27 | predators and prey

Dear Self,

Well, it's been a couple weeks and it's been pretty calm. Aside from the fact that I feel watched 24/7.

When will they make their move? Are we just prey waiting to be caught?

It's putting me on edge. I feel anxious everyday. The thought of Chuuya possibly getting hurt is driving me insane.

The only thing keeping me slightly sane is my documentations of my feelings.

I want to catch our predators before they can catch us.

Unfortunately, every time I try inspecting the aura I feel from them when they watch, it's like they completely disappear.

Chuuya is still staying with me. He says he misses his bed about six times a day. Really doesn't help with my anxiety.

Chuuya is calling me from work so I will leave my thoughts now.

- 3rd POV -

"Hi Dazai."

"Hey."

"Can you pick me up from work?"

"Did something happen?"

"My manager said I looked stressed and I should take a day off work."

"Stressed?"

"You know exactly what I'm stressed about bastard."

"Don't you have a car?"

"Someone slashed the damn tires."

"I'm on my way. Don't leave the shop."

"Where else would I go?!"

-

Dazai quickly drove to Chuuya's destination. He knew the tires were no coincidence. They were planning to make their move.

And he knew he was about to walk right into their trap.

//

"Finally." Chuuya said sitting on the side of the curb.

"Hurry, get in the car." Dazai said.

"But what about my-"

"Chuuya!"

"Fine."

Chuuya ran to the car.

"They're making their move." Dazai said without hesitation as he drove away from the coffee shop.

Chuuya looked at him, surprised. "What are we going to do?" He asked.

"Whatever we can to survive."

Dazai would occasionally look at the mirrors in the car. After a short amount of time, he noticed something. "They're tailing us." He said to Chuuya as he drove the car faster.

"I can handle them if they catch up." Chuuya said to Dazai.

Dazai was too focused on the enemy to notice what Chuuya said.

Dazai drove around in circles trying to loose their predator.

The enemy did not loose sight of them no matter how hard Dazai tried.

After quite some time of driving in circles, Chuuya began to notice Dazai slowing down.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"I have a plan."

Chuuya reluctantly decided to trust Dazai. He knew Dazai's plans never failed. Yet, for some reason, Chuuya felt uneasy about Dazai's judgement.

Dazai stopped the car in a vacant part of Yokohama. The enemy stopped a distance behind the car.

"Are you going to tell me the plan?" Chuuya asked before getting out.

"Trust my nullification." Dazai said as he got out of the car. Chuuya reluctantly followed.

After standing next to the car for several seconds, the enemy is still in the car.

"Quite anticlimactic don't you think?" Dazai said, loud enough for their enemy to hear.

"Hardly. I like to take my time when I crush strong ability users." A slightly bald man wearing a hoodie climbs out of his car. He has a gun in his right hand.

"I wouldn't get too cocky if I were you. It's two against one." Chuuya said.

"You're the gravity manipulator aren't you? Well Mr. Gravity, you shouldn't underestimate me. I am not alone."

Right as the bald man finished his sentence, Dazai and Chuuya heard a voice.

"Behind you."
