little boys/little girls

boys can wear makeup
girls can do pushups
and men can cry alone
and women can walk them home
boys can dance and twirl
girls can change the world
and little girls can wear blue
and little boys can wear pink too.

(I have just realized that this is a very simple poem, which I guess is good, mostly because I think the message a simple thing to understand.

Ever since forever there have been "designated" rules for both men and women and human beings in general. Well, I say: NO MORE "GENDER ROLES". Masculinity and femininity? Nevermind those. We are all human and we should not be limited to stupid rules that we have unnecessarily created for ourselves. Boys can wear makeup if they wish, and girls can play sports and get muddy if that is what they want to do. Boys can go shopping with their friends and girls can do heavy lifting while helping out with the car. Boys can do the laundry and girls can be a video game champ. Boys can play with dolls and girls can play with trucks.

I wish I had something more poetic to say, but I guess the main point has been made; let's get rid of gender stereotypes once and for all, and just be good people who are the light of the world. Love you guys!)
