I smiled happily as I got out from that four-cornered chaotic room. Now, I can go and spend all my remaining free time at my most favorite place in the planet. I skip giddily heading towards there.

"Hi, Zuli," a group of girls, I guess from sophomore or junior, greeted me. I just smiled at them and waved back as I passed by.

Yes, people. I am somewhat popular and I don't even know why. I am not even from the cheerleading squad nor that gorgeous at all. I am just that typical highschooler who just usually dresses up when there's a party or ocassion.

Maybe it's just because my bestfriend is from THAT squad and she is basically THE cheerleader who is currently coming right at me. Her curly, volumous and shiny balayage rose gold blonde hair bouncing.

"How's practice?" I immediately ask as she gets near my vicinity.

"Dreadful," she answers in a deadpan tone while rolling her deep set brown eyes framed with thick and long lashes. "But fun!" she promptly interjects, releasing that warm smile, showing her perfect set of teeth, I have seen since we've first met on our driveway. "Where are you heading to?" she asks.

"The usual," I respond, wiggling my not-so-on-fleek eyebrows. I forgot to tend them today since I was running late.

"Don't forget lunch time, okay?" she reminds me, kissing my right pinkly rosy plump cheek before walking out. "AND DON'T STRESS YOURSELF ON THAT FICTITIOUS GUY, ZULI!" she yells teasingly when she was already a few feet away from me, catching some of peoples' attention in the hallway.

"NO PROMISES!" I shout back, giving off a small chortle.

At the moment I saw Vice Principal Perez got out from his office, I instantly ran away from the crime scene. Good thing there are still a lot of people lingering around the hallway so I didn't have any problem on blending in.

I forgot the rules again. I'm sorry.

"NO SHOUTING IN THE HALLWAY!" Miss Perez exasperatedly shrieks.

"Did you mean giving yourself a detention, Miss Perez?"

I hear one of the students cracks up a joke in his circle of friends. His pals burst out laughing and it made me laugh too.

Later on, I arrive in the library. I inhaled deeply first, trying to sniff on the collections of pages around me.

I exhaled with a smile. That smelled nice.

I march my way towards the librarian's desk while digging something out on my cross-body bag.

"Good morning, Mrs. Heffley," I greet right after I put the book that I have borrowed three days ago.

"Good morning too, Miss Tomlinson," she greets back with full smiles, creating subtle wrinkles around her eyes while her dark orbs sparkle. "Done already?"

I just nod at her profusely. "I heard that it has a fourth book. Do we have it?" I inquire politely.

"Good for you, young lady. Yes, we do have. Actually, I have already got it for you."

"Really, Mrs. Heffley?" I excitedly said, covering my mouth with my left hand.

She turns away from the desk and went towards her table, opening one of her drawers and fishes out a book.

I instantly feel butterflies in my stomach. Somehow I think we don't need guys to feel like that. Well, partly we still need 'em. I am not only thrilled about what would be their fate gonna be but also I like this certain guy from the book. He is this kind of guy which the majority of girls will swoon over for his coolness and brusque attitude. Plus I imagine him as handsome. Well, that's just usually is. Rude guys from the book are likeable and HOT AS FUCK.

"Enjoy drifting off to Fantasy Land," Mrs. Heffley happily said.

"Yeah, I surely will," I replied, waving the book at her.

I went straight to my spot but felt like being kicked out at my own home when I saw a couple wildly making out in the corner.

I was pissed and disgusted at the same time so I grumpily travelled towards the opposite corner of my reading spot in the library. Gladly, there was no more pornographic scene that welcomed me.

I sighed in relief and started to sit in Indian style, leaning my back between bookshelves. I started to fish out my reading glasses from my bag. I honestly wasn't using this one back then. But my mum started to remind me, no, force me to wear it every time I read a book to protect my eyes from any possible defects. Until such time it became a habit of mine to wear one.

Alright! Now, I'm good to go to Fictional World!

I wipe the tear that escaped from my left large wistful blue eye. I stop reading and I take off the glasses to cover my tanned and melancholic facial expression well with both hands.

"How could you, Five?" I sadly blubber, now feeling more horrible from what happened.

I know I shouldn't overreact but I am already attached to the characters. I have enough murders in this story.

I am starting to loathe over Pittacus Lore for killing Eight. I feel terrible for Marina. I feel terrible in behalf of all the Garde.

I was about to destroy the whole library from disappointment and heartbreak when I thought it was Nine who got killed when I skipped three paragraphs before the last part of Chapter 34.

I was even angry with myself for a moment when I felt somewhat joyful when I realized it was Eight who received the sharp, fatal blow.

Suddenly, my phone rings. I answer the call right away when I saw the caller's identity. "Yes, Joanna?"

"Don't you Yes, Joanna me! Do you already know what time it is?" she screams at the phone, getting a hint of her full annoyance.

I look at my phone's top most part. "Shoot. I'm sorry. I was completely sucked in again to the book."

"Yeah, like the last time. No, the other times," emphasizing the 'other times'.

"I'm really sorry. I'm coming," I sincerely apologize, hastily standing up with the book, still in my left hand.

"Then, hurry up! I'm dying here."

I end up the call.

I am about to pick up my bag when something starts glowing from the inside of the book until the whole thing emits a bluish color of light. I let go of it by merely just scared reflexes. You can tell that I am totally freaking out. I begin to look around, hoping that someone is just playing some funny prank on me.

My eyes are immediately glued back on the book again when it starts to flip its pages by its own. And by that, I wanna really get out of here but my legs had gotten paralyzed.

Suddenly, it was starting to get windy. Then, there were somewhat four letters surfacing. Seconds later, I get the message.

C O M E

Meanwhile, a vortex is beginning to emerge, sucking everything that is near it. AND THAT INCLUDES ME. I started to feel so panicky.

I was about to execute my plan of leaving but my right foot has already gotten inside the whirlpool. Until I got out of balance and it was like a super vaccuum, sucking up my whole soul into it.

I wanna dedicate this to QueenOfAthens.
Her critics helped me a lot to improve.
I just wanna show my gratitude 💕💖

So how's my first chapter? Is it good?
Or nah, extremely the opposite? 😭
Anyways, I don't care about harsh criticisms.
I have been dealing with them all my life.
At least, I'll be able to learn something from
it and use it as my stepping stone towards
the epitome of greatness LOL
Say what? 😂

PLEASE DO VOTE, COMMENT AND SHARE!
I think it is not really such a big thing to ask.
