[Takes place after Chapter 3] [Spoilers for Personalities and Traits]

[Long]

Where... Am I? Opening my eyes, I could tell I was surrounded in complete darkness as an odd tune filled the air. "M-Maki-roll?!" Where ever I am, Kaito seems to be here with me. Not yet wanting to alert the dumbass with my presence, I silently found the wall and leaned against it. Where the fuck am I?... Oh, right. I was awake when some weird glitch monster came after me... Right after Korekiyo's trial.

Continuing to feel around, my hands eventually found some buttons on a panel against the wall. This is the kind of panel and elevator would have... Are we inside an elevator? I stayed quiet, focusing on the tune. Yep... Definitely elevator music. As I listened to the uneasy yet catchy tune, I decided to speak up. "Nishishi~ That dumb assassin isn't here! I actually kidnapped you, and now you're in my secret lair!-"

"D-Degenerate males?" I felt myself get caught off guard by the voice. That's Tenko's voice... Isn't she supposed to be dead? "G-G-G-GHOST!!!" "HEEEEEE!!!" So Miu is in here too. How did we get here? Why are we in an elevator? Monokuma should've made it's presence known by now, unless it's planning something-

*Ding*

Slowly, I watched as a light seeped through the crack in the elevator doors that opened up. The music that had been previously playing came to an end.

Confused and intrigued, I moved forwards into what looked like a hotel lobby. Plants and paintings decorated the room, the rain gently hitting against the windows.

*Ding*

*Ding*

I turned around hearing two more familiar dings, two more elevator doors opening up revealing even more people. However, some stuck out more than others. Angie, Korekiyo, Kirumi and... Kaede. Aren't they supposed to be dead? I watched Kaede, Kirumi and Korekiyo get executed. Where are Ryoma, Rantaro, Tsumugi and Kiiboy? Shouldn't they be here too? At least Tsumugi and Kiiboy.

"S-Shuichi!" Kaede cried out, running towards the detective. I watched as they embraced one-another. Kayayade seems to remember what happened, and so do the others. "Atua believes Korekiyo should be tied up for his crimes!" Right. She caught him setting up Tenko's murder. So Angie knows he did something wrong, whether she knows she died or not. "Eww! Enough of this yucky stuff! Isn't it more reasonable to figure out why some of them are alive again in the first place?" I questioned them, getting their attention.

"As much as I hate that brat, I agree." Maki spoke silently, causing me to laugh due to her agreement. "Gonta also think we should find out where Gonta and friends are-" "All you virgins better get your heads outta the gutter! We need to tie up Korekiyo before he kills again!" Miu shouted, confusing a few people. "He d-did what?!" Kaede cried, seeming surprised. I calmly walked over to her. "Yeahhh, you were kinda dead while it all went down, but Kirumi and Korekiyo did a bit of killing after you did! Kirumi killed Ryoma, and Korekiyo killed Angie *AND* Tenko!" I spoke loud enough for everyone to hear it, causing Tenko to stand protectively in front of Himiko.

"Gonta make sure Korekiyo try nothing to hurt anyone again!" Gonta tightly held Korekiyo's wrists behind his back. Despite that, he still didn't say a word. "W-Why are you back? I don't understand..." The detective spoke out loud, seeming relieved yet even more worried. "Maybe the whole thing was a s-simulation... Y-Yeah!" Unless we've been asleep for quite some time, that thought doesn't really work out with the technology we had before. When I fell through the floorboards, that definitely didn't feel like a simulation.

"M-My apologies for the crime I had committed..." Kirumi apologized, nobody tied her up because her crime seemed more justified then Korekiyo's. "No worries Kirumom! Everyone understands. We can trust you!" I lied, knowing fully well I'd have to keep my guard up even more then usual around her. Knowing not everyone agreed with my lie, Kaito ran over to the front desk and began ringing the bell. "H-Hey! Can someone help us out here!?"

He continued to ring the bell and calling for someone, but no one came. "Nishishi~ I wouldn't come either if I heard someone that annoying at the front desk~" I teased, making my way around to behind the desk, in which the others seemed hesitant to do. I looked through a drawer, finding a gold coin. This doesn't seem like a modern day coin, and it's pretty heavy for a coin. Is this real gold? Why would someone leave it right by the front desk? I put it in my pocket.

I turned around, grabbing the only key on the wall. Everyone seemed relatively quiet as I took the key to the door, opening the padlock. "Wow~ It really opened!" I hummed, stepping inside the next room.

[0001]

"W-Wait!" I heard Kaede call, following behind me. "Kaede!" Here comes Shuichi as well. "H-Hello? Is anyone here?!" The idiot astronaut yelled again, looking around. "This doesn't seem to be a normal hotel..." Shuichi thought aloud, walking towards one of the bookshelves in the room. I watched the detective pull a book out from the shelf, opening it. "The pages are all empty..." "What do you mean Shuichi?" Kaede walked over to the detective, taking another book from the shelf and opening it.

"I don't like the vibe this place is giving me..." Kaito spoke aloud, getting closer to Maki. "This gorgeous girl genius isn't scared of anything! Just watch! Some virgin is probably just pulling some shitty fuckin' prank on us!" Miu confidently walked forwards, opening the next door.

*Knock Knock Knock*

"HEEEE!!!" She screamed and retreated back to the room we were in after a knock was heard on against a wall. "A-Are there any more g-ghosts here? Is K-Kaede a..." The astronaut hide behind the small assassin causing her to sigh. "Kaede isn't a ghost." Maki confirmed, walking towards the next room. I followed behind the assassin, still keeping my distance.

[0002]

"Nyeh, I wonder why there are closets in here..." Himiko curiously touched the handle of a closet, only to be shoed away by Tenko. "S-Stay away Himiko! I'm getting a bad feeling about this closet! I say one of the degenerate males try to open it!" I smiled, getting in the closet around the corner hoping to scare Tenko, Kaede watching me do so. "I-I'm sure it's fine." Shuichi spoke, hearing him open the closet around the corner. "See? It's nothing."

I tuned out the detectives voice as red began to cloud my vision.

'Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out-'

*Thud*

"A-AH!!!" I heard Miu scream as I stood up from off of the floor. Pain found its way into my head as I turned around, looking at the closest I had just been pushed out of. "Degenerate male! How dare you scare Miu like that!" I walked towards the closet, trying to pull it open again but to no avail. What... Just happened?...

As I felt my senses return, I laughed, holding my arms behind my head. "Nishishi! Why not? This is a haunted hotel after all!" I grinned watching Kaito hide further behind Maki at the use of the word. I walked past them, towards the nearest painting. The painting is called "Theory"... I wonder what that could mean. I tried to further inspect the painting, however the pain in my head made it difficult.

Maybe this place really is haunted, I never was one to believe in ghostly things... But what else could've pushed me out of the closet like that? Unless someone else was in there with me the whole time. I tried to ignore the thought as I checked the drawer underneath the painting, finding another coin. I picked it up, placing it in my pocket just like the first.

[0003]

I felt even more unease as I opened the third door, leading to a room with lots of windows. Rain and thunder loudly roared outside as I continued forwards, feeling my confidence slowly fading. I stayed in the corner of the room, making sure everyone was following close behind. After seeing they were, I heard Kaito begin calling out for help again.

If there's three zero's on the door plaque, does that mean there's over a thousand of these doors? Maybe if we get further then we'll finally get some answers. What are we supposed to eat? We need to get out of here before we starve... My head began pounding as I pushed forwards to the next door.

[0004]

Red walls, orange carpet, bookshelves... Is every room like this? I walked towards one of the closets in the room. I hesitated before deciding to try opening the closet again, which seemed to work. Not wanting to step inside again, I closed the closet, deciding to tune in to what the others were saying.

"What are your thoughts on this place Shuichi?" Maki asked, Kaito still cowering behind her. "I'm... Not sure. This seems like some sort of maze. We might be the only ones here." The detective walked over to another bookshelf, taking another book from it. "This one is also empty..." "D-Do you think this is some sort of prank?!" Miu questioned the detective, seeming a bit more fearful. "I don't think this is a prank, unless it's from Monokuma. Someone would have to go to an extremely far extent to pull something like this off."

"If this was Monokuma's doing, wouldn't it have appeared by now?" Kirumi questioned, causing everyone to become quiet and think of that idea. Monokuma might not have done this, after all, I haven't seen a single monitor around... "Let's just keep going for now, maybe we'll find something that could help us get out of here." Shuichi admitted, heading towards the next door. I found myself no longer in the front as the detective opened the next door.

[0005]

As I stepped inside the next room, it seemed a bit different. There are two doors, but only the one down the stairs had a number on it. I wonder what's in the other. It could be a way out of here... I walked towards the door, slowly opening it.

It's just a box.

I tried opening it, but to no avail. It looks like you need a key to open it, but I don't see any in here. Maybe I'll come across another one later... I turned around, heading towards everyone that stood by the top of the stairs. "S-So, who wants to go first?" Kaede nervously laughed as the sound of some thing heavy walking around caused her to step closer towards the rest of the group.

Even Maki seems a bit hesitant... With the pain in my head still lingering, I "fearlessly" walked past everyone else. As I stood in front of the door at the bottom of the stairs, I cautiously opened it.

...

...

...

It's just another normal room.

[0006]

"What are you guys so afraid of? Worried a ghost is going to pop out and kill you? Nishishi~" I teased everyone, causing Miu to stubbornly walk towards me. Her footsteps echoed on the carpet-lacking wood floor. "Don't you dare start that you little lyin' abortion!" I only smiled in response as I headed towards the next door, watching Miu push past me to open it.

[0007]

We all walked inside the next room which again had no carpet. As we walked towards the next door, another padlock presented itself. I turned around, noticing another door in the room. I headed towards it, hearing it creak as it opened.

The key sat on a desk with two chairs in front of it. I walked over, grabbing the keys. "Nyeh, is that a clock?" Himiko pointed towards what definitely was a clock. "It's nearly one, and because it's dark outside it must almost be 1am..." The detective stated the obvious as I headed towards the door, feeling the keys get snatched from me.

"Hey! Those are mine!" I pouted towards Maki. "I don't trust you with these." "W-What?! But I'm not even a meter away from the lock! W-Why don't y-you trust me?!" I let fake tears roll down the sides of my face as Maki only rolled her eyes in response, opening the next door.

[0008]

The next room we stepped foot into was much different then any other we had walked into before. "W-Which way do we go?!" Three new doors in the room presented themselves, with only one door having a plaque with a number on it. One door was boarded up and another door had no label.

"Oh, what's that Shuichi?" Kaede pointed towards an item on a table near the detective that had a silver box on it. The detective carefully picked it up, inspecting it. "It's a lighter..." I watched as the detective tested it, watching a small flame appear. "I wonder why a lighter is here..." Kaede questioned, watching the detective turn it off. "We should hold onto it for now, just in case." Maki spoke causing a few others to nod in agreement.

I found myself heading towards the room without a label on the door. My head still aching, I opened it up, hoping to find something to help with the pain. There's two chests here, but maybe... I opened both of them, not finding anything but more coins which I decided to hold onto. Turning around, I walked back over to the others who eyed me. "Aww, hoping I'd give you guys something? Nope! Everything I'm finding is mine!" I yelled, heading towards the next door.

[0009]

"Isn't this room the same as the last one?" Kaede questioned, causing the detective to shake his head. "There's more rooms here, and the door has a padlock on it, see?" Walking away from the others, I began searching for the key. Again heading towards the door without a plaque. I opened it, seeing a dresser with three drawers.

I opened the top drawer, seeing some more coins which I placed in my pocket. The second drawer seemed empty, only having a pencil inside. As I opened the third drawer, I noticed what looked like a bottle of pills. Taking it out, I inspected it, hoping to find a label but to no avail.

Carefully, I opened the bottle seeing plain, white pills inside. Having them here is odd. It wouldn't be so weird if this was a normal hotel, but this isn't a normal hotel, is it? I closed the bottle of pills, putting the container in my pocket. "I found it!" Miu called, running back into the center of the four hallways. I watched her hold the keys above her head, seeming proud of herself.

"Nyeh, my feet hurt..." Himiko complained, sitting on the ground. "I'll carry you Himiko!" Tenko gave Himiko a piggy back ride. I followed the inventor towards the next door as everyone eventually regrouped. "Door number ten! Let's see what this baby has to offer!"

[0010]

*SLAM*

I watched as a bookshelf in the room fell to the ground harshly, causing Kaito to scream. "M-MAKI ROLL!!!" He hugged onto her tightly as she seemed a bit embarrassed by his actions. I rolled my eyes, walking past a boarded off door towards the next door which had a plaque. "Kokichi, w-wait a second!" I sighed, turning around. "What is it Kaeidiot?" "Can we stop for a few minutes? We've just been continuing forwards as if nothing is wrong!"

"Well duh! We're looking for a way out!" I argued, crossing my arms childishly. "W-Well... I... I'm supposed to be d-dead... And-" "Yeah, yeah, we get it! You, Kirumom, Tenko, Angie, and Korekiyo are all supposed to be dead, yet here you are! Standing around isn't going to help us figure that out!" I placed my hand on the handle of the door.

"Let's just keep going ten more doors! Aren't you at least a liiiiiiitttle bit curious of what's on the other side of each one?" Kaede lowered her head sadly, Shuichi giving me a bit of an angry look. No Monokuma means no punishment for murder. Maybe I should cool the "Evil Supreme Leader" act a bit just in case someone thinks I should be their next victim. "Hurry it up then." Maki pressured. I rolled my eyes at the assassin before opening the door.

[0011]

*Click*

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Blood curdling screams filled the air as I continued to face everyone in the room. Korekiyo and Tenko's bodies fell to the ground as everyone turned away from me. I froze hearing a distorted whisper behind me. "DON'T LOOK AT IT! N-NOBODY LOOK AT IT!" Kaede screamed grasping her head in her hands. I watched a deep blue light from behind me hit the walls.

I closed my eyes, turning around. I felt myself slowly follow the wall past the muffled whispers. Heading further into the room, I continued to feel around, eventually finding the next door handle. With a slightly shaky hand, I turned the handle. I looked up into the next room, seeing it was normal.

I let out a sigh of relief. Cautiously turning back around, I noticed the light had disappeared. Slowly, I walked back through the room, turning the corner only to see nothing there. My head continued to pound and my heart raced. What the fuck was that? Are Tenko and Korekiyo... I walked towards the two on the ground as everyone continued to turn away, some shaking. Himiko layed on the ground next to Tenko's body, covering her eyes. I placed a hand on Tenko's wrist, trying to feel for a pulse.

She's dead... She's definitely dead. This is my fault.

"It's s-safe now." I spoke, mentally cursing at myself for the stutter. Slowly, everyone began opening their eyes again. I could feel their eyes on me as I stepped away from Tenko's body, turning around. "G-Gonta don't understand... W-What going on?" I could hear the gentle giant crying. "Kokichi h-how are you alive?!" Shuichi yelled. I watched as Maki quickly ran towards me. "This is your fault you little piece of shit!" I felt her hands wrap around my neck as I got forced against the wall.

"S-Stop it!" Kaede cried out, running towards us. "Kokichi didn't know! Stop!" My vision blurred as I fell to the ground. "You can't just blame him for-" "He nearly killed us. Are you an idiot? If he didn't open that door then-" "One of us would've opened it eventually!" Kaede argued. Kaede's only standing up for me to try to keep the peace around here... I began to stand, watching almost everyone staring at me.

"I-I'm scared..." Himiko cried, kneeling by Tenko's body. "T-There really are ghosts here..." Kirumi muttered while covering her mouth with one hand. "Kokichi is alive because he didn't look at it..." Shuichi thought aloud. "But we did and we're not dead!" Himiko shouted. "We might not have looked at it long enough. Any longer and we may have died too..." Shuichi admitted, looking at the two bodies on the floor.

"We need to get out of here." Maki glared at me before heading through the doorway to the next room. Kaito followed behind Maki, visibly shaking. I watched as a few others passed by, heading into the next room with caution. We really don't have any other choice but to move forwards, do we? I guess we're just going to have to keep going.

[0012]

"Now that we know we aren't the only ones here, we need to be ready for another encounter. Not to mention there could be other things with us as well." Shuichi announced. "What do we do if we encounter another monster?!" Miu yelled, still afraid. "Well... If it's those eyes then we look away... If there's something else, maybe we could hide in another room." "Or maybe we could hide inside a closet, that might be why they're there..." Kirumi thought.

"That's not gonna work." Kaede spoke, looking towards me. "What do you mean?" Shuichi turned towards Kaede, confused. "Kokichi got pushed out of a closet when he was in there for too long. When he scared Miu, he didn't seem very coordinated when... Exiting." Kaede answered. "I'm right here you know!" "So did ya get pushed out or not?!"

"Yep! I sure did. I guess I was in there for a little bit too long! But you can definitely go inside for at least five seconds!" "Gonta think that if there is monster, then Gonta can only hide for so long from monster?" I nodded, walking towards the next door. "H-Hey! Stop!" Kaito yelled, I only laughed in response. "Calm down! I'm not going to open it... Or am I?"

"We really need to keep moving forwards though. We have no food or water, so we're going to need to keep moving until we find some... And by the looks of it, there could be over a thousand doors." Shuichi said, not seeming to like the thought of it. "Let's keep moving quickly and quietly then. If we're quick, we can make it through within a day. Be ready for anything, and be careful." Maki said with confidence, walking over to the next door. Everyone lined up behind her as she slowly opened it.

[0013]

Maki and Shuichi led everyone as I stayed at the far back. So we're in a haunted hotel with ghosts that can kill us... Fun. The last monster- ghost- or whatever it was were eyes according to Shu. So if there's eyes we need to look away, does that mean there's something we're going to have to look at?-

*Clink*

I watched as the lightbulbs suddenly flickered, a distant glitchy roar becoming more apparent. "HIDE! NOW!" Shuichi commanded as the sound approached fast. I watched all the closets around me get taken. Shit. As it approached even sooner, I opened the door to the next room, seeing another closet.

[0014]

I ran for it, watching Miu follow behind me. I decided to turn left, going even further into the room to a farther closet. As the glitchy roar sounded right next to me, I slipped into a closet, closing it behind me. I watched a smiling face zoom past me, lightbulbs exploding as it did so. The room around me grew dark. I felt my heart beating fast.

Red once again filling my vision, I left the closet into the dark room. I quickly headed towards the next room that was still lit up. I ran towards it, slowing down after stepping inside.

[0015]

I almost died. With the thought lingering in my mind as well as an aching pain, I layed down on the floor. After a minute, I watched as a few people entered the room once again. But not everyone seemed to do so.

First it was Kirumi, Maki, Himiko and Shuichi. Then Kaede, Angie, and Miu followed. "Where's the idiot?" Maki spoke, looking towards the door. Eventually, the ultimate astronaut found his way out of the room shaking with his pants soaking wet.

I felt myself too tired to laugh, but I took a mental note reminding myself to do it later.

"W-Where's Gonta?" Himiko questioned, her voice soft. "Atua says Gonta unfortunately did not make it." Gonta's probably dead... It's definitely easier to ignore Korekiyo and Tenko's deaths since they've died before, but... I stared back into the dark room, hoping to watch the gentle giant leave.

But he never did.

We're only in what... Room fifteen? And three people have died already. We might all be dead before we make it to door fifty. Hearing footsteps beside me, I watched Miu take a seat on the floor beside me, looking exhausted. "T-Thanks you lyin' abortion..." "I-I'm so s-scared!" Himiko cried, causing Angie to give her a hug. "Now now, do not worry Himiko! Atua's divine grace will shield you!" I watched as a few others sat down on the ground, fear lingering on everyone's face except for Maki's.

That assassin won't be able to keep herself held together forever. Well, if she doesn't die before then that is... If we've only encountered two monsters, three if you count the one that pushed me out of the closet. I wonder how many more are here. I felt myself stand again, trying not to look exhausted or afraid.

Walking towards Kaede and Shuichi, I knelt down near them. "Soooo, Mister Detective, got any leads?" "Kokichi I... I have no fucking clue what to do..." I held back a laugh at the swear. Shuichi pulled his knees up to his chest, seeming afraid and confused. "W-We haven't even been here for an hour and we've already lost three people..." Kaede, instead of her usual cheerful self, she looked towards the floor hopelessly.

"Well if you're that worried about loosing more people, let's just make sure that doesn't happen!" Not looking any happier from my words, the detective only looked away further. "Well, we've encountered two monsters! Right? The first one was eyes so... It can be called Eyes! Then if we open a door and we see it, we all yell "Eyes!" So everyone knows to look away, and nobody dies!" I turned around, watching Miu approach. "Since when did you become less of a pain in the ass?"

"Since right now! Trust me, this is a whole new situation so I've lost the urge to kill... For now..." I brought a finger to my lips, not wanting to fully let my façade slip. "Well, I think that idea isn't half-bad for a lying abortion like you. Just don't make me regret saying that." I smiled. "Oh, I will!" I let out another evil laugh, making sure nobody would feel too comfortable around me.

"If we're calling the one you can't look at Eyes... Then what are we calling the last one that... Got Gonta..." Kaede spoke up sadly. "Hmm... What about Rush? Because it rushed through, and we had little to no time to react!" I thought aloud, Miu and Kaede seeming to like the idea. "So, if we hear Rush we could just say "Rush" or "Rush is coming!" and we'll know, right?" Kaede questioned. "Fuck yeah! I like that idea! Then we'll all know in advance and hopefully have enough time to hide!"

"What do you think Shumai?" I questioned the detective, trying to bring him back. "It's not a bad idea..." I watched as he lowered his legs again, seeming a bit more confident. "Kokichi, what about the thing that pushed you out of the closet? Shouldn't we give that one a name too?" I made an obvious thinking face before facing the detective. "What do you think Mister Detective? It pushed me out of the closet I was hiding in for too long." The Ultimate Detective seemed to think about it for a minute.

"Let's call it Hide. After all, it's a bit ironic..." "Oh. My. God! I think that's a great idea Shu!" I stood up again, looking towards everyone else who seemed to be listening to our conversation. "Alright! Come on guys, we're not going to let some haunted hotel kill some of us and get away with it!" Kaede yelled, her usual self seeming to return. As the others nodded in agreement, they began standing up once again. "Let's go! Did everyone hear the names we gave the monsters?"

Everyone remaining nodded as we all gathered near the next door, ready to look away or to run. Kaede held her hand on the door handle, eventually opening it.

[????]

"It's... A long hallway with a bunch of windows." Kaede spoke as people began piling inside. "Any lights flickering?" Kirumi questioned. "No, it doesn't look like it just yet." Rain loudly clashed against the windows outside as I felt my legs carry me down the long hallway. This room is making my head hurt even more. I tried to shake off the feeling, only for it to not get worse nor better.

