When Eve and Jon hands touched, they felt an electrical current run through their bodies and immediately looked at each other in shock.

Wow...seeing his face up close, Jon is actually a pretty handsome guy, thought Eve. His looks are actually my type.

Wait! What am I thinking! He is just a kid compared to me! (Eve is mentally 36 years old but physically 16. She is thinking with her mental age and disregards her current body).

He looks to be in his mid 20s, so he is much younger than me!

Jon on the other hand is having similar thoughts as Eve.

This girl looks like a doll. No, better word would be an angel. The color of her eyes are so beautiful and unique.

Wait! What the hell am I thinking! Isn't she just a 16 year old kid! (Eve told the Farling brothers her age during her time at their farm.)

They both then jolted out of their state down and violently pulled their hands away.

"So....um..." Jon spoke awkwardly, barely making eye contact, scratching his neck.

"Um....yeah" Eve said also awkwardly, doing the same actions as him.

"Since you succeeded in helping our farm, that means you don't have to continue working here," stated Jon.

"Yes," Eve agreed. Why does she suddenly feel sad?

"Zeke and I as promised will gift you some of our fresh crops."

Eve became excited without outwardly showing it. Finally, she can eat healthy meals again.

"Thank you so much! I will be eternally grateful!" Eve said, smiling brightly.

Jon became awestruck by her smile, he nervously rubbed the back of his head.

"Even though you are not working here anymore....you are free to visit us anytime." Jon said a little hesitantly. Subconsciously, he is hopeful for her to visit.

"Okay, I will be sure to visit you when I can," said Eve. "Because you are my friend now."

For some reason, Jon now feels uncomfortable hearing the word friend from her, but he still gave a genuine smile towards Eve. To Eve, his smile made him even more attractive.

Eve mentally shook her head.

Girl, stop thinking like that!

"I will await your visit Eve, I'll just be on my way now" said Jon with a blushing face.

"Okay," said Eve, equally red. Jon then left her to finish her task.

A warm feeling bloomed between the two. Whatever that feeling is time will tell.
