Luke was asleep and I needed him to stay like that.
I have a present planned that I need to get for him but I don't want to leave him alone for too long.
I can just leave a quick note and head out and hope it won't take too long.
I grabbed a pen and paper and wrote out,
Luke,
I've gone to the store.
Be back soon.
I love you to the moon and back.

I set the note next to his phone, grabbed my keys and headed out.
I drove to the mall and found the store I was looking for.
The jewelry shop.
"Hello." The lady behind the counter greeted me with a warm smile. "How may I help you."
"I'm looking for a ring. Like a promise ring."
"What color?"
"Silver."
"Alright over here we have a selection of promise rings you can look through."
I walked over and instantly found the perfect one.
"This one please." I said pointing to the one I wanted.
"Alright, would you like anything engraved on it?"
"Yes please." And I told her what I wanted it to say.
Once everything was done and I got my ring, I thanked the lady and headed to my car.
Already planing when I'm going to give it to Luke.
