'Confess'

Some people act like confessing to someone is the easiest thing to do, muichiro was one of those people, with girls (and sometimes boys) who confessed to him left and right he never expected it to be so hard. Hell he didn't even expect to be the one chasing someone.

But it was worth it if it was for her, the girl wasn't exactly special, she didn't stand out, nor did she make the effort to stand out. She was just there, until you got to know her. When muichiro got partnered with her and had a conversation it was just it was just them. As if they were the main characters, any moment outside of when they were together felt dull.

That's when muichiro realized that it wasn't just the 'I'm the main character feeling' but the, I'm in love with them. And that's what leads us to now, the two sitting side by side silently studying. Muichiro would sometimes take a few glances at the girl next to him.

"Muichiro do you want to tell me something?"he froze, of course he did but he didn't think he was that obvious.

"...yes actually...." The girl stopped writing and turned to him, it didn't exactly help the poor boy.

his mouth suddenly felt dry, his mind thinking on overdrive of the ways to say the 8 letters. "i..." he paused a sudden fear taking over. "i'm hungry." you laughed at muichiro, "okay then let's get something!" he didn't know why this was so hard for him. hell he didn't even know why he said he was hungry.

the two of you packed up and left towards a nearby bakery grabbing your usual and sitting on a bench outside. "so muichiro-" "..y/n-" the both of you stared at each other before letting out some nervous laughter.

"you first" you said with a small smile. Muichiro felt more nervous than before. "i..." silence, he couldn't get himself to say anything else.

it only made you concerned for him, "i can go first if you need some time to think?" he only nodded at your words. you had a smile smile and leaned back, "when we were little we used to watch sunsets all the time.. i remember this one time..."

"hurry up muichiro!"

"wait up!"

you giggled at your friend. holding out a hand. he gazed up at you before taking your offer. you pulled him up so he could now stand on the same tree branch as you.

"see not so bad"

it was silent. the two of you  looking at the view in front of you. "y/n, promise me you won't leave me." you looked at muichiro shocked before you laughed. "i won't! i'll stay by your side forver"

once more a comfortable silence surrounded you two. you leaned over towards muichiro almost making him lose balance, "i'll even marry you so we can be together forever."

muichiro could barely recall that memory but he could remember the emotions it gave him.

"y/n... i... i really like you"

you smiled at him once more, "i know" his eyes widen, "you—" "which is why i want to ask you seriously this time. want to get married?"

after the battle with muzan tanjiro couldn't stand the thought of losing you. he already lost so many of his close friends.

so when he proposed to you you weren't exactly so shocked at him proposing but the fact you did it at the same time.

the moment was perfect. both of you under the stars at the butterfly mansion.  smiling as you held each other's hand. your free hand held a both closely (as did his), "tanjiro after this battle ...," tanjiro turned to you his full attention now casted on you. "i was thinking... how do i word this.." you got more nervous under his caring gaze. in a rush of the moment you grabbed the box and shoved it towards him.

he was shocked, "are you okay?" "please open it!" you were anxiously waiting as he slowly untied the ribbon and opened the box. he looked back at you with the most lovingly look you've ever seen. "please take this as well" tanjiro handed you a box which you opened carefully. inside laid a ring, a beautiful one that that.  he gently grabbed your hand and slipped on the ring, you doing the same for him.

obanai glared at you to which you quickly returned it. it wasn't exactly threatening on your end since you were bleeding out and barely looking in the right direction. but who can blame you for that? you see three of your partner (on a mission) and can't exactly find out which one is real.

you backed out and shrugged looking away, "look i bandaged myself so you know im fine!" obanai rolled his eyes, "and that's reassuring how?" you pouted at the male, he grabbed your arm (a little too rough) and dragged you over to a nearby river.

"take off your uniform"

"oh?"

"not like that!!" the male grew red, it made you laugh more as you took off your uniform top.

gently he scooped up water from the river and splashed it on your wound, you couldn't help but let out a slight gasp. he paused before continuing. it was complete silence between you two as he cleaned out your wound. seeing it unbandaged made him more worried for you.

"...thank you.." you broke the silence, which wasn't for long as he didn't respond. he began properly dressing your wound to which you didn't have any complaints.

well not like you could since you were passed out. when obanai noticed you weren't exactly there anymore he was quick to panic and rush you to the butterfly mansion

when you woke up you didn't expect obanai to be holding your hand resting on the cot. you considered waking him up but knowing him he probably stayed awake time he passed out. smiling you took a nearby blanket and covered him, giving his hand a slight squeeze before laying back down.

little didn't you know obanai was awake and couldn't help but blush at your kindness. but soon enough he fell asleep giving your hand another squeeze.
