You were at yo office, looking at the emails that Mori instructed you to do.  You hear the door open widely, as you look up you see Chuuya brushing dust off his shoulders. On instinct one of your eyebrows rose wondering why he was there. "The boss wants you to go to those idiots at the Agency." Your face cringed "Why, and if I did wouldn't they know I'm with the Mafia?" "The Agency doesn't know who you are, you only work in the building." You rationalized the answer and with no choice obviously, you agree. 

The day came, aka the next day where you would have to go to the Agency. You tried to dress, appropriately for the "event". Your old outfit was a bit provocative, You had a short black skirt that was above your thighs and straps on your chest to "contain" everything.  and on top of that you have long black gloves.  So clearly you decided not to wear your old outfit for obvious reasons.  You just went for a nice color tone that looks innocent and "kind".  It consisted of a nice tan pencil skirt that fell over your knees. You had a clean white button up long-sleeved shirt that had ruffles on the end of the sleeves.  you added a deep burgundy colored burette.  You looked at the mirror making sure everything was good "I actually look pretty god maybe i should dress like this now?" you murmured to  yourself with a smirk. 

Using your ability, "Outsiders", you teleported a few blocks away from the Agency. You slowly walked to the building. your nude colored heels which were about 2 inches off the ground made a clacking sound as you walked up the stairs. You tugged on your little bag that you carried which had spare clothes, your phone, pens and pencils,  and some water(stay hydrated).  You actually had no idea where to go but you just decided to go to the office.  When you opened the door all you saw was Kunikida being bugged by Dazai who was putting his finger in front of his face which obviously annoyed him.  Ranpo on his desk looking out the window while drink from a half-empty Ramune bottle.  Yosano and Kenji weren't even there, and then there was Atsushi...and Kyouka.. Your cringed seeing her there but also panicked hoping she wouldn't blow your cover, but you also realize you two never really knew each other and saw each other for a split second, but she never saw your actual face without a mask you that you wear out a lot.  

Dazai looked at you and smirked, slowly walking towards you, hands behind him.  "Well, what do we have here? Y/N?" He whispered so only you and him could here.  Your body tensed up.  You thought the plan was ruined until you decided to fake it til you made it. "uhh... hi... Dazai-san" you stuttered a lot, that's when almost all eyes were on you. That's when Dazai started laughing hysterically, "PFFT- you still have that stutter?! C'mon it's been 3 years, did Mori not help you with it" He yelled loudly, a little too loudly. You were beyond embarrassed. You wanted to punch Chuuya and Mori in the face, and teleport away, but you couldn't Dazai's hand was on your shoulder and he already knew your ability so there was no escape. Kunikida looked up, with a face that could probably kill anyone's mood,  anyone but Dazai.  He smiled and told you to sit next to his desk, you shook your head but he insisted. His desk was next to Kunikida and when he saw you sitting next to him. It blew his tip off, "DAZAI- WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK! WHY ARE YOU BRING SOME GIRL TO OUR DESK LIKE SHE WORKS HERE" You flinched back because it was so sudden. Again Dazai put his arm around your shoulders tell him and you to relax.  " It's fine, also why'd you even come here Y/N?" you to jumped a bit, "Uhh.. I came to maybe... j-join the Agency...?" Everyone looked up back at you which made you embarrassed all over again. Dazai nodded slowly in advance to that answer. soon after you were just catching up with Dazai.  You wondered why no one is questioning why Dazai knew your name, and you recently noticed how happy he looked here. Mid conversation though you felt two eyes seeping through you. When you looked around you saw Atsushi? Definitely didn't expect that , but you smiled and waved. which caused him to get flustered for some reason and turned his face away from you. 

