CHEONGNAN—————————
(HELP IDK HOW TO DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP)
Last night was an, odd experience. This place is pretty-ish.

Thats a lie its ugly as fuck. That's probably because we came here in the spring. But springs supposed to be nice, refreshing, colourful, and sunny. It's rainy grey cold and soggy.

Me and on-jo are the only ones awake. I got up at 9am, i thought everyone else was up too. Turns out they're all exhausted. It's 11am now.

"Do you remember where namras room is"

"Oh yeah her rooms beside Suhyeoks, up and right in the middle to the left"

"Sweet, thanks cheongsan! Im gonna go see her, she's probably up already but if shes not ill wake her up."

"Okok do your own thing onjo"

I went back to looking at the window, hearing her footsteps go up the stairs. Im alone.
Its funny, im not used to being alone anymore. Ive become so accustomed to gyeonsu or Suhyeok sleeping beside me, constantly having someones shoulder by mine, The guys walking side by side, hearing everyones breaths, and just the presence of everyone.

But its silent, this place is massive. I cant hear anyone. Just the faintest sounds of life outside. Birds, cars, wind.

I should probably make some food. Im pretty sure they put food in here already. It's supposed to perfectly fit any allergies we have. Lets hope its not all organic sugar free shit.

45 minutes

Ive quickly learned, im just too good at cooking. Genetics are forever in my favour. My mom running a restaurant has made me learn how to make many recipes. It actually helped in math when i was younger. I could just imagine some fractions as measuring cups, people thought i was smart. I was really just doing what my mom showed me. When things were normal, our house had a constant smell of delicious food. In the morning you'd wake up to the smell of cinnamon rolls, pancakes, waffle, sugar, or bacon. When coming back from school id be welcomed by whatever my mom was cooking.

I miss it, but theres nothing i can do to bring it back. Its gone, and it can never come back. Not in the same way at-least. But what i can do, is make that for someone else. Im Making cinnamon toast. The other will wake up and come downstairs smelling something warm and comforting.  They wont need to wake up to a dry mouth on a hard school floor, with the smell of rotten flesh flooding their noses the moment they're aware of their breathing.

Im crying.
im actually crying. I only realized because my tears hit my hand. I cant tell if its out of sadness or of pure joy of being out of the hellish situation. But its nice to let myself cry for once. I don't need to think about someone thinking im weak or incapable. I don't feel pressured to just power through it for the benefit of everyone else, like the camp was pushing us to do.

————-SUHYEOK

I woke up feeling pretty good for the first time in a while, i didn't wake up with an uncomfortable pain in my neck or feeling cold and stiff. I got a pretty nice bed, the sheets are perfect for the temperature inside. And the pillows are brand new so they dont feel hard.

But somethings missing, i've become so accustomed to sleeping with someone. Because at the school we always slept together, and in the camp we slept in the same tent. Im so used to the presence of someone else. But im alone, its weird.

After 20 something minutes i finally got up, walking downstairs theres the scent of bacon.
Cheongsan? I didn't think he'd be up. Normally he sleeps in pretty late. I guess today's different. whatever he's making smells amazing.

"Hey cheongsan"
I better talk softly, don't wanna startle him.

"Oh, hey Suhyeok. You're up"
He's pretty focused on his cooking.

"Yeah woke up a little bit ago, from what i can tell we're the only ones up"

"Nope. Onjos up, shes just in namras room"

"Ohhhh"
"Watcha cooking?"

"Just a pretty basic breakfast bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, and french toast."

"Let me seeeee"

"Looks good!"
I put my arm around him

"Thanks! Ive been working pretty hard"
His voice is kinda shaky.

I finally looked up, and i can tell why. His eyes are a bit puffy and red. I can still see the tears on his face.

(3rd person)

Cheongsan looked away from Suhyeok but it changed nothing. Suhyeok saw, he saw how sad he was. How was he going to explain this?

Suhyeok was worried, he was really worried. But he knows cheongsan isn't the kind of guy that talks about his emotions often or openly. But he needs to help him.

Suhyeok reached out and grabbed cheongsans hand. They didn't need words then. They just needed each other. And that was perfect.

Cheongsan stopped crying, but Suhyeok didn't let go.

