship. Please, allow me to suck your cock in gratitude for your arrival."

"Oh, pet, as much as I would love that, I have something I want to do first," Loki purred, stroking his hand through her hair. "You have been such a loyal follower to me, I want to give you a special gift."

"A special gift?" Gretchen gasped with wide eyes. Loki nodded and lifted his hand. Between pinched fingers, a beautiful necklace appeared. It was a thick black chain littered with green stones that were so dark, they almost appeared the color of the midnight sky. Green smoke rose from the pendant, remnants of his magic floating into the air. You watched in horror as Loki held it above her.

"I am gifting you with this necklace. You have been such a good girl. You deserve it." Loki placed the necklace around Gretchen's neck. She smiled, ready to thank him, when you heard the sound of sizzling. The smell of burning flesh filled your nose as Gretchen began screaming. She grabbed at the necklace, her nails clawing her skin.

"What...what is this!" she shrieked. Loki's once lust-filled face quickly shifted into one of malice and hatred. He laughed evilly as Gretchen struggled to stand. Her body was contorting, you realized, shifting between different sizes and appearances. Her voice was garbled as she yelled.

"I have given you exactly what you wanted - a special pendant made just for you," Loki said with a smile. "You have been a horrid person, Gretchen, and now the world will see you for who you are. This necklace shows the ugliest parts of you, bringing that to the surface. Everyone will see you as what they find most undesirable, because that's what you are, worthless and undesirable. No one will ever want you now. Do not even try to remove the necklace. It will not come off unless your life is snuffed out. And don't worry, the burning will only stop in...never, actually."

"How dare you!" Gretchen screamed. "I am your most loyal follower!"

"No, you are not. You are my worst follower. Putting others in danger, taking advantage of men, threatening to kill others - that is not good following, Gretchen. That is horrendous," Loki snarled. "You deserve this. You deserve the life of pain this will give you. And whenever you try to come in contact with us or even you think about me or her, the pain will only grow stronger and you will only grow more grotesque." Loki paused and gave an appreciative grin. "Though, that seems a little tough to do. You look truly disgusting now."

Gretchen screamed and ran from the room, surely to find out what she looked like. As soon as she left, Loki ran over to you. He sliced your bonds and cupped your face.

"Loki?" you whispered.

"I'm here, beloved. I'm here," he whispered, he ran his hand over your body and sealed your dress closed. "I am so sorry I left. This is all my fault. Pet, I love you so much."

"You do?" you asked in a watery voice. He helped you off the altar and back onto your feet. You grasped his shirt in shaking hands and watched as Loki's face fell into complete sorrow and regret. "You...you don't want Gretchen?"

"I could never want her, darling, I only want you. I love you so much," Loki said softly, catching the tears that fell down your cheeks. "I will explain everything when we get home."

"Loki, I -"

"Stop right there."

You and Loki turned around to find Gretchen standing in the doorway, the gun held in her hand. You cringed as you saw her charred skin and the necklace completely melted into it. Other than her burnt skin, she looked the same. But then you understood what Loki meant. She would appear as what you find most undesirable and to you, that was her. Someone else would see her differently but you were so disgusted by who she was that her appearance to you was her own. Loki stepped forward, his hand held out in front of him.

"Gretchen - "

"No!" Gretchen shouted. "How could you? I loved you! I would do anything for you!"

"You know I don't love you, Gretchen. I told you that I never did and I never would," Loki explained. "But this is not the answer. We are done here. Put the gun down."

"No! No!" Gretchen looked at you with her wild, crazed eyes. Her lips flapped open and closed and you caught a glimpse of her broken tooth. "This is all your fault! You took everything from me!"

"How is this my fault?" you whispered, your hands shaking again. You reached for Loki and he held onto your hand with his that wasn't held out. He squeezed your hand and you were immediately filled with a sense of calmness - at least as much as you could have with a gun pointed at the man you loved.

"If it wasn't for you, Loki would be with me. You held him back. You poisoned his mind! He was supposed to be mine! I loved him and he loved me and you took that away from me!" Gretchen screamed. Her nostrils flared and she shook her head. "And now, you must pay for it."

Gretchen turned the gun towards you and fired it. There was a shout and you felt yourself being pushed to the ground. You landed on the floor with a heavy thud. Five more rounds were fired off but you felt nothing. You waited for some feeling to register within you - a burn, spikes of pain, something, though nothing came. You trembled on the floor and you cautiously looked up. Your eyes widened and you screamed.

"Loki!" you shouted. He was wavering, unsteady on his feet as six bullet holes littered his body - three in his chest alone. He was standing in the spot you once were. You could already see blood soaking through his tunic and his pants.

Loki had pushed you out of the way of Gretchen's gun and took the bullets for you. He sacrificed himself for you.

No! This shouldn't be possible! How could the bullets pierce his skin? This shouldn't -

He had lowered his defenses before.

