Naptime

Before going into the opened vent, I had the urge to look at my phone. I noticed that the time on my phone was frozen, probably meaning I would return at the same time that I left. The screen turned to static after a moment, and I felt like I was stuck staring staring at it. My vision became as if i took hallucinogens, and I felt my skin tingling. I closed my eyes, and tried to shake the feeling away, but I couldn't move.

I opened my eyes and found myself in a corridor, the same one Mono had in his dream. I walked towards the door at the end at a painfully slow speed. I pulled down the handle and cautiously pushed the door open.

On a chair with purple light illuminating him, was Mono. He glanced up at me, blinked, and hopped down before quickly walking over. I figured he might have pent up anger from Six abandoning him.

"Why are you scared?" He asked. His voice sounded rather innocent, not like someone corrupted with anger.

"Oh, I was just thinking that you had pent up anger after what Six did." I answered.

"Understandable, but I'm not mentally screwed by the tower yet, not enough time has passed by for me to be that hateful against her." He told me.

I was about to talk with him more, until I felt like I was being pulled from all directions.

"It looks like they're getting you out, was nice meeting you face to face though." He said right before I came out a similar way I went in.

I was back in the room where we cut off the janitor's arms. I found myself in Six's arms and my cell phone in Seven's hands.

"Uhh, what is this thing? Is it a pocket television?" Seven asked me, fiddling with the device.
"It's a cell phone." I answered, "This particular kind works as a dozen other things too."

"Cool..." Seven said as he handed it back to me. I looked back at Six, who had a slight frown on her face.

"Wanna just keep going?" I asked, gesturing to the hatch on the wall, and she slowly nodded in return.

Seven went in the hatch first, then I hoisted Six up after him before entering. At the end, we encountered a ladder that lead up to a hatch. Through the hatch was a row of hooks, many carrying meat sacks, being hauled through an opening to another area which was inaccessible by foot.

I yawned, and realized that we had been traveling for a few hours, which if I were at home it would have been bedtime for me.

"Either of you tired?" I asked the two children.
"No, I woke up a few hours ago," replied Seven, "It's too early for me to feel tired, but you can nap for a moment if you want to."

I nodded, and leaned against the wall, closing my eyes. In my sleep I saw Mono again, but without the tugging/slowing feeling I felt previously.

"I know you're probably wondering how you got here." He said.

"Wait, you knew!?" I was surprised, and not surprised at the same time. "Could you explain? Preferably from the start."

"Well," he started, "As you may know, I am one of many Monos in an endless loop, and didn't want to be trapped for decades, only to get killed by another Mono. So, I went searching for a possible way out, found that I technically didn't exist, then I found you. You seemed like a good pick since you were slightly obsessive of the game at the time, but also had good self control."

"Can you elaborate on finding me? And what do you mean about not existing?" I asked.

"Well, I found that I only exist within a game, and decided that a fan of said game would be most suitable, but I had to narrow it down to those I found capable, since most don't often deal with scenarios like mine or Six's." He replied.

"Alright, and how did I get to the Maw specifically?" I asked. I was getting increasingly more curious.

"Well, I was unsure of Six's whereabouts before or after that, I only knew what happened in the first, second, and mobile games as well as the comics. It's difficult to explain how I obtained that knowledge, it kinda came when I discovered the truth. Anyways, The Maw was the only place I knew Six would be after leaving Pale City, and I decided to put you in a familiar spot, at the beginning." He explained.

The long dialogue has ended, your eyes can rest now.

I nodded, showing that I understood at least a bit, before my vision got blurry.

"Well, nice talkin for a bit, see ya." Mono said as the purple room turned to black.

I opened my eyes, to find Six sitting patiently beside me, and Seven peering through the opening towards the kitchen (next area). I turned my head to see Six turn towards me.

"Feeling better?" She asked.
"Yup." I muttered quietly, as I got up and stretched.

Seven gestured for me to come to the opening.
"Hey," he said, "Let's go separately, and not put our weight on two arms."

I nodded, and proceeded. A thought sprang into my head as I rode past the abyss: what happens at the end? Do I stay here or do they come with me? I wished I had the time to ask Mono.

I glanced up to see a chef walking into the structure. I knew it would be difficult to avoid an enemy that can see you.

The three of us landed on a pile of wrapped corpses, the fleshy smell filled my nose. It was quite unpleasant, although the other two seemed barely affected by it. Soon after we began walking, I heard a rumble, and Six clutching her stomach.

My heart began racing, I knew what I was about to witness.

That's all for this chapter. If you noticed a decrease in writing quality after the first half, it's because I wrote that part within the last 30 minutes before releasing this chapter (It's 11PM). The first half was written partially a few months ago, then some of it 1 month ago.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this long awaited chapter.
