"What's going on with her?" Scott asked as he entered the bedroom, his eyes instantly drawn to Lacey was sweating and digging her claws into the bed below her, eyes squeezed shut. Liam had been asked to watch over her and she had decided to have another freak out on him.

"I-I don't know! She's been alright for the past hour or something .. but- she- she uh, she started like wriggling around in the bed and clawing at everything..." Liam stuttered out as Scott rushed over to the bed, carefully looking over Lacey to try and figure out what the best thing to do in this situation was.

He reached out and rested his palm on her cheek for half a second before she screamed loudly, still seemingly asleep. "STOP! I. DIDN'T. DO. IT!" She yelled loudly as Scott yanked his hand back.

She began to breath heavily, her chest rising and falling rapidly, worrying both boys.

"Scott.." Liam started.

"Liam. Be Quiet." Scott snarled back and Liam instantly shut his mouth. He was hurt by the tone in his Alpha's voice but he knew that Scott knew best so he followed his orders, keeping quiet as he watched Scott go over the situation in his head.

"No..." She muttered, slowing her thrashing to a small roll as she balled the sheets between her fists. "Please don't make me.. I don't.. I don't.." She whispered. As Scott glanced down at her hands he noticed her claws had now grown. "Please... no." She finished.

Liam and Scott shared a worried look before Lacey suddenly raised her hands and slammed them down into her stomach, cutting deep as she let out a scream. She shot up from the bed instantly, eyes glowing purple.

"Lacey! Stop!" Scott growled at her as she turned her attention down to her claws. She contemplated her actions for a second before dragging them across her stomach, letting out a painful gasp as she did so. "Lacey!" Scott hissed.

Scott launched forwards, taking a hold of her wrists and attempting to yank them back. She simply hissed at him, her fangs grown out and her eyes glowing bright. "I deserve this, please just let me do this." She begged, keeping her wrists close to her so Scott couldn't pull them back.

"What?!" Scott almost yelled before shoving her back onto her back and sitting on her hips. "Liam, help me!" He called to his beta who instantly shot into action.

Liam grabbed her hands and helped Scott pull her claws out of her stomach. Liam held her shoulders down as Scott leaned forward, keeping her arms pinned to the bed. "STOP IT! LET ME DO THIS!" She yelled.

She thrashed around under Scott but he simply tightened his knees around her hips so she hissed in pain and stopped moving for a second. Scott took this as his time to shine and quickly revealed his red eyes.

"Lacey! Listen to me!" He shouted in his alpha voice, causing Liam to shy away instinctively. "Stop." He spoke confidently as she stared up into his eyes, blinking twice before looking around, confusion on her face.

"What?" She whispered out in a scratchy voice, exhausted from yelling. She coughed twice, clearing her throat. "What happened? Why are you sitting on me?"

Scott looked up at Liam who shrugged. "What do you remember?" Scott asked, still hesitant to get off of her in case she attempted to hurt herself again.

"I.. I talked to Isaac for a bit and he told me to go to sleep and he would stay with me until I did.. then Liam would be here when I woke up." She explained. "Hey." She nodded towards Liam.

"Hi." He nodded back, breathing out in relief.

Scott paused for a moment before climbing off of her. "Thanks.." She muttered as Scott stood up again, not noticing the blood that stained his dark blue jeans. "What happened to your jeans?" She asked, slowly sitting up. "Jesus! Never mind."

Scott looked back to her to see she was now clutching her stomach which had long, jagged claw marks dragged across it. There was red blood, black blood and the green goo oozing out of her and staining her top and mattress. "Nice." Liam spoke sarcastically, running a hand through his hair as he did so.

"My God, what the hell happened?" She hissed as she slowly stood, shaking her hand at Liam who had rushed to help her.

"Well Liam called me and said that you had started freaking out on him.." Scott started. "And when I got here you were like... thrashing around in the bed and screaming stop and stuff." He shrugged. "Any idea what that's about?"

"I.." Lacey gulped. She knew exactly what it was about. She simply shook her head, not wanting to alert Scott of her lie.

"Liam, could you give us a second?" Scott asked and Liam gave him a sad look, wanting to be included in the talk with his alpha and the girl he considered as an alpha.. that was weird, having two alphas.

Scott raised his eyebrows questioningly at Liam who huffed before exiting the room and padding downstairs to watch TV whilst his 'alphas' spoke. "What's up?" Lacey tried to act casual even though they both knew this conversation was about to be everything but casual.

"Lacey," Scott started and sat down beside her.

"Oh no, that's the Daddy Alpha Scott voice. Am I in trouble?" Lacey joked.

Scott smiled at her attempt of humor before he took a hold of her hand, ignoring the blood that had stained her palm and collected under her fingernails. "Lacey, you can tell me anything." He confirmed his statement with a small smile. "You know that, right?"

Lacey looked away from Scott's eyes - knowing that if she stared into them any longer she would spill her silly little guts to him. Those brown eyes got her every time. "Yeah, I know."

"I'm serious." Scott spoke, lacing his fingers in between hers.

"So am I." She replied, feeling her palm sweat into his.

They stayed silent for a minute or so, Lacey picking at the bed sheet between her crossed legs, keeping her focus on them whilst she felt Scott's caring eyes burn into the side of her as he rubbed small circles with his free hand on her captured one.

"Tell me what's wrong." Scott spoke after the silence. Lacey continued to stare at the sheet below her. His hand moved to her chin and turned her head to face him. "Please."

"Those goddamn brown eyes always get me," She pouted as Scott smiled lightly.

"I won't say anything if you don't want me to.. just let me be here for you." Scott begged, now holding her left hand with both of his. "I want to be here for you, Lacey. I want you to trust me." Scott continued.

"I do trust you Scott!" She exclaimed. "That's the problem - after I tell you.. I'm scared that you won't want me to anymore." She whispered, tears building up in her eyes as she stared into his.

It was getting dark outside and the sunset hit off of her window and mirror perfectly, shining into his eyes making them seem even softer than they normally did. "I promise you - I promise you I will." He took her free hand into his.

"Don't make promises you can't keep, Scott." She whispered, a single tear rolling down her cheek as she went over multiple scenarios in her head - none of them ending well.

"I'm not," He wiped away the falling tear and rested his hand on her cheek softly. "You can tell me. I won't be upset." He nodded.

"Okay." She whispered, sniffing once before continuing. "It started when I was born.."
