Truth or Dare

~Events throughout the Next Thirty Years, but not quite yet at the Hotel~

Throughout the years, Hell had drastically changed with the times and so did the city as new things were being introduced to the denizens of Hell and as such very many Demons were also entering Hell at a rapid rate.  News of the Royal Family returning to the Palace to continue their rule as the 666 News spread the family ruse throughout Hell, soon everyone would see the new look that the Devil chose as Lucifer Magne had changed his attire to that of a white outfit with a top hat and makeup all over his face as he and his daughter looked somewhat like clowns.  True, most of Hell made fun of them for that but it didn't bother the Devil at least not when he simply killed any who did so and all who spoke ill of his daughter.  All the while after the events of Alastor learning the truth about Lou, the Radio Demon found his life in Hell dreary and uneventful as it was difficult for the other to enjoy himself without having to pretend to what little friends he did have that he wasn't still upset and shaken from learning the truth.  Every so often, glancing at the pocket watch he kept, the scar upon his chest would ache at the mere thought of Lou... Lucifer as the years went by and the Radio Demon thought over everything the two of them had done.  Surely, he knew it was him in his Deer form.  Making that deal so that he couldn't hurt the Devil, and yet protecting him as he did from dying.  Why?  Why did the Devil do all of that?  Surely it wasn't just for the sake of seeing how it was to be as other mortals lived, at least that's what he had once said to him when he asked about why he made a deal to be friends.  Could the Devil really have cared for him, he asked that every time he looked at the pocket watch and seeing their initials.  As he did all those years ago in that forest where he thought he laid dying, Alastor held that watch in his hands folding them together as he bowed his head and thought of Lou, praying in a way as he did for someone to help him, he prayed to see Lou once more but afterward cursed at himself as he tossed the watch on his bed.  How foolish, the Radio Demon praying for another to meet with him, to see him again after all these years.  Foolish, indeed.

Alastor arrived the next evening at Mimzy's bar where his friends, Husk and Nifty would be to have a fun time drinking and playing games with one another, it was the only thing that gave him some fun anymore in his life there in Hell as there wasn't much that kept Alastor happy as he arrived to sit at the booth with the three other friends who were drinking.

"Hi, Alastor!  You're just in time, we're playing a game.  Called Truth or Dare!"  Nifty jumped up excited as Husk just grumbled while drinking his beer, Alastor's grin widened as he looked at the others amused.

"Oh? Sounds interesting, is it something the new Demons arriving in Hell have come up with?"  Nifty went about explaining how it works and as such she turned to Husk,

"Husk, truth or dare?"  The winged feline grumbled while scratching his cheek,

"Fucking, fine uh... dare."  Nifty giggled as she pushed a bottle of hot sauce towards him,

"I dare you to snort that hot sauce!"  Husk went wide-eyed,

"No fucking way, I'm not doing that!"  Nifty pouted then went on about how he had to because it was part of the game, Alastor chuckled at the exchange but the Feline did it anyway in the end and regretted it.  As he coughed and huffed and puffed, it took him a bit to regain his composure before looking at Alastor.

"Alright, Radio Demon, your turn.  Truth or Dare?"

"Hmm.  How about, truth?"  They looked at him surprised but before Husk could ask, another voice came from the doorway of the half-empty bar,

"Is it true, you almost died and to save your own life you made a Deal in exchange for your companionship?"  Alastor's whole form froze, slowly turning to glance at the owner of the voice, sure enough.  The Devil stood down the way from their table, dressed in his new white suit and hat along with wearing makeup and holding an apple cane of sorts in front of him.  He merely grinned at the group of Demons sitting at the table, Husk and Nifty immediately cowered from the other but Alastor simply stood and faced the Devil.  His grin never faltering as he held his hands behind his back,

"Well, Radio Demon, are you going to answer?"  Alastor squinted and merely said,

"Yes, Dear, I did.  Now let me ask you, truth or dare?"  Lucifer chuckled but before he could answer Alastor continued, "No, how about, truth?  Is it true that you paraded around as some Broker Demon, lying to the one you claim to care about and using him as if he was some toy to fool around with for over twenty-five years!"  Neither Demon's expression changed but one could feel the tension in the air as the two of them faced one another, Lucifer let out a sigh as he twirled his cane about, his tone coming out quite cheerful.

"I suppose it is true, but could one blame me?  Revealing who I really was from the beginning wouldn't have been as fun, I played the game quite well and for a time it was a good distraction from the long existence of being the Devil."  That made Alastor seethe with rage but he kept his cool demeanor as he laughed, summoning his staff he went about twirling it to hold it in front of him,

"A distraction yes, I'm sure.  It's as I said before, using a Deal to make another become your friend by force is rather pathetic.  Especially for the Devil," as he said that, Lucifer's eye twitched a bit and sighing he turned to shrug as he had only shown up there due to hearing a small prayer from the other, what did he expect.  That the other would actually forgive him and they could return as they once had been, how stupid of him to think such a thing would be possible.

