The Harvest Moon Festival

Moxxie was woken up by his cell phone, he pushed ignore at first but Blitzo doesn't give up. "What do you want sir?" Moxxie asked irritated.

"Hey! Hope I didn't wake you Mox, how about you and the girls come to the wrath ring for some harvest bullshit?" Blitzo asked.

Millie shot up excitedly. "The harvest moon festival! YEE FUCKING HAW!"

Moxxie sighed. "Well, Millie likes the idea...Wait, where are you calling from?" Moxxie asked before he heard.

"Blitzo? Why are you in my bed?" Harmony's voice said from the other end of the phone.

"Of course." Moxxie groaned before he got out of bed to kick his boss out of his daughter's room.

The next day all of them arrived at Millie's parent's farm.

"Mama! Daddy!" Millie cheered as she got out of the van and hugged her parents.

"Yee-haw! How's my deadly little pumpkin spice doing?" Millie's dad asked.

"I'm good pa, thanks for letting us stay here."

"It's no trouble." Millie's mom assured. "We know you aren't making as much anymore since yall went freelance."

"Freelance pays fine ma." Millie insisted. "We're doing fine, it's fine."

"Uh huh." Millie's mom said unconvinced. "Well anyway, we're my granddaughter?"

Millie's parents felt something tap their arms before they turned to see Harmony in full flame with her fangs now looking like shark teeth. The two screamed and fell back holding their chests before they pounded over their hearts before getting their breathing back before laughing.

"Yee-haw!" Millie's dad laughed as he got up slapping his knee. "Well, I haven't had a scare like that since my old man almost bulldozed be with his tractor."

"Oh Harmony." Millie's mom smiled as she hugged her. "Look at you, growing like a venus flytrap and just look at this gorgeous hair."

"Still that deadly little firecracker I see." Millie's dad agreed. "If you go into the kitchen there's some of granny's cookies waiting for you on the counter."

"Alright!" Harmony cheered before she teleported into the kitchen.

"Not too many!" Moxxie shouted.

"You all remember my husband Moxxie." Millie said to her parents who just glared at him.

"Greetings Lynn, Joe. How've you been with all the flaming twisters and stuff around here?" Moxxie asked.

"We lost one of our own farm heads to one of those terrors last week." Joe grunted.

Moxxie nervously chuckled. "Oh crumbs, my bad. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to open that wound sir."

"Hey watch it! I'm the sir here fucko." Blitzo spoke up.

"Oh yeah!" Millie grinned. "Yall haven't met my boss Blitzo and his hellhound."

"I'm not just his hellhound." Loona glared.

"Yeah, she's my daughter." Blitzo added.

"Only on paper." Loona said. "You all don't deserve to know my name."

"It's a pleasure to finally meet the sperm and egg factory that popped out this little gem of an assassin." Blitzo said as he walks up to Millie's parents. "You two raised a sturdy bitch."

"That we did." Joe agreed. "So Blitzo is it? That's a fine name."

"It reminds me of war." Lynn sighed dreamly.

"Nothing like a little war to make a strong man."

"I like you people." Blitzo said.

Moxxie decided to speak up. "You know, more battles were won with technological advances." Moxxie rambled until he saw no one cared. "I mean, war fun."

"Guns get the job done but a man ain't nothing if he can't tear the head of a hellish beast with his bare hands." Joe said.

"HA!" Blitzo laughed. "He's right Moxxie, you got cute little baby hands to go with your baby dick."

"Rephase sir." Moxxie glared.

"Speaking of strong hands yall should meet our newest help." Joe insisted. "Hey! Striker!"

On quote a tall imp rode over on flaming horseback "Well howdy, oh lookie here. You must be the famous Mildred." Striker said as he walked up to Millie. "Heard some good things about you from your folks little lady. What are yall doing so far from Imp City? Free working finally slowed down?"

"Freelance isn't free." Millie said as she shook his hand. "We're just visiting for the festival. The prince is our bosses BOYFRIEND!"

"Millie, I am not above hitting a female in front of her daddy." Blitzo told her.