I watched as Shuichi and Miu began searching the two drawers at the end of the hallway, but they didn't seem to find anything. We all gathered by the door again, Shuichi being the one to open it this time.

[????]

As we entered, no monsters seemed present. "Let's look around, we could find another lighter just in case we-..." Curious as to why the detective stopped speaking, I found myself walking over to him. "What is it Mister Detective?~"

"Which... Which way do we go? There's three doors with numbers... Sixteen, Seventeen or Eighteen..." I looked around, noticing the detective was right. "W-What if we go through the wrong door?" Miu stuttered, looking afraid again. "Then we probably die." I spoke bluntly, looking at my nails. Maki seemed more curious as she walked close to each door, inspecting them. "There's growling behind two of them. We should go through Eighteen, there's no sound coming from that one."

"B-But what if it's reverse phycology?" Kaede spoke. "Nyeh, I don't think going through the door with growling is a good idea..." Kaede, even seeming unsure of herself, walked towards door sixteen. The sound seemed to scare her, even so, she placed her hand on the handle-

"AAHHH!!" Kaede screamed, getting pushed backwards onto the floor. The door closed shut quickly, the plaque falling onto the ground.. "K-Kaede!" Shuichi cried, running over. "That... Was not my smartest idea..." She grasped her head with her hands tightly. I got closer, noticing tears streaming down the sides of her face. "There w-was a face..." She spoke, already trying to stand again.

"A face? What did it look like?" Shuichi questioned, panicking. "J-Just a creepy face... With eyes and a s-smile..." The Detective helped her stand as she placed a hand on her head. "Y-Yeah... I won't do that again..." Everyone carefully walked over to door eighteen, hesitant to open it. "Since that's a new monster, what do you want to call it Kayayayaday?" Slowly lowering her hand from her head, she thought about it.

"What about... Dupe?" That's not the best name, but then again maybe I shouldn't keeping asking. After all, she was just attacked and she doesn't look so good. This time Maki placed her hand on the door handle, slowly turning it until it opened, revealing a smaller room with yellow walls, and a single door.

[0018]

"We should be memorizing what door we're on just in case we need to avoid Dupe again." The Detective spoke, cautiously watching Kaede as she walked. Kaede's head seems to be hurting a lot worse than mine... Maybe the monsters here don't physically hurt us but each time we encounter one our brains might not be able to process it. So the worse the monster we see is, the more our heads hurt... I could be wrong, but I did encounter Hide and my head still hurts from when it pushed me out. Although my head could just hurt from the collision with the ground. Why is it always my head? At this rate it'll probably get me killed, or at the very least knocked out...

"Is everybody ready to go into the next room?" Maki questioned, standing by the next door. I watched most people hesitantly nod, some preparing to look away while others prepared to run. Maki placed her hand on the handle, turning it.

[0019]

"That's a very... Dark room..." Maki spoke, a concerned tone in her voice. "I-I have that lighter, remember?" Shuichi spoke up, pulling the item out from his pocket. He lit it, walking into the dark room. I followed a bit further behind, keeping my distance from the group that was huddled together.

"H-Hey Maki-roll. D-Did you just- AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!" I covered my ears hearing Kaito's scream. I watched as he ran forwards into the darkness. "Stop you idiot!" I watched as a dim light filled the room, Kaito supposedly having found the door.

"Pssst."

I jumped hearing the sound. As I looked towards the direction of the noise, I saw what Kaito must've seen. "S-Shit!" I yelled as it screamed, disappearing into the darkness. I felt myself almost stumble backwards as I quickly ran towards the light coming from the door.

"Pssst."

I looked at it again, hearing it screech before once again disappearing into the darkness. It didn't hurt me, so maybe I have to keep looking at it. I finally made it out of the dark room, hoping it wouldn't come back.

[0020]

I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief seeing how much brighter the room was. "M-Maki-roll..." I looked towards Kaito, seeing a large visible bite mark on the astronauts face. Blood seeped out of it as the assassin quickly walked towards Kaito, inspecting his injury. That ruins my theory from earlier that all the monsters here only cause our heads pain.

"Pssst."

I immediately turned my head towards the noise, seeing the strange creature scream at me once again before disappearing. I began looking around. Is there another one? I thought they were only in dark rooms because I haven't seen any in bright rooms, unless that one followed me out of it. I made my way to the opposite side of the room, away from the darkness.

"Kokichi?"

I jumped, my head quickly turned in the direction of the voice. After seeing it was just Shuichi, I let out a sigh of relief. "Could you see it?" I questioned the detective who only looked at me as if I was insane. "See what?" "The weird monster with the smiling face that whispered in my ear!" He only continued to look at me confused. "I s-saw it..." Kaito muttered, Maki using a piece of the astronauts jacket to wrap up his wound in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

"Did it scream at you?" "Y-Yeah... That thing was... Freaky..." Kaito answered me, still looking very much afraid. "If it screamed at you, wouldn't we have heard it?" Shuichi asked, once again confused. "You should've, buuutttt this is a haunted hotel after all! You never know what you're gonna find next!" I smiled, trying to push down my new paranoia.

"Well, since you and Kaito were the only ones who saw it... Can you tell us what it does? You said it... Whispered?" Kaede questioned, still seeming weak. "It goes "Pssst" right in your ear! Kaito looked away from it, which got him bit. Buuutttt, you're really supposed to look *at* it. Then it screeches at you and then disappears back into the darkness!"

"Nyeh, then we should call it Screech." Himiko spoke up, not as afraid as earlier. "Atua believes that is a wonderful idea!" Well then... I fucking hate Screech. Already being able to tell it wouldn't be my last encounter with that monster, I headed towards the next door. I stood outside of it, waiting for everyone to eventually gather near it. After Maki finished wrapping up Kaito's injury to the best of her ability, she walked over.

I watched the assassin place her hand on the door handle. "You guys ready?" Everyone nodded, getting ready for whatever was on the other side of the door. Carefully, Maki opened it.

[0021]

*THUD*

*Clink*

"IT'S RUSH! GO HIDE!" Maki yelled as people began running towards the closets. I ran to the closet at the far end of the room, slipping inside. "THE NEXT ROOM! GO TO THE NEXT ROOM!" Miu screamed. I watched as two figures ran past me into the next room. It suddenly got dark as the lightbulbs went out, Rush's screams vanishing.

As I stepped back into the dark room, I knew I didn't want to see Screech again. I headed in the direction of where the two ran past me went. I nearly felt myself collide with the wall as I continued heading forwards.

[0022]

I smiled seeing the light of the next room, I ran towards it without hesitation.

"Pssst."

I turned towards the sound, watching Screech scream before disappearing into the darkness again. "EEEEEEK!!" I heard Miu scream. Not long after, I found myself in a bright room.

[0023]

I quickly looked around, making sure Screech wasn't there again. After seeing it wasn't there to scare me, I watched Miu and Himiko ran out of the dark room, others following behind. Maki, Kaito, Kaede, Angie, Kirumom and Shu... Nobody died. "W-We all made it!" Kaede cheered. "We just need to keep up this pace and watch out for any m-monsters..." I watched Kaede's expression become pained as she placed a hand on her head again.

"K-Kaede, are you okay?" Shuichi asked. "Y-Yeah... My head just... Really hurts... It's not getting worse or better." I felt the pill bottle still in my pocket. If I give it to her, this will definitely ruin my "Evil Supreme Leader" façade... But Monokuma is gone. It most definitely would've made an appearance by now, I'm sure of it... I watched as a bright blue light began surrounding Kaede.

What the fuck?... Can nobody else see that?... I looked at everyone else in the room, nobody seemed to take notice to the blue sparkles around The Ultimate Pianist. I moved my hand away from my pocket, watching the sparkles disappear.

I walked over to the detective and the pianist.

"Heyyyy Shumai. Do you think Monokuma is involved in with this?" The detective seemed to think about it for a minute before shaking his head. Knowing fully well the pills could possibly help Kaede recover, I turned around, heading towards the next door instead. I pushed away the guilt that creeped up my spine. I need to be the Ultimate Supreme Leader. Monokuma could appear any minute and...

I killed Tenko and Korekiyo. I could've stopped it, I could've prevented one at least... But I didn't do anything about it. I clutched my hands tightly, turning around again. I have to assume Monokuma is gone. He wanted to watch us suffer, and we're so much more hopeful here. He would've appeared by now, right?... Right.

Seeing the light blue sparkles around Kaede again, I headed towards her.

"Hey Kaede, I'm gonna go check on Kaito, okay?" "Y-Yeah, okay." Maybe I can hide this from everyone except Kaede... But she's probably the most likely to tell anyone about anything "Unusual" that I do. I shook my head, hoping for the best. "Hey Kayayayaday!" I greeted her, who didn't seem to like the nickname. "Hey Kokichi. Do you... Need something?"

I rolled on my heels. "Wellll, you see. I found something in a drawer, and it... Might be able to help with your head pain. Might. Since I found it in this hotel, it could also kill you. But it's up to you if you want to take them or not." Seeming more confused then anything, I handed her the pill bottle.

I turned around, feeling myself wanting to get out of the situation. "W-Wait." I jumped feeling her hand on my shoulder. "Oh, s-sorry. I just... Um... I just wanted to say, thank y-..."

*Thud*

"EYES!"

I felt even more pain in my head as I noticed Eyes, I turned around quickly, seeing Kaede's body on the ground. "Whoever opened the door... Just killed Kaede!" I yelled, making it known to everyone that whoever had opened the door just ended the Ultimate Pianists life. "NOO!! KAEDE!" I heard the detective cry out, running past me towards the now dead body of The Ultimate Pianist. "W-WHO OPENED THE DOOR!?" Miu yelled, clearly angry.

"I did."

Maki... Maki just killed Kaede. I pushed down the anger, knowing I'd have to put on a fake grin. I smiled, grabbing the pills on the ground that had rolled away from the now dead Kaede. I placed them back into my pocket, not looking in the direction of Eyes. I continued to look away as I walked passed it, into and through the next room.

[0024]

Looking away from the direction of the glow from Eyes, I continued forwards, eventually making my way into the next room.

[0025]

"Nyeh, E-Eyes are gone..." Slowly but surely, everyone entered the next room. Shuichi entering last, crying. "M-Maki... Why?" The detective looked up towards the assassin, all previous trust they had in one-another being shattered. "I didn't think it'd be there again." She spoke bluntly, not even a hint of guilt in her eyes. She turned away from the detective, heading over towards a painting on the other side of the room.

Kaito, not sure who to follow, still decided to head towards Maki. That idiot is still trying to find reason with that assassin... Next time Rush is coming maybe I should take- No. I watched as the detective knelt on the ground, crying. "She's gone... Again..." Nobody, not even Kirumi or Himiko stepped near the sad detective.

They're not going to make it out of here like this.

"Hey, Shu." I whispered, kneeling down in front of him. "Kaede wouldn't want you to sit here and cry. She'd want you to keep moving forwards. Remember what she said before she died in the killing game? She said "Shuichi, you better not lose. You can't lose to this killing game! I know you can beat it! I believe in you guys! So please, believe in yourself! ...Okay? It's a promise." You promised you'd end the killing game, and even though you aren't there any more, I'm pretty sure the same applies here. She'd want us to get out of here, alive." I paused before continuing.

"Remember what happened after Kirumi and Korekiyo got executed? You continued forwards strong! Even though it hurt sometimes, you still made it through! And you know... It's not guaranteed that we'll all make it out of here alive, but there's nothing stopping us from trying. Right?" I watched the detective wipe away some of his tears with his sleeve. "R-Right..."

"We're only in room twenty-five! Who knows how many more we have left to go! We can't just give up so easily!" I watched as the look in the detectives eyes slowly became less fearful. "Since four of us have died so far, the odds are stacked against us! But that only means we'll have to try harder, right? We'll get out of here! Even if it's just one of us, I know someone will!" Slowly, a gentle smile found its way onto the detectives face.

He looked up at me, finally seeming to realize who was truly comforting him. Surprise seemed to become his new expression. I quickly stood and turned away, trying to avoid the mushy talk. "Kokichi, I-" I cut the detective off. "Anyways, we have plenty more doors to go! Even though miss assassin killed Kayayayaday... I guess technically she didn't do it directly. Or that'd mean I'm in the blame for Tenko and Korekiyo's death!"

"Nyeh, Maki knew what could've been on the other side of the door and you didn't." Himiko seemed to be taking my side rather than the assassins. "E-Enough taking sides! We need to get outta here before we starve to death!" Miu yelled, scared but probably getting hungry. I walked towards the next door, not opening it yet. "Worst case scenario, we could just eat the drywall!"

"I-I'm not too sure I'd want to do that..." Shuichi spoke, coming towards the next door. "Well Luminary of the Idiots and miss Assassin. Are you ready to continue?" The two faced us, Maki still having a blank face. "Yes." "Well then, let's see what's behind door twenty-six!" I placed my hand on the handle, twisting it open.

[0026]

"Nyeh, what are those blue circles around the paintings? And where's the next door?" I looked around the room, figuring out the puzzle. "You need to put the paintings in the right spots!" I grabbed a square painting, putting it where the square outline was. I took the oval painting from where the square outline was, moving it towards the oval outline. I watched Maki grab the other pictures, moving the last piece of the puzzle into place.

*Ding Ding*

I looked towards the fireplace which moved into the ground, revealing the next door. "Come on! Let's go to twenty seven!" I cheered childishly as if it were a game. Maki didn't react, keeping a blank expression as she walked towards the next door. "Hey! No assassins are allowed to open doors anymore!" I spoke sternly, watching anger flare in her eyes.

"Come on, let's just go." Shuichi walked passed, opening the next door.

[0027]

Just a normal room. Blue walls, grey carpet... A fireplace... I walked passed it all, heading straight towards the next door. I waited until everyone was there before I placed my hand on the handle, twisting it.

"Shit."

[0028]

I looked into the dark room, knowing what we'd have to face again. "We can use my lighter again, it might keep Screech away... When you hear it whisper, you're supposed to look at it, right?" "Yep! That's right Shu!" I hid my nervousness as we stepped into the room. "This is a lot bigger than I thought..." We continued to walk forwards until a door with a padlock appeared in our vision. Well, shit. "Let's just stick together until we find the keys, okay?" "Nyeh, sounds like a good idea..." Himiko agreed with the detective, staying close by.

We walked into the first room, checking in drawers, on the bed, under the bed, on the chairs, but the key was nowhere in sight. "Oh, there's another door in this room..." Shuichi pointed out. Wait, if there's another door maybe we're in that room again with multiple rooms inside of it. Which means there's three other doors in this room, but we were on twenty eight, right? Which means we need to go through twenty nine. That shouldn't be too hard.

Quickly, we made our way into the next room, checking in drawers, under the bed, under the sheets- "Nyeh, I found it." Himiko called, holding the keys above her head. "Where were they?" Shuichi asked. "On a stool." "Let's get out of here then-"

*Click*

I watched as the room became engulfed in darkness, more then one problem arising. "Heyyyy, I think now is the time that I should probably mention that Dupe is behind a door in this room. We're supposed to go through door twenty nine, which might now be a problem." I explained, looking around just in case.

"You don't say." Maki spoke sternly, her voice seeming to get quieter. "W-Wait! Maki-roll! Let me hold your hand! I don't want to get lost in here!" After hearing Kaito's voice trail off, Angie spoke up. "Atua believes Kaito's idea to hold hands is not a bad one! That way, none of us will get lost!"

"Pssst."

I looked in the direction of the sound, watching Screech disappear back into the darkness.

"Nyeh, that's not a terrible idea... Where are you guys?" "I am over here." Kirumi spoke. I immediately walked towards her voice, somehow managing to grab her hand. "Kirumom will protect us from the evil Screech!" "Nyeh, I believe that..." I heard footsteps pass me, supposedly Himiko's. "Is this your hand Kirumi?" Himiko questioned. "Yes, it is mine." "Nyeh, who just grabbed my other hand?" "It's Angie Yonaga! I believe Atua will lead us out of this mess."

"Hey Pooichi! I got your hand and I know all the dirty thoughts that are filling your filthy virgin mind!" "W-What?-" I listened to Shuichi's voice, quickly finding the detectives empty hand. "Now that we're all chained together, let's go!" I walked forwards, having no idea where I was going.

*Bonk* *Bonk* *Bonk* *Bonk* *Bonk* *Bonk*

"Ow... Did you just lead us into a wall?" Himiko questioned. I couldn't help but laugh. "Maybe~" I teased, feeling Shuichi begin leading us instead. It wasn't long before I felt the detective jump, panicked. "Did you get bit?" I questioned. "N-No... But I saw what I think was Screech." "HEEEEE!!" Miu screamed, meaning she definitely saw it or got bit. "Remember to make sure to look at it when it whispers!"

As we continued forwards, I suddenly heard a deep growl in front of us. I can't stop everyone in time! It won't work and Dupe will get someone else- Shit, I need to take one for the team before anyone else walks into it! I slid my hands out of Kirumi and Shuichi's grasp, feeling myself get pulled forwards.

"Hck-"

*Thud*

My head stung as I felt myself laying on the floor. "W-Was that Dupe?!" Miu yelled. "I remembered hearing that virgin before!" I felt myself struggle to get back on my feet. "I-Is everyone okay? Who got duped?" Shuichi questioned. I felt myself having to close my eyes tightly in order to reduce the pain.

I let out a sigh of relief finding Kirumi and Shuichi's hands again.

"Pssst."

I opened one eye, quickly looking in the direction of the sound. After watching Screech disappear, I closed my eye again as a sickening feeling washed over me. I could feel myself struggling to stand up right as I felt us get turned around, eventually walking in a different direction. "Hey... Kokichi? Did you get duped? Are you okay?" I opened my mouth to respond to the detective, but no words came.

"Pssst."

I spun my head in the direction of the noise, watching Screech disappear again. After turning my head, I felt everything around me spin despite knowing I was in pitch black darkness. "Over here." I heard Maki to the left, feeling everyone turn and begin walking in that direction.

"Himiko, do you still have the keys?" Maki questioned. "Yeah... Let me follow your voice so I can open the door..." Seconds felt like hours as eventually the door in front of us opened with a click.

[0029]

I opened my eyes hearing the noise, stepping inside the bright room nearly falling forwards. "H-Hey, Kokichi? Are you okay?" I tried to talk again, but to no avail. I need to take a few minutes before I keep going... I tried to sit down, only to feel myself fall instead. "That brats on the brink of death." Really comforting to hear, thanks Maki.

I rested my head on the floor, hoping to get even a tiny bit better. "Kokichi, w-we can wait a few minutes if you need to rest..." Shuichi offered. "Tha....nks... but... Supreme... Lea...ders... Don't... Rest..." I barely managed to speak, trying to get back up onto my feet. As a calming warmth found its way around me, I watched my world grow dark.

...

I slowly opened my eyes, still feeling my world spin. What have I been doing this whole time? The pills, I need to try the pills! I tried to sit up, barley managing to do so. "H-He's already awake!?" Miu questioned, seeming confused about something. Knowing I wouldn't be able to answer, I took the bottle of pills out of my pocket. "Hey, what are those?- Wait!" Hearing Shuichi try to stop me, I quickly swallowed as many pills as I could before the detective took the rest away.

"T-They could be dangerous! Where did you even get these?" Ignoring the detectives question, I felt my head hurt a little less. It was still worse then after Hide kicked me out of the closet, but it wasn't as bad as it was seconds ago. Feeling a bit energized, I tried to stand again only to succeed. "Wow! Those pills really are magic~" I laughed, feeling a tiny bit better, barely enough to act as usual.

"Did those pills just... Heal you?" Maki questioned, very confused. "Yep! They sure did! I was risking everything there because I had no idea what those pills could've done! But it looks like I made the right decision!" I smiled, ignoring the shocked faces of the others as I headed towards the next door. "Door number thirty! I wonder what's-"

As quickly as I opened the door, I closed it again. "What is it?" The detective asked, curious as to what I saw. "It's another dark room..." I sighed watching everyone gather around me. "Kokichi, are you feeling okay enough to continue?" I smiled, knowing we'd have to continue no matter my condition. "Yeah! Let's do this!"

"Wait." Maki spoke suddenly, walking towards the detective. "If those pills can supposedly heal you, give the rest to Kaito." I watched the detective take the pills out of his pocket, giving them to Kaito. I watched the astronaut take the rest, dropping the empty bottle on the floor. "Hey... I really am feeling better Maki-roll!" Curious, Maki removed the astronauts make-shift bandage.

"What the hell..." Maki uttered, all of us watching Kaito's wound heal right before our eyes. Those pills really are magic... I should keep an eye out for anymore. "You guys feelin' good enough too keep pushing?" Miu asked in a seductive tone. Rolling my eyes in response, I walked over to the door, placing my hand on the handle. "Nyeh, let's do this."

[0030]

I quickly found the wall in the dark, following it forwards. "Nyeh, I think we just have to keep moving forwards here." Himiko stated from somewhere in the darkness. I have no idea what I believed in before, but after this... I think I might believe in ghosts-

"Pssst."

I looked in the direction of the whisper, watching the glowing eyes disappear into the darkness. -And monsters. Or whatever the fuck Screech is supposed to be... Unless this is a simulation, but would that mean we were inside of a simulation that was inside a simulation? What the hell is going on here... First a robotic bear and now monsters. How fun!

"Pssst."

Again looking in the direction of the sound I continued walking forwards. "I found the door." Kirumi stated sounding near by. I followed her voice, watching light engulf the area as we stepped into the light room.

[0031]

*Clink*

"RUSH!"

Shit, it sounds closer than usual- I need to hide. I ran past everyone, turning the corner seeing a bed. Noticing everyone took the closets, I hesitantly got underneath a bed. I watched Rush go past, not seeming to notice me. I let out a short sigh of relief as it disappeared, opening the next door.

I got out from underneath the bed, trying to get out of the dark room as quickly as possible. I headed towards it, eventually making my way inside.

[0032]

I looked around, double checking for Screech before watching everyone else enter the bright room. Kirumom, Shuichi, Maki, Angie, Himiko, Kaito, Miu- Everyone's okay.

"I-I nearly died!" Himiko cried out, seeming afraid. "What happened?" The detective asked Himiko, seeming confused. "Miu took the closet I was going to hide in. I watched rush come at me from down the hallway we w-were just in and I barely hid under a bed in time!"

"I-I'm sorry! I-" "Please stop fighting. Everyone is alright. We should create a pattern for finding closets and beds, since beds seem to work too." Kirumi suggested. "What do you mean?" The detective asked as the maid begun her explanation. "Those who can run the fastest should head for the farthest closets. Angie and Himiko for example should take the closer ones. Shuichi, Kaito, and Miu should head for ones a bit further away but not very far. Maki, Kokichi and myself should head for the farthest ones since I know Maki and Kokichi both have great speed."