The door opened to see Fukuzawa walking in, you jumped and leaned to dazai by accident.  Fukuzawa walked towards the two of you while Kunikida was standing.  Dazai leaned back a little and put his hands in his pockets" Hey boss, My friend Y/N was wondering if she could join?" Fukuzawa looked at you up and down, he nodded and asked Dazai to come to his office then, which he stood up and went with him.  You looked around while everyone was working. You stood up to check the place out.  Atsushi stood up and slowly walked towards you, "Hey- Y/N right? Wanna go downstairs and get some coffee or a drink?" you looked behind you and nodded. You two walked downstairs and you texted Dazai that you're going to the cafe with Atsushi. He texted back with a thumbs up emoji.  

You two sat on the table he usually sits on, even though you barely knew who he was, but he had an aura that made you feel? Everything was calm and fine until he threw the question you dreaded, "So...you're good friends with Dazai-san right? How do you guys know each other?" Your eyes widened which he took wrongly and panicked saying you don't actually have to tell him. "No it's fine, we're...old friends." Atsushi told you that before you join the agency, you're gonna get an entrance exam." you smiled and nodded thanking him for informing you. He smiled back with a slight blush over his face. As you snap out of your trance, you look at him and he looks at you with bright eyes."Hey Atsushi-san , are you and Kyouka-chan... a thing?" you said with a slight flush on your face.  Atsushi's eyes widen in shock "What are you talking about?!?! Kyouka-chan is...14" You were shocked, you didn't know she was THAT young compared to everyone else.  "heh sorry I didn't know" you said with your hand scratching your neck. He said it was fine and that's when you two decided to order a quick drink.  

You two walk back to the office. You feel your phone vibrate,

Chuuya: I forgot to tell you, You have a week

You: I- you mf. 

You looked annoyed, Atsushi looked at you with confusion on his face, "You okay?" You smiled at him nodding. "yup everything is fine!" He smiled back.  As you two were walking, you felt each others hands brush against each other. You slightly looked down to it to see his hand finally holding yours. A slight smile came up on your face without you knowing. You two opened the door to see no one there. You looked behind you to see atsushi as confused as you were. Suddenly a laser was pointed to Atsushi, he had a frantic face, you see if the laser is solid. It wasn't when your hand is in front it's on your hand instead.  You sighs in relief but that relief left when A box opened loudly in front of you, when you walked towards the box. You looked back he couldn't move the laser prevented him from moving.  You continued to look inside the box, there was a small piece of paper, it said,

"The beast in under the moon, the moon orbits the earth.  The earth revolves around the Sun, all of this are part of our solar system.  All of this rounds to the beast in this room. We know your feelings towards them, you can't hide him. The key that you'll need to help them is hiding in something that represents them to you." 

You read it in your head. You looked around, you met Atsushi's desperate, scared eyes.  Which lit some kind of fire in you, determined to free him. You frantically looked around the room and back the paper. 'the moon orbits the earth' you look to see if there's anything that relates to that.  You look around to see a globe. Your eyes lit up, you swiftly walked towards it. You picked it up and smashed it. you flinched, when you found a key a thud behind you came up.  you quickly made your way to the chest that appeared.  You unlocked the lock and opened the box. inside another note. 

"Lizzie Borden took an axe, and gave her mother forty whacks; when she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one. Quick history lesson, who actually killed her parents?"

Clearly the person who wrote this knows that you know past serial killer history. But this was a trick question. The bordens' case was a mystery. Lizzie was the main suspect but there was not enough evidence to actually say she's guilty.  You look back in the box and you see a pen and an empty piece of paper.  you pick up the paper to write, 'N/A'. There was another thud. This time it was in front of Atsushi who still was panicking, apologizing for being no help. You told him it was fine as you try to open the box. You try to open it, then you realized there was another lock. Although this one wasn't a lock that needed a key, in this case, the lock needed a code. It was a three-digit code. You looked around, you picked up the box and looked around it. There were 3 shapes with letters in it.  In a triangle there was an 'E', in the circle, there was a 'G'. The last one was like a rhombus shape and there was an 'I'.  Since the code was in number clearly the the letters had to mean something is numbers.  That's when it hits you, each letter is counted by a number so A would be like 1.  5, 7, and 9, but now the shapes. The first thing that popped in you head was alphabetical order of the shapes first letter. So the code is 795. you put the code in as fast as you can. It works, you opened the box, inside the box was another note, you picked it up to read it in your head.