Loki collapsed to the ground and you crawled over to him, his body weak in your hands. You screamed as you held onto him, his blood soaking your body. You turned to Gretchen and sobbed.

"How could you! You're going to kill him!" you yelled.

You didn't think twice about what you did next. You took advantage of Gretchen staring at Loki in shock, her body frozen in fear. You grabbed the knife that Gretchen was going to stab you with and jumped from the ground. You ran towards her and pushed her against the door, the knife piercing her shoulder. The gun fell out of her hand and clattered onto the ground. Gretchen blinked and growled, wrestling you.

Honestly, you didn't have much of a plan. You were livid. Her threats against you were forgotten and all you could focus on was the fact that she had hurt Loki. You dug the knife deeper into her shoulder and she screamed, but she managed to push you off of her. The knife sprung from her skin with a wet noise and you howled, lunging back at her. She dodged your advances and the knife hit the door. Gretchen grabbed the back of your hair and tugged your neck back.

"You did this!" she hissed. "You caused him to get hurt!"

"I wasn't the one with the fucking gun!" you shouted. You freed the knife from the door and stabbed it backwards. Gretchen howled as the knife landed in her thigh. You elbowed her in the stomach and she stumbled back, blood streaming down her chest and leg. The crazed look in her eyes was nearly glowing as she dislodged the knife from her leg and ran at you.

"I hate you! You took him away from me!" Gretchen screamed. You grabbed her wrist before she could hit you with the knife. You squeezed on her pulse until her fingers opened. You caught the knife and slashed at her, landing a swift blow to her cheek. Blood oozed from the cut on her face and she grabbed it, clawing at her skin.

"I can't believe I ever trusted you," you whispered. Gretchen made an animalistic noise and kneed you in the gut. You doubled over, coughing in pain at the harsh blow. She pushed you onto the ground, your body colliding with the hard floor harshly. You held the knife out, trying to ward her off with it, but Gretchen just laughed. She collected the gun off of the floor and pointed it at you. You shuffled backwards, holding the knife out further.

"There's nowhere to run, honey. You deserve this death, especially now. You're the reason Loki is going to die," she said, her hand trembling as she held the gun.

"I'm not the one who shot him, Gretchen! This is your doing!" you screeched.

"No! This is your fault! You did this! You get in the way of everything! It's your fault he's going to die! My love, my Prince, you killed him!" Gretchen lifted the gun again and pointed it towards you, her finger curling around the trigger. You squeezed your eyes shut, waiting for the final blow to come, but then she began sobbing in pain.

You carefully opened your eyes and cringed when you saw what was happening. The gun fell from her hand as she collapsed onto the ground. The necklace began growing around her and digging into her skin, bloodied spikes hooking into her flesh. It bound her limbs to her as it wrapped around her neck. You watched the necklace tighten and tighten until she wasn't screaming any longer, her body unconscious from loss of air. You turned back to Loki and saw his hand out, the glow of magic leaving him.

"Loki, oh gods," you cried, crawling over to Loki and resting his body in your lap. His head was resting on your forearm as you cradled him carefully. You pressed your hands to his body, trying to cover his wounds. There was so much blood, it was smearing all over your hands. You cried as you felt his body grow heavier. "Why did you do that?"

"Couldn't let her kill you," Loki coughed, rolling his head to the side. He looked up at you and smiled, though there was blood on his lips. "It was worth it to keep you alive."

"N-No! You...you're..."

"Hush, pet. It's okay," Loki said softly. "At least I got to look into your eyes one last time."

"No, Loki, you cannot die. Not now," you cried, hugging him close to your body. "Why aren't you healing yourself? Can't you heal yourself?"

"I cannot," Loki coughed, his face contorting into an expression of pain. "The wounds, they drain me. They're depleting my strength. Without my strength, I cannot use my magic. I used so much of my magic to create that cursed necklace. I was already running low when I used the last of my energy to knock Gretchen out after she shot me. I fear I don't have enough in my reserves to heal myself."

"Fuck, Loki..." You trembled as you held onto him, your hands running through his hair. You kissed all over his face as he let out pained, ragged breaths. You grabbed onto him. "We need to get back to my apartment. I can't carry you, you're too heavy."

"I told you, my magic is weak," he sighed. "I can't do it."

"The collar is there, Loki. You can get to it with magic. You told me you can transport to wherever it is in an instant, just like my...my pendant," you said.

"I don't know if I can make it," he admitted, his skin getting paler and his eyes getting dimmer.

"We need to try," you said, stroking his hair away from his face. "Before she wakes up. Please, just try for me. Then...then you can let go, my love."

You watched Loki's eyes widen when you called him your love. He wheezed and his hands twitched.

"Hold onto me," Loki grunted. You grasped his hands and he squeezed his eyes shut. He groaned and howled but in a flash, you were back in your kitchen. Loki let out a wail of pain and his body went even limper, his magic completely gone. His grip on your hand was weak and with a deep breath, Loki's eyes fluttered shut.