"What? That asshole isn't faster then me!" Kaito yelled in my direction. "Oh really? Want to test that? Next time Rush comes we should see who can run to a far closet! Loser gets killed!" I watched the detective let out an annoyed sigh. "What is everyone's opinions on that idea?" Normally I'd probably go for a closer closet, but I've been having to go for some of the farthest ones so far anyways. It shouldn't be too much of a problem to keep doing it. As long as I don't get hurt again by Dupe, or if I got injured by Screech...

"Nishishi~ I like it! After all, Maki would be extremely sad if Kaito were to die! Maybe he should get first dibs on a closet- Even before Angie and Himiko!" "W-Why you little-" The detective stepped between us, speaking up. "We can argue later. We need to survive for now, okay? We only have so much time to get out of here."

"I agree with Shumai! Let's go!" I smiled, walking over to the next door. "Is everyone ready?" Kirumi asked, glancing around. Everyone nodded, and I turned the door handle, hoping for the best.

[0033]

"Oh! A normal room! Finally!" I watched rain hit the windows. The room turned to the right and had lots of tables and closets. As I walked further into the room, I paid attention to the lights incase they flickered, but they didn't. Finally! A break room between break rooms! I walked over to a table with a drawer.

I opened the drawer.

"AAHHH!"

I yelled, stepping backwards trying to get the spider off my face. It bit me!- Get it off, get it off! Before I could smack the spider, it had escaped. "Kokichi?! I've never heard you scream like that before!" Kirumi yelled, sounding startled. "W-Where did it go?!" I looked around, wondering where the stupid spider had gone.

"Pfft..."

I looked over to Maki who was laughing. "HOW DARE YOU! I COULD'VE DIED!" I let fake tears fall as I pointed at the assassin. Quickly, I looked back into the drawer the spider jumped out of, seeing a web. "Timothy..." I read the name in the web out loud. A smart spider attacked me! I'm never opening a drawer again! I told myself as I opened another drawer, completely ignoring what I had previously thought.

"Nyeh, Kokichi, what happened?" I made a pouty face as I continued to shove gold coins into my pockets. "A spider attacked me! It was Timothy!" Everyone in the room looked at me as if I was going crazy.

I probably was.

Eventually we regrouped at the next door. My heart is still beating like crazy from that damn spider! As I felt myself become even more paranoid, we all stood at the next door. "You guys ready?" I asked everyone. Seeing them nod in response, I opened the next door.

[0034]

*Clink*

"IT'S RUSH! HIDE!" I ran forwards, noticing only five closets were in the room. I opened the door to the next room seeing how dark it was. "Run backwards! There were more closets!-" Kirumi commanded, but I stood still. "Kirumom, wait." I stopped the maid. "A-Are you-..." She seemed to notice it too. "I don't hear it coming..." Maki noted. "I think you guys can come out..."

Everyone began stepping out of the closets, taking note of the lack of noise. "Hey, there's an eye on the wall!" Miu pointed towards a single eye on the walls. "Don't look at it-" I cut off the assassin. "Nishishi! I'm still looking at it, and it's not emitting any weird light! I think it's okay to look at."

Carefully, everyone began to look at the eye as it darted between us. "Nyeh, that's creepy. I think it's watching us..." I looked towards the dark room ahead. "Let us keep moving forwards!" Angie spoke, walking into the dark room with confidence. "Ah, there are more eyes in here!" Angie called from within the darkness. "Let's follow her before she gets herself killed." Maki said sternly, following Angie. Soon, I found myself following the assassin.

[0035]

"Pssst."

I looked in the direction of Screech, watching it disappear into the darkness. I can't believe I'm getting used to this. We're only on door thirty five and it feels like we've been here for so much longer. Screech doesn't even seem very scary anymore, but this is becoming more like a pattern... I wonder what the eyes mean though. If I've learned anything from these kinds of situations, that means a boss is coming. Just like how the class trials we had led up to the executions, which wasn't a boss but it was big. Are we in a simulation? Maybe we're in some sort of simulation game?

"Pssst."

I looked at it again, watching it disappear. "I opened the next door, it's another dark room with more eyes." Maki stated as I followed her voice.

[0036]

Still cluelessly walking through the darkness, I listened to the footsteps of others, trying to pinpoint their location. I looked at the dimly glowing eyes who seemed to be looking at different people in the dark. That helps... As I followed the direction they were looking, eventually the door to the next room opened up. It was bright.

[0037]

I stepped inside watching the lights flicker again. As almost everyone tried to hide, I listened. It's still quiet. Maybe Rush doesn't come while the eyes are out for some reason... I walked into the center of the room, noticing multiple doors again. Thirty eight, thirty nine... And another thirty nine. We definitely need to go through thirty eight, and we need a key.

I began searching for the key as I listened to everyone come out from hiding, again confused as to where Rush was. I opened a drawer, finding the key a lot faster then expected. "Is Rush not going to make an appearance again?" Kirumi asked, walking over. "I guess not!" I let out a chuckle as I began heading towards door thirty eight.

Seeing everyone gathering around quickly, I put the key into the padlock, opening it.

[0038]

"A long ominous hallway... Not creepy at all..." Himiko said sarcastically, staying close to Kirumi. "Where did the eyes go? They're not in this room..." The astronaut pointed out, staying by Maki. "Oh! I know this! It's the part where the big boss appears after multiples rooms of warning!" I spoke in a joking tone. "Nyeh, don't jinx it!"

As we approached the end of the hallway, Maki spoke up. "I think it's too late for that..." Oh shit, I might've actually jinxed it. I turned around in the direction Maki was looking. We all seemed to do so as a black puddle formed on the ground.

I watched a monster covered in a dark black substance crawl out from the puddle, the same substance sticking to it as it did so. It's eye landed on me as it fully pulled itself out of the puddle, getting into a sprinting position.

"Guys... RUN! NOW!"

I commanded watching the monster run after us. I turned around, running to the next door, flinging it open.

[0039]

The creature screamed, red lights filled the next room as I watched bookshelves fall down. Taking the lead, I crawled underneath the fallen bookshelf, getting farther ahead of everyone else. I continued to run, hearing the footsteps of the monster pounding against the floor.

[0040]

More doors?! I looked left and right, eventually going around the pile noticing the door with the plaque on it. "THIS WAY!" I pointed to the next door watching Maki, Kirumi, and Kaito run past. Hearing the footsteps get louder, I ran beside Miu as we made it into the next room.

[0041]

Making it through the door, I felt sweat begin to fall down the sides of my face. I crawled underneath another bookshelf. I began picking up the pace as I ran towards the next door, hearing the monster getting closer.

[0042]

"GO LEFT!" Kirumi pointed to the door to our left. Maki flung it open. I ran fast, but not enough to loose the people behind me. My heart beat filled my ears as I made it to the next door.

[0043]

I watched hands break through the windows as chandeliers fell onto the floor, starting a fire. I ran past one, avoiding the hands as I ran towards the door ahead.

"AAAHHHH! HELP ME!"

I stopped, turning around. I watched Himiko cry in fear, her leg seeming to be caught on a chandelier. I watched the detective run to her to help, I couldn't stop myself as I did the same. Looking down at the magicians leg, a whole metal spike had punctured through it. I watched Shuichi try to pull it out, but to no avail.

I looked up, watching the monster run towards us, closing in fast. I grabbed Himiko's leg, trying to pull it out which caused her to scream. "S-Shit, Kokichi we have to go!" Shuichi cried, grabbing my arm. "I'M NOT LETTING SOMEONE ELSE DIE!" I pushed the detective away, watching him turn around and begin sprinting to the next door.

Himiko screamed, tears falling down her face. "JUST GO!" I watched fire begin to spread onto the magicians clothes as she cried out in pain. Her scared eyes seemed to go blank as the monster got close, the odd substance covering her body. Knowing it was too late to save her, I turned around hearing the monster right behind me.

I'm not gonna make it, I'm not gonna make it! I internally screamed as I ran through fire, getting burnt. I watched Maki at the next door, ready to shut it on me. Seeing the horrified look on everyone's faces, I sped up seeing the assassin closing the door. I closed my eyes, running as fast as I could.

[0044]

*SLAM*

I heard the door close behind me, hearing the monster banging on the door. Seeing no more eyes in the room, I stopped. "H-Himiko's dead..." Miu stuttered, sounding sad yet exhausted. I looked up seeing the detective approach me, fear still clear in his eyes. "A-Are you okay?..." I let out a short laugh. "We might've been able to save her." I stated simply, trying to calm my racing heart. "No. We couldn't, it was too late. Even if you did get her unstuck, she wouldn't be able to run. You'd have to carry her, and that'd be too slow anyways." Maki spoke, the danger of the situation finally seeming to get to her.

"How close behind me was it?" I asked, seeing if at least one person would answer. "It w-was practically touching your ass! If you were even a tiny bit slower, y-you would've died for sure!" Miu explained, still looking scared and exhausted. "Atua says Himiko is in a better place!"

"I'm sure any place is better than this one... I think I'd rather be back in the killing game again..." Kirumi explained, seeming to also recall her execution. This place is much better then that stupid killing game. Our odds of us surviving together here are greater than they would be in the killing game. Plus, anyone who's died so far it's seemed to be done quickly and relatively painless... Except Himiko. But I'd still think it'd be better than getting executed by Monokuma.

"H-Hey... What do you think we should call that thing?" Kaito spoke up, still seeming extremely scared. "It had multiple eyes watching us, and it had an eye on it, but we've already named something Eyes..." the detective said, bringing a hand to his face. "Let's call it Seek then." Maki suggested. "Why Seek?" Kirumi asked, Maki beginning her explanation.

"It's eyes seemed to be searching for us before it came after us. As if it was seeking us out, waiting to attack." "That's... Not bad..." Miu said, leaning against a wall. Tenko, Korekiyo, Gonta, Kaede, and now Himiko... Well, at least we're almost at door fifty and technically we haven't lost more than half of us yet, which might change soon. Especially if we come across Seek again...

Suddenly, pain slowly became more apparent in my legs. Right, I got burnt... I looked down at my legs, seeing the lower part of my pants burnt and charred. At least my shoes seemed to have protected my feet relatively well, I should try looking for something to help with my injuries.

Knowing we'd have to continue, I tightly shut my eyes in hopes to get rid of at least some of the pain in my head. Trying to shake off as much of the pain as possible, I headed towards the next door. I placed my hand on the door handle, watching as people gathered around. "Is everyone ready to keep going?" "Yeah, I think so." Maki answered for everyone as I turned the handle. I swear to Atua if it's another dark room-

[0045]

I smiled as I stepped into the bright room, a metal-fence looking wall with a door in front of the frame stopping us from getting to the next door. Shuichi walked up to it, inspecting it. "I think there might be a button or a lever somewhere to open it." Shuichi explained. "Down here perhaps?" The maid pointed towards a door she had opened which led down stairs.

My feet carried me towards the now opened door. "Who wants to go with me?" I questioned, noticing how scared almost everyone seemed to be. "I'll go." Maki stated, walking past me. Smiling, I followed behind her down the stairs as she opened the door into the new room.

I looked around, noticing how different it looked from other rooms. "I wonder why there's so many wine aging barrels, but they're all empty." Maki spoke, pulling a cork out of a barrel. "Who cares about those! We need to find a button, or maybe a lever!" I put on a childish attitude as I began wandering around, eventually standing in front of another fenced wall.

"Wow! Look I found the lever!" Getting the assassins attention, I pointed at the lever on the other side of the fenced wall. I smiled seeing she wasn't amused at the way I was acting. "Follow me." I followed the assassin further into a room, eventually by a vent. "The lever is on the other side of the vent. Go pull it." I watched the assassin remove the vent cover. "Aww, why do I have to do it?"

"Do you want to die?" Stopping myself from annoying the assassin even more, I let out an annoyed exhale as I crawled into the vent, the burns on my legs hurting as I did so. Eventually, I found my way to the other side, seeing the lever. I pushed the vent cover off, standing up again. Carefully, I listened to the sound it made as I pulled it. "It opened!" Kirumi called from upstairs.

I made a face at the assassin as she began leaving the room, seeming to ignore me. "Hey! Wait for me!" I pouted, watching as she closed the door. She's totally going to try to get Rush to come after me! Shit, I need to get out of here. I began crawling back through the vent again, only to realize the vent cover was back on.

She really is trying to get me killed! I tried turning around in the vent, kicking at the cover. Why isn't this as easy as the one near the lever!? Now completely having rolled onto my back, I continued to kick at the cover as it seemed to get looser.

After a few more minutes of kicking, I smiled feeling the vent get kicked out. That dumb assassin is gonna regret it! She probably didn't even try to kill me in the killing game because of the risk of her getting killed, but now that there isn't a punishment, she's going to keep trying. I crawled out of the vent, getting back on my feet.

I ran towards the closed basement door, opening it. I looked up the stairs seeing the next door closed as well. Shit, I need to hurry up just in case Rush comes. Opening the door at the top of the stairs, I looked towards the now opened gate seeing the next door open as well. I ran through it, eventually spotting everyone again who seemed hesitant to continue.

[0046]

I laughed, making my presence known.

"Aww, worried about lil ol' me? I don't get left behind that easily~" I hummed, staring at the assassin who looked disappointed. "Maki said you got trapped?" Shuichi explained looking confused. That was a dumb lie. "Yep~ But I got out!" Everyone seemed to look at Maki confused, knowing her story probably didn't line up properly with how I'm still here.

"Anyways~ Let's keep going! We're almost half way to one-hundred! That means if there is one thousand doors, we're still making some serious progress!" I passed the assassin, making sure to glare at her as I did so. I placed my hand on the door handle, opening the door to the next room.

[0047]

"This one's just the same as the last one, just differently colored walls." The detective observed sounding a bit nervous, probably figuring out what Maki had just attempted. Eventually everyone had gathered at the next door, Shuichi being the one to open it.

[0048]

"This one is different." Kirumi pointed out, beginning to walk down the cluttered halls filled with suitcases and crates. I watched the detective try to open many of the seemingly broken doors, but to no avail. Continuing forwards, I made my way down the hall to the next door. I stood in front of it as slowly but surely, everyone found their way to me.

"I suggest we look on every table and in every drawer we see. I'm not sure how many more dark rooms we can progress through with Screech and Dupe as threats." Kirumi explained. I nodded in agreement. I placed my hand on the handle, looking to everyone watching them nod. Seeing as they seemed ready to continue, I twisted the handle, walking into the next room.

[0049]

I stood still hearing a loud roar, my head turned in the direction of the sound. I took mental note of the large door. "That must be door fifty..." Shuichi spoke, cautiously walking up the stairs. "I d-don't like the sound of that..." Kaito stuttered, shaking. "This is t-totally a boss room!" Miu spoke, clinging onto Kirumi. "Atua says the threat isn't large, as long as you are careful!"

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" Miu yelled, not getting a response from Angie. I made my way up the stairs, towards the desk. I couldn't help myself as I began checking the drawers. "Hey! I found a gemstone!" I explained, pulling out a jewel the shape of a diamond. "Now isn't the time for collecting useless objects." Maki spoke, sounding annoyed. "What if the gemstone gives me magical healing abilities?"

"Hand it over!" Miu quickly ran over, trying to snatch it from me. "You haven't been hurt at all! I got burnt a few doors back! I need it more!" I watched Kirumi get in between us, holding out her hands. "We should be discussing what is on the other side of the door." I smiled, shoving the gem into my pocket. "Kirumom is totally right! We have no idea what could be there!"

"We can't just keep waiting here hoping that will let us find out what it is. We're going to need to take a look eventually." Maki explained, walking closer to the door. "Whatever it is, it doesn't sound like Seek." Shuichi admitted, moving towards the door as well. I followed Kirumi as she made her way over there.

"Stay close together. Even though it might not be Seek, we may have to run again." Shuichi explained as Miu got closer to Kirumi, thinking she'd protect her. Miu is really getting too close to a killer. Then again, she's proven to be athletic and determined to escape. She might not kill again unless it's necessary to escape, until then, Maki is my main threat. Maki probably won't hesitate to kill anyone else except Shuichi and Kaito...

"Be ready for anything." Maki spoke, the words directing more towards Kaito rather then anyone else. Slowly, Maki opened the large door. After taking a look inside, she motioned for us to follow. We did so with caution.

[0050]

*Click*

As the door shut behind us, I turned my head to the heavy footsteps. Suddenly, a new monster revealed itself, running in our direction before turning and sprinting to our left. "What do we-" I covered Miu's mouth, realizing what our situation was. 'It seems to be blind, stay quiet and don't move. Not yet.' I whispered to the inventor, who quickly nodded.

I watched as Angie snuck to the right with no hesitation. She's going to die if she keeps doing this shit. I looked towards Kaito who was shaking, clearly terrified. If that idiot keeps acting like a crybaby, he's going to be the one to die next. Even cum dumpster has a higher chance at surviving this then he does.

It's still funny how he was oh-so confident in the killing game. Yet when you throw anything ghost related into the mix, he totally falls apart! I watched as the strange monster walked to the back of the room. "Follow me Kaito." Maki commanded, heading to the right. Kaito hesitantly followed, staying extremely close to Maki.

'Shu, Kirumom, Cum Dumpster, want to go to the left?' I offered, they seemed hesitant before nodding as I took the lead, slowly creeping to the left. As I made my way towards the bookshelves, I felt my head begin to spin. Not now! Shit, I just need to keep moving forwards and to get to the next room.

Trying to ignore the dizziness, I noticed a book slightly pulled out from the shelf. Carefully, I grabbed it, opening it. 'Does it say anything?' 'There's a circle then the number three' I answered Kirumi, holding onto the book. It might be important, I'll keep it with me for now. Making my way to the very left of the room, I took mental note of the closet behind me.

The monsters steps got louder as I watched it walk through the bookshelves, not seeming to detect anything, it turned around and headed back the way it came. I let out a sigh of relief I didn't know I was holding in. 'Here's another book.' I glanced towards the detective, watching him take a book out of the shelf by the closet.

'There's a star then a nine.' He explained, closing the book again afterwards. 'Their might be more of these. Kirumi, could you go tell Maki about the books in case she finds any?' Shuichi continued. Kirumi nodded, turning around and sneaking towards the other side of what looked to be a library.

Not noticing any more books out of place, I continued forwards until I reached the desk. 'What's that?' Miu whispered, pointing towards a piece of paper on the desk. I picked it up, carefully inspecting it. Shapes with roman numerals above them, and it looks like the roman numerals are resulting in the answer to a lock... Or maybe the numbers in the books are the numbers for the padlock code in the order of the shapes. That makes more sense. I looked up, watching Kirumi trailing behind Maki and Kaito as they headed upstairs without any books.

'We're going to need five books. I'm assuming the padlock is upstairs by that door.' I explained, folding the paper quietly before placing it in my pocket. I quieted down watching the monster walk past us and to the right. Eventually, it headed upstairs.

'Should we try to head upstairs then start trying to put the code in?' Shuichi asked. 'Yeah, let's go. The other books might be upstairs.' I explained, heading to the left. Making sure the two were following behind me, I continued towards the closet, staying close to the wall.

I looked towards where we just were, watching the monster walking behind the desk. We need to get out of here fast before that thing finds us. One of us will probably be dead if we don't make it out of here within the next ten minutes, and that's if we're lucky. I began following the wall, sneaking behind the strange statue as I continued to the next closet.

Suddenly, the monster approached. I pressed my back against a wall as it's long arms reached out, nearly touching me. I watched as it went up the stairs, seeming to quicken it's pace. 'Let's wait for it to come back down here, then we'll move.' I ordered, watching Miu and Shuichi nod their heads.

Not long after going upstairs, it came back down. I watched as it passed by us again, heading towards where we had entered. 'Quick, let's go now.' I whispered, crouching as I walked up the stairs towards the door. I noticed Maki crouching behind a plant with a book open in front of her. 'Where's Kirumom and the Idiot?' I questioned the assassin.

'They're both hiding in closets but Hide isn't pushing them out. Angie's up here too, hiding under a table.' The assassin answered. I looked at the book, seeing there was a hexagon with a zero. I took out the paper from my pocket, examining it again. There's the hexagon and the circle, but there's no star... 'Shu, can I see that book again?' I asked the detective as he handed it to me. I placed the books on the ground next to Maki's.

'I think some of the books might be false.' 'What the fuck is that supposed to mean?' Miu asked, getting worried. 'Some of the books are just random shapes and numbers that aren't a part of the code.' I explained, handing the paper to Shuichi.

The footsteps got louder again. 'Shit, we need to hide.' I swore, hesitantly squeezing behind the plant with Maki. I watched as Shuichi and Miu got the same idea as they began trying to fit in the small corner as well. As the footsteps grew louder, I backed as far into the corner as I could. Miu shoved her way past Maki, sitting against the wall beside me.

Shuichi sat in front of me, barely managing to hide behind the bookshelf at all. We sat quietly as we watched the monster walk by, between the other bookshelf before making its way downstairs once again. 'Someone needs to go get the other books, and I have a feeling nobody really wants to do it-'

'I'll go.' Maki and I spoke in sync, cutting off the detective. I looked towards the assassin, knowing she'd probably try to kill me again. It's not too late to change my mind, but she could easily get someone killed and play it off as an accident, including me. Even though I'm not sure what's going on in her head she might risk someone else's life just to end mine. I should stay away from everyone if possible from now on until we're out of here.

Instead of waiting around to do nothing, I stood up, walking past Shuichi. Eventually, I noticed the assassin close behind me as I made my way back downstairs.

I headed straight towards the bookshelves ahead of me, grabbing an out of place book and reading it. Pentagon five. I took a mental note of it as I continued to carry it. Looking backwards, I noticed the assassin was nowhere to be seen. As if being hunted by two things wasn't bad enough, I listened as the monster seemed to speed up even more.

Quickly, I walked past the last bookshelf, taking note of the closet to my right. As I went further, I noticed another out of place book, grabbing it. Cross one. These books are a lot heavier then I thought... I checked the shelf farthest to the left side of the library, not seeing any unusual books.

I looked towards the center of the library, still not seeing any sign of the assassin. There's another book down the way that monster seems to be frequently checking... I could definitely die while trying, and miss assassin doesn't seem to be helping us find any of the books. Looking around some more, I watched as the monster walked back towards the stairs. Now's my chance. I quickly began sneaking towards the area the monster frequently checked.