"Boss huh?" Striker said. "So you're the bold imp that started his own killing business."

"Yeah well when you're good at something you should probably capitalize." Blitzo shrugged.

"Not many imps start businesses on their own. That's pretty impressive sir."

"I guess it is, isn't it."

"So you even con that ditzy blue blood to get you to the surface?"

"Well it's long and complicated but the short answer is yes."

"You know." Joe spoke up. "You boys should enter the pain games."

Harmony suddenly appeared next to Joe with cookie crumbs all over her mouth and the front of her shirt. "I heard games! I wanna play!"

"Aw sorry sweet pea, imps only." Lynn told her gently. "Every harvest festival there's a competition to be the roughest, toughest bastard in wrath."

"Yeah, wish I could play." Millie whined.

"Millie, you know you get too carried away." Lynn reminded her. "Last competition ended with 15 separate funerals."

"I'm aware, but I only caused 9 of them." Millie complained. "How come Sallie May gets to compete?"

"Your sister doesn't have a neighborhood head count."

"She so does!"

Millie's sister then walked past them. "It doesn't count if they don't find the bodies."

"Still, you get to root for her and your brothers and now you get to cheer on your boss." Lynn encouraged.

"You know, she can also cheer for me." Moxxie spoke up.

Joe started laughing. "Wait you?"

"Yeah, I can compete, can't I?"

"Sure boy, but I don't think sensitive times would last very long in the games."

"I was born here too. I have some fight in me."

"Well then, why don't you help me wrangle one of those hogs for dinner?" Striker asked as he points to a pig like demon with a hard shell.

"Who's this?" Harmony asked.

"This is Striker." Lynn introduced. "He helps Gramps and me with the farm. Striker, this is Mildred's adopted daughter Harmony."

"Who's Mildred?" Harmony asked.

"That's my real name sweetie." Millie told her.

"Well now." Strikers looked at Harmony interested. "Never seen a little critter like you before."

"I'm a demi-god." Harmony said.

"Harmony, how many cookies have you eaten?" Moxxie asked.

Harmony counted what she remembers on her fingers. "This many." Harmony said as she held up eight fingers.

"How are you gonna have any room for dinner?" Moxxie asked her.

"Hey speaking of dinner." Striker reminded him.

"Simple." Moxxie said about to grab one of his guns.

"With these." Striker gives him a knife and some rope. "Bullets can't pierce the shell, you gotta get the knife under it and pray it open."

"Oh right, I knew that." Moxxie said nervously.

Blitzo then placed his hands on Moxxie's shoulders. "Now just remember, your rep with the inlaws is on the line here, so no pressure at all, you totally will not make an ass out of yourself in front of everyone important in your life. Go get him tiger."

"Mox, you don't need to do this." Millie told him.

"Oh he totally does." Blitzo disagreed. "Kick it's ass Moxxie! YEAH!"

Harmony and everyone watches Moxxie sneak up to the demon hog. He managed to get the rope around it's neck but the pig started kicking like a bull.

"FUCK YEAH MOXXIE! RIDE IT MOXXIE! MAKE IT THAT BITCH YOU WON'T CALL BACK IN THE MORNING!" Blitzo loudly cheered.

"This is fucking beautiful." Loona said as she films it.

"Send me that video later." Blitzo told her.

Harmony covered her eyes not wanting to see her papa get hurt or to see the pig get slathered. She really hates life on a farm.

"You can look now dear." Millie assured her once Striker jumped in and killed the hog himself.

"Hey boss men, you wanna help the men skin this thing for dinner?" Striker asked Blitzo.

"Oh I am always down to skin the manly meat with a manly man." Blitzo replied.

"That's why she said." Loona joked.

"What who said?" Blitzo asked. "Wait, what bitch is talking shit about me?"

Everyone walked towards the house while Millie and Harmony helped Moxxie up before Harmony went to go their the rest of their bags.

"Don't let it get to you." Millie told him. "You don't need my parents to respect you, they will eventually."

"No they won't." Millie's sister said as she walked up to them.

Millie glared at her.

