Chapter One

Blaine is sitting at breakfast with the other Warblers, tapping his fingers on the table in anticipation.

"Geez, Blaine. What's with the hyperness?" Jeff asks.

"First off, that isn't a word, second, that really means something coming from Jeff." Nick jokes, nudging the blonde.

"My boyfriend's transferring to Dalton today. I'm so excited. He's supposed to be here soon." Blaine says, causing the other boys to roll their eyes.

"You mean with the voice like an angel?" Wes asks, eyebrows raised.

"The one that's super cheery, a literal ray of sunshine?" David teases.

"The one that's hotter than the sun, with an amazing body?" Jeff adds, wiggling his eyebrows.

"The one who's eyes hold the entire oceans in them, allowing you to get lost in them forever?" Nick finishes.

"Please tell us more, I don't believe we know him." Jeff says sarcastically.

Blaine sighs. "You guys don't understand. He's so perfect, he always knows exactly what to say to cheer me up. He's just amazing, I can't describe him. I can't wait for you guys to see him."

Nick raises an eyebrow. "You mean meet him. We've seen plenty of pictures of him before."

Suddenly, the PA system sounds. "May I have Jeffery Sterling to my office, please?" The Headmaster asks.

Blaine looked confused, and the others roar with laughter.

"Blaine, did you know that it was you who was showing Kurt around or just guess?" Jeff asked, highly amused.

Blaine shakes his head, but can't stop smiling. "Fine, I'll go with you and wait outside."

When they reach the office, Blaine quickly composes himself and Jeff opens the door. "You wished to see me?" Jeff asked.

"Yes. There's a new student that I need you to show around. He will be in your dorm. Jeffrey Sterling, meet Kurt Hummel." The Headmaster said.

Jeff turned and saw a boy standing there. He fit the pictures Blaine had shown them, but he was a bit skinnier and paler. He was also extremely nervous.

Jeff outstretched his hand. "You can call me Jeff, everybody does. It's nice to meet you, although I feel like I already have, seeing as Blaine never shuts up about you."

The Headmaster laughed at this and Kurt let out a weak smile, shaking Jeff's hand.

"I assume you know Mr. Anderson, then?" The Headmaster asked, a twinkle in his eye.

Kurt nodded. "Yes, he's actually the reason my dad chose Dalton for me. We're dating." Jeff noted the hesitant pause between 'we're' and 'dating,' as if he was afraid of people's reactions.

"Well, I better let you get settled in. I'm sure Blaine is waiting to see you."

"Knowing him, he's outside the office, waiting to see me." Kurt said, sounding amused.

They headed out of the office and Kurt was tackled in a hug by Blaine. Jeff noticed that the boy tensed up and tried to gently push Blaine off. "Blaine." He said quietly. He was quickly released from the embrace, Blaine noticing his discomfort.

"I know, you're not really a hugging person, I'm sorry, I'm just so happy to see you!" Blaine was practically jumping with joy.

Kurt laughed, a genuine laugh. "I'm glad to see you too. So this is the mighty Dalton, huh?" He looked around the halls in awe.

"Yep! Oh, we should show you to our dorm." Blaine tried to grab his hand and lead him there, but Kurt pulled him back.

"Wait a minute, I haven't seen you forever, don't I get a proper greeting?" Kurt fake-pouted. Blaine laughed, leaning in and kissing the boy.

When the broke apart, Blaine smiled. "So, dorms?"

Kurt wiggled his eyebrows. "Ooh, if you insist."

This cause Jeff and Blaine to laugh, showing the boy to their dorm.

When they reached it, Jeff opened the door, revealing that the others were back from lunch already.

"Oh, so this is the famous Kurt!" Thad declared joyfully. Kurt and Blaine blushed, and the others were set into a fit of laughter.

"Yes, that would be me." Kurt turned to Blaine, putting a hand on his chest in mock-horror. "Unless there's another Kurt?!"

This caused the boys to laugh even more, as Blaine shook his head and walked over to Kurt. "No, there's only you."

He kissed Kurt on the forehead, knowing how uncomfortable the boy was with kissing on the lips in front of other people.