*Creak*

*Thud*

'You're not going to make it out of here.' Maki stated simply, a sharp piece of wood hovering above my neck as she held me against the floor. I looked towards the books I had dropped, realizing the monster had heard it and was approaching. 'So what? You plan on killing me for the petty reason of giving away your position as an assassin? Unless of c-course it's something else.' I stuttered feeling the sharp wooden blade being pressed against my neck. 'Y-Your only killing me because you're mad? Or what, do you t-think I'm the mastermind of the k-killing game? The brains behind this whole hotel?' I smiled feeling my own blood dribble down my neck as the blade was further pressed against it.

'Or maybe don't tell me your motive for killing me. Either way, it's not going to get you any farther in this h-hotel.' 'Or I kill you and everything goes back to normal. No killing game and no weird hotel shit. If that doesn't happen, at least we'll be less at risk of dying.' Maki spoke sternly. I watched the creature get closer, beginning to feel around for where the sound had come from. 'You r-really do think I p-plan to kill you all? W-Wow, you must really be scared of me-'

I felt a sudden pain in my arm, looking down to notice the wooden blade inside of it. I bit my tongue, resisting the urge to make any noise. The assassin suddenly pulled it out, blood beginning to pour onto the carpet. 'You're just an annoying waste of life. If I killed you right now, nobody would bat an eye. Why am I even stalling? Let's get this over with.' I watched as the assassin raised the blade above my neck. I let my eyes dart around, hoping to find a way to escape. As my eyes landed on the monster, I smiled.

"Yoohoo!" I yelled as loud as possible, getting the monsters attention. I suddenly watched as the assassin stood, running towards a closet to hide. No you fucking don't! I stood up as fast as possible, ignoring the books as I ran up to her just in time, pushing her out of the way of the closet. I watched as she fell to the ground, I sent her one last menacing smile before sliding into the closet, shutting it.

The monster roared loudly. My heart raced as I stayed quiet, listening as the monster walked around some more. Eventually, it seemed to get far enough away. I slowly made my way out of the closet, gagging at the sight.

There, the body of The Ultimate Assassin laid. Her whole head completely missing with blood pouring onto the carpet. Not wanting to waste any more time, I crouched, heading back over to where I had dropped the books. Now I've definitely killed someone, I just hope killing Maki doesn't put another target on my back. As long as Kaito doesn't know, everyone else will either forgive me or be too afraid to go after me. I hope so anyways.

Struggling to do so, I barely managed to pick up the books I had dropped. I tried to push down the guilt as I continued, watching the monster go back upstairs. I made my way towards the risky area, grabbing the book I had seen. Square one. Looking around, I noticed another near by book. I grabbed it quickly, checking it while making my way back to the desk. Diamond one.

I looked around, until my eyes landed on the last book that seemed to stand out. It's right in the middle of the room. I watched as the monster sprinted down the stairs, heading towards the door where we had entered once again. Fuck it. Barely managing to hold onto the books, I quickly snuck around the desk, heading straight towards the book.

I managed to grab it, sliding it under my injured arm. I turned around, watching the monster approach quickly. It's feeling the shelves! Fuck. I quickly layed on my side, pressing my body against the bottom of the shelf as the creature dragged its deformed hand on the shelf above me as it headed towards the stairs.

Quickly, I managed to get back on my feet. Not bothering to check the book as I made my way around the corner of the bottom of the stairs. I might have to go back down here because there's no way I can carry any more of these books right now. I tried to push down the thought, wishing I wouldn't have to.

I hope we don't have to encounter that stupid monster, that figure, ever again. This is taking way too long, and if we have to do this every fifty doors up until door one-thousand then we're fucked. I watched the creature sprint back down the stairs, towards the office. Nearly having to run, I snuck as fast as possible back up the stairs.

After doing so, I made eye contact with Miu, Shuichi, and now Kirumi who had joined them. 'Why did you-...' Miu stopped herself, noticing my arm. Carefully, I slid the books out from under my arms, placing and opening them on the floor. I looked at the book I wasn't able to see before on the ground. Triangle seven. I watched the detective hold out the paper, reading it out loud.

'The code is one, one, zero, three, seven.' I nodded, heading over to the padlock, pausing before getting too close. 'It's going to make noise when opening, Kirumi, could you go get Kaito and Angie since you probably know where they are?' I asked, the maid nodding in response. I watched as the monster began tearing apart the library downstairs.

'Fuckin' hell. We need to get out of here!' Miu whisper yelled, beginning to panic. My vision began to blur as I barely managed to steady myself. I watched as Angie and Kaito, who Kirumi made face away from down the stairs, approach us. 'W-Where's Maki-roll?'

'She... Got killed by the monster...' I spoke truthfully, watching tears pour down the astronauts face. 'How... How did it happen?' Not really seeming to care who he was talking to, I begun telling a convincing lie. 'I fell, she tried throwing a book to distract the monster from the noise, but when pulling her arm back to throw she hit the bookshelf, and it went after her. She couldn't get to a closet in time.'

Even if he begins to blame me for her death, he wouldn't go out of his way to kill me because of an accident. I put on a sad face, soon turning around to put the code into the padlock.

One, One, Zero, Three, Seven...

*Click*

I pulled the padlock off the door handles, the monster seeming to have heard the noise. 'Hurry!' I whisper-yelled, heading through the door.

[0051]

As soon as everyone made their way inside, we all pushed the doors shut. I listened as the monster let out one last distorted yell before going quiet.

"Can we... Y'know, take a breather before continuing?" Miu suggested, sitting down against the wall. "Do any of you hear that?" Kirumi spoke up, seeming to head towards the next door, pressing her ear against it. "Hear what?" I muttered, tiredly walking towards her.

Oh. There's music. "It sounds... Friendly..." Shuichi observed, seeming to question his own wording. "M-Maybe we should just go through there to see what it is?" Kaito suggested, tears still rolling down his face. "Just one door..." Miu complained, walking towards it. Slowly but cautiously, Kirumi opened it.

[0052]

"Look, Bob! Visitors!"

Is that... Two monsters, and a skeleton? Not sure what I was seeing or if I was just hallucinating, I approached the strange red creature. "W-What kinda freaky shit are you!?" Miu yelled, pointing at it. "Hola! They call me El Goblino. What brings you here?"

"Uh... I don't think any of us are too sure how we got here. We just kind of... Woke up here I guess. The last thing I remember is going to bed..." Going to bed? So Shuichi didn't see that glitchy monster that I saw?... Strange... "Erm, I think you'd be better off continuing then, hombre."

"Why?" I questioned the goblin, bringing my injured arm close to my chest. "There's no use goin' back. The elevator is a one-way ticket, only way you can keep going is forwards. Before that though, I'd get that arm of yours fixed up. Ya look like mierda." I must really look like shit, especially if an ugly goblin thing tells me I do.

"Oye, go check out Jeff's shop, he might have something you can buy." The goblin pointed towards the shop, where the monster, supposedly named Jeff, waved. I walked over, glad I had spent my time collecting coins. A flashlight, a lighter... Why is there a cross and a skeleton key? "Got anything for injuries?" Looking sad, Jeff shook his head. "Jeff had some bandages a few days ago though, but some really weird scissors wielding girl came through here and threatened us then bought them all. She gave me the creeps, hombre." The goblin explained.

"Have you seen anyone else strange?" I asked, facing the goblin. "Nah, not particularly strange. A lot of gente have been coming through here recently, though." I wonder if Rantaro, Ryoma, Tsumugi or Kiiboy have come through here... Though he probably would've told us if a robot came through. So maybe he'll pass through here eventually.

I turned back to Jeff, pulling out some coins from my pocket. I looked at the small signs in front of each item, listing the prices. The lighter is fifty gold, and the flashlight is one-hundred!?... I guess since not many people come by here, they need to make a living somehow... Wait, what am I thinking? They're monsters in a weird hotel! Why would they need to make a living?

"If I was going to buy something, düd, I'd get that skeleton key. If you keep moving forward, you'll eventually reach an infirmary that's not too far from here. You can use that key to get into a room with a herb that'll really help with your arm." El Goblino spoke. "T-Thanks..." I stuttered, feeling another wave of dizziness wash over me. I tried to shake it off, but to no avail.

Before making a fool of myself, I emptied my pockets of gold coins. I only have forty nine and I need two hundred and fifty for the skeleton key?! I can't even buy the lighter... I double checked my pockets for any more coins, eventually feeling the gem from earlier. I pulled it out, holding it up in front of me. "How much is this worth?" Not speaking, Jeff's eyes seemed to widen as he inspected the gemstone.

Still quiet, Jeff pointed towards the skeleton key. "Can I have it if I let you keep the gem?" Jeff, nodded with it being barely noticeable. He grabbed the key, placing it in my hands. I looked at the lighter, realizing I was only one gold short. "Here." I watched Shuichi place another gold coin onto the pile. "Could we get the lighter too, please?"  Seeing the creature happily nod, it placed the lighter in the detective hands. Shuichi thanked Jeff, heading back over to the others. I followed closely behind, placing the key in my pocket.

"Me and Bob haven't seen anyone as nice as you two come across here for a while. Jeff really appreciates your kindness." El Goblino explained, beginning to swing its legs. "Bob?" Miu questioned. "Bob needs to eat something, man. Recently he's been looking like a bag of bones. Real quiet, too... I'm worried about him." I don't think it realizes Bob is dead...

"W-We'll get him something if we ever come across it. After all, we're getting pretty hungry as well." Shuichi explained. "We should start heading towards that infirmary soon..." Kirumi reminded. "I'd just watch out then, things get real scary after this." "What do you mean?" I questioned the goblin.

"All the monsters for the next few dozen doors are really feisty. Whatever thing that likes to push people out of closets only lets you hide inside them for no more than three seconds after this room." Three seconds? Shit, this is going to become way harder than I thought. I felt myself having to place a hand on the makeshift table to stop myself from falling.

"We should get going before Kokichi gets any worse." Kirumi mentioned, I removed my hand from the table, smiling. "Nishishi~ Don't worry! I'm a-okay!" I obviously lied, slowly making my way to the next door. "Atua believes that moving forwards is our best option!" I watched Angie move past me, placing her hand on the handle. "Alright, l-let's keep going..." Kaito spoke nervously, dragging his feet on the ground before stopping behind Angie. Miu, Shuichi, and Kirumi followed behind.

"Adios! See you all later." The goblin waved. I watched Angie, Shuichi, and Kirumi wave back. "Is everybody ready?" Angie questioned, I looked towards everyone else watching them nod. Eventually I did as well, watching her turn the handle and opening the door to the next room.

[0053]

I stepped into the room, hearing the music fading as I did so. Glad the room was pretty empty I made my way to the next door, already falling behind. Kirumi slowed down until she was beside me. 'I saw what you did to Maki.' The maid whispered in my ear. 'I saw how you did it, and I know you did it mostly in self defense, but *why* did you do it?'

'It was me or her, that's all there is to it.' I stated plainly, the maid not seeming to like that answer decided not to push it anyways and continued forwards. I followed behind until I stood by the next door. I watched as Shuichi grabbed the handle, making sure everyone was there before turning it.

[0054]

As I walked into the next room, I noticed it was similar to the last one. The main differences being the color of the walls and carpet. I stopped, feeling my head start to spin horribly. I quickly found the wall, leaning against it to stop myself from falling. If anything, the blood loss must be getting to me... I looked down, seeing blood still dripping from my arm.

"That goblin thingy said the infirmary wasn't too far from here, right?" Miu questioned. "Y-Yeah, it shouldn't be too much farther." Shuichi spoke. 'Come on, just a few more doors...' I whispered to myself, pushing away from the wall. I walked over to the next door, watching Kirumi place her hand on the handle. I really hope it isn't much farther, I don't know how far I'll be able to make it like this. "Is... Everybody ready to go into the next room?" I nodded, preparing to face Rush, Eyes, or anything else. I watched as Kirumi turned the handle, opening the door to the next room.

[0055]

Seriously? All that worrying for nothing... I stepped into the infirmary, beginning to believe my paranoia was worse then I thought. After looking around for a minute, I grinned seeing the door with the skeleton lock on it, which was definitely where the key was supposed to go. Placing the key in the lock, I turned it.

I jumped watching the door vanish into dust. Quickly, I noticed the plant sitting on the table inside. As I got close, I stood still. Am I just supposed to eat it? Or... I guess I should eat it, there isn't really anything else I could have it with. After picking a few leaves off of the plant, I hesitantly ate them, disliking the bitter taste it left in my mouth.

I waited a minute, still feeling the same as before. I began searching through the drawers, hoping it would kick in while doing it. I took all the coins it had to offer, placing them in my pockets. Maybe the herb isn't instant like the pills... I turned around, heading back into the infirmary.

"Do you feel any better?" Kirumi asked. "Nope! Still bleeding to death. I'm pretty sure the herbs take time to work." I explained, sitting down on a bed. "What if that goblin thing lied to ya?" I shook my head at Miu's question. "I would've known." I spoke, watching Kaito take a seat on another bed. "We should stay here for a while, it looks safe." Kirumi advised. "What if Rush or something else comes?"

"Rush seems to approach relatively quickly after a new door has opened. I wouldn't worry too much about that. If we do need to hide, there are plenty of beds here for us to hide under." Kirumi answered Shuichi. The detective, seeming to let his guard down, let out a sigh. "Six people... We've lost six people since we've got here." Shuichi spoke sadly.

"Tenko, Korekiyo, Gonta... Kaede... Himiko... Maki..." I watched the detectives eyes meet mine as he said the assassins name. He doesn't seem mad at me, but he doesn't seem happy that I did it either. Probably because Maki technically caused Kaede to get killed. Tears began falling down Shuichi's face.

I let out a quiet yawn, the sleepless nights from the killing game seeming to catch up to me. "You should all get some sleep. I do not mind staying awake to keep watch over you in case something comes." Kirumi offered. "Hm? And how do we know you won't kill us like you did to Ryoma?" I questioned Kirumi, who seemed a little upset at being reminded of it.

"I have no reason to. I can assure you, I will not. Our end goal is to escape this place, correct? I want that just as much, possibly even more then the rest of you." I recalled what Kirumi said before her execution. I don't want to trust her, but I might have to right now. I don't think lacking energy in this hotel is a good idea.

"Fine! But if you kill any of us in our sleep, I'll make sure to haunt you!" I yelled childishly, crossing my arms before hesitantly laying down. This is... Way more comfortable then I thought... Before I knew it, despite being in a literal haunted hotel while bleeding out, everything went dark.

"Hmm?... Oh, morning Kirumi." I listened as Miu greeted the maid. "By looking at the clocks, it unfortunately still has not passed 1am... However, I can assure you that you all got at least a few hours of rest." Kirumi explained. "How's the shota?" Miu asked. "Oh, you mean Kokichi? His wounds have been healing, however he did fall asleep concerningly fast..."

"Has anything else happened to him? Or?..." I felt a bit surprised hearing Miu seeming to be genuinely concerned about me. "Not anything bad, necessarily. Before Shuichi went to bed, he decided to watch over Kokichi with me a little bit before doing so, just in case. While we were chatting, Shuichi pointed out to me that Kokichi was tearing up in his sleep. Even though it wasn't necessarily crying, and could've just been from exhaustion. Shuichi believes he either feels guilty or stressed, however, Kokichi would never admit it." Dammit, Kirumi's ratting me out! I should've just stayed awake.

"Guilty? I find that hard to believe." Miu scoffed. "After what he did to try to help Himiko before she... Died. I believe his intentions have always been good to some degree, despite his childish demeanor and his... Lies. We should give him a chance, even though he doesn't seem to give himself one. After all, have you forgotten? He's The Ultimate Supreme Leader." Kirumi spoke calmly. "Maybe... After you told me what he did in the library though, I'll have to think about it."

I basically killed Tenko and Korekiyo, definitely Maki. But they're trusting me? That's the one thing I didn't want them to do!... Shit, this place has definitely made me so paranoid I've become soft. Maybe I should try to get on their good sides... After all, if Monokuma somehow appears, I could easily make them all hate me again. Especially after what I did to Maki.

I continued to lay down. Maybe I should just wait a few more minutes, then it won't seem like I could've heard their conversation. "Hey Kirumi, do you think we'll make it out of here?" Miu questioned, sounding worried. "In the end, it will matter how many doors we will have to go through. If there are more than one thousand doors, then it will be nearly impossible. But as a maid, I will do anything I can to help you all reach that destination." "It's not impossible though, right?"

"At the current difficulty, it will be a struggle. However, if we do not encounter any new entities, I believe there is a chance." Kirumi answered Miu. I listened as a creak seemed to come from a near by bed. "W-Where... Oh, right." I listened to the detectives voice. "I am glad you're awake Shuichi, how did you sleep?" Kirumi questioned.

"It was okay... I still can't believe it... Tenko, Korekiyo, Gonta, Kaede, Himiko, and Maki... They all d-died so soon." I listen to the detective as he began crying once again. "I hate this place. But there's just something so... So...-" "Addicting?" Miu answered the sad detective. "Y-Yeah... I don't understand why, but I just have the need to keep going forwards. I want to keep opening every door I see, but I don't get it... Why? What's making me feel like I have to continue like this? I know we don't really have much of a choice anyways, though."

"I do believe the hotel could be doing something to us to want us to keep going, or, it could simply be that we're all desiring escape. Each door we open means we're getting one door closer to the exit." Kirumi spoke, answering the detective. "What's on going?... Oh, hey. G-Good morning sidekick."

"Good morning Kaito. How did you sleep?" "Not any better than in the killing game..." The astronaut spoke sadly before continuing. "When are we going to keep going?" "After Angie and Kokichi wake up, I'd assume." The Ultimate maid answered. I listened as footsteps approached me. I continued to lay still, pretending to sleep. "Oh, Kirumi, did you bandage Kokichi's arm?" Shuichi questioned. What? She bandaged my arm?

"Yes. There weren't really any bandages around here, so I had to make due with a pillow case from one of the beds nobody was using. I did the best job I could in wrapping the injury, however, it is still quite deep." "Wait, have those herbs been healing him? Are they magic too?" Miu asked.

"In this situation I wouldn't call it magic. Though, his wounds have definitely been healing faster than normal. They seem to be working quite well, actually." Kirumi explained. "We should just take the whole plant with us then. That way we'll have something to help us next time one of us gets hurt!" Miu replied, seeming fond of her idea.

"Then let's grab it before we leave." Shuichi agreed. I felt the mattress by my feet shift, assuming Shuichi had sat down. "Should I wake him up?" "Wake that virgin up! I'm getting hungry, and I'm sick of sitting around doing nothing, we need to keep going!" Miu yelled in response to the detective.

"I'll go wake up Angie then." Kirumi stated. After a minute of silence, I felt a gentle hand on my side, shaking me. "Hey, Kokichi. You need to get up so we can keep going." I opened one eye, looking towards the detective. "Hm? No. I'm comfy." I muttered in a childish voice, turning around to face the other side. I closed my eye again as I listened to heavy footsteps that approached from behind.

"Wakey wakey ya little lying abortion!" Miu yelled. It wasn't long before I felt a force push me out of bed.

*Thud*

"WWAAAAAAHHHHHH!! YOU PUSHED ME!??! YOU'RE SO MEAN!!!" I let fake tears roll down the sides of my face as I slowly stood up from off the ground. "Miu, w-why did you do that!? He's still hurt!" Shuichi yelled in a panicked tone. "That abortion will be fine! Look at him, he's just fake crying again." I stopped the tears from rolling down of the sides of my face as I smiled, looking towards the detective. "You got me!" I laughed, paying attention to my bandaged arm.

It's bandaged up pretty good, though there's some dry blood on it. I do feel better though... I began to look around, noticing my head wasn't fuzzy anymore. I watched Angie get out of bed, seeming happy. "Atua told me this night will be quite beautiful!" "I hope so..." Kaito answered, standing up and stretching.

It wasn't long before sadness seemed to catch up to almost everybody again. I began watching as gloomy looks appeared on peoples faces. "So!" I broke the silence before continuing. "What are we going to call that monster in the library?" "We never did find a name for it, did we?" Kirumi questioned.

"What if we called it Fleshlight? 'Cause y'know, it was like made of flesh and there was a light coming from it's m-mouth." Miu asked in a sexual tone. "We're not calling it that." Kirumi and Shuichi stated in sync, knowing why Miu wanted to call it that. "What about Creature? We don't really know what it's supposed to be, so I figured-" I cut off the astronaut. "Figure! We are calling it Figure." "Why?"

"Well Shumai, it's a figure. Even though we don't know what it is, we seem to have it all figured out." "That was horrible..." Miu muttered, crossing her arms. "I do not mind calling it Figure." Kirumi said, walking towards the back of the room. "I believe it is time we continue moving forwards. We've taken a lot of time to rest, and we need to get out of here soon." The maid announced, standing next to the door.

"Alright! No more resting! Let's go!" I childishly cheered, heading towards the door. "Wait, aren't we going to grab the herbs?" The detective asked, heading towards the room that contained the plant. After waiting a few minutes, the detective didn't leave.

Carefully, I walked towards the room with the herb. I headed inside, watching the detective struggle to pick up the plant pot. "I thought you had a bit more muscle then that, Shumai!" I laughed, knowing he definitely should've been able to pick that up. "Well then, you give it a try." Shuichi challenged, backing away from the plant.

I placing my hands on the bottom of the pot, trying to lift it but to no avail. "Do you think it's attached to the table?" "Maybe..." I replied to the detective, beginning to attempt to move the table. After trying and making no progress, I watched the detective try to pull the table as well.

"A-Are all the tables nailed into the ground or something?" Shuichi stuttered, seeming to give up. I let go of the table as well, realizing it was no use. "I would suggest we pick some off the leaves off, buuutt they'll die eventually." I reminded. Unless they don't die, but then again, it probably will since there's something good about it.

I watched as the detective picked a leaf off of the plant, taking a small bite. "This tastes horrible..." Shuichi muttered, placing the rest of the herb back on the table. I turned around hearing footsteps approach. "What's taking you two virgins so long? You two tryin' to fuck or something?" "You wish, horny slut." I muttered, turning back to the plant as Miu moaned.

"Maybe we should take a few and leave some behind, just in case. El Goblino said other people had come through here, right? Maybe if we do, then Ryoma, Rantaro, Tsumugi or Kiibo could find it." Shuichi guessed, beginning to pick a few leaves of the plants.

"Kiiboy wouldn't need it, y'know? 'Cause he's a robot after all." I hummed, watching the detective finish collecting the herbs. I followed the detective as he walked out of the room, to the next door. "The plant pot was stuck to the table, but I got some of the leaves." Shuichi announced, standing next to Kirumi who had her hand on the door handle. "Is everyone ready to leave then?"