"What? I'm right aren't I?"

"I'm entering those games." Moxxie said determined.

"How pissed would you be if I bet on him dying?" Sallie May asked.

"Harmony!" Millie called making Harmony look over. "We're gonna need some firewood, would you take care of that dearest."

"Yes mama." Harmony said as she put the suitcases down and pulled a tree right out of the ground before snapping it in half.

"You'd be the tree." Millie told her wide-eyed sister.

When the festival started Millie sat Harmony on her lap while they watch Millie's siblings, Blitzo, Striker, and Moxxie play the games.

Harmony growled as a hell shark kept attacking her papa on purpose making her flame up.

"Now Harmony, no losing your temper here." Millie told her making Harmony cool down and pout.

When the games were finally over it was declared a tie.

"The winners are Striker and my darling Blitzy!" Stolas announed.

"Just say my name right! Fucking dick!" Blitzo complained as he and Striker go on stage.

"What did they win?" Harmony asked.

"Nothing honey." Millie answered.

"All that for nothing?" Harmony asked while Moxxie limped up to them and sat down. "Don't worry papa, I think you did great, I bet not every imp here can get out of a shark's mouth like you did."

"Yeah, you're right." Moxxie smiled at her. "He might have the physical advantage but I'm better at other things. Like singing."

"I'd like to take this opportunity to sing a little song I wrote just now, about me winning." Striker said as he grabbed his guitar.

"OH WHAT THE FUCK!" Moxxie screamed outraged making Harmony blink surprised at him since he never swears in front of her.

Harmony heard Striker sing his song she shook her head. "Too country. Your songs are better papa."

"Isn't this guy great?" Blitzo asked them as he ate some food on a stick. "It's gonna be nice working with him."

"Working with him? What?" Moxxie asked.

"Yeah, I asked him if he wanted to join IMP." Blitzo answered.

"You asked?" Moxxie asked kinda hurt.

"Mox, I think you had enough for the day." Millie told him. "How about we go back to the house and get you cleaned up? Harmony, I know you're not a big fan of the farm so why don't you stay here with Loona."

"Ok." Harmony agreed before she hugged both her parents and left with Loona to enjoy the festival.

Later after Moxxie cleaned up he noticed a strange glow coming from Striker's room. "Well, that's troubling." Moxxie looked in and spotted a huge gun powered by angel weapons. "How in the fuck did he get one of these?"

"Why don't you ask me little dude." Striker said from the doorway.

"Shit!" Moxxie turned to face him. "Why do you have this mister? You are aware this kind of weapon can kill.."

"Demon royalty?"

"Yes, that."

"No shit, that's kinda the point." Striker said as he closes the door.

"Well I'm concerned about you having this I'm also glad my instant disliking of you has been validated." Moxxie choked out as Striker started to strangle him with his tail.

Moxxie managed to kick over a vase causing it to break over Striker's head but that only bought him a little time before Striker shook it off and put Moxxie in a chokehold. "Pathetic."

Millie was then right behind Striker stabbing repeatedly in the back but that barely affected him as he slammed her hard against the wall breaking her arm.

"Millie." Moxxie managed to choke out before Striker grabbed them and threw them into the basement. Millie's leg fell right into a bear trap making her shout in pain. "I'd kill you but I feel like there's more leverage over your rodeo clown boss and that freaky kid of yours. Plus you little things aren't worth the clean up." Striker said as he locked the door.

Moxxie remembered the gun he had tucked away in his vest. "I probably should have used this earlier huh?"

"I love you hon, but for fucks sake." Millie sighed.

Meanwhile Harmony and Loona were watching Stolas open a portal in the sky showing everyone the harvest moon.

Striker was back in his room and Blitzo caught him trying to shoot Stolas. "Excuse me. The fuck!"

Striker tried to talk Blitzo into joining him until Moxxie was behind him holding the powerful gun.

"Took you long enough Mox!" Blitzo laughed. "Oh man, you should have seen your dip shit face."

Striker held a knife to Blitzo's back before he made Blitzo aim his gun at Moxxie almost shooting him if Moxxie hadn't dodged.