Kurt smiled. "Good. There's only you for me, too." He laughed. "Actually, if I think about it, there probably isn't another Kurt or Blaine in the whole state of Ohio. We have very unusual names."

Blaine laughed as well. "True that."

"Can you feel, the gay tonight," Thad sung softly, causing everyone to crack up laughing.

Blaine rolled his eyes. "And you claim to be straight. Singing randomly? I don't know, Thad..." He joked.

The boy just laughed. "Don't worry, I'm the one that says they're straight and is actually straight. Unlike our dear Wevid here..." He dramatically swung his head over to look at two boys.

"For the last time, I have a girlfriend!" One of them said, cheeks heating up rapidly.

"Ooh, something to tell us, David?" Nick asked jokingly. The other boy just laughed. Kurt walked over to his suitcase, unnoticed by the others, his eyes watering slightly. He didn't know why he was so damn touchy.

"I wouldn't be at an all-boys school, Nick. Besides, if I wasn't straight, I could do a lot better than Wes." David joked.

Wes put a hand to his heart, repeating what Kurt had done earlier. "I'm hurt, David!"

"What if you are straight and it's Wes that has something to tell us?" Thad mused jokingly.

Wes blushed deeply, spluttering indignantly. The other boys went into fits of laughter, except Kurt. He merely wiped a tear from his face and sniffed slightly, continuing unpacking.

Jeff heard him sniff, being the closest to Kurt, and turned around. "You okay, Kurt?" He asked.

The other's attention was turned to Kurt, who continued unpacking. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, just allergies."

"I didn't know you had allergies." Blaine frowned. Kurt turned to him, smiling.

"Well, that's part of why I transferred to Dalton, isn't it? We can get to know each other more than we already do."

Jeff chuckled. "Mhm, you'll also be in a dorm room that's empty most of the time, able to have fun."

Blaine immediately blushed, but Kurt turned back to his packing. "That's only you and Nick, Jeff." He said, causing the others to laugh.

"I mean, no adults will ever walk in, and everyone knows you two are dating. You can easily share a bed." Thad pointed out.

Kurt stood up suddenly, turning to him and shaking his head. "We won't share a bed."

Blaine cocked his head to the side, looking at Kurt. "Why not?"

"You know I'm not really a hugging person, sharing a bed is bound to lead to cuddling, which is like long-term hugging." This wasn't really the reason, but it was the best Kurt could think of.

"Shouldn't not liking hugging be different with your boyfriend? I mean, I'm no expert, but..." Thad trailed off.

Kurt immediately looked at him. "It's who I am, Thad. Don't question it." His tone was a bit sharp, and nobody inquired further.

Blaine just looked at his boyfriend, confused. Why didn't he like hugging?

"Maybe you should be hugged more, and get used to it." Jeff suggested.

Kurt looked at him. "I can't tell if you're joking or not."

"That's an extremely Jeff-like idea, actually. David and I used to fight so he handcuffed us together." Wes gave Jeff a small glare. "You know, I still haven't forgiven you for that."

David shrugged. "I don't know, it wasn't that bad."

"Yes, it wasn't that bad, but I'm still mad at Jeff for doing it without our permission." Wes said, looking at David, who nodded.

"Yeah, that makes sense."

"Jeff, I swear, if I wake up duct-taped to Kurt so I have to hug him all day, you'll get it." Blaine was half-joking, half-playfully threatening.

Jeff laughed. "Don't worry, part of my methods is that it doesn't disrupt school, so the teachers don't have a reason to do anything about it. I would probably just instruct everyone to come up and hug Kurt randomly."

Kurt paled at the thought of that. "Jeff, I swear, if you tell people to hug me, I will make you a countertenor for the rest of your life."

Jeff laughed, until he realized Kurt wasn't  joking. "Um, okay. Scratch that idea. Blaine, your boyfriend is scary."

"He's only scary if you disrespect his boundaries." Blaine said. "Plus, that's a well-deserved punishment."

"Thank you, Blaine." Kurt said, going back to unpacking.