"Suhyeok, i need to dish out the food i cant do it with one hand"

"Ok"
Suhyeok was pouting like a child. Cheongsan found it cute and smiled at him

"Dont be a baby about it, just help me and go wake up the others"

Cheongsan laughed at the end of his sentence. This is what Suhyeok wanted. He knew that talking would just be uncomfortable so making him laugh is the best replacement.

-later-

Suhyeok got everyone up and they all started eating at the massive dinner table.

"Holy shit this is actually really good!"
Mijin said that after she took her first bite.

"Of course it is. Having a chef for a mom didn't teach me nothing!"

"Look im just saying, you don't seem like the kind of guy that would be good at this stuff"

"Oh fuck you"
Cheongsan threw a piece of bacon at her, he missed of course. But he tried.

"Thanks for cooking cheongsan"
Onjos policy is to always be polite to whoever makes food. Mainly because she hates cooking.

"Yeah thanks man"
After that, a couple variations of thank you was mentioned then they all sat and ate in silence.

Cheongsan got up to wash his dishes. After he dried his hands he felt someone grab his hand. He saw Suhyeok smiling at him like an idiot. Cheongsan laughed a little and went to his room. Suhyeok following beside him. Hands interlocking while they walked away.

"You know, while we were trapped in the school. I had hope we'd get out. But this? I never thought I'd be able to eat with everyone and just be happy."

Suhyeok was laying o Cheongsans bed while the other was at his desk. Cheongsan turned around and started for a little. Suhyeok was looking up at the ceiling.

"I thought the same in the camp. Our lives are having constant plot twists i swear."

"You say that like we're in a drama"
Suhyeok laughed and sat up so his back was on the wall.

"May as well be. We lived our lives perfectly normally. Then suddenly we were fighting zombies and trying to escape from our school. Next thing we know we're being sent to a whole new country to start a new life."
Cheongsan got up and sat beside Suhyeok.

"I guess you're right. I still haven't processed it all yet honestly."

"Me neither, not completely. But i know its gonna work out. We have plot armour now!"
Cheongsan made Suhyeok genuinely laugh.

They talked for a while, eventually onjo called everyone down.

"Alright i know we literally just got here but, unfortunately living together means we have to assign chores and responsibilities"

"Ah fuckkkk"
Everyone was thinking it and dausu said it

"I can be in charge of cooking and dishes"
Cheongsan knew out of everyone there he would be the best for those jobs.

"Cooking seems fine, but i think we should all have dish nights."

After a long discussion they got a system going.

Dishes
Monday- Hyo-ryung and dae-su
Tuesday- gyeon-su and Suhyeok
Wednesday-on-jo and nam-ra
Thursday-mi-jin and ha-ri
Friday- whoever loses rock paper scissors
Sat/sun- cheongsan.

Cooking- cheong-san
Sweeping/moping- dae-su
Trash-Suhyeok
Recycling- nam-ra and on-jo
Anything else- whoever loses rock paper scissors

As teens they put both a fuck ton and no thought into this.

"While everyones down here, I'm gonna go explore the town. Anyone wanna come with me?"
Gyeonsu doesn't like being alone while going out.

"Im gonna rest for a bit"

"Yeah me too, im still tired honestly"

Everyone but Suhyeok said they wouldn't come, but as the curious guy he is. He agreed.

——————————————————————————

"Where do you wanna go first?"

"It was your idea to go, i thought you had a plan"

"Oh come on, you know me"

"You're right, what about a gift shop or convenience store?"

"Sure ill google some around us"

Suhyeok and gyeonsu started walking to the closest convenience store. It wasn't too far away from their house.

"No way! They have so many foods we had in Hyosan!"
Gyeonsu was really excited by this.

"Mmhm"
Suhyeok saw a couple of his favourite foods.

"How much should we get?"

"Dude, we have so much from our food budget for the month already. AND extra cash. We can get whatever the hell we want"

"Heh i guess you're right gyeonsu"

Suhyeok started to grab some foods, then he noticed cheongsans favourite snacks.

"Hey, Suhyeok. I thought you didn't like that kind of chips?"

"I dont, but Cheongsan does"

"Oooooo getting some food for your boyfrienddddd"

"Shut up man!"
Suhyeok was laughing.

"You're blushing! Omg are you guys actually together?!"

"Gyeonsu shut up!"
Suhyeok whisper yelled

"Oh come on dude no one here speaks korean"

"I hate you"

"Love you too man, and, cheongsan prefers the strawberry version of that drink"

"Burn in hell"