"Loki!" you cried. Cooper ran into the room and began barking at the sight. You clung to Loki, crying into him as you listened to his short, weak breaths - too weak to keep him aware of what was going on. He was moaning, drifting in and out of consciousness.

This was it. This was where you officially lost him. Your warrior god, your beautiful lover, your dark Master...he was going to leave this world, these realms. He was going to die because of you, for you. You clung to him as if it would keep him alive. You could feel his blood all over your body as you held him, soaking through your dress and staining your skin.

"I love you so much, Loki. Please...please don't die...I'll do anything..."

Your answer came in a shimmer of green. You watched as the case that contained the Livets Blomst formed on the table. There, the blue flower glowed. You gasped and turned back to Loki, his eyes shut and his chest hardly moving at all. He was just barely clinging to life, you could tell.

It's called the Livets Blomst. It's grown in Alfheim and only those who are worthy are allowed to take one. There is a single pearl inside that is meant to patch any wounds, heal any illness, or really recover anything that is wrong. I wanted to give you one because, well, you deserve it. I have burdened you with my wounds, my toxins, and my hurt. This is my way of giving back to you.

The Livets Blomst could heal any injuries...anything at all...

You didn't think twice about what you were going to do. Loki was going to die if you didn't save him and there was no way you would let that happen. You reached up and smacked the flower off the table. The glass landed on the ground with a crash, shattering into little pieces but you didn't care about that. You grabbed the flower and opened the petals. A single tiny pearl resided inside of the folded petals. You plucked it out and wrapped your fist around it.

You poured every ounce of love into it. All of your intentions to heal Loki, every good emotion, everything pure into the pearl. You cried as you held onto it harder with one hand, your other over the wounds on Loki's chest. His eyes were fluttering and you weren't sure you would actually be able to save him. You pushed more will into the pearl and suddenly, it began glowing. You watched in wonder as the trails of light wandered into Loki's body. They filled inside of him, lighting him up. His wounds began to seal themselves up, the blood on his clothing disappearing. The color returned to his face and you could feel his magic flowing through his veins again. There was a flash of light and then all was silent.

Well, until Loki's eyes fluttered open and he gasped.

Carefully, Loki sat up. He looked down at his body and began feeling his torso. Each wound had completely disappeared. You smiled, tears falling down your cheeks, but from happiness this time. He looked up at you, his lips parted in awe.

"Beloved," he whispered, and it was enough to propel you forward. You jumped onto him, your arms wrapping around his neck. You settled yourself in his lap as he held you on the floor, his arms locked around your waist. Loki buried his face in your hair and you could feel his body shaking. "But...how...?"

"The Livets Blomst," you whispered. You opened your hand and the pearl fell out, turning to dust as it hit the ground. The flower wilted on the floor and died, also disappearing into dust. But that wasn't what mattered. What mattered was Loki was in front of you, staring at you with such wonder in his eyes. "It can heal anything."

"You foolish girl, that was meant to save you if you ever needed it," Loki laughed, shaking his head. His expression softened as he cupped your face. "You saved me, little one. You saved my life."

"I had to," you cried, lifting your head to look into his eyes. "I couldn't let you die."

"Even after everything I did to you?" His face was dark, shadowed as he asked the question. Your smile faded and you shook your head, your hands playing with the ends of Loki's hair.

"Yeah. Even after that," you sighed. You noticed your position and you blushed. You pulled yourself off of Loki's lap and stood. "I'm sorry. I guess, uh, I guess you'll want to get going."

"Oh, pet," Loki said, standing to his full height. You forgot how tall he was in your time apart. You had to tilt your head up to look at him. His green eyes sparkled as he cupped your cheeks. "I'm not going anywhere."

"That's what you said last time," you said, unable to help the bitterness in your voice.

"I know," Loki murmured. "I have a lot of explaining to do." He held his hand out. "Come with me?"

It was a question, you could tell. Because in that month apart, Loki knew that he lost the privilege to command you, to call the shots. Taking a deep breath, you nodded. As you took Loki's hand, you noticed your dress disappeared in favor of warm leggings and a fluffy sweater. Beneath it, he had even magicked on underwear and a bra - something nearly foreign to you after all this time. Your hair felt clean, your body felt fresh, and it felt like you just stepped out of a nice, hot shower. The blood on your skin was gone too. You nodded in thanks as Loki walked you over to the couch. Cooper stood in the living room, guarding the piece of furniture.

"I'm going to explain everything, I promise," Loki said. Cooper huffed but walked aside. Loki sat you on the couch but before he could come any closer to you, Cooper jumped up and planted himself between you. You giggled and scratched his head.

"Good boy," you praised him.

"I deserve that," Loki mumbled.

"You deserve more than that," you noted. "But go ahead. Tell me everything."

Loki stared at his hands, unbloodied now, and you could see he was trying to figure out where to start. You reached across Cooper and touched his arm. He looked down at your hand then into your eyes, hope in his own gaze.