"Oh you daddy fucker!" Blitzo yelled outraged before he sank his fangs right into Striker's arm.

Striker freed his arm and threw Blitzo right into Moxxie causing him to drop the gun.

"You dumb fucks seem to always lose the upper hand huh?" Striker mocks as he takes his gun back.

"Ha! You seem to have forgotten something." Blitzo said before he loudly whistled.

Loona heard the whistle and groaned. "Sorry kid, Blitzo wants me for some shit." Loona said as she picks up Harmony and puts her on the back of a hell pony in the kid's area. "I'll be right back... Oh wait, your mom would kill me if I don't take a picture of this."

"Aw fucking damn it Loona." Blitzo groaned when Loona didn't show up.

"It's a damn shame Blitzo, we may have actually made a good team." Striker said. "Oh well."

"In your wet dreams." Blitzo glared before kicking Striker between the legs, Blitzo managed to throw striker into a corner while he and Moxxie point their guns at him.

"I still think it's embarrassing." Striker grinned. "You're wasting a lot of potential relying on a weak little.."

Moxxie shoots barely missing his head. "You gonna finish that fucking sentence partner? Who's weak now bitch?"

Loona then kicks open the door making it slam right into Moxxie's face.

"Ok, I'm here." Loona said as she stands in the doorway.

Striker takes the time to grab the gun. "You know, this doesn't just kill demon royalty, it's said it can kill many powerful critters including demi-gods."

Blitzo and Moxxie widen their eyes as they see Striker spot Harmony in the crowd at the festival watching a rodeo.

"NO!" The two scream as Striker takes the shot getting Harmony right in the back of the head.

The bullet however just bounced right off of her head, the only reaction it got was Harmony reached to scratch the back of her head before she continued to watch imps get thrown off of hell bulls.

All four of them stare in shock.

"That... that should have worked." Striker said confused before he made a run for it.

Blitzo fainted right into Loona's arms and Moxxie jumped out the window in tears.

"Oh man, this is the best harvest moon festival ever!" A small plum pink imp said as he had his arms full of prizes he won at the stands.

A teal imp next to him was enjoying a soda until he spotted something making him spit it out.

"Oh yeah, that diet stuff really leaves a bad taste in your mouth." His friend nodded.

"No, LOOK!" The teal imp pointed to a young girl with blue flames for hair. "That, that can't possibly be..."

"HARMONY!!" Another imp with white hair ran right up to the girl and hugged her closely to him in tears.

"What's wrong?" Harmony asked.

"I... I thought I lost you." Moxxie cried before he started to look over her. "Baby are you hurt?"

"No." Harmony said confused on why her papa's face was just flooding with tears.

"Oh thank you." Moxxie cried loudly before picking her up and hugging him to him. "I thought I was gonna lose you forever, if anything happened to you I... I don't know what I'd do. You mean more than anything to me and mommy."

The two imps watched the red imp carry her away unsure at what they should do. Leave the girl with a family that clearly loves her or tell their boss.

While Moxxie puts Harmony in the van Millie's parents were bandaging her up.

"I can't believe you let him trap you Mildred, haven't we taught you better?" Lynn scolded.

"I was seeing red ma!" Millie snapped. "And he was slippery."

"Excuses." Lynn scoffed. "You're better than that Mildred."

"You know." Moxxie stomps up. "She protected me and maybe I'm not a strong beefy dickhead but Millie has the strength enough for both of us. You two are getting on her case about getting hurt by a psychopath YOU hired? Shame on you!"

Joe stepped up to him and gave him a short nod before he and Lynn went to say good bye to Harmony.

"Wow he nodded." Millie said to Moxxie. "He's never acknowledged your input before."

"So is that progress?" Moxxie asked.

When they got home Moxxie carried Harmony into her room since she fell asleep on the ride home. He stayed by her side until Millie limped in. "Mox."

"She's not a demi-god." Moxxie said softly. "She'd be dead right now if she was. We could have lost her forever."

"I just don't understand it." Millie said. "If she's not a demi-god then what is she?"
