13. My Tutor

TAEHYUNG'S POV

"WAIT WHAT?" I closed my ears while Jimin kept shooting questions about the dinner I had last night. Today morning, my parents confirmed that Jungkook is my tutor and there was nothing I could do about it. My life is ruined.

"Shut up for a second, Jimin," I said and he kept quiet. I sighed in relief and ate my lunch quietly, so did he. The bell rang and I went back to my class. For some reason, Jungkook didn't come to school. According to the entire school, this was the first time he was absent. When Jimin asked Yoongi the reason, he shrugged and said that he probably overslept. The only people capable of doing that are the Min brothers. So Jungkook must be absent for another reason.

We had chemistry now and the questions she was asking sounded alien to me. I looked out of the window and saw the sky had dark, nimbus clouds. It was going to rain for sure. And I don't have an umbrella. I am going to get soaked and probably get cold. That means no school and more time to watch anime.

After few hours of non-stop teaching, the school time ended. It was time to go home. It was raining heavily and I had no umbrella and no raincoat to protect myself from the falling drops.

"Need an umbrella?" I turned back and I saw Jimin holding a purple umbrella which had stars on it. He had the same umbrella since kindergarten, at least that's what his mom told me.

"Yeah. Sorry for shutting you up," I rubbed the back of neck and looked at him. He smiled and hugged me.

"Don't worry. If that playboy does anything to you, stab him with a cross," I giggled at what he said and pulled away from the hug. I smiled and we went out into the rain. The umbrella couldn't protect us both. We were half soaked but that didn't matter. What matter right now was, how to run all the way to my house and not catch a cold and die?

"You can take my umbrella if you want," he handed me the purple thing and I shook my head.

"I am going to run to my house as fast as a ninja, Nin-Nin," I said and made a weird ninja pose. I had no clue what I did, but Jimin laughed till he broke his stomach. I ran to my house, fighting against the raindrops. It was cold and I was shivering badly. Please don't get a cold and die. I still haven't finished watching all my favorite anime.

I finally reached home and pounded on the door. My mother opened the door and glared at me.

"Is it necessary to pound—what the heck is this? Why are you drenched from top to bottom?" Can't you see outside, mom? It is fricking raining!

I went inside and my mom hurriedly fetched a towel to dry myself. I looked down at my shirt and saw it was completely wet and my entire body under the shirt was visible. It was translucent. If I had abs, I would look hot. But I had a normal tummy, so it was just weird...I guess? I dried myself with the towel and went upstairs to change my clothes. I opened the door and when I saw what was inside, I screamed. Screamed at the top of my lungs and probably broke every single human being's eardrums who were currently present in the house. I banged the door shut and raced downstairs.

"WHAT IS THE MATTER—"

"WHAT IS JUNGKOOK DOING IN THERE?" I interrupted my mom and pointed upstairs.

"He came early for doing some project."

"What?"

"And he is here to tutor you," she winked and ran off to the kitchen. I stood there in utter confusion. What? I face-palmed myself and went upstairs. I wish I was dead. I reached for the door knob and then saw my clothes. Shit! I am legit half naked. Not exactly. It was still wet and you could see my tummy and chest. I took my bag and hugged it in front of me and made sure it covered the front part of myself. I opened the door and immediately dashed into the bathroom.

I closed the door shut and sighed in relief. In peace. I quickly took a hot shower and changed into my clothes. After half an hour or less, I came out and saw Jungkook laid down on my bed. He turned his head towards me and smiled.

"Shall we begin?" he asked me and I shrugged.

"Why were you absent?" I asked him. He sat beside me with the laptop in front of us.

"My father was teaching me some business stuff. If I tell you more in detail, you probably will faint," he chuckled and I slammed a book on his face. He took it and threw it at me, but I dodged it. I was a professional dodger thanks to my mom who threw everything at me when she hears my marks.

"You dodged that? Cool," he said and I rolled my eyes.

We sat on the floor and argued whether we should present a natural or man-made disaster. I voted for natural and he voted for man-made.

"Man-made is the best. There are so many in that category," he said and I shook my head.

"Natural is the best. So many people die in natural type of disasters and we have way more information than man-made disaster."

"MAN-MADE."

"NATURAL."

"MAN-MADE."

"NATURAL."

"Why don't we flip a coin and decide?" he took out a coin from his pocket and I nodded.

"I choose head," I said and he flipped the coin. And today, for the first time in my whole life, I won an argument by flipping a coin.

"IT'S HEADS. SO IT IS NATURAL," I laughed like a maniac while he sulked in one corner.

"Whatever," he said and snatched the coin from my hands. I grinned and we went back to researching on the topic. We had to find one natural disaster and that took us around an hour to decide. Before I knew it, it was already six p.m.

"Oh, I completely forgot that I am your tutor," he smirked at me and I rolled my eyes, "What do you want to study today?"

"Anime," I said and he frowned.

"You are pretty bad with math, so let us start with that," he said and pulled out my math textbook from my bag. I cried when I saw that dreadful book which I had several times thrown in the dustbin, but it magically reappeared in my bag the very next day.

"It is haunted," I said and he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"The math textbook," I pointed at the book and he looked at me again. Did he still not understand?

"So?" he asked and I rolled my eyes.

"That thing is haunted. Every time I throw it in the dustbin, it comes back to me," I said and he laughed. This isn't funny!

"Oh my god! You got to be kidding me," he continued to laugh.

"You done?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Let's begin."

For the next two hours, he went all out on me. He kept whacking my shoulder for every wrong answer and kept banging his head on the table when I couldn't remember the formula. Not only was he suffering, so was I. I could barely breathe in the end and my entire brain was paining from so much exercise and problems. I can imagine the headlines: Math killed a poor boy's brain!

"That problem is wrong again. You have solved that five times and yet you can't get it right," he face-palmed himself and I frowned at him.

"You are just a horrible teacher. That's why," I said and he glared at me. Obviously he didn't like the feedback I gave him.

"What's the time?" he asked me and I switched on my phone.

"Nine," I said and he groaned, "You have to go?"

"No shit," he replied and got up, "I have to study some more business stuff with my dad."

Business stuff? Why now?

"Bye-bye then," I waved at him and he rolled his eyes. He walked towards the door and every part of my body was urging him to go away. He touched the doorknob and sighed.

"Taehyung," he said and looked at me, "I need to ask you something."

I stared at him, waiting for him to continue, but he shook his head and left the room. I was completely confused.

What did he want to say to me?

*********

JUNGKOOK'S POV

Ugh! It is already midnight, but I still have to finish the project which father gave me. It was a big one and he expected me to complete it before tomorrow night. I have school work and this. And I am still, what...seventeen years old. I scratched the back of my neck in frustration. This thing is killing me! I wonder whether this was the same way Taehyung felt when he was studying math today.

Taehyung.

I leaned back on my chair and stared at me laptop. I still haven't asked him yet. I opened a drawer and picked an envelope from inside. It was the advance payment his family had given me for tuition. I smiled and chucked it back inside. Even though I am the son of one of the richest human being on this planet, they still want to pay me. Now, back to Taehyung.

I need to ask him before it is too late.