"This is technically the last thing you have to do and the last note you have to read. I'll admit you're good at this.  But not everything has a happy ending, in 10 seconds your beloved tiger will be shot into a million pieces by a machine gun that was connected from the laser thats pointing to him right there. The laser is very special, as long as the laser senses a human the human that is pointed at is unable to move. Good luck" 

You're eyes widened in shock and terror. No way, all this work and Atsushi can't even be saved. your hands started shaking, you're crying? tears started to fall, but why. You just met him he has no past with you.  But you felt yourself break down when you realized he'll die. Did you have feelings for him, why. All of a sudden a countdown from 10 started. You jumped, you didn't know what to do. You remembered as long as the laser points to a human, the other person can move. At least that's what made sense to you. Less than 5 seconds. You were panicking until your body just jumped in front of Atsushi so the laser was on you. You pushed him to the side, less than 3 seconds the machine guns would pumble you, 3,2,1 you shut your eyes. a few seconds later nothing happened. you opened your eyes. nothing happened. you were fine, Atsushi was fine. You were shocked, but it was in a good way. 

Behind you the door opened with everyone that includes Yosano and Kenji. Dazai clapped for you and Atsushi stood up to hug you"Welcome to the agency!"You tensed up but soon warmed up to his hug. That's when you settled it, you had feelings for him, he made you feel welcome in a short amount of time. He treated you like you were a....friend of his. He pulled you not so close to the door, so you're not in the way.  After the crowd came in, they all congratulated you and welcomed you and stuff.  Soon after Fukuzawa entered the room and asked you to come to his office. You nodded and looked back at Atsushi and followed Fukuzawa to his office. 

He led you to his desk, you sat in the chair he offered and he sat on the chair to his desk.  "so Dazai told me-" "yeah I was with the port mafia..." he closed his eyes for a second "You clearly have good intentions and you clearly have the brains and smarts to join the agency. You can join. Your partner can be with Atsushi and we'll go on from there." You nodded "thank you sir"  you stood up and bowed to leave.  

You entered the office and headed towards Atsushi,"Hey Atsushi! The boss said we're partners!" "Oh hey Y/N, great this'll be fun!"He decided to help you around and stuff that you two will probably do or work on. He sat at his desk and he pulled a chair for you to sit on which you did. 

few days went by you were walking to Atsushi's place because he wanted to,but while you were walking, it was dark, you felt someone following or watching you. You technically just had a bad feeling about it.  Not long all of a sudden you felt a hand coming up to your. You jumped, you got a mini heart attack, you turn to see chuuya. You sighed in relief.  "Jesus christ, you scared the living shit out of me" "tch' sorry" He fixed his hat and told you your times in two days. Y ou frowned you didn't want your time to be up. "No, I'm staying at the agency, I'm sorry but it's so much better than the Mafia." you looked down you couldn't look at his eyes. He was confused, " Fine, if you come crawling back to us. I'll obliterate you" He turned the other way and left. You sighed and wondered if you messed up. "Y-Y/N?" you tensed up, you turned slowly. Atsushi standing there confused but scared "a-atsushi?" He walked towards you, hugging you as tight as he could. You were stunned, didn't he hear you that you were with the Mafia? Why was he hugging you? Is he not scared? "A-Atsushi? W-What are you d-doing-" "shhhh, it's okay Y/N, I forgive you. You have no intention of Betraying the agency. If you did, why would you 'save' me during your exam, why would you work so hard during the missions with me." That's when you realized he wasn't wrong.  You actually didn't want to betray the agency. "Heey, Y/N... I think i like you." Though it was probably a question, it straight up sounded like a statement. You had an unnoticed blush. "Atsushi I do too". Soon things continued from there and when the Agency was informed about your old intentions. They didn't do much but was relieved that you decided to rebel against it.
