Laying on the sofa, my weighted blanket comfortably across my legs, multiple videos of people pranking their boyfriend's or dad's with getting charged an insane amount of money for 'premium air' appeared on my for you, giving me the perfect opportunity to prank Carlos.

"Y/N?" Carlos called out upon entering our house, the rustling of bags and slamming off door echoing after his voice.

"In here!" I replied, fighting my way out from under my blanket so I could meet him halfway. An unexpected squeal left my mouth as I fished through the bags he had now placed on the kitchen counter to find those marshmallows I had asked for. His hands wrapped around my waist, his face immediately finding it's place in my neck.

"I can't believe it was so expensive." I said before popping a marshmallow into my mouth to supress the giggles that were fighting their way out of my mouth.

"What was?" His voice sent vibrations down my neck, hot air brushing my neck as he lifted his head and spun me around to face him.

"The air."

"What do you mean?" He began to pull away from me so he could lean against the counter. I placed another marshmallow in my mouth, this time it being raspberry flavoured.

"I mean that it was surprisingly expensive. I didn't expect it to be almost one fifty for all four." I said with a shrug, an innocent look plastered on my face concealing the hysterical laughter going on inside of me.

"That's almost forty per tyre." He closed his eyes whilst doing the maths. "Where did you go?" Carlos's body tensed slightly as he looked me directly in the eyes.

"Uhhh...some place I found on google, don't remember the name. They were super nice though!" A smile found it's way on my face, his eyebrows furrowing and he broke the eye contact to look at the ground, processing.

"It doesn't matter how nice they were." He held his hands up for a brief second to stop any words that were about to make their way out of my mouth. "You paid £150 for all four tyres?" Carlos retraced our sentences.

"Yep." The statement was followed by another marshmallow, at this rate I would finish the whole packet.

"And you thought that was okay because they were nice?" Carlos said hesitantly, each word coming out slower and slower.

"Well that's the average for air right? They said they did it for half price." I shrugged nonchantly, paleness took over his face, the sway in his step unmistakable as he walked over to the sofa.

"It would of been £300?"

"I guess." I would be an amazing actress.

"300? For air?" He repeated.

"Yep, that's what they charge." I shook my head, leaning for another marshmallow that was soon snatched out of my hand.

"Focus." He looked pointedly at me.

"On what?"

"Mi amor... please say this is a joke. Or you at least have a receipt?" Panic was beginning to grow in his voice, the statements coming out as more questions.

"Nope. I forgot my card so I paid in cash." I tilted my head, bringing myself on top of the counter so I could come face to face to him. Carlos took a deep breath, exhaling it heavily, leaving my words to hang in the air for a while.

"He said it was premium air and it was very rare." My head turned downwards, my words coming out less and less clear but he was quick to place his hand under my chin and bring my head back up. The panic was now unmistakable, his eyes the size of spaceships, a redness finding it's way on his cheeks

"Premium? Rare?" The words stumbled to get out. I nodded my head to the extent I could, seeing as he still had a grip on my chin.

"I need to sit down."

"Why?" The question was innocent.

"Because they scammed you and we have no way to do anything about it." He stuck to his word and sat down on the sofa, head leaning back. I followed him back, grabbing his hands before finally letting out that well needed air.

"Why are you laughing at this? Oh my.." The pieces began to fall into place as I sat down on his lap.

"I hate you."

"That's a weird way to say you love me."
