AU: Red string that's only exclusively visible towards the soulmate pair.

"It's already late at night but why are their so many people?" you mumbled to yourself as you hide in the dark alley, as you watch the crowd. 

You were a demon who escape Muzan's control, and after wandering and hiding you heard rumors of the criminal, Tamayo, who was apparently also able to escape Muzan's control. 

starting that day you've been looking everywhere to find her, and finally an informant said that she may be in Asakusa. so you waited for the sun to come down and look for her during the night, but what you didn't expect was a huge crowd.

closing your eyes, you try to sense anything unusual, suddenly you felt two huge presence which was probably a demon, without thinking you ran towards it's direction. 

"What the!?" as you were running, a bright red string, connected to your pinky appeared.It was said that, a red string would appear whenever you and your soulmate was close to each other. you watch the red string in disbelief as it goes all the way to were you were running.

You never believe in that story, you find it ridiculous that a stranger you never met before could be the person you might spend the  rest of your life with. but now that your experiencing it, you were excited and nervous at the same time.

different thoughts filled your head like what would he look like, how old is he or what if he was a bad person or is he a demon or a human.

as you were lost in thought you arrived to a secluded part of the town, a burst out wall and an almost run down house. as you saw a Temari flying towards the demon hunter, your body move on it's own as you were in front of him in no time and send the Temari flying towards the opposite direction. 

by now everyone's attention was on you, as your eyes glow dangerously red, but it quickly returned back to normal as your eyes got lost on a bright lavender eyes. you look at the red string on your pinkie connected to his own pinkie. the both of you staring at each other then at the red string attached to each others.

for the first time, Yushiro found someone more beautiful than Tamayo, his heart beating incredibly so fast for some odd reasons he also got lost on your eyes. 

"ohh, look who showed up, He will surely love it if we also bring her head" your staring contest were interrupted as Susamaru evilly grinned while looking at you.

"You wished!" you said as you try not to get distracted by the red string as you help them fight the demons. after a hard battle, you were interrogated by them as you explain to them everything. 

after they deemed that you were trustworthy enough, you joined Tamayo and Yushiro as a travel companion, the whole time you and Yushiro would awkwardly glance at each other, both of you wanting to say something but was waiting for the other person to speak first.

As you three settled to a new estate, you kept looking at the red string on your finger, though it does not get in the way for it was intangible it kept bothering you that the person on the other end of this string was just within reach.

For some reason, your heart ache at the thought that Yushiro, who was supposed to be your soulmate like Tamayo to the point of obsession. 

You took a big sigh as you arrange medicine bottles on the cabinet, suddenly a cough was heard behind you, when you turned around, Yushiro was standing there with his usual scowl.

"oh..." was the only word you could utter as you two stare at each other again, Yushiro who had enough of staring for the last few days decided to speak up.

" You probably know what this means right?" he asked as he point to the red string

"yeah"

"Good" with that your conversation ended, as you two stand in silence.  after a minute of awkward silence Yushiro cleared his throat.

"look I'm willing to make this work, but let's get to know each other first" Yushiro said with a blush on his face, which you think was really adorable.

"hmm then it's a deal, Yushiro-san"

A few months later, you stayed with Tamayo and Yushiro, constantly helping and at the same time learning from them. Yushiro used his blood demon technique to hide the string as he says it distracts him and as promised you two got to know each other, but the only think that seems to be stuck on your mind was that Yushiro deeply loves Tamayo.

"ohh that looks so delicious" you said as you look at the different stalls lined up

"stop it! how could a demon find human food delicious" Yushiro quietly said especially the demon part as he walk in front of you.

You and Yushiro were going back from an errand outside the estate, but when you come back there was a festival, different stalls and colorful lights decor the streets, making you somewhat distracted. 

"I cant' help it, I remember eating those food when I was a human" you continue to look around the street as a certain object catch your eyes, silently you walk towards it completely forgetting Yushiro.

"This is so pretty" you admired the hair pin decorated with jewels as the bells attached to it rang as you pick it up in your hand. 

"I think it would suit you" the vendor said as he chuckled at your sparkling eyes.

"You think so?" you answered back slightly blushing

"ahhh dammit I forget to asked Yushiro for some money" you whispered under your breath as you look for money on your pockets.

"hey! what are you doing? come here already!" Yushiro called as he was scowling at you.

"ahhh Yushiro, perfect timing can you gave me some money?" you asked as you smiled at him

"What for?" 

"I want to buy this" you said as you proudly showed him the hair pin.

"What now way, Why do you even need that thing" he said making you slightly pout

"but-" you tried to argue but he cut you off

"return it already, we have to go back to the estate" He said as he grab the hair pin in your hand and put it back in place then he grab your wrist and pulled you through the crowds. all the way back to the estate you were pouting and refuse to talk to him. which of coarse he notice right away.

"(Y/N)...hey (Y/N)...I said hey!" Yushiro called for the third time as you pretend that he didn't exist.

"are you still mad from last night?" he asked as he took a seat beside you. you continued to stare at the distance as you ignored him.

he took a sigh as he took something from his pocket then handed it to you.

"here, open it" he said which you oblige to do, quietly you tear up the wrapped present and when you open it, your eyes widen at the object, it was a hair pin covered with various jewels, the moonlight glistening it further. it was much more beautiful than the hair pin from last night.

"I didn't want you to buy the hair pin since I already brought something" he said as he look away from you, a blush covering his cheeks.

"Yushiro..." you whispered in disbelief as you suddenly felt guilty for ignoring him.

"Happy Birthday (Y/N)" he said as your heart warm up, all this time you though he forgot. tears gathered in your eyes as you suddenly embrace him.

"Thank you Yushiro~"

as he awkwardly hug you back you felt happy and contented, when you leaned back from the hug both of you were staring at each others eyes, you close your eyes as both of you were leaning towards each other until both your lips touch.  ii you would describe it. it was electrifying. there were sparks flying everywhere, every touch was a thrill.

"I Love you (Y/N), from the moment I saw you that day" he whispered under his breath as he blush which you fond really adorable.

"I have always Love you Yushiro" you replied back with a smile

"but what about Lady Tamayo?" you asked as you sadly look down the floor.

"What about Lady Tamayo?" he asked

"you like Lady Tamayo right?" you asked, your heart somewhat breaking. Yushiro engulf you on a hug, your face buried on his chest as he stroke your hair comfortingly. 

"I like her because I owe my life to lady Tamayo but I intend to spend the rest of that life with you" 

Starting that day, you and Yushiro spend the rest of the days together, Tamayo greatly supporting the two of you. she actually knows that you two were soulmates, that's why she accepted you as a travel companion. anyways, Yushiro might be a Tsundere and he easily get's flustered from simple skin contacts and sweet words but he is actually a softy who was wrap around your fingers, but what he didn't know was it was you who were wrap around his.