Everyone seemed to look at one another as Kirumi spoke, knowing there might not be another room this safe for a while, we nodded. "Alright then, remember. Be ready for anything."

[0056]

"Oh, it's just a puzzle room like the one from earlier." Shuichi spoke, heading towards the door that led down stairs. "Kokichi, did anything attack you while you were down there? Because Maki had said-" "Nope! Maki just tried to trap me in the vent." I cut the detective off, hearing Kaito speak up. "Maki-roll would never do that!" "Too bad because she did! I was being oh-so-nice to her, going into the vent only to get trapped..." I muttered the last part, opening the door and heading down stairs.

Once at the bottom, I noticed the detective enter the room behind me, shutting the door. "Aww, don't tell me you're going to try to kill me too, Shumai." I made a sad face, watching the detective sigh. "I'm not going to kill you, and you know that. I wanted to ask you something in private though."

"Hmm? What would you like to ask me Mister Detective~" I listened to Shuichi as he explored the room while beginning to speak. "While we were still inside the killing game, you were almost always either bothering us or in your room. But I've noticed ever since we saw what happened to Tenko and Korekiyo, you've been less bothersome."

"And your point is?" I heard the detective let out a sigh before continuing. "Well, I actually woke up a little before anyone else knew this morning and overheard Kirumi and Miu talking. I'm not sure if it's true, but Kirumi believes you've always had good intentions, especially after what you did to try to save Himiko."

"What if I was lying?" "There's no way you were. You wouldn't bother doing it in the first place because it risked your life." I paused knowing the detective was mostly right. "And also... Kirumi told me what you did to Maki, but she said Maki tried to kill you first. What you did wasn't right, but I don't blame you." I tried to push down the guilt creeping up my spine. Why do I even feel bad for killing that stupid assassin? She tried to murder me for fucks sake! Not to mention she tried multiple times!

"I also remember what you told me after K-Kaede died... I was shocked that you were even trying to comfort me, and you know what? It took me too long to even realize that it was you because I didn't expect it. Maki, not even Kaito came to comfort me after Kaede died. Although, Maki was the one who caused her death, and Kaito pissed his pants so he was probably too scared to do anything." I heard the detective stifle a laugh before continuing.

"B-But my point is, I'm glad you're here, Kokichi. I'd probably still be back at door- Whatever door it was if it wasn't for you. So... Thank you." ...Not even a full day, I let my façade slip a little, and then he seems to suddenly know more then I would've hoped. Should I start lying again? Do I tell the truth? Do I need to lie?... Yes, yes I need to lie. But I don't have to do it all the time. Especially since Monokuma doesn't seem to be here anymore, which means no more killing game and no more risk for murder... Though I guess the risk for murder is still there, especially after what I did to Maki.

I glanced towards the detective. If I can trust anyone who's still here the most, it's definitely Shuichi. But how much should I trust him? I let the thought remain in my head as I noticed the lever behind the fenced wall, similar to the last one. I let myself frown seeing the vent again. Not replying to the detective, I spoke. "Stupid vent! Why do I always have to be the one to crawl through the vents?!" I complained, watching the detective approach.

"I-I can do it if you want-" "No, no, I got this!... You better not trap me and let me die, or I'll make sure to haunt you forever!" I insisted, removing the vent cover before crawling inside.

Quickly, I reached the lever, pulling it. I swiftly crawled back into the vent, soon exiting. Standing up again, I walked passed the detective, heading towards the door. "Kokichi, wait-" I flinched feeling the detective's hand on my shoulder. "Are... Are you okay?" I turned around, looking the detective in the eyes.

I smiled.

"Yep! I'm perfectly fine~" I lied, continuing to look at the detective. I paused, letting the detective read my facial features to try to find the truth. After a minute, he frowned. "If this were the killing game, I wouldn't have given your lie a second thought. I hate to believe that's what I would've done, even though I know it is. I can't even read your real emotions right now, and I don't know them, but I know what you said is a lie. With everything I've seen you do here so far, I know you have to be lying."

I stayed quiet, putting on a neutral expression. I watched in slight surprise as the detective began to cry. "T-To tell you the truth, I never expected Kaede to die again so early. W-When she died, I remembered how easy it was to die. T-That's what's been sticking with me the most through this whole thing. I don't want anyone else to die, but it's inevitable." The detective wiped away some tears before continuing.

"Before I die, I w-wanted to repay you for helping me. Because if you didn't, I'd probably be dead by now... I think words aren't really your way of showing emotion, but it's your actions that are." I watched the detective pause, seemingly in an attempt to read my expression again. I watched the detective smile, still slightly crying.

"I-I'm not very good at comforting people, but I-I hope this helps you too." Seeming hesitant, the detective approached me. I stayed still letting Shuichi hug me, continuing to cry. Knowing I'd feel even worse if I didn't, I slowly wrapped my arms around the detective. I pushed down the sadness, tightening my embrace around him.

"Thanks Shuichi..." I uttered. Knowing that our lives were at stake and that we couldn't stay like this forever, I felt the detective pull away, wiping away his tears. "Everyone is probably waiting for us, let's go-"

I quickly turned to the door hearing heavy footsteps. I watched the door suddenly fling open, revealing Miu. "Are you two fucking!? I coulda made it to door one thousand by the time you fuckers got outta here!-" "Who were *you* fucking? Were you going at it with Kirumi? Angie? Kaito?!" I yelled loud enough to ensure the three upstairs heard.

"O-Okay, I get it! Damned virgins!" Miu squeaked before quickly heading back upstairs with her head down. I watched as the detective began heading upstairs. I followed close behind. Soon enough, we made it upstairs and walked towards the next door. "Are you two ready to continue?" Kirumi asked, slight concern in her voice. "Yep! As ready as I'll ever be~" I watched Kirumi open the next door.

[0057]

"It's just a long hallway with some windows." Shuichi simply described, beginning to walk down the hallway. I followed shortly behind. "Can I get a reminder of every fucker we've encountered so far?" "If you're referring to the monsters, I can list them again for you if you'd like." Assuming Miu nodded in response to Kirumi, she began. "We first encountered Eyes. When you see it, you have to look away very quickly. Secondly was Rush, if the lights flicker you must hide. Speaking of hiding, there was also Hide. The one that pushed Kokichi out of the closet, however it didn't seem to do so in the library closets. Then there was also Dupe, it seems to attack when you try to go through the wrong door. There's also Screech, which appears in dark rooms. Then there was also Timothy-"

"Who the fuck is Timothy?" I shivered at the reminder. "It was a supposed spider that had apparently attacked Kokichi. That is what he said while he was frightened-" "I was not!" I turned around, facing the two. "I don't get scared." I stated. "Oh really?" Miu began. "I guess I'm scared of one thing... I mean, you are pretty ugly which can sometimes be scary..." I stated, frowning as Miu moaned. I ignored it as I listened to Kirumi continue.

"After Timothy, I believe we encountered Seek. Which chased us through quite a few rooms before we managed to completely escape. Then in the library there was Figure, and it seemed to be deaf... Then there were also the two... The three at Jeff's shop. Which included Jeff, El Goblino, and Bob."

That reminds me. There was also that glitchy thing I saw in the killing game... I wonder if it took me here, although nobody else, at least not Shu, seemed to see it. I followed behind the detective as he eventually paused in front of the next door. Everyone stood by as eventually he opened it. Glad it wasn't a dark room, I stepped inside.

[0058]

No puzzles, no monsters... No nothing. Happy the room didn't contain anything, I stood by the next door, placing my hand on the handle, waiting for everyone to approach. Eventually everyone did. "You guys ready?" I spoke, watching them all nod. Cautiously, I opened the door to the next room.

[0059]

"Where are all those fuckers at!? I haven't seen a single monster since that shop with the freaky goblin fuck!" Miu yelled, heading towards the doorframe in the room where a shelf seemed to have been tipped over in front of it, leaving a small gap. "I k-know this sounds kinda s-strange but... Not seeing any monsters is kinda... Worrying..." The astronaut admitted, continuing forwards.

"Then we should be even more prepared. Because there were eyes on the walls leading up to when Seek chased us, right? Maybe this means something else is on it's way." Shuichi guessed, heading towards the bookshelf, which seemed to be leaning on something, keeping it from falling on the ground. "Then we should keep our guard up, there could be dozens of other monsters we haven't encountered yet." Kirumi supposed, beginning to crawl under the bookshelf.

Once on the other side, she began helping Miu crawl underneath. Kaito, then Angie followed behind. Slowly, I found myself making my way under it as well. I stood up again afterwards, watching the detective do the same. "Didn't El Goblino say that the monsters would start to become more feisty?" Shuichi questioned as Kirumi nodded in response.

"Nyahahaha! As long as we believe in Atua, he will gives us the strength we need to prevail!" I doubt believing in Atua is going to help anyone at this point. I watched Angie place her hand on the door handle. "Is everybody ready to continue?" Angie asked, getting nods in response. Slowly, she opened the door to the next room.

[0060]

"T-This room gives me the creeps..." Kaito admitted, getting closer to Shuichi. I began taking the lead, heading towards the one light in the room.

*Clink*

"GO BACK! IT'S RUSH! THE LAST ROOM HAD ENOUGH CLOSETS FOR US!" Shuichi commanded, I turned around, hearing Rush come closer.

[0059]

I watched the detective try to enter a closet. "WAIT! WE NEED TO TIME THIS RIGHT!" I yelled, hearing the monster come closer as we all waited outside a closet. "W-What!?" Kaito yelped. "Three, two, one, now!" I slipped into the closet, hearing others do the same as Rush zoomed by, the room going dark.

Quickly, I got out of the closet before I could get pushed out. "Shumai, get your lighter out!" I ordered, watching a small light appear. "Is everyone okay?" Kirumi asked. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine..." Miu spoke, panting. "Me too-" "I believed in Atua who protected us all from that vile creature!" Angie cut off Kaito.

"Shut your virgin mouth! Cock itchy managed to pull us through that bullshit! Your dumb fuck of a god did nothing-" "Atua was the one who-" "Enough." Kirumi stated simply. "We are running out of lighter fuel. You two can argue after we get out of here. Let's go." Not wanting to start a fight, Miu and Angie followed Shuichi. I followed behind the two, heading back into the room we were previously in.

[0060]

"Shit... The next room is also dark." Shuichi said, turning off his lighter. "W-Why'd you do that?!" Kaito yelled. "We need to save the rest of the fuel for a more dangerous room. If Screech is the only one here we know we'll have to face, we'll probably be fine." "Might I suggest we hold hands again like earlier?" Kirumi questioned, Kaito beginning to speak. "You guys did what?"

"Oh right, you weren't with us when we did that." The detective recalled before continuing. "For now we'll just walk forwards. When we went straight last time we didn't encounter Dupe. Though, that was until we turned." I found myself in search for Kirumi or Shuichi's hand, knowing they wouldn't let go. As I suddenly found a hand entangle with mine, I began to realize how wet it was.

Oh no...

"Pssst."

I looked in the direction of the sound, watching Screech disappear into the darkness. I tried to feel around for another hand, unable to find one. "Is everyone holding someone's hand?-" "H-Hey sidekick, is this your hand?" "Yes, it's mine, why?" "Then who's holding my other hand?" "Got a problem with that?" I listened to Miu's voice which was right beside me, confirming my suspicions.

"W-Why is your hand so... Wet?" "I-I'm just nervous! G-Get your head outta the gutter!" "I'm n-not- It's just-" "Atua will keep us safe!-" Miu paused hearing Angie's voice. "If you're on that side of the room..." I devilishly smiled through the darkness, knowing nobody could see it. "Angie! Who's hand are you holding?!" "Kirumi's! Her hands are very soft and-" "Pooichi?" "I'm holding Kirumi and Kaito's hands, why?"

"This better not-"

I walked forwards, pulling on Miu's arm.

*Bonk* *Bonk* *Bonk* *Bonk* *Bonk* *Bonk*

"Nishishi~ Sorry, I couldn't help myself!" "You little-" "I have seen Screech four times now! C-Come on! Let's get out of here!" I put my childish attitude aside, listening to the detective. Slowly, we made our way forward, into the next room.

[0061]

Carefully, we walked forwards. I held one hand out in front of me as I moved, careful not to crash into anything. Eventually, I felt a metal fence in front of me. "Shit... I think this is a puzzle room." I admitted, letting my free hand fall to my side. "W-What are we supposed to do?!" Kaito stuttered, sounding scared. "We be careful, and whatever you do, don't let go of-"

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!" Kaito's yells echoed throughout the room, I turned around feeling Miu getting dragged. I held onto Miu's hand, following. "Kaito! Wait!" I listened to the detective behind me, realizing what Kaito had done. "Calm down you-" I stopped talking, feeling the ground beneath me disappear.

"Pssst."

I looked towards the noise, watching Screech disappear. "Are you guys okay?!" Shuichi called, worry clear in his voice. "Ugh... Y-Yeah, I'm alive..." Miu answered. "I'm alive!" I called, feeling slightly dazed but not much more. Realizing I was still holding Miu's hand, I stood, feeling her struggle do the same. "Kaito?" Miu questioned, seeming to feel around.

"Hmm?... I'm... I'm okay..." The astronaut muttered. I listened as he moved, presumably standing. "Damn idiot! I-I think twisted my ankle because of you!" Miu shouted at Kaito. Great. That idiot had to make this ten times harder for us then it already was, though Shumai did get those herbs...

I slightly leaned down, feeling the stairs Kaito made us fall down. From what I remember, there's usually another door at the top of the stairs. Maybe this is just a slightly different room where we have to find the lever. I hope that's it. Quickly, I felt around for the door at the bottom of the stairs. I opened it.

"While we're down here, we need to find the lever-" "W-What!? I'm not going even further in the dark!" Kaito cut me off, I sighed before continuing. "Miu, I'll go find the lever. You can stay here and watch the idiot." "Fuck no! I'm not staying here with him. He's going to get me killed!-" "And I'm n-not gonna stay here a-all by myself!"

"Then, let's go." "W-Wait-" I successfully made it through the door way, ignoring Kaito's pleads to go back. I dragged my free hand along the wall, walking slowly. If I keep my hand on the wall, I'll eventually circle through the room completely, and the lever should be around this height. If it's not, then that's going to be a problem.

"C-Can't we just go back?!" Kaito stuttered fearfully. "If we stop now, we'll never find the lever and we'll starve and rot in here!" Miu argued, beginning to use me as support to keep herself from falling.

"Pssst."

I looked towards the direction of the sound, seeing Screech disappear into the darkness once again. We turned a corner, continuing to walk. Time began passing slowly as the room never seemed to end. "Have you found it yet?" Miu asked. "No. It might be through a vent though, so if we find one of those-"

"I'm not c-crawling through a vent!" Kaito yelped. "Get your fuckin' shit together then 'cause we might have to!" Miu yelled, still angry at Kaito.

"Pssst."

I looked towards the sound again, watching Screech vanish. As I continued to feel around, it wasn't much longer before I found a vent. "I found a vent-" "I-I'm not going through it- AAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Kaito's heavy footsteps seemed to vanish as he ran further away.

"What a fuckin' baby. If he keeps this up, he's gonna get killed." Miu stated. "Yeah, your definitely right about that..." I agreed, beginning to crouch down to remove the vent cover. "So! Why aren't you scared?" I asked Miu, leaning the vent cover against a wall. "W-What do you mean?" "Back in the killing game, you did seem to get scared pretty easily~ After all, you nearly got completely naked in fear of Gonta catching you!" I reminded her, laughing.

"W-Well, it was Gonta! Anyone would be scared of that fucker if he came at you! But he didn't come after you because you were the one who told him that bullshit lie!" "Sure~" I teased before changing the subject. "I'm gonna go through the vent, you want to wait here or?" "I'll go with you. I shouldn't have too much trouble crawling."

I let go of my grip on the inventors hand as I began to crawl through the dark vent, listening to the inventor follow behind me. "Wow, you're actually following me blindly through a dark vent! Where I could easily stab and kill you~" "You wouldn't fuckin' try! You have no reason to go after me!"

"Or do I?... Buuutt, I guess I won't. Not yet anyways, especially since you worried so much about me! Nishishi~" "W-What?" "You and Kirumom talk pretty loud y'know! Especially in a room where everyone's sleeping!" "Eeeek! Y-You heard?!" "Maybe~ Maybe not." Feeling the vent cover in front of me, I slowed down, barely managing to sit in the small space. I felt the inventor find my back, stopping as well.

"Why'd you stop?" I tried pushing on the vent, but it didn't budge. "The vent cover is stuck. Back up a little, I'm going to try to kick it open." The inventor did as told. I partially turned inside the vent, kicking the cover off easier then I had thought. I stepped out of the vent, standing and quickly finding the wall. I listened Miu follow behind me, eventually finding my hand as well.

"Pssst."

I looked towards the noise, watching the monster disappear once again. We began walking again. I continued to drag my hand along the wall, dirt getting stuck underneath my nails from doing so.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" I listened to Kaito's scream as it echoed throughout the darkness. Eventually, I smiled feeling the lever. Pulling it down, I listened to it click. "Was that the lever?" "Yep! Now, let's get out of here before Kaito pisses himself again~ Nishishi~" Feeling around some more, I eventually found an opened door. One that we hadn't gone through before.

I stood still hearing footsteps approach. "Hey! Who's there?!" Miu called, leaning on me even more then before. She better not lean on me anymore, because either of us could easily fall if she does- "It's just me. I went looking for you now that Kirumi found Kaito. Is Kokichi with you?" Shuichi questioned.

"Yep~ Right here!" "Are you both okay?" "That fuckin' idiot might've made me twist my ankle!" Miu yelled, trying to make sure Kaito heard it. "I got some herbs I can give you, but before I do, let's get you upstairs." Shuichi made his way to the other side of Miu, and we began helping her forwards, up the stairs. Eventually, we reached the top.

"Where's all the fuckin' light at? Don't tell me the next room is dark too!" "About that... The gate opened, but I felt around and there's also a lock on the door." "Shit, so we need a key too?!" "Yeah, it looks like it. Kokichi, you're okay, right?"

"Yep! I can go back downstairs if you want to me find it!" I offered, listening out for Screech. "A-Are you sure you want to-" "I'll be quick! Just wait here! I'll find it in no time!" I cut off the detective, turning around and finding the wall. I followed it back downstairs.

"Pssst."

I looked at Screech, again watching it disappear. I fucking hate that thing... It's not that as bad as it was when I first saw it, and it seems less persistent. I thought El Goblino said that they were going to be more feisty?... Maybe I'm just getting lucky. I stopped, noticing a bright blue light.

That's either really good, or really bad. Hesitantly, I followed it, eventually noticing they led to a closed drawer. I placed my hand on the drawer, slowly pulling it open. Oh, the key. I smiled picking it up, glad I wouldn't have to stay in the room much longer.

I began heading back upstairs, holding the key. "I found it." I announced, noticing the blue light coming from the door as well. The others seemed to notice it too. "Atua is guiding us down the right path!" "No fuckin' way it's Atua!" Miu argued as Shuichi helped Miu to the door. I walked over to it, waiting until everyone was near by. "Alright, let's keep going!" I spoke, putting the key in the lock, twisting it open.

[0062]

"I t-thought there was going to be another dark room..." Kaito stuttered, leaning against a wall. I walked over to the detective, watching him help Miu down. "Here, let me get you those herbs..." Shuichi placed his hand in his pocket, pulling something out. "Shit..." He swore, noticing the dead plants in his hands.

"It hasn't even been that long since we left, and they're already dead..." "Maybe they have magical properties that won't allow you to take them out of that room!" I half-joked, watching the detective simply drop the dead plant on the ground. I glanced towards the fireplace in the room, beginning to feel a dryness in my mouth. Before we even wound up dead from hunger, we'll die from dehydration.

At this rate, there's no way we're going to make it to door one thousand. Why are we even aiming for that when there could definitely be more then one thousand rooms? Taking the door plaques into account, then there could be nine thousand, nine hundred, and ninety nine rooms. I guess I'm just going to have to try to keep everyone alive as long as possible.

I let a small smile find it's way to my face remembering what Shuichi did, and Miu's concerns. I'll never fully understand why they care. Maybe a little, but not entirely. They still seemed to forgive me despite my lies in the killing game... I'll be pissed if we end up back there if we survive this. I don't want to have to betray them, but it's possible.

Not wanting to feel too happy, the thought of returning to the killing game began to flood my head, the smile disappearing from my face. I need to stay focused, and to make sure as many people stay alive as possible. But I can't ignore the fact that I might have to hurt their feelings horribly. It might be the only thing I can do to help everyone escape the killing game if we get back-

"Kokichi, do you mind helping me with something?" I turned to the detective, curious. "What is it that you need, detective~" "Do you think you could help me do something about Miu's ankle? I'm not really sure what to do, and I wanted to see if you knew anything." "I know a thing or two~" I turned to Miu, who seemed a bit worried at my tone of voice.

"Shumai, help Miu take her stinky boot off! I need a moment to prepare~" Even if Miu's foot isn't bad enough for it to need a splint, it should at least be stabilized enough to reduce further pain. It will also depend on where the injury is precisely located, either way she's going to need to be able to put some weight on it, or she's going to die here.

I glanced towards the make-shift bandage on my arm, beginning to take it off. I could use this to try to keep down the swelling, assuming Miu's foot isn't bleeding or cut then this should be fine, considering this bandage is dirty. After fully removing the bandage, I glanced towards my arm which no longer seemed to bleed. It's healed up quite a bit, but it could still get infected if I'm not careful.

I walked over to the inventor, paying attention to her foot which seemed relatively unscathed aside from a bit of bruising and swelling. "Even if it hurts, I need to know if you can stand on your own." I stated, seeing the inventor slightly tense. "I-I'll try..." I watched Miu lean against the wall to stable herself. Once standing, she moved away from the wall, clearly in pain.

I watched as she put more weight on her foot uncomfortably. "I think I can walk, but I don't think I can run." Miu tried to take a few steps forward, limping but managing to stay standing. "Miu should always get the nearest closet for now, until she recovers which could be a while." Kirumi suggested. I hope we're not here that long.

"Sit down for a minute." I ordered, watching Miu did as told. I approached her, making sure her foot was free of cuts before beginning to tightly wrap her ankle with the make-shift bandage. "This should be good enough for now, just be careful Cum Dumpster!" "You fuckin' abortion..." "Nishishi~"

I backed away from Miu, watching her stand again. "Maybe you should take your other boot off as well, since it has heels." Kirumi suggested, Miu nodding and doing as told. "Perhaps I should do the same..." Kirumi spoke aloud, removing her footwear as well. "Atua believes Kaito should do the same! I am not even sure how he's managed to run in those shoes in the first place..."