"Take your time," you said softly. "If you don't know where to start, then just start at the beginning."

"I never meant to fall in love with you," Loki said suddenly, his jaw tight. "After I came to you the first night, I went back to Asgard. Odin was there and he warned me about coming to you. He said paying attention to one follower would not bode well. I didn't listen. I came back to you. I kept coming back to you until I never left. I loved it. I loved being here with you but it wasn't good for Midgard

"You see, the longer I spent with you, these magical flares began growing. They were signatures of my magic that latched onto you and flared out. I still don't know why it happened but it did. I was able to fix it once with a surprise pearl from the Livets Blomst. I thought that was it. I thought they wouldn't come back but they did. They came back stronger. I couldn't fix them this time because I realized that I was the one producing them. They were just growing around you. It was...it was all my fault," Loki said, his body heaving as he tried to hold back a sob. You squeezed his arm and he placed his hand over yours.

"Loki? What did these flares do?" you asked tentatively.

"For most people, it just made them want sex. But for others...it latched onto dark desires that had always lurked within them. It expanded them and made these people act on them," Loki explained. He looked at you. "The flares were the reason that Michael and Gretchen became what they became. Those desires were always in them but the flares made them stronger."

"Oh wow," you whispered. Loki nodded.

"I thought that by removing my presence from Midgard, it would end the flares. Without my magic on Midgard, the flares couldn't grow. My plan was to return to Asgard and remove them from there by answering prayers and slowly whittling them away," Loki sighed, shaking his head. "But I couldn't. I was so broken from leaving you that I could not try to fix them from afar. I missed you so much. You were all I thought about. I was in so much pain. All I did was drown myself in alcohol and cry over how badly I needed you. I tried to ignore your calls for me and when they finally stopped, I was even more broken. I thought you had gotten over me or hated me, and then when Cooper called me and told me you were in danger, I had to come back. I realized how badly I messed up."

"Wait, Cooper called to you?" you asked.

"Yes. That's how I knew where you were," Loki explained.

"But I hid his collar." You looked down at Cooper and he huffed. "What did he say?"

"He said he didn't want to call me because he hated me for what I did to you, understandably so, but he figured it was the only way to save you. He, uh, he destroyed your bookcase to get the collar," Loki chuckled.

"Such a good boy. You saved my life, Coop," you laughed, wrapping your arms around Cooper and hugging him tightly. He licked your face and you giggled. When you looked back up at Loki, he was smiling softly down at you both. "So did you, Loki. You saved my life too."

With that, Loki began crying and you watched him, your chest aching. You wanted to reach out and comfort him but you weren't sure how. Loki wiped his eyes but he continued to sob. He said your name in a whisper before looking up at you.

"I love you so much, pet," Loki cried out. "I fucked up. I put your life in danger several times. I am the reason that Michael and Gretchen did what they did. I abandoned you when you needed me. I ignored your prayers. I broke your heart. I will never be able to make up for that."

"You left to protect me," you said quietly. "Why didn't you just tell me about this from the beginning?"

"I do not know." Loki smiled weakly. "I just thought concealing the truth would make it easier to believe it was not happening. I didn't want anything to ruin what we had and I was afraid that by telling you, you would blame yourself. You would let that blame and guilt manifest into self-hatred, and I could not put you through that. I worked so hard to keep you happy and proud of yourself that something like this would tear it down. It would tear you away from me."

"Loki, you need to stop hiding things from me," you sighed. "You really broke my heart when you left. I was in the worst state of my life. If you had just told me what you needed to do, maybe things would have been easier. We could have worked through it together. Because Loki, I...I love you. I still love you."

"You still love me?" Loki asked.

"How could I ever stop?" You smiled softly.

Loki looked down at Cooper. "May I go to her?"

Cooper tilted his head but then reached forward and bit Loki's arm. He cried out, his defenses still lowered but he sat there and took it. Cooper growled and buried his fangs deeper into Loki's skin, blood pooling on his arm. When Cooper pulled back, he sniffed Loki's bloody arm and then gave a curt, doggy nod. Loki grumbled something about how he still deserved that before kneeling in front of you. He took your hands in his and stroked the backs of your hands. You nodded at Cooper and he huffed, jumping off the couch and wandering into the kitchen. You looked back at Loki and saw tears glittering in his eyes.

"My beautiful pet, my sweet beloved, my good girl, I am so sorry for hurting you. What I did is unforgivable and I understand that, but I will do everything in my power to show you how sorry I am and how much I love you," Loki said, lifting his chin. "You mean everything to me. From now on, any question you have, I will answer. Nothing will be hidden from you. Because now I can see that transparency equals your safety, and that's what I want above all, your safety.

"So if you choose to take me, I will do this for you. I will love you every day of my life and show you the utmost respect and care. I will bend to your every whim and give you anything you could possibly desire." Loki paused and his face became stoic. "But if you do not want me back, I understand. I will leave you alone. I will watch over you and protect you, bless you and keep you safe, but I will not interfere with you anymore. I won't -"

You slapped your hand over Loki's mouth. "Shut up."