"I'll be taking my leave now, I've no desire to be insulted by a lowly mortal who has nothing better to do than spend his days thinking himself the victim of the Devil."  As all mortals normally did and turning to leave the bar Alastor laughed speaking once more,

"I see you've taken to white, perhaps you never fully let go of your Father did you, Lucifer?  Probably miss being an Angel don't you, all that's missing is a halo!"  He paused, with his back to the other gritting his fangs as his Father was brought up, it was also one of the things on his list that pissed him off followed by any who spoke ill of his daughter and most definitely being reminded of him being an Angel.  He turned to face the other, his eyes grew solid white as the aura around him flared to life.

"Apologize."  Alastor's eyes widened but seeing he struck a nerve in the other, well the Radio Demon like to play, oh yes he did.

"Alright, alright, ahem... I am terribly sorry for reminding you of your Father issues!"  As if he would really apologize and as such, Lucifer raised his apple cane and morphing it into his golden Scepter he using his Powers to make several tables rise and then letting them fall to break and wreck the one place he knew Alastor cared for deeply as it was a piece of his past.  The Radio Demon looked around and turned to growl at the Devil,

"Oh my, seems there's quite a mess here.  I could help clean up but it would seem I'm still waiting for that apology?"  The Radio Demon was getting angry as he did care about Mimzy's place, the Demoness was hiding behind the bar along with Husk and Nifty as the two Powerful forces faced one another in silence.  Until Lucifer spoke once more,

"Perhaps I'm not being clear?"  He used his Scepter to lift Mimzy in the air, she screamed and flailed about as she could do nothing to stop the Devil and upon seeing this, Alastor finally snarled.

"I do believe you have overstayed your welcome, Darling!"  He lunged for Lucifer tackling the other to the ground making him drop Mimzy who was caught by Husk, the two wrestled on the ground before Lucifer kicked him off and went about to stand while fixing his hat.

"What's the matter, dear, won't face me unless you have a hostage?  How dull!"  Lucifer hadn't really wanted to fight the other, he really just wanted him to submit but if he must, suppose the Devil should show his dominance.  His eyes turned white once more as his wings unfurled behind him, he held his golden spear and facing Alastor he spoke.

"As you wish, Radio Demon..." he lunged forward with blinding speed and grabbing Alastor he tossed the other out the front of the bar, whether it be window or walls, the force was enough to send him flying outside.   His wings flapped alongside him as he walked out to meet the other where he had tossed him, Alastor grunted as he rolled along the street.  Groaning from the impact, he shook his head to glare at the Devil and standing his eyes formed into dials as his horns grew once more while he raised his staff to aim a red beam of light at the Devil.

"On with the show!"  Lucifer took flight to dodge and coming to land in front of the other again he'd hit Alastor upside the head with the blunt end of his Spear, the force of it would leave a sickening bruise while also knocking him back.   Lucifer would look at the other grinning,

"I forget, you do like a good show.  How am I doing so far?"  Alastor shouted in anger at the other as he lunged to bite the other's throat, sinking his claws into his shoulders he had caught the Devil by surprise and as they fell to the ground.  Lucifer would use his Spear to keep the other's fangs away from him, albeit that did nothing to stop his claws.

"I swear if you bite me again, I'll remove all your teeth.  Get off!"

"You are putting on a great show for everyone, sweetheart!"  And as he said this, true enough there were bystanders watching from afar and as he felt the other's claws digging into him, he snarled as his eyes turned red and he got a foot under the Radio Demon to toss him over his head.  The ripping of his flesh worsened as the Devil rolled to stand once more,

"I'll not have you make me a laughing stock, Alastor!" He raised his Scepter aiming hellfire at the Radio Demon, upon regaining his footing once more he barely had time to static shift away to dodge the flames.  Seeing the damage and force of the other's Powers, to think Lou was really this powerful all that time and while distracted he failed to see the Devil flying towards him and grabbing him by the front of his coat he flew high into the air with him.  He had struggled to make the other release him but realizing how high they were, even the Radio Demon wouldn't survive that fall.

"Last chance, apologize Alastor, and mean it you infuriating obnoxious mortal!"  Alastor grimaced as the other yelled at him, realizing Lucifer truly wanted him to say it and mean it he wasn't one to do such a thing and yet seeing his options.  The Radio Demon sighed,

"I... I'm... Sorry," he muttered.  The Devil stared into his crimson eyes and slowly a smile grew on his painted face,

"There, was that so hard?"  He then dropped him.  As he fell, he cursed himself for being a fool and believing in the other once again to get screwed in the end and as he fell he felt the fear growing as the ground was coming closer and closer.  Just as he was about to hit the ground, he stopped while floating mere inches from the asphalt then released to land that little bit.  Lucifer was hovering in the air, using his Scepter he had caught the other before he reached the ground and as Alastor turned to look up at him confused.  Before Lucifer turned to fly away, he kept his other promise and using his magic to rebuild and fix the bar he had destroyed he then turned to leave towards his Palace and at that moment, the Radio Demon couldn't help what he felt, his scar didn't ache like it normally did as he felt a strange feeling of hope welling inside him.  Alastor didn't want to believe it but he had to admit, the thought of the Devil actually caring for him, was he a fool to hope so?