Not thinking a second thought, I watched the astronaut remove his shoes quickly. "So do we just, leave our shoes here?" Miu questioned, not really wanting to let them go. "It would not be worth risking our lives carrying them around." Kirumi stated, placing her shoes in the corner of the room. I watched as Angie began taking her shoes off as well. "Why are you taking off your shoes? They seem fine to me."

"They are quite uncomfortable and not ideal for running, Atua suggests you and Kokichi remove your shoes as well!" Angie answered Shuichi. My shoes definitely aren't the most comfortable to run in, but we may need them to protect our feet, especially if we come across Seek again and we have to run through fire or something else... I watched Shuichi take off his shoes as well, not seeming to think about what it could result in.

"Shu, put your shoes back on." "Why?" "Do it." I changed my tone to sound more stern, the detective seemed to listen to me, putting his shoes back on. "Why did you make Shuichi put his shoes back on, Kokichi?" Kirumi asked. "What if we have to run from Seek again? Last time there was fire and a bunch of shit on the ground. I even saw a bit of glass, and I don't think it'd be fun to watch anyone step on that. We don't want what happened to Himiko to happen to someone else in a similar fashion. I suggest Angie and Kaito keep their shoes on too, since they don't seem that bad to run in. For Cum Dumpster and you, maybe you could tear off a piece of your clothes to wrap around your feet for extra protection. I doubt socks are enough." I answered, noticing Kaito giving me an odd look.

"What?" "Sorry, I've just n-never seen you talk like that before..." Kaito spoke, an apologetic look on his face. Is Kaito actually listening to me? That's a first... Still a bit surprised, I watched Kirumi tear a bit of her dress off to wrap around her feet for extra protection. "We need to keep going..." Shuichi reminded, heading towards the next door. I followed closely behind, noticing the detective looking at my arm.

Eventually, everyone else gathered around the door, Angie and Kaito deciding to put their shoes back on. Kirumi standing by Miu, ready to help her if she needs it. "Is everyone ready? Miu? Are you ready to continue?" "I'm as ready as I'll ever be..." Miu answered, seeming unsure of herself. Slowly, the detective opened the next door. Revealing the next room.

[0063]

I stepped inside, paying close attention to the lights as we slowly headed through the normal room. There's no puzzles here, and it's light. I hope the same goes for the next room as well. I took the lead, walking in front of everyone as I placed my hand on the door handle, ready to open the next door. I glanced around seeing everyone nod. I turned the handle, opening the door.

[0064]

"Another similar room..." Kaito noted, seeming to be trying to push his fears down. I took note of the table with a single drawer and walked over to it, opening it. Not seeing anything of interest I headed towards the next door. Something's going to attack us soon... I looked backwards, taking note of Miu's condition. She's struggling, but as long as she doesn't have to run for a while she should be okay.

I turned around, heading towards the next room. I can't believe I'm getting worried about Cum Dumpster, Shumai, Kirumom, Angie... Even Kaito. Dammit. Knowing how dangerous it was to worry about someone, I tried to push down the worry to no avail. It's not even been a day and I can't even go five minutes now without checking to see if they're okay. Guilt also began to fill my mind as I placed my hand on the next handle, waiting for everyone to approach.

Soon enough, everyone had gathered around, seeming to wait. Slowly, I turned the door handle, opening it. After doing so, I stepped into the next room.

[0065]

This one's full of closets... There's twelve... We started out with twelve of us, but now there's only six left and we barely made it to door fifty... Door? I've been calling them doors instead of rooms now, haven't I?... I guess the contents of the rooms don't really matter to me anymore... Except the closets, of course. I placed my hand on the door handle, making sure everyone gathered around me. "Ready?" I questioned simply, seeing everyone nod. Slowly, I turned the handle, swinging the door open-

*Clink*

"It's Rush, wait by a closet!" I ordered, watching Miu take the closest one. I headed to a farther closet, hearing the monster approach. It's faster... "Now!" I slipped into the closets, watching the others do the same. Quickly, the lights shattered, making the room fall into darkness. I quickly got out, finding my way to the door. "Is everyone okay?" Kirumi questioned, seeming a bit shocked.

"I'm okay." Shuichi stated, slightly exhausted. "I-I'm okay." Kaito stuttered. "Atua saved me from Rush by showing me to the right closet!" "I'm alright too!" Miu answered. "Aww, sorry... I don't think I made it..." I obviously lied, most likely getting someone to roll their eyes. "We need to head up some stairs, Miu, allow me to help you." Kirumi offered. "T-That'd be appreciated." Miu spoke in the dark, Kirumi most likely finding her by following her voice.

"Let's go upstairs then-" "Where a-are you sidekick?!" Kaito cut off Shuichi, scared. "Over here." I hesitantly began heading into the next room myself, not wanting to stick around to see Screech.

[0066]

I followed the wall, climbing up the stairs. I carefully listened to everyone slowly following behind me. At the top, I noticed the next door opened, light shining through it. I headed towards it, noticing the number on the door panel missing. This is supposed to be sixty seven, right? I remember the one we entered into the closet room was sixty five, and this is sixty six, so the next should be sixty seven.

[0067]

I noticed the two doors with separate panels in the room, clearly noting the obvious wrong one. Turning around, I waited for everyone else to enter. Shu and Kaito... Angie... Kirumom and Miu. Great, they all made it. I headed towards door sixty eight. "Wait! Kokichi!" Kaito yelled, I listened to his footsteps as he approached. "Watch out! There's two doors." Really? He warned me?...

"We're heading towards room sixty eight. We just went through sixty seven." I stated. "How could you know? The number was gone!" "Simple. I've been counting." Not looking sure of my answer, Kaito walked back towards the middle of the room. "What if your lying?" "Good point. I guess go through sixty seven if you're so sure of yourself~" I teased, knowing Kaito most likely wouldn't do it. "Y-You go through sixty eight first!"

"Okay." I headed towards the next door, leaning on it to further prove my point. "You guys ready to continue?" Not seeming like they believed me either, I smiled. "Wow~ Still having trust issues? I don't blame you!-" "N-No, it's not that." Shuichi answered. "Then what is it?" "We were t-talking while you were ahead... And we've decided something."

"What have you decided?~" I teased, curious as to what they were going to say. I watched as the detective approached, holding out his lighter. "Take this. We've decided that until we get out of here... We'll follow your lead." What? The detective continued, still holding out his lighter. "L-Look, we've sort of been doing that already... But I wanted to make sure others thought it was a good decision as well. We've all agreed to follow your lead until we leave this place. After all, you're The Ultimate Supreme Leader, right?"

I watched a gentle smile find it's way onto the detectives face. One day and everyone suddenly trusts me? Shit. This is... Unexpected. It's a bad and a good thing... Right? As long as I'm here, everyone will follow my lead. Do they all trust me? Even Kaito? I looked towards the astronaut, clearly reluctant in following me. He's probably only doing it because Shuichi is... But it's also bad, if I give them the wrong orders- No. It won't happen. I'm Kokichi Ouma, right?...

I'm The Ultimate Supreme Leader... Right?

Questioning my own name and title, I slowly took the lighter from the detective. I put a fake smile on my face, somehow feeling even more guilty. "Oh. My. God! You really trust me?~ I'm honored! Nishishi~" "Don't make me regret trusting you, you little..." Kaito uttered. I placed the lighter in my pocket, facing the door. Why do I feel so guilty about this? I don't even feel very overwhelmed by the situation. It's just... Ugh...

I placed my hand on the door handle, clearing my head. "Is everyone ready?" I questioned in a happier tone, watching everyone nod. I placed my hand on the door handle, turning it. I'll lead them out of here... Even if someone else dies, no matter who it is, I'll keep moving forwards... I hope.

[0068]

*Clink*

"Rush! Go hide!" I watched everyone find a closet, no others available. I stopped myself from running to the next room, listening. It's quiet... I stood still, not hearing any noise. From what I've learned so far, it could only mean one other thing... I headed towards the next door, double checking that everyone stood by their closets as I opened it.

[0069]

"It was a false alarm. Come here." I told the others as I stood inside the next room, watching the lights flicker again. "There's eyes... The ones before Seek comes..." I told, walking further into the long hallway. I glanced towards the eyes that stared at me, also looking towards the others following behind me. I paused, facing Miu.

"Do you think you can run again?" I asked, watching the inventor try to sprint a little, stopping quickly. "Y-Yeah but it hurts like a bitch..." "You're going to have to get through this. We need to find food and water. We don't know how much longer it will be until we find some." I stated, watching Miu nod, understanding the severity of the situation. I slowly walked to the end of the long hallway, noticing Seek hadn't appeared yet. Maybe we have to go a few more rooms ahead, I remember seeing more eyes before Seek actually appeared.

I placed my hand on the door handle, waiting for the others to gather around before slowly opening it.

[0070]

*Clink*

More eyes appeared on the walls. I glanced towards the broken pillar in the room, walking past. Something large had to have broken that... Was it Seek or Figure? Maybe even Rush? I placed my hand on the door handle, waiting for the others to gather around before entering the next room.

[0071]

It's a dark room... But we don't need the lighter yet, the lightning outside is lighting this place up well enough. We just have to walk forwards. Making sure everyone was behind me, I began walking towards the next door quickly, not wanting to encounter Screech. I placed my hand on the handle quickly, opening the next door.

[0072]

*Clink*

I watched the lights flicker, more eyes appearing on the walls. A padlock was visible on the door ahead. Watching everyone step out of the room behind me, I began searching for a key.

"Pssst."

I swiftly turned towards Screech, watching it seemingly disappear. I walked over to the only other door in the room, opening it. I quickly noticed the large windows, the bed, and the fireplace. "Let me know if anyone finds the key." I ordered, heading towards a table with a drawer. I opened it, quickly regretting doing so.

"F-Fuck you!" I cursed at the spider after it had bit me. I watched as it got away. "The fuck is wrong with you Cock Itchy?" "It was Timothy!" I bit my nail angrily, shutting the drawer. I stared back at the others who seemed to be, again, questioning my sanity. "I found it!" Angie stated, holding up the key. I placed a hand on my forehead, feeling to see if I was getting sick. Is Timothy real? Or have I just been hallucinating it this whole time?...

Not feeling any warmth, I noticed the detective seem to find something of interest. "What is it Shumai?" "I found some lock picks..." He immediately handed them to me, suddenly seeming to focus on my face. "You weren't lying..." "What?" "You have a spider bite on your face. It's barely noticeable, but it's there." Maybe Timothy is some sort of spider ghost?

Keeping the thought mind, I headed back over to the hallway seeing Angie holding the key. "Are you ready to continue?" "As ready as I'll ever be!" I lied, placing the lock picks in my pocket as Angie opened the door.

[0073]

"No more eyes... Seek is probably going to chase us here again." I stated, stepping into the long hallway. "Miu, are you ready?" Kirumi asked, concerned. "Yeah... My ankle is really starting to hurt. I'd rather do this now then later." "Then you can go in the front to get a head start. I'll stay at the back." I ordered, watching Miu hesitantly listen. Everyone lined up behind Miu, following her as she slowly limped to the other side.

"Whatever you do, don't stop running until you see a room with no more eyes. Then we'll close the door on Seek." I told, directing the statement at Miu. I watched behind us, quickly seeing the red light appear from before. It's coming...

"RUN!"

I followed behind as everyone ran, Miu keeping a steady pace.

[0074]

Shit, these rooms are different. I should've expected it. Hearing Seek running faster behind me then before, I stayed close behind Kirumi who was in front of me. I ran around the furniture middle of the room, heading into the next one.

[0075]

My heart began beating faster then before, listening to how much faster Seek was. Sharply turning left, I nearly felt myself fall over as I continued running behind the maid. "S-Shit!" I heard Miu yell, Kirumi in front of me seeming to slow down. No, no, no, NO! I ran around the maid, catching up to Miu who was still moving, but much slower then before. I quickly grabbed her arm, trying to drag her ahead.

[0076]

"Come on! Only a few more doors!" "R-Right!" Miu looked as if she held back her pain, continuing to run forwards. I let go of her arm, staying close behind the inventor. If she trips, we're all going to die. She has to make it. She will make it!

[0077]

I turned right, following Miu. I steadied my heart beat, hearing Seek still getting closer. "You're going to make it!" I encouraged Miu, as if we weren't running for our lives. "Just a little farther!" "You got this Miu!" "I believe in you!" The others began encouraging her as well as she pushed forwards.

[0078]

Miu seemed to run a bit faster, not wanting to fail. I watched her practically slam into the next door before swinging it open, continuing to run.

[0079]

"There are broken chandeliers again! Watch out!" I pointed out, Miu nodding as she headed forwards, avoiding the fire and the hands. Eventually, Miu opened and pushed through the door. I quickly followed behind, noticing it was a normal room again.

[0080]

I turned around, standing by the door. Angie, Kaito, Shuichi, Kirumi! I shut the door after Kirumi entered, leaning against it watching Kirumi and Kaito join me. I felt Seek banging on the door, before going quiet. "Fuck..." I turned towards Miu, watching her get on the floor, laying down. "I-Is your foot okay!?" Kaito stuttered. "I just need a few minutes..." Miu muttered, exhausted.

"Is everyone else okay?" Kirumi asked. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure everyone else is okay." Shuichi guessed, looking around at everyone else in the room. I found myself walking over to the inventor, crouching beside her. "You think you can keep going in a few minutes?"

I asked quietly, knowing we can't wait around forever. "I... I think so... Yeah, let's keep g-going." I held out my hand, helping the inventor back onto her feet. She looks a bit out of it and in a lot of pain... Maybe we'll come across another infirmary. We walked over to the next door, waiting for everyone else.

Slowly but surely, everyone approached, not wanting to but ready to continue. I waited until everyone was ready before turning the door handle.

[0081]

"Ugh, this room smells like shit!" Miu quickly pointed out, covering her nose. "Yeah..." Kaito agreed as we began walking further into the room.

*Clink* *Clink* *Clink*

"I-Is it Rush!? There's no closets!"

I debated running forwards, however two pairs of arms around me prevented me from doing so. "W-What the-" "S-Save me!" Kaito cried, holding onto me as if I'd take him out of this place. Still not hearing Rush, I tried to push him away remembering how he pissed himself before, but to no avail. "We're fuckin' fine! Get it together!" Miu yelled at Kaito. Slowly he backed away, letting go. "W-Where is it then?! Why did the lights flicker? Didn't we just escape Seek?!"

"Maybe it's coming again..." Shuichi thought. I carefully looked towards the light. They did flicker a lot... "Let's keep going, if we see eyes in the next room then we'll know." I walked over to the door handle, placing my hand on it-

[0082]

I sharply inhaled, feeling my body get seemingly teleported. "W-What's going on?!" Kaito yelled, close behind me. "I don't know." Kirumi simply stated. A dark cyan blue filled my vision as I hesitantly walked forwards. "RUN! SOMETHING'S BEHIND US!" Shuichi yelled, afraid. Quickly, I made sure Miu was close behind before sprinting forwards. I began to shiver hearing the distorted sound behind me.

'Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around-'

I quickly turned around, pushing Kaito and Miu the other way. "GO!" Not truly knowing what this monster was, fear seemed to quickly crawl up my spine. I need to stay calm-

'Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around-'

I grabbed Miu and Kaito's wrists, dragging them back the other way. I could already feel my ears ring as the glitchy sound got louder. I began sprinting again.

'Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around-'

*Thud*

I felt my body slam against the ground. I pushed Miu's leg seeing her still standing. "GO THE OTHER WAY!" I ordered, trying to get back onto my feet again. I looked back, noticing the ghostly like monster heading towards me. I got up fast, and ran back towards the others.

'Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around-'

I faced the other way, grabbing Miu's arm as I ran through a doorframe. I looked back, seeing the monster chase the others as they ran towards me.

'Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around-'

The noise began to completely fill my head. It only got louder.

"AAHHHH!"

'Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around-'

I began to shake hearing the detective scream in pain. I turned around, putting Miu's hand in Kaito's as I watched the detective struggle to stand. I quickly grabbed his arm, helping him back onto his feet as he clutched his head, tearing up.

'Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around-'

I quickly pulled the detective along with me. "I SEE THE DOOR!" Kirumi yelled, presumably in front. I looked to everyone else noticing Kaito beginning to cry as well. Angie the only one with a not-so afraid look on her face. "RUN!" I quickly made a run for it before I had to turn around again. I see it! The next door is right there!- I sprinted as fast as I could dragging the detective behind me.

[0083]

*Thump*

I fell onto the floor, feeling the detective fall on top of me. No longer hearing the loud noise, I stopped, not moving. What just happened... I slowly got my thoughts together, trying to recall what had just happened. I stayed still, continuing to lay my head on the floor as Shuichi got off of me. "A-Are you okay sidekick?!"

"Yeah, but my head really hurts..." I let out a sigh of relief knowing the detective was okay. "Cock-itchy! You alive?" I didn't answer, still trying to gather my thoughts. Well... That was new... I let out an annoyed whine feeling someone nudge me. "He's fine!" Miu answered. I felt the floor creak beside me. Miu most likely laying there. "Fuck..." I listened to Miu curse.

"I nearly had a heart attack..." Kaito admitted, sniffling. "Me too..." Shuichi agreed, sounding exhausted. I felt a hand pat me on the back. "Come on abortion! We got to keep moving!" Hearing Miu, I slowly got up. "Yeah..." I said trying to hide my tiredness, which didn't seem to work. I walked towards the detective, seeing him wiping away his tears.

"Are you okay Shumai?" "Y-Yeah... Thanks for saving me..." "Nishishi~ No problem!" I finally looked around in the room we were in, noticing the four closets. "We need to keep moving." I reminded them. "Look at it this way. We're almost at door one-hundred! It could possibly be our escape, buuutt I doubt it'll be that close. But you never know!" I attempted to encourage the others.

"What do we call that ghost-lookin' fucker that just attacked us?" "W-What about Halt? 'Cause, y'know, it kind of slowed us down? Making us go back and forth like that..." Kaito suggested. Miu laughed, standing up and heading over to Kaito. "That's a fuckin' great name! I never thought you'd finally start to get your shit together again!" Miu's semi-encouraging words seemed to make Kaito a little happier.

"It seems that if the lights flicker longer then usual, then that means Halt is in the next room rather then Rush?" Kirumi observed. "It looks like it..." Shuichi seemed to agree, walking towards the next door. I watched as his expression became slightly less pained. He looks like he's already feeling better... Wait... He had some of the herbs from the infirmary too. Does that mean the affects of it are still working? Is he healing? It's too early to know for sure...

Making sure to pay extra close attention to Miu and Shuichi, I headed towards the next door. "Let's keep going sidekick!" It seems like Kaito is finally getting his shit together again. That's good. "Atua has told me as long as we stay sharp, we will make it!" Angie chimed in.

"Right! Let's go!" Miu yelled, clear determination in her voice. I placed my hand on the door handle, looking towards everyone else. "Are you ready?" I watched nearly everyone give a small nod, Kaito giving a thumbs up. I couldn't help but slightly smile, turning the handle.

[0084]

I stepped into the room, noticing nine other doors. The one sitting at the end of the hallway having a padlock on it. "Don't fuckin' tell me we gotta-"

A deep distorted yell echoed throughout the room, air seeming to push past me. "HIDE!" I yelled, hearing it approach with extreme speed. I grabbed Miu's arm, running towards the nearest door. I slammed it open, practically pushing the inventor towards the closet in the room. "GET IN!" I ordered, dropping to the ground and rolling under the bed.

I watched as a green light shined throughout the room. I watched the monster speed even faster then Rush through the door frame.

'Get out, get out, get out, get out-'

I quickly got out from under the bed watching Miu do the same.

The sound got louder again.

"GET BACK IN!" I ordered as Miu panicked, confused. I shoved her back into the closet, closing the doors before dropping back to the ground and rolling under the bed.

"W-WAIT! WHAT'S-"

The voice got cut off suddenly.

It zoomed past, seeming even louder then before.

'Get out, get out, get out, get out, get out, get out-'

I crawled out from underneath the bed again, watching Miu step out of the closet. I listened as it seemed to be coming back, again. "GET BACK INSIDE!" I ordered watching the inventor begin to shake under pressure. She listened, getting back in the closet.

I dropped to the ground, trying to get back under the bed again.

*Snap*

I turned towards the noise, noticing a wooden part of the bed frame sticking through the skin on my hand. That's a lot of skin- I'll loose it, I need too! I quickly yanked my hand through the wood, pulling it farther under the bed. I began watching blood seep out of my hand and onto the carpet. The monster zoomed by again.

'Get out, get out, get out, get out, get out-'

I got out again, Miu doing the same as she seemed to notice my injury. "G-Get back in!" I stuttered, getting back under the bed once more, listening. It's quiet now... I waited a little longer until red filled my vision. I got out again, looking at my hand.

A patch of skin that was on the back of my hand now lay on the floor. Someone died. There's no way we all survived that, and that yell... Miu hopped out of the closet, clearly shaken up. "W-What was that!?" I didn't answer. I noticed as The Ultimate Artist looked inside the room, a neutral expression on her face. "So you are both okay. I cannot say the same thing for the others..." Angie spoke in a unsettlingly sad tone. Are they dead? Kirumi? Kaito? Shuichi? I need to know...

Feeling blood dripping down my hand, I could already feel myself getting sick. Slowly, I walked into the hallway. Seeing what I hoped not to see.

There, the body of Kaito Momota, The Luminary Stars, laid on the ground. Near by, Kirumi stood, a hand over her chest. "W-Where's Shuichi?" I asked, trying to stay calm. "I'm unsure..." Kirumi answered, beginning to look around. I walked over to Kaito, using my good hand to check his pulse, not feeling one. "He's gone..." I confirmed, seeing his eyes still wide open with fear burned into his expression.

"Kaito?"

I looked up hearing the familiar voice. I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief seeing the detective looked okay. I watched even more tears roll down the sides of the detectives already tear stained face. "W-We were just..." Shuichi stuttered, putting a hand over his mouth. I watched Angie go over to the detective in an attempt to comfort him.

We were so... Close... I'd assume Kaito ran back into the closets when that thing first came... Then after it went by, he came back out, looking for us. I don't know where Shuichi, Angie, and Kirumi hid... But... I felt my breathing quicken. I had a choice. I could've taken Kaito with me instead of Miu. But would Miu have made it instead? I wouldn't have chosen her if she wasn't hurt... Would she have made it if Kaito didn't make us fall down the stairs in the first place? If she wasn't hurt, she could've made it... Dammit Kaito...

Now that all Shuichi's closest friends are gone, he probably feels awful... I watched the detective continuously choke out sobs as Angie attempted but failed to comfort him. I tried to put a fake smile on my face, but I couldn't.