"I beg your pardon?" Loki asked, his voice muffled behind your hand.

"You're not leaving me ever again, Loki Odinson," you said, removing your hand from Loki's mouth. His lips were parted in an 'o' shape and you giggled. "You fucked up, you did, but you saved my life. You took six bullets for me. That's worth something, right?"

"I mean, I did almost tragically die in your arms," Loki sighed dramatically. You rolled your eyes and laughed, but you soon sobered.

"You did almost die in my arms. I thought I was going to lose you. And between that terror and you disappearing - both to Alfheim for that one day and to Asgard for the past month - I can safely say that a world without you is a world I don't want to be in. You're not perfect but neither am I. But that's why we work, Loki. We make each other better. You bring out the confidence in me and I bring out the kindness in you. You're a softer man than the man I met back in my room all those months ago. You're a man worthy of happiness, life, love..." You smiled and brushed some of Loki's hair from his face. "You're a man worthy of forgiveness. I...I don't know why but I trust you. I feel like I have to. I've trusted you from the beginning and even though you've hurt me, I still trust you. I have this pull towards you and I, gods I really don't know why, but I trust you, Loki."

"You trust me," Loki murmured as if he was tasting the word on his tongue.

"I do. Even after everything, I still trust you."

"Sweetheart..."

"I love you, Loki. I love you more than anything," you said, happy tears in your eyes.

"Pet, I love you so fucking much." Loki raised his hand and in his palm, your pendant formed. The green gem glittered up at you in welcoming and your cheeks began hurting from how wide you were smiling. Loki held the pendant up and actually blushed. "My sweet pet, will you be mine once again?"

"Loki, I've been yours since the day we met. Nothing has ever changed that," you laughed. Loki grinned and placed the necklace around your neck. That familiar weight settled on your chest and you ran your fingers over the emerald. You looked up at Loki with a quizzical look. "This won't make me ugly or burn my skin, right?"

"No, it won't," Loki chuckled.

You bit your lip and your face paled slightly. "Is she gone?"

"You don't need to worry about her any longer," Loki assured you. "She cannot hurt you. I promise you this. That necklace she wears will stop her from ever going near you." Loki paused and blushed slightly. "I apologize for what you had to see back there, by the way. Me holding her, calling her pet...I needed to do it to persuade her to trust me."

"I understand," you said with a slight nod. "It hurt more than I'd like to admit but I know it wasn't real. Plus, I mean, you did take a bullet for me - six, actually. I think I can find it in me to forgive all of that."

"Good," Loki murmured, guilt shadowing his face. "I hated every moment of it. I'm glad it is over."

"But...but she can't hurt you anymore right?"

Loki squeezed your hand. "No, sweetheart. We're both safe. She can't hurt either of us anymore."

"I want her dead," you mumbled.

Loki brushed some hair away from your face and sighed, shaking his head. "You are too good for death. It is the same with Michael. Your heart is pure. I cannot taint it with death."

"She almost killed you," you growled.

"And she tried to kill you. I want nothing more than to see her cold and dead in the ground. But death will find her in time." Loki smiled and smoothed the hard lines away from your face. "I promise you that, but for now, she will get something even worse than death - a life of being undesirable, unwanted, and scorned. She will never find happiness. She will be miserable for the rest of her days and she cannot get close to either of us without feeling pain. You may want her dead and gone, but this is an even worse punishment for her to serve. It will be long, tragic, and painful. Not a day will go by where she isn't paying for what she did to you. Besides, my savage little warrior got some brutal blows in. I'm so proud of you."

"Well, when you put it like that," you laughed sadly.

"You're safe, kitten. I'm safe. There is no need to fear her," Loki promised you.

"Well, I think that calls for a celebration...and an intimate reunion." You slid off of the couch so you were also on your knees in front of Loki. You placed your hands on his chest and looked up at him through your lashes. "Master."

Loki looked away, his brows furrowed. "No, darling. I am not your Master. I have lost that privilege. I did not protect you and care for you as I promised I would. A good Master would not fail like I did"

"Hey." You cupped his face and turned his gaze back towards you. "You can't punish yourself forever. I told you that I forgive you. I want you, Loki, every part of you. I want you as my friend, my ally, my protector, my lover, my Master...my husband and the father of my children, when we get there."

"You still want that?" Loki asked in a soft, broken voice. You smoothed your thumbs over his face and took in the beauty of him. You missed looking into his eyes, getting lost in those green irises. You brushed your fingers over his nose, his dark eyebrows, his high cheekbones. Loki was here. He was in front of you again. And you loved him fiercely. He had hurt you, broken you, left you feeling alone, but in the end, he came back. You understood why he left, and while you wished he would have told you about all of this from the beginning, you could also see why he was afraid to.