The five of us must all be lucky to survive... That was horrible... I recalled how loud the monster was. Maybe Miu could've gone with Kirumi instead? Where was Kirumi, Angie, and Shuichi? I understand why they didn't help Kaito, that was too surprising. I walked over to the detective feeling the air brush against my opened wound. Angie stepped away as I approached.

Without hesitation, I wrapped my arms around the detective. The others can see me now. They're watching, but this is the right thing to do. Nobody deserves to watch one of their closest friends die. Nobody. I listened to another pair of footsteps as they seemed to approach. I watched Angie join us in our hug. "Do not worry Shuichi! Everything will be okay!" She spoke in a cheerful tone.

Hearing another pair of footsteps, I watched Kirumi join the hug as well. "We'll keep fighting. As your maid, I will help you all get to the exit. We will survive, at least one of us has to." She simply stated.

"Hey! Don't fuckin' leave me outta this you damned virgins!" I heard Miu yell, trying to walk over as fast as she could. I felt her sudden arms wrap partially around me as she continued speaking. "If those shitty monsters think they can kill us all, they'd be damn fucking wrong!" Miu attempted to encourage, sounding more confident.

"Right. And we're going to make it out of here, okay Shumai? As many of us as possible! We're not going to let this weenie head of a hotel kill us! We'll get our revenge! If Kaito could make it this far, you know how much farther we know we can make it?" I looked up towards the detective seeing a small smile appear on his face, seeming to look past me and towards the body of the astronaut.

He wiped away his tears as the others began pulling away, myself being the last one to do so. "Let's g-go lay h-him down on a bed..." Shuichi spoke, heading towards Kaito's body. I nodded as the others gathered around the astronauts body, lifting him up. Shit, he's heavier then I thought, even with all this help...

Slowly, we carried him into a room, laying him down on a bed. After doing so, I walked towards his face, shutting his eyes. I softly smiled while looking towards the body. Kaito Momota, Luminary of the Idiots. I never thought you'd make it this far, let alone get along with me at all. The whole time in the hotel you just sorta stood there, and pissed your pants... I couldn't help but chuckle, remembering to remind myself to laugh at the fact he pissed his pants.

I glanced towards everyone else's faces. They're going to miss him, but we can't stop, not now. I turned around, quietly leaving the room. Eventually, everyone left the room, the last one being Shuichi who closed the door behind him. "Hey abortion! How's your hand?" My hand?... Oh, right. The reminder of it caused me to focus more on the pain. I looked at it, seeing the torn and broken skin with small pieces of wood still stuck inside. I'm gonna have to pull those out before it heals over...

Using my good hand, I reached towards the other, grabbing a piece of wood stuck under my skin. Holy shit, this hurts way more then I thought... I let go of it, only to watch more blood seep out of the wound. "Kokichi, may I ask how you got injured?" Kirumi questioned. "When I went under a bed to hide from that new monster thingy, the back of my hand somehow got caught on a loose piece of the bedframe. Instead of properly taking it out, where it probably would've been just more of a minor injury, I heard the monster coming. So I just yanked it towards me. Nishishi~" I laughed trying to ease my worry of the injury.

I hope the herbs are still in affect. If they aren't this is definitely going to cause me problems later. "May I take a look?" I nodded, letting the maid inspect my wound. "Under normal circumstances I'd suggest you go to the hospital due to the deepness of the wound. I do have some medical knowledge, but I do not have the proper tools here to preform proper surgery, however..." I watched the maid look towards the fireplace in the room.

"I understand that the herbs you had, which seemed to help earlier may still be in affect. Though if they do not help you, you may bleed out since the tear in your flesh is extremely deep. I must also admit, I can see the bone in your hand." "Wow! You can? I wanna see!" I spoke in a childish tone which seemed to relieve Kirumi a bit. I looked back at my hands realizing you could indeed see some bone, but you wouldn't notice it unless you were looking closely.

"Can you still move your hand?" I painfully moved my fingers one by one, only my fourth and pinkie finger seeming to having trouble moving. However, I could barely move both. "Would you like to wait to see if the wound heals on it's own? Or do something now?" If the herbs have already worn off, I could die easily. Considering they were dead when we left the infirmary could mean that they stopped working, but I would've thought that if Shu didn't look so much better then when his head began to hurt.

Although, the herb still takes time to heal, and I know Kirumi is probably going to attempt to cauterize some of the wound, probably just the deeper part. It's not the smartest thing to do in this situation, but we don't have many other options. We could probably take some of the material from the fabrics from the beds for stitching, but it would take a while to do that. Even then we'd still need a needle which we would probably have to try to forge some by the fireplace, and we don't have the time for that.

"Let's do something now." I stated, feeling the dryness in my mouth from dehydration. I pulled out the lockpicks from my pocket, handing them to Kirumi. "These might work if you heat them up." "They should, thank you." Kirumi responded, already heading over to the fireplace. Good thing she has her gloves to protect her hands from most of the heat.

"You're one crazy abortion! You know how much that shit's going to hurt, right?" "Nishishi~ Nothing can hurt me! Don't worry, I'm invincible!" I clearly lied, beginning to head over to Kirumi. If Kirumi does have experience like this, then I shouldn't end up loosing a hand and it shouldn't go wrong...

Knowing this already wasn't the smartest idea, though a potentially necessary one. I sat down on the floor near Kirumi, watching the metal heat up. "Hey, Miu, may I ask for your assistance?" I watched the inventor walk over. "What do ya need me for?" "Normally I wouldn't ask you for this, considering your injury. But could you make sure Kokichi stays still? I wouldn't want to mess up nor drop the hot metal onto myself or him."

"Nishishi~ Worried it's going to be too painful for me?" "Yes." I've burnt myself before, but I've never had hot metal directly exposed to my flesh for a long amount of time... I'll be fine! I tried to reassure myself, trying not to think of it. "Why not ask Angie or Pooichi?" "Angie isn't strong enough to prevent Kokichi from moving around and Shuichi is not in the right state of mind. I believe he needs more time to grieve over his friend." I looked backwards to the detective, who was sat down against the door leading to the room Kaito's body was in.

"I am nearly ready. Are you, Kokichi?" "Yep!" I lied, beginning to believe I could never be truly ready for something like this. "Miu, do you know how to properly restrain someone?" "D-Depends on the circumstances..." I internally face palmed. I watched the maid sigh, placing down the hot metal near the fire. "Kokichi, I apologize for any discomfort this may cause you however I believe it is necessary to keep everyone safe. Unless of course you decide to not go along with the cauterization."

"Nishishi~ Don't worry! Nothing's too painful for me~" I smiled, Kirumi seeming to feel as if I wouldn't understand how painful it'd be. "Alright then. Kokichi, I need you to lay on your good hand." I carefully did as told. "Miu, if you're still willing to help, I need you to sit on Kokichi."

"What?" Miu and I spoke in sync.

"If you do not mind-" "Fuck yeah! He's always been calling me 'Bitchlet' now look who's on top!" Miu cut Kirumi off, standing above me. I could practically feel myself getting crushed under the weight of the inventor as she sat on my back. Out of all the things that would happen to me in this dumb hotel... Why did *this* have to happen?! I debated my life choices as Kirumi continued to speak.

"Now, Miu, I need you to restrain Kokichi's free arm without touching his hand. Please do be mindful of his other injury, though." "This is already getting ten times better!" Maybe I shouldn't have agreed to this... Why? Why did I do it!? I looked towards the detective seeing him seem to notice the scene. I've officially ruined my reputation as the Evil Ultimate Supreme Leader. I thought, feeling Miu shift her body so that her leg was holding down my arm, close to my injured hand.

"We are almost ready. I need a few more minutes to re-heat the metal since it has cooled down-" "I can practically smell your ass from down here!" I lied, trying to embarrass the inventor which seemed to work as she let out a squeal. I watched the maid sigh, clearly disappointed in us. "W-Well, you smell like- P-Piss!" "Really? Are you sure you aren't just smelling your own stench? After all, heat rises~"

"F-Fuck you! Little damned lying abortion!" I felt the inventor passive-aggressively hit me on the back of the head. "W-What!? You h-h-hit me?! Y-You're so m-mean! WWAAAAAAHHHHH-" "It's ready." I immediately became quiet, watching Kirumi kneel closer. "On a scale from one to ten, how bad will this hurt the abortion?" "Eleven."

"Kokichi, do you still want to go through with this?-" "Yes! We're dying from dehydration and starvation! Come on!" I tried to make her hurry, fear quickly rushing up my spine. "Alright then, I recommend you bite down on your scarf." "This is just getting even more kinky by the second!" Miu commented. "Well then, snap a mental image while you're at it! The longer we stay here, the less likely it'll last!" I spoke, grabbing the cloth with my mouth.

"I suggest you look away, however do as you please." I decided to look towards it, watching Kirumi pick out some of the tiny pieces of wood left in my hand before helping Miu in holding down my arm with her free hand. "I am going to do it now, please try to keep still."

"Three." Yes! She's actually counting down and not doing it suddenly! "Two.." I could feel my heart beat speed up as I watched a hand find it's way in front of my eyes. Why is Miu blocking my vision?! Does she think I shouldn't see? "One..."

I felt the hot metal press against my skin. This is- NOT FINE. THIS IS NOT FINE AT ALL. Feeling my blood sizzle at the contact with the metal, I pressed my head against the cold floor. I tried as hard as I could to stay quiet, but I couldn't help but let muffled whines escape my mouth. No thoughts seemed to be able to connect as I lifted my head back up, barely being able to see between the inventors fingers.

I began feeling sick at the sight, watching Kirumi pull the metal away from my hand. The pain didn't seem to go away as the maid returned the metal to the fire before bringing it back towards my hand. I instinctively tried to move my hand, but to no avail. I watched as Kirumi brought the metal back a second time, pressing it against my flesh once more.

I quickly hit my head against the floor at the pain, effectively hurting Miu's hand as I closed my eyes tightly. I felt my world spin despite my eyes being closed.

After what felt like a few more minutes of pain, I carefully lifted my head again. I watched the maid pull the metal away, dried blood clearly stuck the metal. I couldn't help but internally smile as the maid put down the heated lockpicks. "You didn't move quite as much as I had expected." The voice seemed to fly past me as the pain remained, stinging horribly.

I felt the inventor remove her hand from covering my eyes. Feeling dizzy, I dropped my head for a third time. Nausea and relief began to wash over me. I felt the inventor carefully get off of me, sitting down near by. "H-Hey, that l-looked pretty painful... You okay Cock-Itchy?" I couldn't reply, as I felt my injured hand getting touched. Attempting to pull my hand away, I felt a grip tighten around it before I could do so. "I am trying to ensure I did a good job, please refrain from moving your hand."

Knowing it'd be hard to do so, I tried to relax. I spat the scarf out of my mouth, looking towards the maid. "C-Can... You let go?" I stuttered, watching the maid do so. "Yes. Why?-" I quickly stood up, entering a room next to the fireplace. I quickly got on my good hand and knees, allowing the few contents of my stomach to come up.

After my stomach seemed to empty, I slowly stood again. Holy shit... That was fucking horrible... Would I do it again if I needed too?... Probably. I left the room, trying to focus on regaining energy as I closed the door behind me. "A-Are you okay?" Miu questioned again as I stopped in front of her. "Y-Yeah... Perfectly fine..."

"Are you alright?" I looked towards Shuichi who asked as he approached. I replied with a half-smile, still trying to ignore the pain in my hand. I payed attention to Kirumi as she walked over, looking impressed. "I have never seen someone able to recover so quickly from a cauterization. Let alone without having taken any anesthetics before hand. Not to mention you hadn't shed a tear during the whole process..."

"Great..." I muttered feeling myself wobble. "Kokichi?-" Kirumi's concerned voice began to fade as I collapsed, hitting the floor hard. "He can't pass out. If he does, then we won't be able to wake him for a while, and we must continue." I heard Kirumi state. "Hmm? No... I won't..." I uttered, trying to stand again.

Half way to standing, I felt two arms wrap around me, holding me up. "Hey, w-we really need keep going. Okay?" Shuichi spoke sounding close, most likely being the one holding me up. "I... Just need a minute..." "Okay. One minute." I leaned further onto the detective, beginning to feel even more tired.

Dammit, Shu's so warm... But we need to keep going. If we don't we'll all die and now that my stomach is empty... I need to find food. I began standing up right, touching my recently cauterized wound to quickly bring me back to reality. Feeling the pain it caused, I regained some focus. I slowed my breathing, looking around the room. Right, we need a key.

"Let's keep going." I spoke, moving away from the detective. "Kokichi, I will need to keep occasionally checking up on your hand to make sure it's okay." I nodded, letting out a sigh. Right. We need to keep going.

As I entered a room close to the door at the far back, I began searching for the key. On the bed? No... Inside one of these drawers?... No... I shook my hand, trying to ignore the continuing stinging pain. I headed back into the hallway, noticing Angie with the key.

"I've found it!" I let out a sigh of relief. Angie began heading towards the door with the lock on it. Slowly, everyone began gathering around it. I put a smile on my face once again. "Let's do this!" I cheered, running towards them as if burning hot metal wasn't touching my hands mere moments ago. I saw a small smile appear on the detectives face as he looked at me. "We're going to make it, right Shumai?" I questioned, hesitantly watching the detective nod.

*Click*

Angie opened the door revealing a dark room. "No!" I childishly spat, looking towards the door plaque. "Shit, Dupe is also here too?" I spoke in a more serious tone. "Does anyone remember which door we were on?..." "Yeah, this is eighty five. Which means we need to go through eighty six." I answered the detective, hesitantly leading the way into the dark room.

[0085]

*Thud*

*Thud*

I paused hearing heavy furniture fall. I hesitantly placed my good hand on the lighter in my pocket before quickly moving my hand away. We need to save as much lighter fuel as possible. Dupe never seems to end up killing someone, so if I just walked in one direction and come across Dupe I should be okay. I continued moving forwards, eventually finding the wall before heading right.

"Pssst."

I looked towards the noise, watching Screech disappear. As I continued, I turned a corner, placing my hand on a door handle. Slowly, I turned it.

*Click*

"Shit..." I muttered, seeing the next room was also dark, with a small amount of light coming through the windows. "I found it~" I hummed, hearing the others seem to approach. "Fuck, is it another dark room?" "Yeah~" I walked into the next room.

[0086]

"Pssst."

I looked towards Screech, watching it seemingly vanish into the darkness again. Looking back forwards, I carefully continued towards the door. Soon, I was standing in front of it. I placed my good hand on the handle, waiting for everyone to approach. "You guys ready?" I questioned. "Atua believes everybody is ready!" Angie spoke. I waited a few extra seconds, not hearing anyone argue with Angie's answer, I opened the door.

[0087]

I looked around at the five closets in the room, freezing at hearing a familiar sound. "Move! Stand by a closet, now!" I ordered, running towards my own. "Get in a closet!" I commanded, slipping into one as the green light filled the room, quickly vanishing. "Get out!" I ordered as I left the closet, hearing the monster return.

"Back in!" I yelled, closing the closet behind me as the monster left the room as quickly as it had entered. "Out!" I stepped out of the closet, hearing the monster return. "In!" I ordered, once again getting into a closet as the green light filled the room. "Get out!" Getting out of the closet, I listened out for the monster, hearing it come back a fourth time.

"Get in!" I yelled, hiding back in the closet. I watched the monster enter and exit the room again through the crack between the closet doors. "Out!" I commanded, stepping out. The sound disappeared. I glanced around at everyone else in the room, letting out a sigh of relief seeing them okay.

"The fuck was that? Some shitty off-brand Rush?" Miu commented, carefully walking over. "Perhaps we should give it a name?" Kirumi suggested. "What about Ambush?" Angie asked, choosing the most suitable name. "Yeah. Ambush..." I agreed, taking a look at my hand. It looks pretty bad... But as long as it's still functional. I tried moving my fourth and fifth fingers on my injured hand, the stinging pain causing me to regret doing so.

I sharply exhaled, trying to ignore the pain as I headed to the next door. "You guys ready to keep going?" I questioned, bringing my injured hand close to my chest. "Yeah, are you?" Miu asked, walking over. I nodded, turning to the door. I placed my good hand on the door handle, turning it.

"Hey guys! We're almost at one-hundre-"

*Thud*

I felt my body get teleported, closer to the door where we entered. I landed on the wooden floor, the others seeming to have done so as well. "Ow..." I whined, feeling pain coming from my hand. I quickly pulled it towards me, standing. "What t-the shit was that?!" "Is everybody okay?" I asked, watching the others around me stand.

"Yeah, I think so..." Shuichi replied, dusting himself off. I remember seeing that glitchy thing. Wasn't it the thing that brought me here? I looked around, noticing we seemed to be in some sort of bedroom.

"Kokichi, this room seems quite safe. May I take a look at your hand?" Kirumi questioned, walking closer. "Sure~" I put a smile on my face as the maid held my injured hand, examining it. "It seems it has healed a little bit. However, it still may take quite a bit of time to fully heal." So the herbs are still in affect... Does that mean the cauterization was worth it? I guess I'll really be able to tell once it heals even more to see how long it takes-

"Atua has showed me something quite divine!" Curious, I turned towards the artist. "Is that a cross?" Shuichi asked, walking closer to observe it. "Atua has told me this will help you all survive!" Angie stated, lifting the cross above her head.

"Hey, do you fuckers hear that?" Miu questioned. I looked towards the inventor as she rested her head against the next door. I felt the maid let go of my hand as I noticed her heading over to Miu. I followed closely behind. "It sounds like there's quite the storm out there..." Kirumi noted. "You fuckers wanna go check it out?" Miu asked.

"Sure!" I childishly headed closer to the door, watching Angie and Shuichi approach. "You guys ready to continue?" I asked, watching them nod in response. Slowly, I opened the door, smiling at what I saw.

[0089]

"I-Is that rain we can actually-" Shuichi stopped as I ran forwards, opening the metal door. I noticed the stairs, ignoring them as I instead jumped over the railing, landing on the grass. I smiled feeling the cold rain hitting my face. My hand stung as the rain pattered against it. Trying to ignore the pain, I opened my mouth, tasting the rain. "I suggest we try to drink as much of the rain as possible. Who knows when we'll find another room like this again." Kirumi stated.

After a few more minutes of drinking the rain, I closed my mouth, getting cold. "Do any of you fuckers have anything we could keep some of the rain in?" "I don't, but unless we can find something that isn't too heavy to carry rain water in, I wouldn't bother. We can't have anything weighing us down when we're trying to escape Rush or something else." I answered Miu, walking over to her.

"How's your ankle?" I asked the inventor. "Ha! You were teasing me earlier because I was worried about you. Now look who's worried about me!" "Yeahhh... No. I'm not actually worried about you. I just want to make sure you don't slow us down~" I teased. "Fuckin' liar!-" "Kokichi, come take a look at this." I heard the detective say. I turned, quickly heading over to him. That's a big statue... I didn't even notice it before. Probably because I was too focused on the rain.

"It seems to be some sort of angelic figure with a sword... It's body is very... Odd..." Shuichi pointed out, examining the statue. It reminds me of something... Where do I recognize that body shape from?... Maybe it's not worth thinking about, not right now anyways. We need to keep moving. "Shu, have you drank enough rain water?" "Yeah. I've had plenty." "Alright! Let's keep going then~" I began walking towards the stairs. "What about the others?" "Who cares about them! Let's go!" I childishly joked, running ahead.

I headed towards the next door, leaning over the railing and looking at where Kirumi and Angie stood. "Hey, have you guys had enough water?" I asked, getting the two to look towards me. "I have!" Angie smiled, heading towards the stairs. "What about you Kirumom?" "I believe I have had just enough. Thank you for asking." She as well began heading towards the stairs.

We're almost at door one hundred. There were twelve of us, and now there's only five. I doubt these rooms will end soon, but we're learning. Will we all really make it out of here? It's hard to say, especially since so many of us have died so far... But Kirumi just thanked me... Shuichi was so nice to me... Angie and Miu have still been... Angie and Miu... I want them to make it. I don't want anyone else to die, but it's going to happen.

I'd just rather it be me instead of anybody else.

I watched as the others began gathering around the next door. I put on a fake smile, heading over to them. "Hey, Cum Dumpster! Have you had enough water?" "Yeah, what about you, damned abortion?" "I've had plenty~ But you never did answer my question from earlier! How is your ankle? We might need to run again."

"It's okay. Still hurts like a bitch, but I should be fine to run if I need to." We really need to find some other magical healing thing for Miu's ankle. I can tell it's getting worse from her expression. I just hope we can find something soon. "Alright. Let's keep going!" I placed my hand on the door handle of steel door, opening it. Walking through it, I placed my hand on the next handle, looking at everyone. "You guys ready to go?"

"Yeah, I think everyone's ready." Shuichi spoke. I noticed the determined looks on everyone's faces as I turned the handle, opening the next door.

[0090]

I stepped inside the dark hallway, quickly walking down it. "Hey Cock Itchy, since door fifty had Figure, do you think door one hundred will have some sorta challenging monster too?" "Probably. It might be harder to avoid then Figure. So when we reach that door, we should be careful." I explained, finding the next door. "I'm going to open the next door." I warned. Not hearing anyone speak up, I slowly turned the handle.

[0091]

"EYES!" I quickly turned away from the blue-ish glow. I nearly forgot about that thing even though it killed Tenko, Korekiyo and Kaede... Shit. I walked past it, heading into the next room. From the occasional bit of lightning that hit the windows, I made out the plants and different looking closets within the dark room.

I blindly walked through the darkness, finding and opening the next door which seemed to make Eyes disappear. As I stood still, I listened to the familiar distorted noise that seemed to approach. "Shit, Rush is coming!" I announced. "W-What?!" "Just hide! I need to run ahead because there aren't enough closets here- Go!" I ordered, running into the next room.

[0092]

The lightning quickly flashing again, I noticed another closet, heading towards it. As Rush seemed close to me, I quickly slipped inside the closet, watching the monster zoom past. I got out, immediately heading back towards the previous room.

[0091]

"Is everyone okay?" I asked, worried that Rush's sudden appearance got someone. "I am!" Miu announced. I let out a sigh of relief knowing she was the least likely to make it. "I am alive!" Angie spoke in a positive tone. "I-I'm okay..." "I am alright as well." Shuichi and Kirumi replied. "You guys ready to keep going?" I asked. "Yeah, pretty sure we all are..." Miu spoke for the others. Not hearing anybody disagree, I headed back into the next room.

[0092]

As no more lightning seemed to strike, I walked forwards. So far, room ninety one and ninety two have been similar... I guess we are nearing door one hundred which could mean some strange entity is about to go after us again. Maybe it'll be some sort of plant monster? This does seem a bit like a green house from what I've noticed...