The God of Mischief and Sex afraid. It was an odd notion. He was always so cool and confident but you could see past that. You could see the image of a man who just wanted to be loved for who he was, what he was, despite all the destruction he could bring. Inside of that cocky god was someone who needed reassurance, love, care. You wanted to be the person that brought him that.

He felt pain when he left you. He turned to alcohol. Even now, as you looked at him, you could see the effects of his departure. His skin was paler and his cheeks were more hollowed out. The usual twinkle in his eyes was faded and his hands trembled slightly as they held you, no doubt from his anxiety.

"I do," you whispered. "I want you more than anything."

"Do you still want to be my pet?" Loki asked, his hands squeezing your hips.

Your smile was bright as you nodded. "Yes, Master."

Loki surged forward and pressed his lips to yours. You both froze, almost in disbelief that this was actually happening. The feeling of Loki's lips on yours again after so long was indescribable. Those soft, beautiful lips were warm against yours and you immediately melted against him. You pulled Loki closer to you as you kissed him, your arms wrapping around his neck. Loki's body was flush against yours as he moved his lips with yours, fever in his touch. You could feel the air leaving your body but you didn't care. You were kissing Loki again and you never wanted it to end.

"Fuck, I missed this," Loki groaned against your mouth. His fingers were clawing at your body. You could feel the desperation of his fingers through your clothing. You reluctantly pulled away, catching your breath as you stared into Loki's wide, aroused eyes.

"Take me to bed, Loki," you whispered, tangling your fingers in his dark hair. "Please."

"What the lady wants..." Loki swept you up off the floor and sent you a dazzling smile. "The lady gets."

You laughed as he carried you into your room. You gasped when you saw your bookcase, destroyed and broken into pieces but it filled you with warmth knowing the lengths Cooper went to in order to keep you safe. You turned back to Loki and tightened your hold on him, your body pressing harder against his. Loki closed the door with his foot before literally throwing you onto the bed. You bounced on the bed as Loki crawled over you, a hunger in his eyes that had you shivering with want. You grabbed him and kept his body against you as he kissed you, wanting to feel the weight of him, the tangibility of him.

"Loki..." you whimpered "The spell. The contraceptive spell."

Loki placed his hand on your stomach and his palm glowed ever so slightly. "Done. It's back. No baby for us."

"Not yet," you whispered.

"Not yet," Loki agreed with a soft smile.

He dove back in to kiss you. His hands maneuvered their way around your body. Loki was moaning into your mouth as he rocked his hard cock against you. You spread your legs and wrapped them around Loki's waist, using the heels of your feet to press into his ass and keep him against you. Loki bit your lip and you gasped his name, your hands tightening in his hair.

"Every day, I pictured you in my bed. I imagined what it would be like to kiss you again, to feel your body, and now you're here and I truly don't know where to begin," Loki admitted, pulling away with flushed cheeks. You took his hand and placed them on your sweater.

"Taking off my clothes would be a good start," you chuckled.

Loki's lips curled into a smirk and he winked. "Good idea."

With that, Loki grabbed your sweater and ripped it in half, right down the middle. You moaned, your core growing even wetter at his display of strength. Loki cupped your breasts and began massaging them through your bra. He looked up at you, silently asking for permission. You nodded and Loki ripped the bra in half as well. He waved his hand and the remnants of your torn shirt and bra faded away.

"Look at you," Loki growled. "So beautiful for your Master."

"Touch me, Loki," you moaned, arching up into his hands. Loki groped your breasts, his thumbs teasing your nipples. You writhed around, your body sensitive after not being touched for so long. You felt yourself clenching, your underwear completely soaked. Loki licked his lips and bent his head down. He took your nipple into his mouth and sucked it. You felt his cock twitch in his pants and you bucked against it, desperate for some sort of friction.

"So fucking perfect," Loki groaned, giving your other nipple the same attention he gave the first. Your body felt hot with desire and you needed Loki to soothe it. But Loki was insistent on giving your breasts divine attention, lavishing them with licks and bites and kisses. You whined and Loki cooed, lifting his head and smiling down at you. "What is it, baby?"

"I need you, Loki. Please," you cried. "Touch me."

"I am."

"Put your mouth on me."

"I did."

"Fuck me!"

"I will."

Loki slid down and ripped your pants off of you, leaving you completely bare. His eyes wandered over your body and he began shaking his head. You looked down at yourself, suddenly feeling self conscious. You worried your lip as you looked away, but Loki quickly gripped your chin and forced you to look back at him.

"I am the luckiest man to have ever existed," he whispered. "You are so fucking beautiful. I love you so much, little one."

"I love you, Loki," you said softly.

"You're mine," Loki purred. He dipped his head down and kissed your neck. You let your head roll back, giving Loki more room to kiss. And then, he latched onto you in his spot - the skin just above your pulse. He sucked the skin, biting it, licking it, kissing it. You smiled and began laughing with ecstasy. He was marking you, giving you a bruise, a piece of him to carry on your body. When he pulled away, Loki lifted a dark brow. "What's so funny?"

"Nothing. It just...it feels so good to have you here again," you said. You tangled your fingers in his hair and rolled him over so you were on top of him. "My turn."

You latched onto his neck and bruised him, making sure to add in extra biting because you knew how much he loved the pain. Loki moaned, his fingers raking down your spine. You rolled your wet cunt against his cock, still clothed and covered. Loki's hands grabbed your hips and rolled you onto your side. He kissed you as he buried one hand between your legs and began fingering you.

"Oh, fuck," you moaned, wrapping one leg around Loki's hips as he pumped his fingers inside of you. You grabbed his tunic and tugged at it. "Off. I need this off."

"Needy pet," Loki chuckled. He magicked his clothing off, leaving him naked on the bed with you. You ran your hands over his abdomen, tears springing into your eyes when you saw his smooth, unblemished skin. There were no bullet wounds, no scars, nothing to indicate that Gretchen had ever hurt him.

And it was because of you.

You saved his life, he had told you that. You were the one who cradled him in your kitchen while you administered the Livets Blomst pearl to him. Your emotions were all over the place as you buried your face in Loki's chest, crying softly as he curled two fingers inside of you. Your leg trembled and you rocked down on his fingers.

"Gods, Loki, more. I need more," you sobbed.

"Hush, little one," Loki whispered, kissing the top of your head. He paused his ministrations inside of you, electing to remove his fingers so he could hold you.

"I need you, Loki. Please, take me. I need you." You grabbed at his skin but Loki continued to cradle you against his body. Your fight grew weaker as you wrapped your arms around him, holding him against your body. You listened to the steady thrum of his heartbeat, a reminder that he was alive and here with you. "I could have lost you."

"You could have but you didn't," Loki said, rubbing your back. "I'm here. I'm right here."

"I need to feel you," you gasped, looking up at Loki from your spot in his chest. There were tears falling down his own face. You brushed them away with your thumbs. Loki took your hand in his and brought it to his lips. He kissed your fingers and nuzzled his nose against your warm skin.

"I am so terrified of losing you," Loki whispered.

"You don't need to lose me. We're together, we're okay," you murmured, stretching up and kissing him. Unlike your lustful, hungry kisses from before, this one was slow and intimate. Loki's hands were gentle on you. You could feel his love and need for you as you smoothed your hands along him. You ran your hands down his arms but froze when your palm collided with something sticky. You pulled back and jumped when you saw a large, bleeding bite mark in Loki's forearm. "Loki, your arm! I thought you healed that!"

"No, darling. Leave it," Loki said, staring down at the bite. "Let it serve as a reminder of my wrongdoings, a warning not to mess up again, or else his teeth will be buried into my chest next time."

"I wouldn't let him do that," you laughed, wiping your hand on the sheets. Loki waved his hand and your hand and the sheets were clean of blood, though his arm was not. Your smile softened as you reached down and wrapped your hand around Loki's hard cock. He moaned as he slid his fingers back inside of you. Together, you pleasured each other, absorbing one another's moans and desire. His fingers were deliberate, curling and prodding you in all of the places he knew he loved most - he hadn't forgotten a single spot of weakness. Your hand was careful, sliding over the silky skin of his cock with the intention of reminding him that even though you were his submissive, his pet, you were still strong enough to bring him to his knees.

The way you touched each other was like a dance. He pushed, you pulled, you pushed, he pulled. Your bodies collided and moved, knees bumping together, foreheads brushing, breath mingling. Your hip rocked against his, his feet tangled with yours, and your eyes only broke contact when one of you would shut them in bliss. You felt so good, so attended to, so loved. With your bodies wrapped around each other, there was no part of you that didn't feel absorbed by Loki.

"Master..." you moaned as you flicked your wrist, pumping your hand over his cock. "Make me yours. Fuck me."

"Oh, yes, little one. I can't wait a second longer," Loki growled, slipping his hand from you. You braced yourself on his bicep as he slid his cock inside of you. You moaned, your forehead pressing to Loki's as you felt that familiar fullness inside of you. It hurt after not being taken for so long, but you loved the sting. Loki paused, his breath coming out heavier as he buried himself inside of you. "You feel like a tight little virgin."

"You feel so big," you whimpered. You rocked your hips down and whined. "Loki..."

"Hush, pet. Let me enjoy having my cock inside of you again. It has been so long because of my own faults. I need to feel my good little girl again," Loki purred, dipping down to kiss your neck. You scratched your nails down his arms as his cock gently pulsed inside of you, twitching and leaking with precum. Admittedly, you needed the time to adjust to him. His cock was so big and after not being fucked over and over again, your body needed to remember his size. But after a few moments, you could sense Loki was getting restless. His hips were beginning to shift and his eyes were glazing over. With a grin, Loki gripped your hips and rolled you on top of him. "Ride me, pet. Take what you need. I'm all yours."