Rush... That dumb monster has been after us from the start, and it killed Gonta... Maybe he made it? I never did go back to check for myself, I couldn't. If I did, I would've let my Evil Supreme Leader act down... Though I've done that now anyways... I found the next door, placing my hand on the handle. "I'm opening the next door." I simply stated, opening the door.

[0093]

Still, Rush has been coming into dark rooms which I don't think we saw before. Unless we got really lucky, but I doubt it. I listened out for Rush again, not hearing anything of interest. Where's Screech? We're in a dark room, so it should've appeared by now... Unless there's something here that it doesn't like- The lightning flashed suddenly, revealing an odd pile of dirt on the ground.

"Can you guys stop for a minute?" I asked. "Yeah, why?" Shuichi asked. I knelt down in front of it, lightning flashing again. It's filled with holes... By the looks of it, it might've been made by something going through it... Was it ants?...

Was it Timothy?

I don't know what species that damned spider is, but I don't want to step onto this weird patch and have a bunch of baby Timothy's crawling up my leg... I shivered at the thought. "There's a weird thing on the ground... Just avoid stepping on it. It doesn't look right." I pointed out, walking around it. The others seemed to follow me as I headed to the next door. Placing my hand on the handle, I slowly turned it. "I'm opening the next door." I stated again, heading through.

[0094]

Noticing the lightning flashing again, nothing seemed to be in the way of the direct path towards the next door. I headed towards it, listening out for Rush or anything else. Finding my way to the next door quickly, I placed my hand on the handle. "I'm opening the next door." I repeated, doing as said.

[0095]

"Pssst."

I looked towards the unexpected noise, watching the monster disappear. Finally... Took it long enough... I felt my stomach rumble, glad it was quiet enough for nobody else to hear. I should've just swallowed my puke earlier, would've made going hungry a lot easier... Now that I think about it, we might even have to resort to cannibalism. I lifted up my injured hand, trying to look at it through the darkness. With my hand so fucked, I wouldn't mind picking at it first, just not the whole thing. It's already pretty dry because of the cauterizing... Probably crunchy too...

I quietly laughed, finding the next door handle. "Door ninety six~" I spoke singsongingly. Without giving the others much of a warning, not seeming to have to, I opened the door, heading inside the next room.

[0096]

I hesitantly pulled out my lighter, realizing the frustration of not being able to see in the dark. I turned it on, facing the detective. "Hey, Shumai, you can hold onto this." I didn't wait for a response, handing Shuichi the lighter. "Why don't you want it?" "I'm a professional door opener at this point, so I need to open the doors but I only have one hand, so I need to use it carefully!" I stated, watching the detective smile.

Suddenly, I quickly noticed the loud noise coming closer that I didn't notice before. The others seeming to do so as well. I began heading towards the two farthest closets in the room, noticing the detective following me. I watched the detective turn off his lighter, waiting outside the closet. "Now." I ordered, watching the detective slip inside before I followed closely behind.

"Goodbye!-"

That was Angie's voice... After Rush disappeared, I quickly headed out of the closet, heading towards the direction of where Angie's voice was, and as the lightning flashed again, her body was there, on the ground.

"H-HELP!" I heard the detective cry out, I turned around noticing his lighter on by his foot, spikes piercing through Shuichi's foot. "I will assist you!" Kirumi stated, heading over. "Shit! M-My ankle just fucked up even worse!" Miu yelled. I went to head towards her voice, only to hear Rush approach again, quickly.

Kirumi is helping Shuichi, but he's not going to get his foot out in time, and Miu is on the floor and she's hurt again- Angie is dead! Why didn't she make it?! She's practically in the middle of the room! Were there no closets left for her? I need to make a choice! What kind of leader are you supposed to be if you can't do anything?!

As the lightning flashed again, I noticed the cross on the floor near Angie's body. Angie's dead, but she said it will help, right? What's it supposed to do? Scare Rush away- No, it might actually work. This is a haunted hotel, with evil monsters which means it might work! I noticed Rush quickly coming through the rooms we were previously in.

I have to run for it. If I don't they're gonna die, they'll all die, everyone will die!- Hurry up and run! Or are you just going to hide and let them die like everyone else? I began to run towards the cross on the ground, towards Rush. Tenko, Angie, Kaede, Gonta, Korekiyo, Himiko, Maki, Kaito- Did they die for nothing!? I could fully see the monsters face. They didn't! Not here because I won't let them!

I watched Rush appear in the room in front of me. Time felt slow as I raced against the monster, the lightning temporarily lighting up my path. I see it. It's so close. I locked my eyes in it's direction, not looking at the monster that was so close to me. As the room went dark, I picked something up. I lifted it, pointing it in the direction of Rush.

We need to live, otherwise all that everyone else has died for would mean nothing at all.

The room engulfed itself with a light blue glow. I watched the item I was holding, the cross, beginning to glow. I felt it make it's way out of my hands, in front of the monster that was now being held by chains. Almost as quickly as Rush had appeared, it got dragged into the ground by the chains, disappearing.

"I think I fucking s-shit my pants!" Miu yelled before continuing. "No, wait, it's just sweat!" I now found myself being relieved for two different reasons. Angie's dead- But Miu needs help, and Kirumi's helping Shuichi. I waited until lightning lit up the room again. Once it did, I headed towards the inventor. "What happened?" "I think it's just given out on me now... Fuck, it hurts r-really bad..."

"Let me help you." I held out a hand for the inventor, the lightning conveniently lighting up the are at the right time. She reached out for it, I felt her grab my hand. I barely managed to help her onto one foot. "Fuck..." She cursed, not even giving me a minute before choosing to put her weight on me. I'm going to need to use both hands to help her if she's going to be able to move. I reminded myself, using my other hand to help guide her towards the others. My injured hand stung as I did so.

"Shuichi, are you okay?" I asked getting close enough to the other two. Shuichi was now sat on the floor. "I-If alive counts as o-okay, then y-yeah..." Kirumi was investigating the strange thing on the floor. "We need to keep going." I reminded them, watching the maid pick up the lighter. "Angie is dead... We need to keep moving forwards now more then ever. There are only four of us left and now two of us can't properly walk. We need to be cautious and safe." I stated, guiding Miu towards the next door.

Miu's putting too much weight on me... Even more than before now. Although it was only a matter of time until her ankle gave out... Shit. I looked backwards, noticing the maid helping the detective. Slowly but surely, they made there way over. "We're nearly at one hundred, and assuming there's something big there  we'll have to be extra careful." I told, watching Kirumi help Shuichi up.

"Miu, Shuichi, do you think you can keep going?" Kirumi asked. "I-I don't know how much farther I can go like this..." Miu admitted. "Let's assume door one hundred has another monster in it. Don't you remember what was after door fifty? There was that shop! Maybe in door one-hundred and one there's another shop we could go to." I spoke up, trying to shed some light on the situation.

"But that's if, and only if, we can make it past whatever is at door one-hundred. For all we know, it could be Seek again!-" I cut off Miu. "How about this, at least for now we get out of the dark and keep moving, because Screech is going to appear any time soon and this is no place to have a conversation!"

"Y-Yeah, I agree..." Shuichi spoke. Slowly, I headed towards the next door. Kirumi opened it, leading Shuichi into the next room.

[0097]

"So, Cockitchy. It must've taken some balls to go against Rush like that! The fuck did you even do anyways?" Miu asked as we followed behind Kirumi and Shuichi, listening out for Rush. "I used my magical powers against Rush and sent it back to hell where it came from!" I lied, causing Miu to scoff. "Yeah right!-"

"C-Can you guys stop?"

The detectives voice caught me slightly off guard as he continued. "S-Stop acting like Angie didn't just die. I know it h-hurts but..." I felt my chest tighten at his tone. Angie isn't going to come back from the dead, nobody is...

Nobody...

No matter how many times I wish for them to come back, they won't. They're gone now, and there's nothing we can do about it. No matter how many times I think of them, it won't change anything- "I'm opening the next door." Kirumi warned. I watched her open the next door.

"Eyes!" she yelled. I quickly closed my eyes, continuing forwards. I continued to think, as the whispers from Eyes seemed to become nothing but background noise.

[0098]

I opened my eyes again once I got far enough away from the distorted whispers. Is it my fault? Was I not fast enough? If I knew about the monsters sooner... If I noticed all of the hints, right from the start... The closets, the lack of people, no Monokuma... I could've figured it out. I should've figured it out. I listened to myself shakily inhale.

"Pssst."

I looked towards the noise, watching Screech disappear. I was so much calmer and level-headed in the killing game... But the paranoia and the deaths... Death after death... So quickly... I don't want anyone else to die. I paused at the thought.

I shakily exhaled, beginning to hear my heart pound in my ears. "I am about to open the next door." Kirumi stated. I looked up in her direction, trying to push down my emotions. Slowly, I watched light peer through the gap in the next door.

[0099]

I stepped into the next room, quickly looking around. Stay calm! Now isn't the time to panic, dumbass! I tried to tell myself, the cold air making it more difficult to do so. I slowly followed Kirumi and Shuichi, Miu still leaning on me. Come on! Now isn't the time! Door one-hundred is right there! And showing any sign of weakness before will only discourage the others. What kind of leader are you supposed to be if you break so easily?

"So, what's the plan? Got one Cockitchy?" I pushed everything aside. I did what I can, and the past is the past. I need to save who is left, and nothing is going to stop me from doing that! I began to speak with a confident tone. "Yep! Since we don't have much time before we starve to death, I suggest we do this as quick as possible!"

"And how would we do that?" Kirumi asked. "If it's like door fifty and has any closets, Shuichi and Miu should stay in them. Since Hide didn't appear at door fifty, I think it's safe to say any closets that could be in there are safe to stay in for a longer amount of time."

"What about you and Kirumi?" Shuichi asked. "Whatever puzzle or monster we have to go up against, we'll figure it out! But we won't know anything just standing around, so I suggest we go in as soon as possible!"

"W-Wait! What if we have to run from something?" "It's simple! Then we'll just have to try to run, no matter what. Because it's either that or we starve to death here, and we are *not* going to starve to death." "Is everyone ready, then?" Kirumi questioned with her hand on the door handle. Shuichi and Miu hesitantly nodded before they both turned to me.

Nothing could truly prepare me for this, but I need to do it. I need to make it. For everyone who's died and for everyone is still alive. I will survive for them! "Yeah! Let's do this!" I cheered in a positively childish tone, which seemed to slightly encourage the others.

And before I had knew it, we were stepping into room one hundred. After going through one hundred doors, I could tell I was used to facing monsters, used to the running, used to the horrors... But no matter what, I could never get used to the deaths that would come with it.

[0100]

Slowly, I found myself stepping into the hallway. The lights flickered before me, the path ahead slowly revealing itself. I listened to the buzz of the lights in silence, our footsteps echoing throughout the room.

I looked down, noticing the liquid covering the floor. It wasn't long before we turned right, and I noticed the two closets ahead. "Perfect, Miu and Shuichi, you two can go hide in there." I spoke up, leading Miu towards one of the closets. Slowly, I helped her inside. "Good luck ya little abortion." Miu spoke, smiling towards me.

"Thanks cum dumpster! Make sure not to die while we're gone!" I spoke, slowly closing the closet with the inventor inside. I turned, heading towards Kirumi and Shuichi. "J-Just please be careful." Shuichi spoke, hesitantly heading inside the closet. The detectives face held a scared and tired expression. "Don't worry Shumai! Kirumom and I got this!" I tried to reassure the detective, which seemed to work a little as he showed a slight smile.

I watched the maid close the closet doors on the detective, turning around. "There seems to be a large door with an exit sign." Exit sign? I turned around paying close attention. "Let us not be fooled by it. I doubt it's a real exit, but perhaps it is." Kirumi spoke, slowly walking towards it. I nodded, following behind her.

Yeah. If this was the real exit, it'd be too easy, right? I walked up the steps, looking left and noticing a door. I walked over to it, reading what it said out loud. "Warning, high voltage electrical room..." I tried turning the handle but to no avail.

"It seems like we must head through the larger exit..." The sign on it says the escape is downwards... Maybe we're in some sort of building? But the courtyard... Now's not the time to think about that. If we survive, maybe there will be more answers afterwards... I payed attention to the lever next to the door.

Not knowing what was next, I walked up to it, placing my good hand on it. "Are you ready?" I asked the maid, who nodded. "Are you ready as well?" She asked. I'm not ready, but we're here now, so no stalling! "Yep!" Despite all the emotions that were flooding through me, I smiled. And before I knew it, I had pulled down the lever.

The doors opened with a loud creak, and I looked up the stairs hearing the familiar growl. Figure... I watched as it slowly made it's way down the stairs. "Shit, we need to run!" I spoke, which definitely caught Figure's attention. Being right in it's path, I turned around and began running, watching the maid run beside me as I did so.

Farther ahead, I watched the steel gates lift up revealing more closets. "I will head to the one on the left, you head to the one on the right!" I ordered, Kirumi listening as she sped up, sliding into the closet on the right. Quickly, I found myself hiding in the closet to the left.

I listened to the heavy footsteps of the monster as they approached. I froze watching Figure pause in front of my closet. Does it hear me? I could feel my heart racing. I need to calm down. This space is smaller than the library and the walls are concrete. It might be able to hear my heart beat if I'm not careful.

I tried to calm myself down, breathing slower and relaxing my body. This seemed to work as Figure turned away and began walking in a different direction. I waited and waited, but the footsteps of Figure walking around never seemed to end. The exit sign... I might need to head towards those stairs, and there was another area up the stairs behind where Figure appeared. I think I need to go there or down the stairs.

Gathering the courage to do so, I stepped outside of the closet, crouching down. I payed attention to the loud footsteps as they seemed to turn around and head towards me. Shit, I need to go, now! Not wanting to stand around any longer, I quickly stood and ran quickly towards the area where Figure had come from.

Before I knew it, I was in a full-on sprint heading up the stairs, despite not hearing the monster behind me I still continued to run until I found myself standing in front of what looked like an elevator. "Is this?..." I spoke, looking up towards the exit sign pointing at the elevator.

I cautiously headed towards it, stepping inside. My eyes quickly landed on a red button. It reads 'Notice, will lighten when powered'... We probably need something to get into that electrical room. That will power on the elevator, then we can get out of here!

My eyes darted around the room, searching for something, anything that could help us get in there. However, my eyes landed on something else. Is that some sort of switch? I picked up the small object on the ground, inspecting it. This looks important, I should probably hold onto it.

Looking around a bit more, I noticed a key. ...Wait... A key! It took me a minute to comprehend what I was seeing. I quickly ran over to it, picking it up. We can get out of here! This must be for the electrical room! Not stopping, I quickly turned back towards the direction of the stairs and ran.

Once at the bottom, I noticed Figure at the far end of the hallway walking around and seeming to not notice me. Using it to my advantage, I headed towards the electrical room and used the key on the lock, and before I knew it...

*Click*

I quickly pushed the door open, running inside. I noticed the other door in the room, and I attempted to open it but to no avail. Turning back around, I looked towards the electrical panel. Wanting to escape as fast as possible, I opened the panel, realizing the next challenge before me. 'One, two... There's ten in total, and if I'm right then...' I pulled the switch out of my pocket, placing it in the electrical panel. 'Shit...'

'So you have managed to open the door.' I heard Kirumi whisper. 'Kirumi, have you found any switches?' I asked in a serious tone. 'Yes, I have found eight of them.' Eight?! 'So then, we just need one more?' 'It seems so, yes. Do you know why we need the switches?'

'We need to get them all to turn on the power, which should turn on an elevator I found. There's an exit sign right next to it, it might be our escape.' Kirumi nodded, understanding. 'Should we go get the others? It will be difficult. They are slow and Figure is circling them...'

'How long does it take for each time it goes around?' 'Twenty seconds minimum.' Twenty seconds? That's not good... But maybe... 'What if I distracted Figure?' I proposed. 'That could work, but is it worth the risk-' 'Nishishi! Don't worry about me! You can just focus on getting Shuichi and Miu out of there, okay?'

I watched the maid nod in response, heading over to the electrical panel, placing the switches inside. After doing so, she looked towards me. 'Are you ready?' She whispered. 'As ready as I could ever be!' After saying that, the maid nodded, walking past me. I stood up, following behind.

Quickly, we exited the electrical room and stood at the entrance of the hallway that led to the others. I watched Figure walk by, not seeming to hear us. 'Good luck, Kokichi.' The maid spoke, a worried expression on her face. 'Good luck Kirumom!' hoping the nickname would've cheered her up rather then annoyed her, I walked down the hallway.

All the fear that I had ever pushed down before returned to me now. Rather then using the fear to cower, I began feeling the adrenaline from it. I looked up towards Figure, which made it's appearance to my left. I whistled, getting it to focus all it's attention on me.

Quickly, it began sprinting in my direction. I turned around, and began running in the opposite way. It footsteps shook the room as I made a sharp turn to the left, avoiding the puddles on the floor.

As it continued to chase me, I listened as it seemed to be catching up. Hiding is useless now! If I'm going to go down, I'm not gonna do it without a fight! As I ran forwards, a small object in the room far ahead of me caught my attention. The last switch!

Knowing the dangers, and the likeliness of my death... I couldn't stop myself from going for it. Tenko, Gonta, Korekiyo, Angie, Kaito, Himiko, Maki and Kaede, this is for you! All of you! I will survive this for everyone!

I sprinted into the room, grabbing the switch. I looked left and right. It was a closed off space. I looked towards the shelves, getting behind one.

Quickly, Figure ran inside. Forcing my body against the shelf, I knocked it onto Figure. Seeing it was distracted, I ran past it out of the room as I listened to the monster easily get the shelf off of itself. I ran back towards the main hallway, sprinting through it. I watched Kirumi leading Shuichi and Miu up the stairs, towards the elevator.

I jumped hearing Figure roaring out. I turned around, watching a large amount of flames appear from around the corner. Knowing it wasn't worth risking my life to check out, I headed into the electrical room. I approached the electrical panel, placing the last switch inside.

It suddenly lit up. I payed attention to the numbers as some appeared to have filled in squares and others empty. The switches have numbers one to ten, so I probably have to flick the switch for each number that's lit up...

I began flicking the switches, listening to the sound of fire crackling. Two... Six... Three... Nine... Wait, one out of three? I watched again as more numbers with lights appeared, the code appearing faster.

Three. Eight. One. Ten. Six... Two out of three, just one more! I watched the switches reset as the numbers appeared at an extremely quick rate. I shook as I flicked the switches. Eight, Three, Five, One, Seven... What do you mean question marks!? I watched the bar fill up most of the way, leaving a small gap between it at being full. I began hastily flicking the switches, each attempt seeming futile. But eventually...

Ten... It's Ten! Elevator power on!-

I jumped hearing a loud bang against the door behind me. The loud and aggressive noise seemed to shake the room. Shit! I need to run! I quickly turned towards the exit of the electrical room, hearing the door behind me slam open as I did so. It's so much faster than before!-

I barely had any time to think as I ran, feeling my heart pounding in my chest. The heat of the fire engulfed the room as I headed towards the stairs. I began running up them, knowing Figure was nearly right behind me.

As I approached the top of the stairs I nearly felt myself trip as the monster shook the stair case.

I'm so close! Just a little farther! As I turned the corner into the room, I looked at Kirumi, Miu, and Shuichi who stood in the elevator. Time began to seem slow as I ran towards them.

Despite loosing eight of us in the process, at least four of us get to make it out of here alive. It was our combined efforts to get us out of here. No matter the obstacle that has gotten in our path, some of us got past those obstacles and we moved forwards. This hotel couldn't kill us all, and because of that the others didn't die for nothing. Because of seeing the others reaching out to me in that elevator... I couldn't hold back anything any longer.

I watched the elevator doors begin to close. I sped up quickly, barely making it inside before noticing the doors closed behind me. I quickly turned around watching Figure bang against the metal, not seeming to be able to get in. And as the elevator began to lower, I couldn't help but laugh.

"D-Did we do it?!" Miu asked. I only continued to laugh as I leaned against the back of the elevator. "Kokichi? Are you alright?" Kirumi asked. As I felt the fear seem to evaporate from my body, I felt stress return. I stayed quiet, looking up towards Figure as it disappeared completely from sight. Slowly, the laughs I had used a disguise vanished, and soon it turned into quiet sniffles.

I looked away from the others as I felt tears, real tears, begin to fall down the sides of my face. Is it really over? Are we out of the hotel?... Are we out of the killing game?... Why don't I believe it now?... It seems too unreal... This has to be fake! It has to be!-

"Kokichi!" I froze at Shuichi's tone. "You did it! You saved us! You-" I turned around, facing the three with tears streaming down my face. "No. I didn't." I stated simply before continuing. "I killed Tenko and Korekiyo. I definitely killed Maki, and I couldn't save Himiko and hell, I didn't even check to see if Gonta was actually dead-"

I suddenly felt two arms around me, bringing me into a tight hug. "Don't you fuckin' dare say that Cockitchy!" Miu... Miu's hugging me? "You saved me more than once! You've ran to further closets so I could get the closer ones! You helped me after Kaito caused my foot to get all fucked up, and you saved us all a few rooms back when Rush came at us through the darkness!"

"But Angie-" I felt another pair of arms around me. Kirumi... "Angie had suggested we all remove our shoes, but if you didn't stop us or give me the idea to protect them more, we may have stepped on glass while Seek was chasing us." Kirumi spoke, tightening her embrace.

"What about Maki?-" The third pair of arms found their way around me, completing our group hug. "If Maki killed you, we would probably be dead right now. And because of that, I'm glad you made it. You helped me at times when Maki had completely ignored me, and she also killed Kaede... You're a fantastic leader, Kokichi. You got us here, not anybody else. It was you." Shuichi said as he began to cry as well.

As I felt more tears fall down my face, I didn't try to stop it. I further leaned into the others, the warmth bringing a small smile to my face. Maybe... Maybe I did do something... I did save them. That was my goal all along... And I did it. I promised that one of us would make it- And there's four of us! "T-Thank you guys..." As I felt the elevator continue to descend, I slowly heard a familiar noise. "W-What the-"

*THUD*

I watched in shock as Figure landed on the elevator, grabbing something and pulling it. Just as quickly as Figure appeared, the elevator began to descend at a rocketing speed. "N-NO!" Shuichi yelled. I watched as Figure rolled off the elevator, landing on some other floor. "S-Shit!" I cursed, as I felt my feet leave the floor.

Falling faster and faster, the realization that this wasn't an escape seemed to get to me. Only then did one thought cross my mind.

We haven't even hit rock bottom.