You were quick to place your hands on Loki's pectorals and lift yourself almost completely off of his cock. You whispered his name, dark and sultry, before sliding back down so he was fully hilted. Loki's back arched off the bed as his nails bit into your hips. You continued to ride him, doing exactly what he told you to - taking what you needed. You rode him hard, your cunt squeezing him and gushing over him. His hands switched between holding your hips, smacking your ass, and groping your breasts. You were intoxicated with the feeling of him and you desired him everywhere.

"Feels so good, Loki," you moaned, riding him faster. Your thighs were trembling and your breathing was labored. You scratched down his chest, leaving red lines in the wake of your nails. Loki hissed but he fucked up into you, meeting the bounce of your hips. The feeling of him thrusting into you set off a switch in you that had you groaning. "Master! Oh, fuck me, Master, please."

Loki growled as he sat up, his chest pressed to yours. You tangled your fingers in his hair as he grabbed your hips. He fucked up into your body, your own body held above his. His cock pistoned in and out of you, filling you with so much pleasure that you were nearly delirious. You crushed your lips to Loki's, moaning into his mouth. Pulling away, you rested your forehead on Loki's.

"Your pussy is so tight, little girl. How I've missed fucking this wet cunt. No one could ever compare to your delectable little body," Loki panted, slamming you down on his large cock.

"Did you fuck anyone while you were on Asgard?" you asked. "Did you think of me while you did it?"

"I didn't fuck anyone. I couldn't. I belonged to you," Loki admitted. His eyes opened as he bit your lips. "Forever and always, pet."

"Gods," you cried out, tightening your grip on his hair as he fucked you. "I need...I'm going to..."

"Cum, little one. Cum all over my cock and I'll give you what you want," Loki growled. The wiry hairs at the base of his cock tickled your clit. "Cum. Do it. Cum for me. Cum for your Master. Be a good girl now."

"Loki!" you shouted as you clamped around him and came. Loki moaned, his thrusts never halting. Your orgasm was intense and powerful, causing your entire body to shake. You rested your head on Loki's shoulder as he continued to pound into you. You turned your head and kissed his neck. "Cum inside of me, Master. Fill me with your cum."

"Fuck!" It was all you needed to do to set Loki off. He slammed you down onto his cock as he came inside of you. You grinned, clenching your cock purposefully around him to receive more of his cum. You missed this feeling, that warmth leaking inside of you and spreading throughout your body. Heat blossomed with you as you soaked up Loki's cum. You continued to kiss his neck as Loki came down from his high. After a few moments, Loki collapsed down onto the bed with you still on top of him. He went to slide out of you and you whined, but Loki shook his head. "It's been a while, pet. You're going to be sore."

"Fine," you said with a pout. Loki pecked your lips as he slid out of you. You rolled onto your side, curling into Loki's body. You kissed his skin with a smile. "I love you, Loki."

"I love you too, my sweet," Loki said, holding you close to his body.

You were quiet for a moment before you peered up at him. "You really didn't sleep with anyone while you were away?"

"No, beloved, I didn't. All I wanted was you," Loki said. He looked down at you hesitantly. "And did you...?"

"No." You shook your head. "I didn't. I couldn't even get out of bed."

"I'm so sorry," Loki murmured. "I hurt you so badly."

"It's okay. You're here now and you're staying, right?" you asked. But Loki was quiet. His eyes had shifted away from you. You perched yourself up on your elbow so you could look down at Loki. "I said, you're staying, right?"

"Sweetheart, I don't know if I can," he whispered.

"What? No! No, you're not leaving me again!" you shouted. "You gave me your pendant again! You...you slept with me! You told me you loved me! You can't just leave! Was that all a lie?"

"Darling, no." Loki sat up and took your hands in his. "I do love you and I do want you to be mine. I just don't know if it's wise for me to stay when Midgard is still poisoned with my magic. I think it would be best if I leave for a while. I'll still watch over you. Maybe visit every now and then. But until these flares are gone, I can't stay."

"Please don't go," you whispered. "I can't live without you."

"Pet..."

"You can't go!" you sobbed, flinging your arms around Loki. You cried into his shoulder as he held you. "I love you too much. Please don't leave me. I can't be without you. I need you, Loki. I love you so fucking much."

"I love you, darling, but I must go," Loki sighed, tears in his eyes. "You're the most important thing in my life. I can't let you get hurt anymore because of me. There's no other option."

"I think there is."

You and Loki gasped at the sound of a mysterious voice in the room. There was a shimmer of gold light at the foot of the bed. Loki shoved you behind him as he summoned a dagger in his hand and his armor onto his body. The look in his eyes was ferocious as he guarded you with his whole body, ready to embrace danger just to protect you again. The gold shimmering slowly began to fade, leaving the image of a beautiful woman in its wake. Loki's eyes widened and his jaw dropped.

"Mother?" he whispered.

"Hello, son," Frigga said with a smile. "I heard you were having some trouble here. I think I know just how to help."
